I thought I'd really like this, but nope. The writing was incredibly informal and inconsistent (style-wise). The stories had no moral, that I could figure out anyway. I don't know, just really was expecting something else. I told my kid I didn't really like it and she goes, "I know!, I told you!"... should've trusted her 8-year old opinion on it.

A wonderful collection of folktales. After my recent introduction into Grimm's Fairy Tales with it's violence and sexual tensions, this is a sweet collection quite suitable for young children.
