The Spinetinglers Anthology 2011 Reviews
-
This horror-themed anthology was surprisingly complex and fun to read with many different stories pertaining to all kinds of personal fears. From voodoo dolls and black magic to spiders and my favourite - Cinder Cats - each tale was very entertaining. It was enjoyable to read short stories for a change, and having 26 put together under one cover—well what more can a reader ask for?
For the amusement value alone, I can easily give this book 5 stars. -
It varies between humor, straight horror, and weird fiction, but it's surprisingly good and has some great stories. My favorites were The Vampyre, about how John Polidori found the story for his novel, Chicken in Black, that shows how biohazard containers and chickens don't mix well, and The Girl in the Mist, a classic ghost story. There's a lot of quality short fiction in this anthology though, and at the price it's a steal.

Good summer reading fun. Some typos, but good ideas.

This is an anthology of horror short stories. Most were pretty good, but a few were so-so. Well edited. All the contributing authors did a good job, it's just that few were a bit weird. Some were fairly humorous. All in all, a good book.
