An Illustrated Book of Bad Arguments Reviews

I bought one copy for myself, but ended up buying multiple copies to give away. There are so many people who need to learn how to see (and avoid perpetuating) all of these logical fallacies. Especially over social media.
-
It helps to have illustrations to trigger memory when trying remember specifics of fallacies.

The information is extremely well laid out and the illustrations are fabulous. I have preteen and teenaged children. Getting a good grasp on creating well thought out arguments has been really helpful with some challenging discussions 😂 Plus, I’ve always wanted to understand this material better and this book makes it entertaining to learn.

In the Internet age, we really need to be very careful re any information we imbibe. With every bit of news out there having a slant towards a particular agenda, and every comment section a buzzing hive of trolls, Bad Arguments helps prepare everyone willing, with a pleasant read that explains logic fallacies in a simple straightforward way, with great illustrations. ESSENTIAL.

This book clearly explains some of the most common logical fallacies with some delightfully quirky illustrations and lovely examples of their usage. A book aimed at the teen to adult market no doubt, but so well written and put together, it can be used to teach any interested pre teen to avoid falling into bad thinking habits.
