A Dark College Enemies-to-Lovers
Ruthless Obsession took my emotions on a roller coaster ride. This dark enemies to lovers’ book had it all going on. in all the right places
Don't forget to read the trigger warnings at the beginning of this book, cu you might just thank me for it later

This story starts off with you thinking that it was going to be College drama…. Yeah, it might have started off like that but holy hell The author drew me in with each turn of the page.
I honestly, I don’t know if I’m reading this Series in order….. and I really don’t care ……each book It’s pretty much is a standalone read So far.

Teagan had received anonymous invitation from the Black Widow Secret Society club…
Very little was known about this secretive elite club. So, as you might imagine Teagan was Debating with herself. If she should Go or not to the assigned time and date. But with all that is going on in Teagan’s life that she is keeping to herself, so she isn't a burden on anyone. When she finds herself in a hard spot the Black Widow reaches out to her to help solve her problems…she decided to put all her fears aside and just go.
Let’s just say there was a time in this book that I felt like I was reading a manuscript to a dark Mystery movie……. Come on Teagan came face to face, or let me Correct myself…… A huge man dressed in all black and white collar stood before her. To make matters more intriguing. The man was wearing some kind of a mask, and his voice was distorted.

J.A. Owenby, the angsty, dark romance queen herself, created a beautifully, dark, angsty, smutty, slightly heartbreaking story that keeps you on your toes the whole time.... Don't worry it does end in a HEA.

Can anyone say book hang over?
This book is epically good, so good in fact I'm at a loss as to what I should read next...
The story of this book is utterly fascinating, the darkness is beautifully woven throughout, the heat is amped up with amazingly thorough and thought out intimate scenes and the characters feel so real.
It's been a while since I shouted angrily at the kindle, let alone had to walk away from the thing to cool down...yet somehow this got me to do both. Then you add in the laughs, the near tears and the hotness this book provides and just wow
As well as the fascinating main characters, the supporting ones pull you in and have you asking more questions too.
This book is magical... It's so twisted yet it's exactly right and the story is powerful. Please please please read the trigger warnings provided however, as I always say they are there for a reason. If like me you have no triggers then proceed with all your comforts available you will not want to step away from this... -
OMG THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING! I hope you're ready to feel all the feels because the author won't spare you from any of them. I hated him, I felt sorry for him, I loved him. And Teagan just makes you want to either hold her or cheer her on at every turn. The spice is off the charts hot hot hot! Hold on tight cuz you don't want to miss this ride. This book will push every boundary you have and even some you don't know about yet. You may think you've read this trope, but I promise you haven't read it like this before! This book is unique, even within it's own trope.

This was amazing. The steam, passion, dark and twisted things that were done. The black widow has to be one of my favorite men from this author’s list of sexy men. This was amazing in every way, passion, lust, drama and secrets ran amuck and kept you holding on to see what happens. You never knew what was going to happen next and I just love that.

J.A. Owenby is a new to me author and OMFG did she do a number on my sanity and my heart with this book. What a rollercoaster ride both mentally and emotionally.
This is Teagan’s story and I would highly recommend checking those TW. Teagan usually stays to herself and avoids everything to keep from burdening anyone. He calls himself the Black Widow and he’s out for revenge, to torment and humiliate her for what she did to his family. So he sends her an invite to meet with a secret society and when she accepts it turns her world upside down and every other way but it also flips his with just one touch. It was supposed to be a game but it became so much more than that.
This book is OTT hot and intense. These two will leave you panting and twist your emotions in knots. This book was utter perfection and yet it will push your boundaries in every way possible. It is dark, it is twisted, it is sexy, and it is phenomenal. You will be epically surprised when The Black Widow is revealed, and you will be kept guessing until the very end. The mystery of it all is definitely one of the things that keeps you obsessed and on the edge. I love it. Especially their HEA at the end. I highly recommend this book!! Am really looking forward to reading the other standalone in this series and the new ones she writes for us. -
As soon as I found out hero is open to sharing her even though she is okay with it it was a no go for me. I only like an extremely possessive H.

You have got to read this! What the ever-loving-hell did I just read? This book is way more than I thought it was going to be. Talk about being surprised. My emotions were so strong at times that I almost threw my book across the room! A couple of screams, some tears, some WTF moments … This book had it all. I was taken on one hell of a ride that had my heart racing to keep up with how fast I was turning the pages. Just when I thought I knew where the story was going…BAM!! A twist was thrown in that I didn't see coming. I had to backtrack to make sure I read it right the first time. I even doubted my own eyes a few times. Could I really have read that? No way! I went back and read a couple of parts again to make sure I did read it right! Mystery, intrigue, sub-plots - this book has it all. The characters are so full of angst, emotionally damaged but also capable of redemption. You won’t regret picking up this enemies-to-lovers, wounded hero with a tragic past HEA. Please, read the Trigger Warnings!! They are there for a reason.
Teagan Mercer receives a mysterious black envelope from the Black Widow with an invite she dare not refuse, unless she wants to pay the ultimate price and she truly can’t afford that. Should she show up and see what happens or refuse and face the consequences? The Black Widow has the power to make or break her and Teagan is definitely strong enough to face whomever sent her that envelope. Out of curiosity, she goes to the appointed place at the time she is told and finds herself in a rather precarious situation. A darkened room with a masked person. What ensues is not what she expected. Everything hinges on this encounter. The person who is thrust into her life thanks to this incident is going to have a profound influence on her future. But, beware the unknown for it just may come back to bite you on the butt later on down the road.
This look into the darkness that people are willing to embrace was absolutely phenomenal. I absolutely can’t wait for the next book from this author to see where she will take me next. -

That Title fits this book oh so perfectly. I won't give away much as to what the book is about but this one is a definite dark romance for the way it will test your boundaries.
This is a straight tale of something sweet that starts from hardcore revenge and humiliation. It's a brilliantly written Enemies-to-lovers taken to the edge when the H is hell bent on destroying our H yet gets insanely tangled up in his own web.
I'm used to my heroes somehow making it up to me and me falling for them atleast by the end of the book but Hunter, he's a guy I'm not sure is everyone's cup of tea but is sure as heck the perfect flavour for Teagan.
So beware this one has some heavy triggers and there's definitely No Cheating involved but my my , Do things turns mighty Steamy and Dirty for sure.
I WAS LIKE CONTINOUSLY 🥵🥵🥵 for the Spicy and Kinkiness that's loaded in this one. Both H and h heat up things to an insane level and I mean 🔥🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️.
This one definitely took me out of my comfort zone. A story that's Dark and outright Filthy with flavours of revenge and secrets interspersed yet taking you ultimately on a healing and love fulfilled journey. 💗💗💗

This is the second book in this amazing series, and “The Black Widow” who is dark, dangerous, masked, and mysterious, and is focused on dishing out revenge against Teagan for destroying a family. This is a well written story which has a secret society, combustible chemistry, and is dark, raw, gritty, and intense, with vengeance, bullying, angst, heartbreak, witty banter, and is a twisted, steamy, thrilling, and powerful page turner.
Be aware of the trigger warning due to sensitive content!
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend. -
J.A. Owenby knows how to write an intense page turner. Hunter plays college football and has a lot of demons. Teagan has a few of them herself. Together they are combustible….in the best possible way. This story was emotional, intense and dark. The family drama is at top level with this group of kids. The dysfunction is high and the love is strong. I mostly enjoy the characters in JA’s books. They are strong, independent and a bit dysfunctional. The page turning drama is what keeps me coming back for more. I’m already looking forward to reading the next book!

Teagan receives an anonymous letter from “the society” which is a secret group that not many people get to experience. she doesn’t know what to expect and how the person who calls himself the Black Widow knows so much about her, but she’s intrigued and not in a position to say no.
Discovering who The Black Widow was and the secrets that he harbored had me on the edge of my seat. this whole book was action packed & super steamy!
the story reeled me in right away and I loved getting to know Teagan and The BW.
what was once meant to be revenge quickly turns into something much more and I loved every second of it.

Wow! Talk about a roller coaster ride. I was sucked in right from the very first page. I wasn’t sure where the story was headed but I couldn’t put down the book until I found out. I immediately needed to know more about the Black Widow..and I had so many questions. Teagan finds herself in a rough spot and doesn’t know what to do or if she wants to say anything.. and then she gets an invitation from the Black Widow..will one meeting be enough? This book had me on the edge of my seat and I gasped when twists I did not see coming happened. Will Teagan find out who the Black Widow is? Once again, J.A. Owenby has blown me away with her writing. So dark, spicy, twisted and SO GOOD. If enemies to lovers and dark romance is your thing. You’ll definitely want to read this book. This book is dark and deals with some heavy things, so as always please check your trigger warnings.

I think it was going good until the truth came out. Somehow it was too fast - the trust and laying claim.
MC literally spends years building up this revenge just to tell the truth and then all of a sudden he believes her story IMMEDIATELY about the forest and trusts her?
And the FMC, after the truth comes out IMMEDIATELY falls head over heels for him and trusts him despite everything that he has done to her?
No. There should have been some buildup of trust. I understand that I could be talking too soon because it's only halfway through the book, but I can't get past the cringe. -
