  • Christine Rains

London becomes fascinated with The Aegean Inn after seeing it on a paranormal investigation show. Booking a room, she is greeted by one of the gorgeous owners, Jacen. Jacen has been cursed to live as a satyr, and for him and his comrades to survive, they created a set of rules. Yet when he meets London, he wants to break them and see if she can keep the secret of the satyrs.

A fun and steamy peek into this world. I loved seeing something different in the paranormal genre. Jacen makes horns hot! It was quick read and so the plot moves along swiftly, but it's a fantastic set-up for the series. I know I'm immensely curious about the other satyrs and if any of them will ever find a nymph. What I loved most with the author's sense of humor, especially the bit with the heroine's name!

Not quite a complete story but nice to see some of the other satyrs out in the world. I would have loved to see this story expanded a bit; however I have hope there might be a more permanent HEA by the end of the series.

    I loved this book!

Ms. Lewis is that rare breed of author that is entirely comfortable in her element and feels the greatest risk is to NOT take a risk.

Retooling mythology is a challenge and one she rises to admirably. Her skill and subtle grace paint a compelling tapestry of witty dialogue, fluid plot line and the ability to undertake a task that many have taken before yet failed to execute for one reason or another. There are so many blurred lines and layers when it comes to writing mythology based tales. You'll run into the die-hard readers and writers who don't necessarily like any variations of those tales except for the original. Ms. Lewis possesses flair, intelligence and above all else, her writing is so solid that this isn't merely some story you're reading. Hell, no. You're not reading it!

    You. Are. Living. It.

Her entire Satyr series is chock full of vibrant characters, emotional investments you won't regret owning up to and endless possibilities. I think this short story is ab fab and is a fantastic intro if you're curious about the Satyrs and their world.

Satyr are a myth right? London is about to find aut diffrent. After watch a news report and seeing a shadow with horns, at a hotel she didn't even know was in her home town. London's interest is peaked. She attempts to get a room at the B&B. It seems she's not the only one that saw the report the hotel is booked. She leafs her info in hopes there is a cancelation. Living with a cure they can't control Jacen and his brothers have owed and lived at the Inn for eight years. Most of the time they share or take turns with the humans that come in so there is no attachment. London is about to change everthing for him.

This was a good short story. I really liked the connection between the characters, and of course who wouldn't like the satyr. This is the first book I have read of the series, and I can't wait to dive into the full story.

This was like being tossed head first into a swimming pool and coming for air only to realize the water is shallow enough to walk. At first I thought there was too much information being thrown at me but as I read further I began to understand it better and was able to get lost in the story.

Ms. Lewis sets up an amazing world in this little novella and immediately I was curious after all the Satyrs and their troubles. The romance in the tale however was a little short, a little quick. I'd have preferred a longer tale or less talk of the L word. That being said I'll have to read the next book, maybe these men develop emotions differently than others.

This is a short sexy read that will have you snapping up the rest of Ms. Lewis's series.

I'm currently reading this series about satyrs and I have to say loving it.

This is a short story about a group of satyrs running a hotel, there's four of them and this story focuses on Jacen.

London is into investigating pnr things so when she sees a report about the aegan hotel she wants in, that's where she meets Jacen.

This a fun short read and seemed longer than the 23 pages listed, you really got a feel for the characthers.

The only trouble is, I want to know more now, how did it work out in the end, have the others met anyone?

  • Lexie

Short and kind of plot-what-plot, but as its a companion story to the main books I don't mind. I mostly picked this up for the cover...and the Greek myth angle.

I rather hope it works out for these two kids, despite there being lack of development their banter was cute and I can't fault a guy for being brutally honest before bedding a woman.

I do judge London on her "ho" comment, but I give points to Jacen for (gently ) chiding her over judging what she doesn't understand.

I enjoyed this quickening into Lewis's Satyr world. It gave me a wonderful glimpse of her writing style and I adore her way with dialogue. One of my favorite parts is when the satyr is oogling London, leading lady, and starts a humorous banter about being a satyr and the stereotype.
And the demon penis...that was hilarious!
Looking forward to more from this indie author.

It was fun, it was interesting and it was definitely very smexy! I wish it was longer, though.... I was really interested in the characters, especially London, but that didn't happen. Hence the 3 stars. But it was a good read to pass the time.

This is a short story that goes along with the Cursed Satyroi series, but can be read as a stand alone.
This is Jacen and London's story but you will enjoy reading about the others too.

Midnight at the Satyr Inn is a short story in The Cursed Satyroi series. It tells the story of a curious woman’s (named London) desire to visit an allegedly haunted Bed & Breakfast in Savannah, GA. At the B&B we find it to be owned by a group of Satyr “brothers” using it as a front to find a nymph to end their curse (and sate their sexual appetites in the meantime). One brother in particular – Jacen – is instantly drawn to London.

I would not recommend reading the story without having read the first book of the series (Wicked Satyr Nights), as the first book brings a lot of the history that allows Midnight to make sense. For a quick read, I enjoyed it immensely. It was light and funny, but also details the instant chemistry between the two main characters. Like Wicked, the story left me wanting to learn more about the Satyroi (which I believe is the point, duh…). On to the next book in the series!

I listened to the Audible version.

    "I Couldn't Suspend Disbelief"

"Midnight at the Satyr Inn" was in the sub-genre of erotic romance I think, which is fine but I had a difficult time even at just a little over an hour listening to this book. It started out okay with the character of London but the story was just not there. The Satyr brothers were okay. There just wasn't a lot of character development and with that I had a hard time believing the story. Maybe there's another part to this that I've missed.

Gerry Hughes's narration was pretty good. He had a deep voice which I liked. He spoke clearly and had a nice tone. An overall good job.

I've quickly become addicted to this series! I'm not a fan of insta-love and it didn't actually proceed to that point, but the idea is present. There is mention, at least, of the protagonist's spending more time together to find out where the relationship may lead. It's a short, but really entertaining read that now has me hooked on Jacen. I am desperate to find out more. Not many books receive this reaction from me particularly, so it's more than deserving of 5 stars!

I love mythology and I am glad I read this novella. I enjoyed this fun story and it pack a punch of explaining what is a Satyr. I read this book for my book club without reading book one. This is a great story with wonderful chemistry between the two main characters. I loved the spicy sexy scenes. I will continue reading this series with a great paranormal genre.

I love this side story. London was smart to follow that music. Jasen deserves happiness, well they all do. I hope the other 3 find what London and Jasen have found. I also hope they find the other Satyrs or visa versa. I can't wait to read more.

    Great read!

This was a fun, short read. It's nice to read a story every once in awhile that flows so well and isn't complicated with drama or this and that. Just a straight forward love story. I enjoyed reading it and can't wait to see what happens next for these 4 sexy starts!

  • McKayla Schutt

I picked this book because it was a part of a online book club I found. At first I was worried I had grabbed a horror story but was very happy to find a hot and steamy romance. Can`t wait to find out what happens next. I like how the Satyr isn't the bad guy but a little naughty.

  • Ani Gonzalez

Loved the concept of the Satyr Inn and the Savannah atmosphere. A short, steamy read.
