    This story is well-woven and fascinating.

    In general, it could use some edits:
    1) making grammar consistent (sentences ending "yada yada." one place then "yada yada". in others, etc.);
    2) removing unnecessary information (there is a multi-page section giving background about the Great Lakes that I skipped right over), and
    3) re-doing the cover.

    However, this is definitely a case of "don't judge a book by its cover." It's actually a kick-ass paranormal book despite the lackluster cover.

    Our heroine Andy sees a stunning sailboat on her local lake at sunset and immediately feels called to both the boat and sailing in general. At the same time, she also meets mysterious stranger Sam on the dock; likewise, she is immediately drawn to Sam.

    Sam encourages her sailing desire and eventually convinces her to buy a certain boat, the V-222. This boat has a nefarious history that soon comes to light.

    The story follows Andy's romantic relationship with Sam, and her friendships with Pete and Pauline; during the course of these relationships, the story demonstrates how things are not always as they initially seem and throws in several plot twists.

    I didn't find it scary...more fascinating. I like the supernatural element and found the characters very well developed. The story follows multiple points of view, but it was well-done and not confusing. More of a mystery with a little romance spliced in than strictly "romance" as it is marketed.

    Overall, great book!

    A bit of a genre bending book, with a mix of romance, mystery, occult, sailing/outdoors, who-done-it and general fiction rolled together.

    An interesting read that seems to change genre as you go along.
