Portchester Castle (English Heritage Guidebooks) Reviews
-
The guide provides a nice tour of the castle and then just after halfway through the guide it then provides the history. When we visited the castle we did the audio guide and I read the guide back at home.
If you go to the castle make sure you go right to the top of the Keep for wonderful views of Portsmouth harbour. -
Well presented and clear guide book with numerous good diagrams and photographs. A handsome book and useful for anyone planning to visit the castle and a good souvenir. The guidebook also gives a good amount of information about several monarchs who used the castle and the period the keep was used as a prison.
