I have long been a fan of Robyn's books and never before have I been disappointed. This time I was even more impressed. In Strictly Temporary we meet devilishly handsome Zack Harrison and the very unique Trinity Matthews.

The author very stunningly takes a abandoned baby and a snowstorm to bring Zack and Trinity together with such powerful sparks ! Add the author's truly unique manner of writing and you have one awesome read! I fell in love with every page and word, the author keeps your attention focused and unlike some other books that I have read by other authors Robyn Grady never overwrites a scene.

The pure passion and build up to something magical to come kept me glued to my seat and I was more than pleasantly surprises in the end. Not wanting to give more away here all I am going to say is go out and grab your copy this book is more than worth it. And if you have never read a Robyn Grady book before your missing out this author is brilliant and never disappoints !

In a nutshell, this book felt skeletal to me. The time frame is too rapidly telescoped, and the sense of character is limited to the point that pretty much every scene felt like a plot device or shorthand to explain a later event. It never felt authentic. The characters have no apparent life outside work. Yet we're expected to believe that after a few days' acquaintance and some sexy times they're going to drop everything, change their entire vision of their futures, to be together and .

It wasn't the worst-written romance I've ever read, but it certainly wasn't convincing.

Good book. When Zack found an abandoned baby in a cab, he didn't know what to do. When Trinity came to his rescue, they ended up at Zack's home, snowed in. Zack has a reputation as a ruthless businessman and a playboy. He does admit to being a committed bachelor with no interest in long term relationships. Trinity is a product of the foster care system and doesn't intend to go the family route either, as she would have no one as a backup in case something were to happen to her. When they are snowed in with the baby, they need to provide care for her while fighting their attraction. Zack isn't comfortable around babies, so he leaves the hand-on stuff to Trinity, at least at the beginning. It's not long before Trinity has him participating fully, though he still tries to remain emotionally distant. When the storm is over and the baby is back with her mother, both return to their lives in New York. Neither one can forget the other, and get together for one of Zack's family's parties. They are called back to Colorado to help the baby's mother, where she asks Trinity and Zack to adopt the baby to give her a better life. Zack panics and leaves, while Trinity and the baby's mother come to an arrangement that works for them. I loved seeing them cope with the baby during the storm, and seeing Zack get won over gave me warm fuzzies. I wanted to smack him for being so blindly stubborn, and enjoyed his conversations with his brother and father. I liked the way that Zack came through at the end.

STRICTLY TEMPORARY by author Robyn Grady is Harlequin Desire release for July 2012.

Billionaire Zack Harrison is thankful for Trinity Matthews help when they both find an abandoned baby in a cab. But he couldn’t ignore the sizzling chemistry between them!

Seeing Trinity with the baby, Zack has unknown and unwelcome cravings. Can he take the chance? It would mean changing his entire lifestyle and beliefs which he held so dear.

Trinity knew of Zack’s reputation, dare she give in to the temptation?
STRICTLY TEMPORARY is an astounding tale of finding an abandoned baby and then changing of entire lifestyles to accommodate her. It’s also a story of a Billionaire, who falls in love without knowing it! The chemistry between Trinity and Zack is out of this world scorching hot!

The sensuality between them sizzles. Author Robyn Grady has delivered a gorgeous hero and a sympathetic heroine with a tantalizing romance.

I did like the plot-line of this book, but the trouble is that the heroine, Trinity, really irritated me. I appreciate that Grady was trying to create a character that was wary of the world given her history, but what she's actually done is invent a character who is almost ridiculously judgmental in parts of the novel. Given that she's supposed to be a talented journalist, you'd think she'd take the magazine articles on the hero, Zack, that she judges him entirely on with a pinch of salt. The supporting characters and writing of this novel are great, but Trinity really did ruin it for me a bit given that I couldn't really root for her either individually, with Zack as a couple or with Bel as a mother-figure. I did appreciate the sweetness of Zack being completely flummoxed by having to look after a baby for the first time.
3 stars for the story and writing.

Wow, what a romantic, sweet, enjoyable read. I could not put it down and read it in one day.

Zach Harrison enters the back seat of a cab and discovers a baby.

Trinity Matthews enters the same cab from the other side and is taken aback by the man and the baby. Because of her childhood spent in the system, she refuses to leave the baby.

They are caught in a snowstorm at Zach's home and waiting for CPS to show. The snow continues to fall and the heat between the adults sizzle as they care for the child.

What happens when Child Protective Services arrives and takes the baby?

I love the story and how Zach and Trinity come together to help take care of her during a blizzard. Sparks fly but when everything clears will there be a Happily ever after. Good story and I will read others by this author.

Another great baby ( not the couple's baby) story.

  • Megan

    Bit of a boring story.

  • Twist

Well, this was exactly what I expected from a Harlequin Romance. Short, sweet, sexy and almost free of angst. Not bad.
