I cried like a baby. Probably even more than all the previous times. My heart broke for Beauregard. I have no idea why I love this story so much, but it calls me to me in a way that I can't explain. Maybe it's how Beauregard isn't accepted. Maybe it's how he just wants love and thought he'd get it from Sebastian. I loved how Galen stood up to Sebastian. I loved the groveling. Sigh.

Well, I read this book 4 times in a year and I have to say it never gets old. I still love Beauregard. I love this book so much I bought it in paperback, as well, just so it can sit on my shelf :) This 4th time around I read the paperback and it was weird sitting with an actual book and not my Kindle in my hand. HA! I hardly read them anymore.

Holy Sheep! This story gutted me for some reason. My heart BROKE for Beauregard. I wanted to castrate Sebastian and that's all there is to it. This is how I felt with Sebastion and Beauregard:
Sebastian is a spoiled brat and Beauregard is as sweet and cute as can be. Hot damn, I loved him.
I will say though that the groveling was spot on. Perfect. I loved how Sebastian knew he was in the wrong, but Beauregard was still hurt so he wouldn't accept it. It felt REAL to me. Unlike the whole "oh I am sorry" "you're forgiven, let's have sex" thing we are used to in make-ups. Or should I say I am used to cause it seems like only a "sorry" is needed anymore and all is forgotten.
I laughed so hard in this one, but yet, I cried so hard I thought I would die. My heart couldn't take it. I am not sure why this got to me so much, but I am not complaining. -
The concept of the 'forced matings', including all the consequences if people don't obey these totally arbitrary (as far as I can see even after the second book) rules was still a bit ridiculous.
What made this book more enjoyable than the first was the characters. Beauregard, the bunny, made me laugh out loud several times. Yes, he may have been a bit over the top, but I still liked him. With Sebastian the dragon being so different, it made for a very entertaining read. I loved the twist about the white bunny shifter's physiology as well, it was a total surprise, but a very good one.
A very funny, entertaining read, once you manage to suspend your disbelief around the forced mating idea. -

I feel angry. That is what book-angst does to me.
I stayed up late to finish this and now have a headache.
I thought this would be another fluffy mpreg shifter read. My guilty pleasure. But instead I got a stupid misunderstanding.
This is what happens:
“You’ve all taken a toast with me. As such, you are now bound by the covenants we put before you.”
“Each of you has twenty-four hours to find and claim your mate,” Elder Lucas said. “If you fail to claim a mate in twenty-four hours, and bring him or her before this council to be recognized, you will not have a mate. You will go feral inside of a week.”
Sebastian is a dragon shifter. The dragon prince to be exact. And he is not looking for a mate. But when he saves a man from a forced mating, he decides to take him as a mate. It turns out the man’s name is Beauregard and he is a bunny shifter.
It was really cute, a dragon and a bunny shifter. And I loved how Sebastian kept calling Beauregard bunny.
So far everything was fine. They were mated and headed to Sebastian’s castle to live happily ever after. And there was lots of hot sex, which was good.
But then Sebastian acts like a total ass when Beauregard tells him he is pregnant. Sebastian walks away, tells his servants to move Beauregard into a smaller room and doesn’t talk to his mate for several weeks. Beauregard is heartbroken and has no idea what’s going on. Turns out Sebastian was convinced Beauregard cheated on him because no way that baby could have been his, since they’d only known each other for two weeks. Of course the stupid stupid man didn’t take into account the fact that bunny pregnancies last 40 days instead of 40 weeks.
What bothered me the most was that Sebastian really treated Beauregard like shit. He didn’t talk to him and he banned him to a small room in the castle. Poor Beauregard went through his entire pregnancy alone and miserable.
It took a long time for Beauregard to forgive Sebastian. But if I were him, I would have dumped his ass.
If this sort of thing doesn’t bother you, this is actually a pretty good mpreg shifter story.
It just made me very angry.

I'm very surprised to say that I enjoyed this as much as I did! I mean, sure, this wasn't exactly highbrow lit-ra-chure, but sometimes you just need silly, and this was silly and cute. It had some tropes that I don't usually enjoy much, but they worked well for me here.

The bunny was great, although I sort of wished I had seen more of his antics and bubblegum fetish( he seemed to spend all his time In his room ) and I liked the Dragon! :)
The big misunderstanding had to happen, of course, but the groveling in this one was enough to make me happy! :)
And you could see how much the dragon wanted to make his bunny happy even before the big Mis.

This was a reread, after a conversation on the greatness of mpreg books with Jenni Lea and teaching Gina what mpreg actually is, I decided it needed to be celebrated by rereading this one.
It's still so cute, I mean a bubblegum chewing ( only watermelon please) toenail painting, cute green bunny purse wearing bunny shifter, Beauregard being unwittingly and not quite willingly mated to the prince of dragons.
So yes, great set-up.
Beauregard was honest to his mate from the onset : “However, I am still a rabbit. That being said, and considering we are now mated, you should know that rabbits are clichés. As the saying goes, we fuck like bunnies. Carrots are an aphrodisiac, and if you piss me off, I will leave pellets in your shoes.”
I have to admit, I really really wished he had left those pellets in Sebastian's shoes.
Sebastian, Prince of the dragons and full of himself and asshat not only screws Beauregard, he sort of screws him over.
I was so mad at him a lot of the times and yes he grovels, but it's never enough for me. ( you can never have enough groveling)
But still, it's cute, silly fun and I totally have flashes to the movie Shrek right there at the end. -
This was a short quick funny read. I mean a bunny and a shifter mated. This is book two in the Midnight Matings series this one was written by one of my favorite shifter m/m writers Stormy Glenn. The elders are tired of their younger people playing the field, causing trouble, and fighting with each other. Everyone who attends the UPAC Conference now has twenty-four hours to claim a mate of a different species. If they don't, they will never have a mate. The spell is cast. There is no escaping the Midnight Matings. Beauregard Stratford is a bunny shifter yes a bunny named Beauregard he is the only all white bunny shifter existence. He also is cursed with violet eyes, hyperactivity, a strong weakness for anything shiny, and a penchant for leaving bubble gum everywhere. Sebastian Drakus, a dragon shifter and prince. Sebastian can't believe that the elders are doing this he doesn't want a mate and as he tries to leave as the violence breaks out around him from the other shifters trying to claim mates as fast as possible he comes to the rescue of Beauregard who is running from a wolf who is trying to force him to mate with him. This book was funny I mean the things Beauregard gets into and his special skill of being so flexible. Sebastian who has to fight off a man that was his play toy who was not taking know for answer and a big misunderstanding. Beauregard who was a virgin before mating with Sebastian gets pregnant and Sebastian thinking that he was lied to not knowing that bunny shifters can get pregnant. This was a very good book that I didn't want it to end after everything that these two went through. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. If you like reading hot paranormal shifters who have hot sex and the book is funny. I recommend that you read this book. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

This was silly, so very ridiculously silly...and yet it made me smile throughout so three stars.
Chick with a dick to the extreme, confusing and crazy mpregnancy, weird woman-less world, every mills and boons trope thrown in to maximum effect, substantial editing errors, plus some shifting to top it off and you have the Pulitzer Prize equivalent of pulp with which to pass time on the train. -

I actually believe I felt a few braincells dying while reading this:) Still, bunny tails and smoke brathing dragons aside, it was not bad, in fact I actually enjoyed it. Which makes me ashamed I must admit, but there you have it. -
The premise of this series is rather disturbing. I find it hard to believe that the idea of forcibly making the paranormal community mate by putting something in their drinks and giving them 24h to find a mate is the idea of a mature, intelligent Council of Elders. Maybe because it sounds too close to rape aided by the use of date rape drugs?
Beauregard is saved from this fate by Sebastian. Thinking the best solution is to just mate each other; they do so and make their way to Sebastian’s castle, where they end up really falling for the other. Sebastian isn’t the big, bad dragon he wants Beauregard to believe he is, at least not with his mate. He was gruff but loving and totally unready for being mated to a hyperactive white bunny shifter. For his part Bunny was lovely. Cute and bouncy, he was an adorable character who just wanted to be loved. I liked the rabbit shifters’ traditions and their mating rituals but never really understood why Beauregard was shunned by his own kind, which was a little frustrating.
Stormy Glenn relied on the usual massive misunderstanding to add tension towards the end. But it was fun reading about Sebastian grovelling when he pulled his head out of his ass :) And their babies were just so cute! I wish we could get a story on each of them when they grow up! -
I love Stormy Glenn, so I knew I was in for a treat! This was really good, a rabbit shifter and a dragon shifter. My heart broke for Beau at one point, and I don't think I would have ever forgave my mate for what Sebastian did.
One thing that is going to start to get annoying is if they all begin with the same counsel scene, which I suspect they do! -

I liked the story and the characters, but I had a big problem with the writing and editing. There were numerous repetitions in the text, both things we'd already been told before (sometimes twice), and words repetitions. In one place, for example, six paragraphs in a row start with "Sebastian". There were also a lot of typos that bothered me. I don't mind some, but I get annoyed when there are too many. The writing itself also bothered me. It was very "telling" with very little "showing". This is my first read by Stormy Glenn, but I'm hoping this isn't the best example of her writing style. I'm surprised Siren Publishing didn't do a better job of editing. This is also my first Siren Publishing read.
There were problems with the characters, but they weren't as big as the writing. The Wolf shifter at the beginning - the one chasing Beauregard - sounds so simple minded with his limited vocab. He kept repeating the same lines over and over. It wasn't the effects of the spell, because Sebastian was thinking clearly enough. Appart from that, I did like how Sebastian and Beauregard met and the mating ceremony was hillarious.
The interactions between the main characters were sweet most of the time. I kept waiting to see that first kiss though, but it never happened. I felt it was missing. It also bothered me how Sebastian kept calling Beauregard "bunny" in almost every sentence he uttered. It was cute at first and would have been fine, if it hadn't been so often.
I'm not a big fan of easy acceptances, and there were quite a few in this story. I felt that Beauregard should have been more bothered that Sebastian had slept around before their mating, since Beauregard was raised with high values of waiting before being mated. Beauregard just shrugged it off. I also felt that Sebastian was too quick to realize that he'd been a scum to Beauregard toward the end. It was like someone pushed a button and Sebastian suddenly saw the light. I wish he'd come to the realization more gradually.
Despite the problems I had with the writing and story, I did enjoy it. It was cute, funny, and heartwrenching. I liked the part where Sebastian was in the dog house. I would have given this book two stars if Beauregard had accepted Sebastian too easily (I half expected he would, but was glad that he didn't). The pace was also decent and I never got bored. -
Don't expect in depth life changing plot lines when it comes to this series. It's meant to be fun and I think that the authors have some crazy bet going on who can come up with the most crazy shifter combination!

This story is a hoot. Beauregard and Sebastian are seemly mismatched Dragon and Rabbit shifters that come together at the behest of the Council of Elders. Their meeting starts off with a bang and gets crazier from there. They are hilarious together, but when they arrive home to Sebastian's castle, it turns out there are some hurdles for them to get over before their HEA.
Both have large personalities and there are quite a few misunderstandings. Communication is not their strong suit. Luckily they have some help and some patience. Adorable and cute story! -

Let me start this review by admitting, that I am not much of a shifter girl. So to win me over, a shifter story needs strong world building, a good plot and characters with depth. Unfortunately, this story had neither.
The story takes place in a world, where there are mythical creatures of all kinds roaming the world among the humans. The shifters / different types of beings are fighting among themselves, so the elders device a plan to gain peace through forced interracial mating. They summon the shifters to a gathering and pose a decree which forces everyone to mate within 24 hours or literally sign their own death sentence.
Our MCs Sebastian and Beauregard are dragon and rabbit shifter respectively and end up with each other by chance at the gathering.
This was book 2 in a series of 20 books, and I do not know, if some of the world building I felt was needed, was actually done in book one and therefore I missed it, but I had a lot of questions right of the bat, around the gathering and the decree, but they were unfortunately never answered.
When Sebastian returns to his castle with his new mate, everyone – including the two of them – are very worried about how everything is going to work out, with the bunny rabbit living in the Dragon’s lair. Because apparently Beauregard is a feisty, funny bunny, who is “a bit of a handful”. Or at least, we are told he is. Because we never actually see any of them do anything other than sleep or fuck – which seems kind of low maintenance, really.
There are two main conflicts in the story, one is from an outside party and makes very little sense, but it does create quite a big confrontational scene, where the respective players conveniently enters the stage at just the right time, to ensure that nothing gets too out of hand.
The other is between the two main characters and one my very least favorite tropes: The Big Misunderstanding. I absolutely detest conflicts which could have been avoided if the main characters had had a 30 second conversation, but they don’t, so the latter half of the book revolves around this misunderstanding. Unsurprisingly though, everything gets sorted out at the end, and just in time for Sebastian and Beauregard to become parents and live happily ever after.
The ending did leave me with another question though, which I presume might be answered in one of the next 18 books, but that unfortunately means, that I will never know.
All in all, the idea had merit, but it lacked severely in execution. The minimal world building left way too many questions unanswered and the rushed story and lack of character depth – all tell and no show – left me unengaged with the relationship. -
Sometime you need something with no emotional involvement, meaning no angst, no drama, something funny and cute, and so, even if I have tons of books I need to read, yesterday night I browsed the kindle ebooks and picked this one: a rabbit shifter mated with a dragon? Well, it had to be funny! And what promised, it delivered. But actually, considering I’m not new to a Stormy Glenn’s comedy, I have to say I noticed a huge improvement, while preserving her distinctive touch of cute bottom boys, this time Beauregard “Bunny” is not really over the top; he has his quirks, he likes shiny things, and yes, truth be told, he is maybe a little bit naïve, he doesn’t really question life or events, but he is cute, and sweet, and that is his strength and the reason why he really conquers Sebastian, without really trying.
A point I notice about this Midnight Matings “universe”, and considering this is the only book I read, I’m not sure if it’s only this book or the whole series, is that there is no “gender”, meaning that, Beauregard or Sebastian aren’t gay, straight, bisexual or else, they simply do not consider gender at all, so much that, when newborns are in the story, not one questions if they are boys or girls, they are simply babies, to be cherished and loved.

Wow... I actually liked this. That was unexpected. I'm really not a fan of shifters (but I just couldn't resist a bunny). Also not a huge fan of insta-matings. And I don't really like it when the characters hook up immediately. And yet... I liked this. Probably because Beauregard was so awesome. He was this adorable little white bunny shifter, but when he stood up for himself he was pretty fierce and totally wonderful.
There were lots of things that bothered me about this though. It needed better proofreading, there were several sentences where the wrong word was used, for example "diner" instead of "dinner" and "through" instead of "threw." Also I thought the beginning was pretty boring. I couldn't see where the conflict was going to come from, and Beauregard and Sebastian were just being cute and having sex all the time, so I didn't have much motivation to keep reading. It got much better around 60% of the way through, when the conflict finally emerged. -
(Note added 5/28/2016): This might just be my go-to book whenever I'm feeling sad, or just need to laugh and enjoy the sweetest guy EVER. Beauregard is adorable, and I fell in love with him the first time I read this book over 3 years ago. By now I think I've reread this at least 10-15 times. Yes, my friends, I consider it to be that fabulous!
I loved it that Sebastian finally got his head out of his ass. If he hadn't, then he wouldn't have been good enough for my favorite bunny shifter.

Parts are rather amusing, but I'm starting to find that all published mpreg/alpha and omega type stuff is far outdone by fanfiction (which is free), in terms of scope, breadth and emotion, so back to a fanfiction I go. Still, I liked the idea of different species of shifters well enough, and that they could mate together. Honestly though, is anyone straight in this world? I mean I don't care that there are no straight people and maybe the number of men and lack of straightness is explained in the first book...but yeah...

He hovered over the top of Beauregard, his arms resting on each side of Beauregard’s head. “I am a dragon, little bunny, and I am not a cliché in any form of the word. I’m big and bad and mean. I can break you in two without breaking a sweat. Piss me off and I’ll singe every bit of fur from your body.”

This was a fun and emotional book. Probably the best Stormy Glenn book I’ve read.
I love big vs small shifter romances. It usually results in a tiny energized man that bounces around and makes the big grumpy man smile, and this book was exactly that.
Everything in this book was very sweet and loving, until it wasn’t anymore. I usually hate misunderstandings... they piss me off, but I’m also not sure I would consider what happened a misunderstanding rather than Sebastian just being a dick and not wanting to listen. I also feel that more crow consumption was needed on his end but all around I loved the book. -
First: The good thing is that I came around to finish this book.
There are books in my collection (not many, but still) I wasn't able to do so.
But: That's it. The summary sounded promising and kinda sweet. So I was looking forward to the romantic story of a dragon and a bunny falling in love.
It started out ok, but then it turned into a mess. I had to laugh several times because I really didn't know why I was reading such an accumulation of nonsense.
The male pregnant rabbit topped it then for me, Sebastion was ok, Beauregard was a bit too much, first I thought him as cute and funny but at the end I was so annoyed by him.
I liked Galan and Harlan way better then the MCs, they should have had the starring roles because they came across more smart, funny and cool.
1,5 stares, I only clicked 2 because there've been a few sweet scenes in the book. -

What happens when the elders declare that all paranormals have to mate with the next 24 hours or face dire consequences?
Hilarity and heartbreak, that's what.
Beauregard Stratford is a rabbit shifter, and an odd one at that. Sebastian Drakus is the prince of the dragon clan. But inside that tough dragon hide is a gentle heart, and his impulsive rescue of Beauregard during the mating frenzy at the paranormal...um...conference?...has consequences of its own.
I know, this is a madcap book, with the familiar romance trope of intermixing paranormals taken to a goofball extreme. Stormy Glenn has made this giddy romantic style her own, and I must say, I rather enjoyed the ride. -

A white bunny shifter was taken as a mate by Sebastian, a dragon shifter prince. The elders of the paranormal have decided to help the races not to fight and spiked their drink to help them mate outside their species.
So this might not have been the best story ever writen BUT it had a forced maiting and Mpreg!!!!Öhm, jup I'm shallow like that and give it stars for hitting two of my favorite themes, rare enough encounter and two in one is just great.
A lot of angst, mostly steming of an misunderstanding but just think about crossing a bunny with a dragon! ;)
