Why is Wes Bennett so perfect, and where can I find someone just like him? 🥺 It was so sweet to revisit them again in Wes & Liz's College Road Trip - Wes and Liz are that couple that no matter what they're up to, they bring a smile to my face. 🥰🥰 I loved that it was in dual POV - limited as these glimpses were, Liz is still head over heels in love - admitting it, is just another step to show it. 🩷🩷

Wes is just so sweet and charming and relaxed and confident, ugh - he really is too good to be true! 😭 It's in the little things that we get to see just how much he cares for her, just not too sure how to say it back. Because she is it for him - the girl who can turn him into a Taylor Swift fan - that moment, when he 'realized that Liz was a fucking Taylor Swift song'. They are the definition of 'enemies-to-lovers - it’s our trope', and they have my heart, simply for how well they embody it. 🥹🥹

As always, I LOVE the little movie quotes and song lyrics, Lynn Painter includes - it's such a brief short story of four parts, but she captured their next level of intimacy and fierce want. ❤️🔥❤️🔥 When Wes was one potent drug moving his sinful hands to the tunes when you move, I'm moved - I was a puddle of feels. 🫠🫠🫠 . Ms. Painter always successfully maintains that wonderful balance between playful yet flirty vibes, and that emotional tug towards the unforeseen future that lies ahead of them in their new step towards college. 🤌🏻🤌🏻 -

What is better than a story told from Wes and Liz’s perspective? We escort them on their road trip to college, where they rescue a cat from a cornland, do share-tattoos, express their deeper feelings, and reflect on the new chapter they’re about to start.
Sweet and, for me, very important for the series. The only thing I disliked was the length of the chapter. It keeps me wanting more of Liz and Wes. What is happening to me!? Never felt like this for a young adult series, and I regret profoundly starting it right now when part two comes next year! I can’t wait that long! Somebody call 911! -
