    Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning more about astronomy. There are so many beautiful photographs and informative diagrams to help explain the intricacies of space to the everyday person. This book covers a wide range of topics, such as: the solar system, galaxies, history of astronomy, star charts, etc. Excellent as a reference book for any age.

    Recent, and a great combination of facts and illustrations, both photo and graphic. The text is quite adequate for the lay reader and the organization suited me fine. It features three big sections:
    Introduction: What is the Universe; The Beginning and End of the Universe; the View from Earth
    Guide to the Universe
    The Night Sky, including a monthly sky guide
