  Tanıtım videosunu izledikten sonra bu kitabı kesinlikle benim olmalı diye düşünmüştüm. Arkadya'nın 8 Mart Dünya Kadınlar Günü'nde yaptığı çekilişle de benim oldu =D Güzel bir roman okuyacağımı biliyordum ama bu derece güzel olacağını hiç tahmin etmemiştim.
  
  Kitabımız gazeteci Matt'in kardeşiyle gittiği bir barda başlıyor. Matt kardeşinden gözünü bir anlığına ayırıyor ve geri baktığında kardeşini göremiyor. Tüm barı aramasına rağmen kardeşini bulamıyor. Bir gün sonra terk edilmiş bir evde kız kardeşinin çıplak cesedi bulunur. Kardeşinin cinayetiyle ilgili tek ipucu vardır. Kız kardeşinin kaçırıldığı saatlerde Ipod'una yüklenmiş bir şarkı. "Pariste Bir Sevgili... Başını Kestim..." Matt bu ipucunun başka cinayetleri de işaret ettiğini düşünerek Paris'e gider...
  
  Kitabın başından itibaren katilin duygularını öğrenmemiz hem heyecan kattı hemde kitaba çabucak kuru gerilim yerine katilin duygularını ve psikolojik durumunu anlayarak empati kurmamı sağladı. Benim gözümde Tess kitaplarından daha değerli bir kitap oldu. Temposu hiç düşmedi ama 250 sayfadan sonra kitabın temposu tavan yaptı. Bir türlü elimden bırakamadım. Hele o yeraltı mezarlığında geçen bölümler harikaydı!
  
  Normalde bir kitabı bir kereden fazla okumam ama Ölüm Şarkısını bir ara tekrar okumayı planlıyorum. Araştırma yapmadım ama yazarlarımızın birçok kitabının olmasını ve Arkadya'nın bizi bu kitaplarla bir an önce buluşturmasını umuyorum:)

  Vayyy müthiş kitaptı ilaç gibi geldi bana...
  Çeşitli ülkelerde katilleri bulunamamış kadın cesetleri... Yıllardır kayıp olan genç bir kadın... Her biri kendi ülkesindeki polis teşkilatlarında araştırılıp sonuca bağlanamamış olaylar... Ta ki bir gün Pulitzer ödüllü gazeteci Matt'in kız kardeşi de bu cesetlerin arasına katılana kadar... Miami'de başlayan olay, Matt'in Paris'e gidip Fransız dedektif Eve ile katili bulmalarını sağlayacak olan ipuçlarını bir araya getirerek Londra, İskoçya ve tekrar Paris'e uzanan bir maceraya dönüşüyor... Katilin çok akıllıca düşünmüş olduğu bulmacalar, Matt ve Eve'in bunları çözme çabaları, katille ilgili gerçeklerin zamanla su yüzüne çıkması... Kitabı elime aldım bitene kadar soluksuz okudum... Çok beğendim... Hikaye bir nevi ters işliyor o da ayrı hoşuma gitti ;) Valla okursanız pişman olmazsınız diyorum ben(ama zevkler ve renkler meselesi var tabiii:) )Okuyacak olanlara şimdiden keyifli okumalar ;)

  Another excellent book by the Sisters! I must say first though that I am really disappointed that this is not a Louis Kincaid book and that I think the fans of the Sisters have waited long enough for another one. This character was fantastic though. easy to be sucked into the book. Lots of thrills and just an all around good read. But, it is time to get back to Louis!

  Merhabalaaaar ✌️ bir cinayet romanı ve yine ben! Bayılıyorum polisiye ve gizem kitaplarına... İlk defa Arkadya'dan bit polisiye okudum çünkü biliyoruz ki Arkadya biraz aşk biraz tarihi roman konusunda usta. Ama polisiye konusunda da kesinlikle iyiymiş!
  
  
  Kısaca konuyu özet geçeyim, Matt Owens bir gazetecidir. Miami'de yaşayan Matt'i ziyarete küçük kız kardeşi Mandy gelir birlikte güzel bir tatil yapan ikilinin, bir gece bir bardayken hayatları çıkmaza sürüklenir. Matt bir an lığına kardeşinden gözünü ayırır ve kız kardeşi kayıplara karışır. Telaşlanan Matt, hemen polise haber verir ve çok geçmeden kız kardeşinin cesedi bulunur. Polis hiçbir ipucu bulamaz, Matt de öyle ta ki Bir Ipod dışında ve Ipod'da bir şarkı vardır,
  
   'Paris' te bir sevgili... Başını kestim
  . Kemiklerini alıp Bois de Boulogne Parkı'na götürdüm...'
  
  Ve Matt araştırmasına bir delilik yapıp Paris'te devam etme kararı alır ve Fransız dedektif Eve'nin yardımı ile de katile bir adım daha yaklaşır.

  Kitabı sevdim. Akıcı olması, polisiyr kitapların en önemli özelliği. O kadar akıcıydı ki, bir başladım bir bitirdim. Heyecan doluydu. Merak unsurum fazla yoktu, yalan söyleyemem çünkü katilin bakış açısından okuyorduk hikayeyi aynı zamanda ve bu sayede katilin kimliği ortadaydı ve nedeni de az çok tahmin edilebilirdi ama ben yine de kitabı sevdim
  Eğer akıcı bir polisiye roman okumak istiyorsanız, işte size mükemmel bir fırsat! (18 yaşından küçükler, 18 yaşından sonra okusun ama 🙄) 💛
  
  Katilin bir çellist olması, çelloya bakışımı da değiştirdi bu arada, ilginç!!!!! 🤔🤔🤔

  I loved this book. Some of the parts in the tunnel were hard for me, because I am claustrophobic. This book grabs you from page 1 and doesn't let you go until the last page. I can see where Matt could have a series of his own. I liked going to Europe this weekend in this book and some of the scenes were written so clearly I felt like I was there.
  
  I am giving this 5 out of 5 stars and hope to see more with Matt Owens.

  Kitabın son sayfasını kapattım ve vayy canına ne okudum ben dedim. Kitabı tesadüf eseri internet üzerinde değişik ne tür okuyabilirim diye araştırma yaparken farkettim ve yorumları da iyi olunca vakit kaybetmeden aldım. Okurken yine de başta tereddüt ettim; çünkü polisiye pek okumuyorum. Daha çok romantik polisiye (Linda Howard, Lena Diaz gibi..) kitapları tercihimdir. Ama işte o ama var ki kitap nasıl bitti anlayamadım sanki Matt Owens katile dair ipuçlarını birleştirmeye çalışırken yanımda, okuduğum sahneleri birebir yaşıyormuşum gibi hissettim. Abartmıyorum aralıksız okudum ve 4 saatte bitirdim kitabı. Kurgusu, anlatımı benim için mükemmeldi. Benim için diyorum çünkü; polisiye tutkunları için ortalama düzeyde olabilir ama benim için kesinlikle çok ama çok iyiydi. Umarım Arkadya Yayınları yazarın diğer kitaplarına da şans verir.

  Laurent gülümsedi. Müzikle ilgili bilmeceleri üzerinde çok uğraşmış, her kıza ve mekana uygun şarkıyı bulabilmek için çok kafa yormuştu. Tıpkı eski Dedektif Maigret romanlarındaki katillerin, arkalarında bir dizi ipucu bıraktıklarını düşündürmeleri gibi. Şu ana kadar bunların bir bilmecenin parçası olduğunu görüp, çözebilecek kadar zeki biri çıkmamıştı. Ama şu Amerikalı adam bunu anlamıştı. Evet etkileyiciydi. Ama ortada endişelenilecek bir durum yoktu.

  Hayatımın uzun bir kısmı boyunca polisiye sevmediğime kendimi ikna etmiştim ama bunun için elimde hiçbir dayanak yoktu. Toplamda sanırım 4 tane polisiye kitap okudum ve bu da beşincisi ve aralarında sadece bir tanesini sevmedim. Ahmet Ümit'in Sultanı Öldürmek kitabıydı o da. Ondan sonra zaten polisiyeden soğumuş olabilirim. Ama Ölüm Şarkısı neredeyse beş altı yıldır kitaplığımdaydı ve artık okumam gerek diye düşündüm. Üstelik son birkaç aydır polisiyeyi de aslında seviyor olduğumun bilincindeyim. Okuduğum için hiç de pişman değilim. Okurken çok keyif aldığım bir kitap oldu.
  
  Cinayetlerin çeşitli yerlere yayılmış olması ve karakterlerimizin onların peşinden dolaşması, müziğin kullanılış şekli çok hoşuma gitti. Kitap temposunu hiç kaybetmedi ve iki oturuşta, toplamda üç buçuk saat gibi bir sürede bitirdim.
  
  Karakterleri bir ölçüde sevdim. Spesifik olarak herhangi bir karakterden rahatsız olmadım ya da çok sevmedim. Sadece karakterler arası ilişkilerin çok hızlı ilerlediğini düşünüyorum. Ama karakterler konusunda en sevmediğim şey hepsinin fazla kitap karakteri olmasıydı. Hatta kitapla alakalı sevmediğim ve beni 4 - 4.5 vermekten geri tutan en önemli şey kitabın fazlasıyla kitap olmasıydı. Çok fazla gerçek suç belgeseli ve podcasti takip etmeme bağlayarak bu durumu kitaptaki çoğu şeyin gerçekte olmayacağını düşünürek okudum.
  
  "Çoğu bulmaca bu bir kitap olmasa bence çözülemezdi. Kimse noktaları bu şekilde birleştiremezdi. Bu adamı bulmaya beş yılını veren Eve bile yapamamıştı. Bu bir kitap olduğu için Amerikalı bir gazeteci bütün noktaalrı bu kadar rahat birleştirdi."
  
  Şeklinde düşündüm çoğu yerde. Ama sonuçta bunun zaten bir kitap olduğunun bilincinde olduğumdan kitaptan keyif almamı çok da etkilemedi. Gayet merakla okudum.
  
  Bir diğer nokta ise başlarda katilinde yaptığı şeyleri okumak benim heyecanımı biraz kırmıştı. Büyük ihtimalle katilden okumasak ve zaten katilin kimliğini bilmiyor olsak daha fazla severdim diye düşünüyorum.. Ama katilin kısımları da önemli noktalar olduğundan ve yazarlar bu noktaları katilden aktarmadan okuyucuya anlatamayacağından buna anlam verebiliyorum. Başka türlü buralar nasıl anlatılırdı bilemiyorum.
  
  Kitapla ilgili beni en çok hayal kırıklığına uğratan şey sanırım sonuydu. Bütün o koşuşturmacanın sonunda sanırım daha farklı bir son istiyordum. En azından katil için. Ama buna da razıyım.
  
  Kısacası genel olarak keyif aldığım ama bir iki küçük noktaya takıldığım güzel bir okumaydı.

  THE KILLING SONG by P.J. Parrish is one of my favorite reads so far this year! It's a very compulsive read! I was driven to read page after page of breathtaking, heart pounding suspense to the point where I just couldn't tear myself away from it until I finished! I personally think that this book is the best one YET that the P.J. Parrish sisters have written to this day!
  
  The story starts out with Matt who is a Pulitzer Prize - nominated journalist that now spends more time lost drinking himself in to a stuper instead of writing something worth while. His little sister Mandy, who recently returned from Paris shows up to visit. All along, the only thing Mandy loved talking about was her job at her big computer corporation & her dream of someday becoming a professional Tennis player & her six toed cat named Toby. Also she went on & on about & her boyfriend who stole all the ir savings from the bank & took off without a word! Matt decides to show his little sister a good time by taking her to a popular dance club, but while waiting on Mandy to have one last dance, Matt takes his eyes off his sister for just a minute & when he turns around again, she seems to have vanished in to think air. At first he thinks she was in the ladies room but when he looks for her, she's not there either! Striken with grief Matt goes to the police for help, but after the police find his sister's broken body, he starts on a breathtaking search for her killer after the police seem to ignore clues only Matt believes the killer left behind! Little does he know that this search will take him all over the world, even to one of the most macabre places find in the underground of France.
  I can only say that I hope that the P.J. Parrish sisters continue to write more thrillers like THE KILLING SONG! Even though I'm a huge fan of their Louis Kincaid series,it was a nice & refreshing break from his character.

Matt and Eve's hunt takes them from upscale apartments to a Scottish castle to the catacombs beneath Paris. Can they stop the murderer before he plays his killing song again?
  
  The two sisters who write as P.J. Parrish prove conclusively that two heads are better than one. The Killing Song alternates between the viewpoints of the flawed hero and the deranged killer. Matt may be a top reporter, but the loss of his sister forces him to realize he needs to change if he's ever to find happiness in his personal life.
  
  Despite the deep emotional elements, though, Parrish keeps the reader's feet to the fire with unrelenting tension. While the graphic murder scenes will bring on chills, the true artillery lies in the detailed insight into the killer's twisted mind as he performs his murders with the same concentration he brings to his music. You may never view classical music the same way again.

  The author of The Killing Song, P.J. Parrish is actually two sisters, Kelly Nichols and Kris Montee. How I have not been aware of this writing team, I do not know, but I want to read more. This book was intense. I could feel the evilness of the serial killer seeping off the pages. He was twisted, disturbed, kinky, and very cunning - everything I love to hate in a villain. Matt Owens is the ideal broken hero. From Putlitzer Prize nominated to just shy of an alcoholic, he has to pull himself together to find his sister's killer. He's not perfect, but he's determined, and I found it easy to care about him and root for him to succeed.
  
  The story moves quickly from clue to clue with snippets of the killer's evil-doings in between. It's not a fast read, but it's a gripping, emotional one. When you start reading it, be prepared, and hang on for the ride. It's worth it!

  A First Reads Giveaway I finished it in one and a half days it was that compelling. The first chapter didn't really grab me. Thought it would be just another routine find the killer of a young girl plot. Within pages, however, it became clear that the characters in this book, especially the killer, were complex and interesting. The writing style just kept leading you deeper and deeper into the mystery--glimpses of the murderer and his history making you want to learn ever more about him. The settings, too, kept me reading--from the nightlife of Miami to the streets and metro and catacombs of Paris, to the fading rock scenes of London, to the pastoral settings of urban parks and countryside Scotland. The brother of a murdered young girl and the female Parisian detective with whom he joins forces lead the reader ever closer to the madman who kills with the pick of a cello and leaves musical clues to prior murders behind. Gripping to the last coda.

  First time reading this sister duo who are known as P.J. Parrish. The book was on the "new shelf" at my local library and decided to give it a read. This novel is written with a new hero, taken them away from the Louis Kinkaid character which you may be more familiar with. This novel kept me riveted right from the beginning. The flow of the events ran smoothly all the way to the terrific ending. Look forward to other novels with our intrepid reporter Matt Owens.

  Killing Song is a great mystery set in Miami, London, and Paris - not just in above ground world of Paris, not just in the sewers below, but also in the mines that apparently exist below Paris. The mystery is well thought out, the characters interesting, and the plot, not just exciting, but also psychologically thoughtful. Novelist pair Kristy Montee and Kelly Nichols come together in the form of PJ Parrish to write a terrific mystery and it is definitely worth reading!

Kız bulunduğunda cani bir şekilde öldürülmüştür ve yanındaki iPod’unda kızın sevmediği bir türden müzik vardır. Bu müzik kızın öldürüldüğü saatte yüklenmiştir. Matt de bunu katilin yüklediğini düşünür ve işin peşini bırakmaz.
  
  Konu güzel. Bu seri katil sarışın ve mavi gözlü kadınları öldürüyor. Kitabı okurken bunun sebebini öğrenmek için can attım ama yazarın çok uzattığını düşünüyorum. Gereksiz ayrıntılara girdi. Yaklaşık 430 sayfa olan bu kitabı 350 sayfaya indirebilirdi bence. Kitap bu kadar uzamasaydı bir haftada değil daha kısa sürede bitirirdim.
  Ayrıca kitabın arkasında ‘Ya severek dinlediğiniz bir şarkı, bir gün ölüm şarkınız olursa?’ yazıyor. Böyle bir şeye değinilmedi bile.
  Sonunu beğendim. Paris yeraltı mezarlarından bahsetmesi hoşuma gitti ve bu yeraltı mezarlarını araştırdım. Gerçekten ilgimi çekti.
  
  Okumazsanız bir şey kaybetmezsiniz ama elinizin altında bulunuyorsa yine de bir şans verin derim.

  Story opens with an insight into our villain. How he acts and thinks and the sort of mind this killer has. A great way to start off a thriller that immediately captures the attention and we get several more chapters from his side. I am quite enjoying the back and forth.
  Great growing sense of tension as yet another death has taken place. Quite the feeling of loss and sadness and knowing the case has a personal stake to it for the main character.
  Chapters are relatively short, letting the reader fly through then. You get enough happening to want to keep reading on.
  Both characters seems to be quite lucky with how things are turning out for them, it doesn't quite feel like there is much tension or obstacles to deal with.
  The addition/element of incorporating music is a very interesting choice and it adds a new and unique weight to the story that I found enjoyable.

  Oh be! Uzun zamandır şöyle ağız tadıyla bir cinayet romanı okuyamıyordum ve aradığımı nihayet bulabildim. Trendeki Kız’ı yarım bırakıp buna başladım ve ilaç gibi geldi diyebilirim. Öncelikle bu kitapta katilin kim olduğunu aramıyorsunuz aksine katil belli ve kurbanın ağabeyi ile katilin koşuşturmacasını okuyorsunuz.
  
  Yeni tanıştığım bir yazar ve girişi bile ben çok etkilediğini söylemek istiyorum. Uzun zamandır kitaplığımda duruyordu ve anca okuyabildim. Matt ve Eve çok sevdiğim karakter . Yazarın anlatım tarzı da oldukça akıcı ve güzeldi; okurları sıkmıyordu.
  
  Gazeteci olan Matt Owens’in kız kardeşi Amandanın Matt’i ziyarete gelmesi ile başlıyor kitap. Matt, Miami de yaşayan bekar bir adamdır ve gelen kardeşini gezdirmek amacı bir gece Club’a giderler. Matt, bunun bir ipucu olduğunu anlar ve katili bulmak amaçlı ilk uçakla Paris’e gider.
  
  Beş farklı ceset ve beş farklı yer ile bulduğu ipuçlarını birleştirmeye çalışan Matt , Fransız dedektif Eve ile katili arama çabalarına girer. Kitapta beni çok etkileyen yerlerden biri de Paris’in yeraltı mezarlığına girmeleriydi. Ürkütücüydü.
  
  Genel olarak polisiye ve cinayet romanlarını sevenlere tavsiye ederim yazarın kurgusu güzel okurken sıkıldığım söylenemez. Okuyacak arkadaşlara keyifli okumalar dilerim.

  I have read all of P.J. Parrish's books about the P.I. Louis Kincaid and enjoyed them all. This one had a different main character,Matt Owens, a journalist chasing the killer of his little sister across France, England, and Scotland. By midway in the book I was bored silly and skimmed the rest just to have it done with. Maybe knowing who the killer was from the first was the problem or maybe I just didn't like the chase, but at the end all I can say is there was nothing thrilling about this thriller.

  I started this book on a flight home three weeks ago. I got a third of it read when I arrived and had to put it aside because I had 3 library books to read that were due in a week. I really hated not finishing it, but when I went back the other day it didn't take me long to remember the great story.
  
  It contains all the things I really enjoy in a good thriller: good characters, serial killer, great plot and interesting locations!!!

  What an excellent page-turner! From the beginning I was hooked, flipping pages like I had hours before the book would self-destruct. A madman is slaughtering victims from Miami to Paris, yet he leaves behind subtle clues. Clues that a grief-stricken brother NEEDS to follow regardless of what he might find. This leads to a fast-paced romp through the darkest and most dangerous places in the world -- an unputdownable storyline. Though I also enjoy the authors' long-standing Louis Kincaid series, I think this is my favorite book of all. 'Course, give me a well-crafted serial killer who isn't a cookie cutter stereotype, and I'm all in. I need to know what he or she will do next. Highly recommend.

  Okuduğum kitaplarda nadiren alıntı yaparım. Bu kitap için, okuduğum en iyi polisiye kitabı olduğunu söyleyemem. Ancak içerisinde bulunan beni etkileyen çok fazla alıntı var. Okumuş olduğum dönem ile alakası olabilir. Tüm bu alıntılar bu kitabı benim için daha anlamlı ve unutulmaz kıldılar.

  This story was ok. It took a while to get into the book and then I felt like I just wanted to get it over with. I have read this author before with varying degrees of interest. It might be time to abandon her (them) and go onto to others. I think that the storylines always look compelling but something just doesn't make it the best story it could be. But I wonder how two authors writing under one name can make that happen and maybe the answer is they cannot.

  I have already reread this book multiple times, and I love it each time. It still unnerves me a little bit. But, the detail, planning, and thought that went into each character, their motives, their actions, I love all of it. I absolutely love these authors as well. I was lucky enough to meet both authors when they visited the library in my hometown. I bought a copy of this book and it was signed moments later. Overall, a ten-out-of-ten book.

  I would characterize this book as a thriller, with the main character, Matt, hunting down a serial killer. Matt teams up with police officer Eve to hunt down a man who has killed at least 5 young women. Their search takes them from Paris to London to Edinburgh, and back to Paris. Toward the end of the book when they were closing in on the killer, the story was so intense I could hardly breathe. Another really, really good book by PJ Parrish.
