This book is a sequel to "SSS," the author's memoirs that recorded his service as an officer and Master of cargo and troopships during World War II. It is written in response to many questions asked by reader friends about the author's career after the war. With a brief reference to his wartime experiences, for the purpose of providing some continuity for those who might not have read "SSS," the author now describes his return to peacetime activities and his adventuresome career in South America, West Africa, Europe and the USA as he climbed the corporate ladder from the bridge of a ship to the presidency of Delta Steamship Lines. The book also mentions some interesting experiences of the author during his twenty-year tenure as head of one of America's most progressive and successful steamship lines. A native of Mobile, AL, the author is a graduate of the U. S. Merchant Marine Cadet Corp, Class of 1940, and attended Tulane University. He is a Master Mariner, of Unlimited Tonnage, on Any Oceans. In addition to his steamship line career, he also served as a Director of the Panama Canal Commission, and as a National Vice Chairman of the Council of the Americas. He and his wife, Sandra, reside in Pass Christian, MS.
