Create a successful business and never feel like the worst parent in the world ever again.

Most parents don’t want to build a global empire or make a gazillion dollars a year. They just want to earn a decent income and have time to read their kids a bedtime story without having a meltdown in the process.

Yes, we know running a business can be rewarding. However, it can also seep into every life crack, eat up your energy and leave you exhausted, stressed and snapping at your small humans.

In Six Figures in School Hours, award-winning digital marketing coach and business mentor Kate Toon shares practical and doable tips for parents to run a successful business, make serious money and not burn themselves to a frazzle in the process.

First, you will examine your business goals and measure your ‘why’ against your desires for family life; then, discover passive income ideas and ways to involve the family in your business life in an enjoyable way; finally, find out how to turn that six-figure profit dial up or down depending on the compromises you’re willing to make.

Throughout the book are tools and tactics to manage your money, be more productive and focus on what matters, along with inspiring stories from other successful business parents who know exactly how it feels.

Six Figures in School Hours is a smart, honest business self-help book that gives you the skills, the tools and the confidence to never again need to choose between a successful business and a happy family life.

If you're someone who juggles life as both business owner and parent - constantly seeking that balance between making ALL the money while ALWAYS being there for your family - this book is for you.

Filled with Kate Toon's awesome humour (which is very consistent with her real life bubbly personality FYI) and tips, 6FISH will leave you nodding your head in agreement, wiping tears away after feeling understood, and taking deep breaths at the realisation that you don't need to be perfect at everything. And definitely don't need to be perfect at it right now. "The world will wait."

A very easy read with plenty of quotes from fellow business parents who 'get it' and activities listed at the end of each chapter for those eager to make changes. (I need to go back and look at those again...)

I'll be recommending this book to everyone on the same or similar path as me.

    Thanks Kate!

This is not your ordinary business book. Nor is it your average parenting book.
This isn’t fluffy 10-steps to change your life by some so-called expert who knows nothing about their subject.
Kate Toon presents practical and honest tips about running a business and being a parent. She shares generously about her own challenges and the lessons she’s learned as a parent and successful business owner.
And here’s the thing, she knows what she’s talking about. I’m one of the many hundreds of business owners that has benefited from Kate’s support, advice and encouragement. Without her, I would have given up long ago.
Whether you’ve been in business for years or you’re just starting out, Six Figures in School Hours that will make you think, help you take action and give you a laugh along the way. After all, Kate is a writer, and is fair to say that she has some of the funniest expressions I’ve come across.
It you’re tired of stumbling under the weight of parenting and being a business owner, Six Figures in School Hours is definitely for you.

I loved this book! I love Kate's humour, perspective, experience, and writing style. This is the perfect read for any parents in business and I particularly appreciated that she doesn't just favour moms in business, but discusses dads too. Kate articulates exactly what my postpartum brain cannot put into words, and offers practical advice and refreshing transparency mixed with comedy.

As someone in the thick of things with two young kids, it’s really nice to hear from a mother in business who’s made it through to the other side. It gives me hope, motivation, and confidence that although tough, the path I’m on is the right one. This book is equal part practical, entertaining, and inspiring.

The best part? I was able to devour it in one day which is perfect because I unfortunately don't have much free time to read. I would highly recommend this book to any parents in business.

This book is fantastic! It's well-written and expertly structured. It's an easy and relatable read, especially for those of us balancing business life with parenthood. The author, Kate, truly understands our struggles because she's been through them herself. It's a must-read that you won't be able to put down. Highly recommended!

6 Figures in School Hours is the practical, no-nonsense guide to building a successful business while raising your family. It’s filled with advice from someone who has done it themselves and tips you can easily integrate into your business and parenting model, all delivered with Kate Toon’s unique sense of humour.

This is the book I wish I had 10 years ago when I embarked on my own business journey. However, her advice is relevant and helpful whether you’ve been in business for 10 years or 10 minutes. My tip is to buy the audiobook and the physical book. That way you can listen to Kate’s helpful advice while driving the kids or walking the dog (because we’re all still juggling things, right?), and then go to the physical book to revisit the things that resonated with you.

5 shiny gold stars and a million thankyous Kate, for writing such a realistic, practical and down-to-earth book that everyone can relate to.

Running a business while also raising a family is not for the faint-hearted. From personal experience, it’s all too easy to end up feeling stressed, burnt-out and like the worst parent in the world while working all the hours yet only just keeping your head above water financially. This fabulous book by entrepreneur, business coach, SEO expert and mum, Kate Toon, is a down-to-earth exploration of the challenges involved in juggling business and family. Practical, thoughtful, reassuring, easy to read and funny, SIx FIgures in School Hours is the book I really, really wish I’d had when my children - and my business - were small. If you own a small business or if you’re thinking of starting one and you have (or plan to have) children, I highly recommend it.

Business books can be dry and boring, and claims that starting your own business is the way to work less and earn more.....well....not always the case.

In Six Figures in School Hours Kate Toon breaks down the reality of creating your own business - the hard work, plus the opportunities - and how to do it without sacrificing your family and your sanity.

There are loads of practical tips as well as a sense that it can be done when you're realistic, and willing to do what it takes.

It's an easy read filled with Kate's humour that makes it all seem really do-able.

Six figures in School Hours helped me feel seen! As a business owner and as a parent and as a human. It validates so much of my journey thus far and I know it’s going to help me achieve more success in future on the business and life front.

Kate Toon’s delightful gift of storytelling and use of analogy make this an easy and helpful read. Exactly what we need as business owning parents.

I know this is going to be a tool in business and life that I use over and over again. Thank you Kate!

This book is amazing, incredible, funny and so relevant. It's rare to have a book where you so often find yourself stopping and looking around guiltily because you know you are doing all the damn things she calls you out on. You know it's true dammit and Kate's gonna call it out - but with love...kinda. Humour - definitely.
This book made me actively snort-laugh and it also stopped me in my tracks. As Kate is known for, it's a loving smack on the bum.
    HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This entertaining and un-put-downable book is full of practical, down-to-earth and actionable advice to help parents struggling to keep all their parenting and business plates spinning. A great follow-up to 'The Confessions of a Misfit Entrepreneur'. I can't wait to read Kate's next book.
