But Hunter and she have never gotten along. Hunter is ex-military, rigid, and condescending. He never seemed to feel Raina was good enough for his brother despite the fact that she busted her butt for her masters degree and was making something of her life. Raina can't understand why Hunter would now be the one to support her and even ask to be named as the baby's father.
Hunter doesn't care how long Raina fights him. He will be there for her and the baby. He knows he made the wrong choices before his brother passed allowing Raina to see only a cold exterior. The truth is from the moment he laid eyes on her, he was lost. He has to win her heart or lose the woman he's been hopelessly devoted to for years. The challenge is not managing Raina but loving her. If he can find the balance, just maybe she'll run into his arms where she belongs.

While this book was cute in some ways, it was completely unbelievable (15 orgasms...12 consecutive and uninterrupted... in one night? Really??). The pacing was way too fast and the characters were not very honorable. Furthermore while Hunter was ok, Raina was not very likeable. This story could have worked if the characters had been fleshed out more, if the timeline was slowed down and spread out and if the heroine had a lick of sense. The 'angry black woman' routine is tired. I like my female characters sassy AND smart, not bipolar. Some morals would be nice too. There were also typos galore, missing words, extra words. Who proofread this??
Speaking of morals, my main problem was....
SPOILERS! SPOILERS!! DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE STORY!

How fast they hopped into bed. Even the initial scene when Raina realizes that Hunter is attracted to her was just inappropriate. He tells her his brother has just died and pulls her onto his lap to comfort her?? Good old fashioned hugs don't work anymore?? Mind you, at this point in the story, she thinks he hates her yet she allows him to, while thinking about how hot he is. Whether or not she and Kyle were having problems, Raina had just found out he was dead. Plus, she was pregnant with his unborn child! Ok, so she goes home and days later (a week maybe?) Hunter comes by to check on her. They share a passionate kiss and she's practically dry humping his erection through his pants. Classy. Three weeks later he comes by for dinner and they end up having UNPROTECTED SEX, because it's perfectly normal for a woman to hop into bed with her unborn child's uncle weeks after the child's father has passed, WITHOUT TELLING SAID UNCLE THAT SHE'S PREGNANT! Luckily for her, he brings her to orgasm 15 times in one night. *Rolls eyes*. I've read tons of IR books, tons of erotica, menages, paranormal...you name it, I've read it..so sex for sex's sake is not an issue for me, but this situation didn't flatter the female character. She came off as confused and skanky.
So now, they've had sex. She suddenly wants to grow a backbone and start picking fights, only to give in 2 pages later anyway. Attitude for no reason is not sexy! I understood some of her concerns and the background story with her parents did shed some light into some of her decisions, but I hate when authors have female characters act like they're strong only to turn around and make stupid decisions and do whatever the man wants anyway. Why waste readers' time?
Ultimately, readers will get their happily ever after and the ending was sweet but the journey there is so not worth the price -
Once again, another female lead that worked my last good nerve, I am starting to think it's me and not the characters **eye roll**. Raina was in a "relationship" with Hunter's brother Kyle, Kyle was a total d**k, but Raina tolerated him. A tragedy takes place and we find Raina and Hunter, who've never seen eye to eye, leaning on one another and fighting an attraction that has been stewing for years. Raina gets some more news and has to deal with that shock, and Hunter the Marine, starts trying to press his case by being apart of Raina's life whether she wants him to or not. There was a part in this book that almost made me chunk my Nook out the nearest window, but I controlled my urge and pushed ahead. The book is ok, and it's the 2nd I've read by the author, but I might have to give her a rest because some of the situations her characters find themselves in and the stuff they say and do is just not what a grown woman should be saying or doing. Read if you want, its short enough.

I really enjoyed this story!

2.50 Stars. I had hoped my distain of love triangles involving siblings would be changed or lessened by this rendition on that theme. Raina, the heroine, has always been a responsible, dependable , self-motivated person who had been forced by her parents to take care of and look out for her sisters; but despite all that and with no aide from her family, she was able to earn her masters degree. The author then transforms this independent person into a needy one who enters into a relationship with Kyle who is an underachieving, unfaithful, domineering and verbally abusive cad. Why? Raine wants someone to take charge, someone to tell her what, when and how to do things. In the course of her relationship with Kyle, she meets and surpresses an attraction for his brother Hunter; likewise; Hunter is attracted to her and does not like the way she allows herself to be misused by Kyle; so, Raina and Hunter take an adversarial posture with each other. Raina looses her job but gets hired at Hunter's Company. Raina discovers she is pregnant and Kyle insists that she abort the pregnancy, but before they can settle the issue, Kyle is killed in an auto accident. The gloves come off, and Raina and Hunter say yes to their three-year-old suppression of want for each other. HEA as a married couple with children.

Everything reviewer Nile Princes said back in 2011.

Good Read. I enjoyed the storyline.

Raina discovered she was pregnant and went to her boyfriend's house to meet his gorgeous and sexy older brother Hunter and told her that Kyle was dead. She was pregnant without a husband, and she just lost her job. She didn't have any choice but accepted Hunter's job offer.
Hunter has been in love with Raina since the first time his brother introduced her. He was hopeless when it came to her. She was everything he wanted in a woman. And now that his brother's gone and Raina's pregnant with his niece/nephew. He wanted to be with her and the baby. All he needed to do was prove to her that his feelings ran much deeper than physical attraction.
The chemistry between Hunter and Raina shared flew off the pages. It was explosive and sizzling. I could really feel their attraction to one another, especially Hunter's. I really liked all the characters, especially Hunter. Not only was he very sexy and hot, but he was also gentle, kind, caring, and very good in bed. He had nothing but good intentions. He was a sap when it came to her. It was fun to watch how things between them played out when Raina was hell-bent on staying away from him, and Hunter didn't take no for an answer.
Tessie Lockwood also knows her way around a sex scene. Sensual and passionate. Damn hot!
Hopelessly Devoted To You was a great read. Totally not what I was expecting. But wow, it was a refreshing and pleasant read. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. -
This book was a fun read, but it needs some editing. Grammar and spelling errors are a distraction. The story has a sweet, but predictable plot and could have used a little more developed conflict, but it kept my interest. At times, Raina seemed a little whiny to me, but Hunter forced her to "man up" and face her fears. Hunter stole the show for me because he was hot, considerate and willing to step up to the plate and be a daddy. Overall this was a good, albeit short read.

fantastic read I feel ms tressie really took this story to the next level, this read is definitely movie materials and i only say that about one over author. I must say at first i though this book was going to be scandalous because the heroine and the second hero.again this read took by surprise I rarely enjoy read that involved family member sleeping with every main female.

This is Raina and Hunter's story. Hunter has to work very hard to get Raina to own up to her attraction for him and then he has to work even harder to get her to give them a chance at love. I really enjoyed the story!
