A Bíblia da Mulher: leitura, devocional, estudo Reviews

A great devotional that really helped set the tone of my day as I read it every morning.

As a woman, I know how difficult it is to find time to spend with the Lord. There are always so many demands on our day and our time that if we aren't careful a whole day, or days, can get by us without much thought to what God has for us.

This devotional is beautiful both inside and out. The purple soft leather cover is appealing and makes it easy to open and hold. There's a bookmark ribbon to mark your spot with as you read along. The days are numbered with ordinal numbers 1-366. I guess that was a bit off kilter for me, as I was expecting it to be in date form - for instance Jan 1- Dec 31. But I think it was just me. When I received my devotional I wanted to begin reading on November 20, for instance, so I was trying to figure out how many days from 366 I needed to subtract to get there. I know... I am weird that way. But a friend of mine said she liked it like that, cause she could start on Day 1 and go from there no matter what day of the year it was. She is brilliant! I was like... DUH!!! So, that will probably make total sense to you.

The one thing I really liked about this devotional is that not only does it include a verse at the beginning of the daily read, but it also includes a Scripture passage to read. So many devotionals lack that aspect. You read one verse, then the devotional (which by the way is man's words, not Gods) and then a short prayer and your done. A verse a day is good, but quality time in God's Word and getting the context of what the devotional is speaking about also helps. So I love this!! I also like the yearly reading plan in the back of the devotional that helps you read through your Bible in a year. And yes, you can start it any day of the year. You don't have to wait til Jan. 1.

This devotional takes small passages beginning in Genesis and goes all the way through Revelation. So you get to go through the whole Bible in a year. These Scriptures and readings are to help encourage women in their walk with God. One I read this week was "Does my behavior as a guest cause my hostess to grumble?". Wow! Have you ever grumbled a bit when someone left your home? How do people feel about you when they invite you over. There is so much good food for thought in this devotional. I would highly recommend it for yourself or as a gift. Growing in the Lord is a lifetime process.

I was blessed with this devotional from Lifeway and B&H Blogger Group in exchange for my honest opinion.

Every year I try to faithfully find a great devotional that I can read in just a few minutes that helps set my tone for the day. I believe it is what creates a foundation for how our day might play out. I found an exceptional one that might just be the perfect gift to give this Christmas to a special woman in your life. The Devotional for Women by Rhonda Harrington Kelley and Dorothy Kelley Patterson is just the right size to tuck in your purse, (measures 7.5 by 5 by 1) for some much needed faithful inspiration designed just for women in a purple leather book! It is designed to equip you to faithfully read God's Word daily and comes with 366 daily Bible devotions for women of all ages.

It really is friendly, and offers a quick-read format with a strong emphasis on what God has to say to women from Genesis to Revelation. It even includes a Bible Reading Plan and really places emphasis on biblical applications. What I really love besides the purple leather cover is that each of this daily devotions tries to focus on a woman from the Bible beginning from Genesis all the way to Revelation. Far too often we might not think women made much of an impact from the Bible, but as this devotional points out, there are more women than you might realize. They don't need an entire book of the Bible written about them to be important but even the smaller roles women played like servants, helpers, midwives and others show us how much value a women offers in the sight of God.

It profiles both named and unnamed women of the Bible and each day's message includes application and encouragement for you as the Lord writes His truths on your heart, molding you into His image, and using you as a conduit for glorifying Him in every aspect of your life. The single and married women who have written these daily commentaries come from different seasons of life and various geographical areas and several generational groups from a mother, a daughter and pairs of granddaughters in one family' several mother-daughter duos; a mother in love and daughter in love. There are teens in high school, college, and seminary students, young mothers and grandmothers. All are committed to women-to-women ministries.

The Devotional for Women has a reading for every day but it is undated. You can pick it up and begin your spiritual journey any day of the year. Each devotional stands alone. You can read the extended passage, or you can simply read the focus verse(s), printed for you as the devotional unfolds. Use the guide prayer pattern to approach the throne room of grace with your own petition and praise. Make your personal notes in the space for "Personal Reflection" as reminders of what God has been doing in your life. This is truly a remarkable devotional and one I am honored to share with you.

I received The Devotional for Women by Rhonda Harrington Kelley and Dorothy Kelley Patterson compliments of B and H Publishers for my honest review. I did not receive any monetary compensation, aside from a free copy of this devotional, in exchange for my honest and personal review. What I love about this devotional is that it is not dated, so you don't have to feel like you've fallen behind if you buy this at any time. You simply pick it up and begin. I also love the Personal Reflection section so that I can note prayer requests or answers to prayer in the space provided to see how God is working in my life through my spiritual journey of faith. For me, this one is well worth all 5 out of 5 stars and would make an exceptional gift to a special woman in your life.

If you are looking for a good devotional, this is it. A 366 day devotional that isn't dated, so you can begin your readings as soon as you receive your copy. It makes it a lot easier than ones that are dated; as you can read and reread them over and over again. I am sure that you willB&H Publishing group with this devotional.

Each day you will open up to a verse, and a devotional, and then followed by a prayer and space for your personal reflection on what you have read. When this book arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It has a beautiful, purple, leather touch cover which is very soft. It is a nice size ( 7.5 x 5 x 1 ). This is a book that has 366 daily devotions for women that is prepared directly from the text scripture.

As you open the book you will come to a table of contents:

    Introduction

    A Pattern of Quiet Time

    The Christian Life

    Devotions (1-366)

    Contributors

    Acknowledgements

    Daily Bible Reading Plan.

In a Pattern of Quiet Time we are reminded that regardless of where you are in your faith that it is up to you to initiate communication with God. This is your relationship and therefore it's up to you to build it.

Each devotion starts with a scripture, focus verse, a devotion, prayer and lastly an area to write a personal reflection.

In the back of the book there's a daily reading plan check off list.

Okay, I truly loved this book. Yes, the cover is very soft and I loved the color. When I opened the book I was very pleased with how organized and compact it is. This is a study that starts in Genesis and ends in Revelations so it essentially guides you through out the Bible. It offers relevant discussions on various topics. This devotional is designed to where you can pick it up at any time and start. I have previously picked up books where the start day is Jan. 1 and it's very hard to start mid year. So that's a big selling point for me, plus as we all know there are days when you may miss reading. Each devotion starts with a scripture and a focus verse whee you can explore more deeply if your would like.

This is a wonderful book that I would recommend to anyone at a resource for yourself or a gift for someone else. I have picked one up for my college aged daughter for Christmas.

You know those divine moments in life when you’re studying scripture or reading a devotional and it was like it came to be just for you, right then and there at that moment in history? Y’all I’m not even being dramatic when I say this is true with this devotional. I got it in the mail to review and decided to read one right quick, so I flipped through and randomly stopped at Day 284. Again, not kidding when I say the scripture the devo led with and the story told were things I needed to hear. I had been praying for specific things and this was not only an answer but a great encouragement for two situations in my life.

So yeah, one devotional in and I became an instant fan.

I really like this little devotional. It’s full of God’s truth, encouragement and His word. All the things you want in a devotional. I also was a huge fan of the extra space for personal reflection and prayer, as well as the biblical exposition in each entry. Plus it uses passages from Genesis through Revelation, so you get encouraged from each part of the bible.

On an aesthetics note – I love the size and leather purple cover. It’s not massive, but not to small that I can’t read it. I also liked that each day was numbered and not a date on the calendar. It’s one of those little things that won’t make me feel too terrible when I go through a patch of missing a day or two (or week) of devotional reading.

In total random questions of the day, what’s one of your favorite books in the Bible?

(Thank you to B&H Publishing for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review)

This devotional is so beautiful on both the inside and the outside! I really liked the feel of the book’s soft cover. Of course, the most important part of a devotional is the content and how it will help a person in their walk with God. I think that this pretty, little devotional does a good job with that, too.

I really like that this devotional is not ordered by date, but is simply numbered Day 1 through Day 366. Each devotion starts with a verse or verses, then has a discussion. A prayer suggestion follows the discussion paragraphs, and finally there is a space to write your own thoughts.

These are fairly short and quick devotions. I have actually come back to the book multiple times during the day during this past week to enjoy another short devotion and keep my mind focused on God. I completed the devotionals from Day 1 through Day 21, so I felt that I could accurately review this guide. I plan to continue using this devotional in my Bible study each day. The teachings are sound and I also enjoy that the devotionals are progressing in biblical order.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Não consigo entender por que a maioria das Bíblias para mulheres adultas são rosa ou lilás, porém a Bíblia em si é muito boa para estudo.
