Carrots Grow Underground Reviews
-
Part of the How Fruits and Vegetables Grow series, this title begins with carrot seeds and concludes with carrots being pulled from the ground to be eaten or remaining in the ground to shed seeds for the next growing season. There are several stock photographs of this delicious veggie as well as examples of other vegetables that grow underground.

This is part of a really great series. The pictures are bright and eye catching, but really also show the life cycle of the plants. Easy to sound out words help with early readers. I recommend this for K-2.
The one problem is that the books are rather small, so while there are good for individual reading they would not make good read aloud group books. -
A simple book about carrots, how they are grown and other root vegetables that people eat.

An easy reader about the carrot and other root vegetables growth underground.
