4 Stars

Well.....this is certainly not one for the faint hearted, I am not faint hearted so I freaking had a ball!!!

First, it is erotica. It doesn't start off as such, you get warmed up nicely, with some girls celebrating graduation and meeting some fabulously decadent, rich, handsome Vampires...... although the girls all don't know they are Vampires!

Siobhan is the object of Blake's desire, having been told by a gypsy he would meet.....she has no clue what he is. Their path to romance is cut short the first time, before they even manage to get really down and dirty ;-) and she is totally innocent! He just left her.....

Ten years have past and he sees her again...after spending the night, which is Very Hot!!! Blake is pure hot tottie and Helen sure knows how to write a sex scene!

Si wakes the next morning and I go all giggly with her when she can't wait to tell her friends about the night before! I think I am getting the hots for Blake!

"I get it, I get what all the fuss is about sex now."

Turning over...Blake is awake and watching her! "Good morning Si, you're looking very pleased with yourself, I can't imagine why" He winked.....

Here we are almost ten years later and he hasn't aged in the slightest. She stared at his face, nope, she thought, not a day older, how strange."

When Blake tells Si what he is, oh I love this reaction, and his reasoning....and it makes perfect sense.

I shed a few tears during the Sunday dinner! After chuckling a few times, as the girls do make me laugh sometimes! Very witty. Si's outburst is........ooh! But Blake is a freaking dream! Oh..he melted me afterwards.

But, along with Vampires, come old enemies. Si, gets kidnapped and forced to be a sex slave.....

I am not going into detail. But !! !! !! !! ** !! ** !! **

Wow!! This is where the erotica part of the book really kicks into gear. She is captive in this part of the book. So if this is not your cup of tea, just be aware. But it isn't icky and she does enjoy herself. Jarryd is a dream!

Blake is at a loss to protect her, she is far away thinking she is all alone at the mercy of her captors, but is their help for her? Will Blake come to her rescue ?

Oh, I love this Vampire world Helen has created it, it is full of fabulous characters, Si, is a little immature sometimes, but I think it is her 'innocence'. There could be less sex in it for me, there was too much in the last half. But that is my opinion.

I freaking love Jarryd!!

There is a cliffhanger...sort of, wait for the next installment, sort of thing... nothing too awful!

Scenes of group sex, m/f/m f/f BDSM.

I am looking forward to reading the next in the series, there isn't a dull moment in this book. Drama, romance, erotic sex scenes, and I have found two Vampires to drool over :-)

I loved this book, warning though, it is very explicit, hot, sexy and passionate!!!

Siobhan has just finished her exams and goes on a break with friends. She meets the mysterious sexy, hot Blake and falls fast for him, but one day he's gone, vanished into thin air leaving her broken. Ten years pass and they meet again at a club. Blake reveals he is a vampire, a powerful Elder and he wants Siobhan to be at his side as his queen. She tries to fight it but her feelings for him are strong, she can't resist him and they are together again. Things settle down for a while at least till Siobhan is kidnapped by Blakes enemies to be used as a sex slave. The race is on to find Siobhan before she disappears into the life of a sex slave for ever, this part of the book is very raunchy and explicit.
Siobhan is clinging on to her love for Blake to survive the situation shes in and praying he rescues her before its too late.
Jarryd is there to try and help her, ending up getting attached to her. He is hot, they are all hot in this book.
Helen certainly knows her way round a sex scene, it's full of twists and turns, it's dark, raunchy, sexy and i loved it.
The characters you are introduced to, I loved them all! Hot vampires, hot sex, on the edge of your seat action, this book has it all. You're pulled into their world, page after page, what a brilliant book.
It does have a cliffhanger but the other books in the series are out so you can pick up where you left off straight away.
I'd give this book 10 stars, I loved it from start to finish!

I was given a copy of Innocence Lost in exchange for an honest review. This is one series that I plan to follow. The first few chapters started out a little slow. They tell the back story of how Blake and Siobhan 'Si' meet and initially fall in love. I felt like the beginning could have been a little more detailed, however, when Blake and Siobhan run into each other ten years later, sparks fly.

Their reunion ignites a fire in both of them and results in some oh so steamy and well written sexy scenes. This, for me, is where the story really picks up. No sooner than they reunite does Blake come clean that he is a vampire, and vampire royalty at that. I also really enjoyed his back story and how he was born a vampire rather than made one.

No sooner do they reunite then enemies from Blake's past catch up to them and Siobhan is pulled into the dangerous vampire world. I'm not one to give away spoilers, but I will tell you the last half of this book had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, and flipping page after page. I loved the strength and fight Siobhan has and the romance and love she has for Blake. Even though she goes through hell, she never gives up on her love for Blake, and clings to the hope that he will rescue her.

This novel does have some darker themes, but they are hot and it is definitely worth the read. I am looking forward to picking up the next installment.

Innocence Lost is a highly erotic, mysterious and exciting paranormal read that many fans of the genre will enjoy. Especially those that are fans of dark and dominant vampires ;)

Siobhan meets the love of her life at the age of 19 only to have him leave her without so much as a word *POOF!*
Her love for him still continues to linger without even a slight dwindle. Siobhan knows it's a love that'll forever be there and only for him...

Twists, turns, shocks, surprises and a cliffhanger ending is only a small taste of what you'll experience from the first book of the Journey of Innocence series. Be warned, if you don't enjoy dark erotic scenes, MFM or FF action and if BDSM is not your thing. Then this book is not for you. On the other hand. If you enjoy it. This book should satisfy a readers erotic cravings and then some!
A 3.5 rating rounded to a solid 4.

I was gifted this book by the author to give an honest review, so I didn't bother reading the description and just dived right in. I am so glad I did as this book blew my socks off as I was expecting your usual vampire romance novel. This book is so different to anything I have read before, it was really explicit and maybe a little excessive with the sex scenes towards the end but this book definitely stands out and keeps you gripped right until the end.

Not for the faint hearted or Twilight fans ;-)

Vampire Erotica

This book delivers on being a highly erotic read with a paranormal theme. The author creates an intriguing world of danger and vampires that the heroine unknowingly becomes entangled in. I enjoyed the romance of the beginning and getting to see how Siobhan and Blake meet only to suffer years’ long separation then meet again. The second meeting reveals to Siobhan Blake’s true nature of an immortal vampire elder. When she is kidnapped by an ancient order of rival vampires, she is tossed into a dark, erotic underground where innocence is lost and the pleasures of the flesh are discovered.

Would recommend to readers who enjoy their erotica with a paranormal twist.

So the story starts with Blake going to see a fortune teller, she tells him of his future and he’s queen. “Finding her will be easy. Holding onto her will prove to be your worst nightmare.”

He meets Siobhan in the south of France, while she is on holiday with her 3 friends. They chat, get to know each other and things soon progress. “You Si, were made for my touch, my kiss. Your body is made for pleasure. What your body felt was completely natural. And this is only the start of our story.” But on the last day of the holiday, things turn bad for Blake and Siobhan. The last thing he says to her is, “Remember this if nothing else, Si, I love you.”

Skip ahead ten years, Siobhan has moved on with her life the best she can. She’s moved away to the countryside and starting a new job to move on from a past relationship. Siobhan has her 3 friends come and visit for the weekend. They go to the grand opening of a club, and who should be there….. None other than Blake.

Siobhan tries to resist Blake, but in the end decides to give into her feelings that haven’t disappeared even after all this time. She decides to let things progress naturally between them. Blake takes Siobhan home and lets her know how he feels and they have a wonderful night together.

The next morning, Siobhan’s life is turned upside down and everything she thought she knew doesn’t really apply to him anymore. She second guesses his feelings and her own. This happens when Blake decides to disclose his secret to Siobhan.

After talking to her friends and to Blake she decides that she doesn’t care about him being a vampire, she can’t be without him. Things seem to be going well for Blake, with Siobhan back at his side. But things take a twist and Siobhan is taken away from Blake.

While Siobhan is being held, she endures a lot of different and new physical experiences for her. She decides that this shouldn’t happen and people shouldn’t being doing these things and she doesn’t think she should be enjoying them. However Siobhan decides no matter what happens physically, Blake will always have her heart.

Blake aware of the situation Siobhan is being held in, does what he can to help. This is in the form of Jarryd. He is there to help her the best that he can, as Blake asked him to. It is quite hard to read as you see him start to get attached to her.

More twists happen in the book, that leave you quite shocked and trying to get to grips with it. The ending to this book is quite sudden and the story is in no way concluded, it leaves you with many questions. I feel that this book had great potential but I personally felt that the amount of sex that occurred in the second half of the book, took away from the story line at times. This is the main reason for the 3 and a half smooches.

Trying to tow the line because this book was so HOT YOU NEED SUNSCREEN TO READ IT!!! I mean I literally had to avoid reading during work hours. Blake is so delicious and perfect for Siobhan and everything she dreamed of until he makes a decision to vanish that leaves Siobhan hurt deeply. She faces the facts Blake's gone starts picking up the pieces of her life and moving on. Then 10 years later in barges Blake and his super hot friends who left her and her friends broken without a backward glance. The girls don't bat an eye making their unhappiness known especially once Blake and his friends reveal they are vampires. Eventually things start to smooth over again until Siobhan is kidnapped. Si realizes her love for Blake comes at a very high price and a debt she doesn't owe but Blake does. Siobhan is then forced into what I like to call the "Pleasure Palace for Vampires" and made to do very bad and dirty things. Helen knows her way around a good scene and makes you ride high with Si, and just when you are feeling great she amps it up with the oh so sexy Jarryd. I just loved Jarryd and all of his southern gentleman ways. This book is a bit dark I think because poor Siobhan was worked into oblivion. I really liked how Helen made Si compliant because it works well with vampires and that whole hunter prey I like to play with my food instinct. Overall this book was delicious and Hot as Hell fair warning though it is definitely NSFW(Not SAFE FOR WORK)

• Karen Peacock

I rated this 4.5 stars overall!!

Helen creates a world of fantasy where very powerful vampires roam the world. This is the first book in a 3 part series. Blake is an elder vampire and he falls for Siohban immediately while she is vacationing in the Southern France. Blake slips away from her in order to protect the love of his life, but he has never forgotten her and a chance meeting brings them back together. Once everything is perfect, Siohban is kidnaped and used as a sex slave. I don't want to give too much away, so you will just have to discover this world of vampires that Helen has created on your own.

Helen's story is full of imagery that makes you feel as though you are right there in the story. I felt as though I was sucked into this story right from the beginning. Her characters are well thought out right down to the exact item of clothing they are wearing and the steam factor is through the roof in this book. If you love a book chalked full of hot and wild sex scenes, then this is definitely a book you will enjoy. Be forewarned though, there is a cliff hanger at the end of book one. It's not a devastating one, but you will want to pick up book two right away. I have grown fond of Helen's style and am definitely looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

I had some pretty mixed feelings throughout this book and decided on 'intrigued' by the end of it.
I actually won an ecopy of this book from the author and was pretty excited to start another pnr series.
In the first few chapters, when we hear the back story and history of Blake and Si I thought it moved too fast and wanted more depth-- I'm a sucker for first loves, soul mates and those passionate and frienzied "first time" parts of romance/erotica books -- but as the story progressed, it did get more involved and soon had a really good flow to it.
This book may begin sweet and innocent but it ends anything but! The amount of sex scenes is almost overwhelming towards the end (a few scenes had me raising my eyebrows in shock) but in the context of the book makes sense. It is definitely sexually intense and definitely has me curious as to what happens in the next books!

100% Deliciously Naughty

This book is 100% Deliciously Naughty!!! Whoa ..What do you get when a 500 year old vampire thinks your his Queen? A touching first meeting and then you will be thrown into a world you have only heard of,. Blake and Siobhan's story will have you blushing, longing, and downright flustered, but what a beautiful time of innocence lost and found. Gripping and tense scenes will play out, lust will take hold alongside pain., both physical and emotional, what will become of Siobhan when she is taken by Monique, the woman who wants her for her plaything, the woman who is essentially the reason Blake gave Siobhan the locket. Will Siobhan be rescued and if so, what will happen with Jaryd, the one sent by Blake to watch over her. Loved it.

You won't want to miss out on what happens.

Mature audience 18+ read.

It's very sex-oriented or at least the majority of the book is! I actually enjoyed the story part of it, and seeing how the girls fell in love with guys in the beginning! The second part just kinda made me uncomfortable in the end! Cause she was basically being raped repeatedly day in & day out! I mean she was against it at first but then it was like she almost craved it in the end! Even when she wasn't drugged she craved it!

I didn't get the whole Blake just sending her and her friends down to the car when the whole thing went boom! I mean I would have assumed him or one of the other 2 guys would have actually escorted them down to the car! But I guess that as just me in the end! Overall its a good read, just very sex-oriented!

Till next time ~ Sweets Books

Definitely a MUST READ!!! It's hot, it's dark, it's erotic and definitely not for the light-hearted readers.
I never had a thing for paranormal or vampire stories. But I was persuaded to give it a go...and what should I say??? I'm addicted to this story!

It captured me right away. The easy beginning of their meeting, their unexpected split and then the reunion. And then things start to spiral down for Blake and Shioban and you just hold your breath, sometimes you're gasping and need a cold shower, sometimes you have the feeling all of Shioban's feelings are your own and you can feel and grasp her fear and dispair.
But what else can I say? You have to read it for yourself!

• Erica

This paranormal fantasy has a little bit of everything. Lonely woman, a sexy alpha Vampire, HOT erotic sex scenes, twists and turns and oh so much more. This is book one of a 3 part series. Siobhan and Blake's story will take you on a roller coaster ride. One minute everything is happy the next everything is going bad. Just when you think love can overcome everything Siobhan is kidnapped because of who Blake is, causing her to become a sex slave. But what happens next???? Guess you'll have to read! Can't wait for book 2.

Only reason it's not 5 stars is because I'm not a fan of 3rd person books and this switches out.

• Georgiann Hennelly

Just finished reading innocence lost and I have to say wow!!! I love it! this book is the next 50 shades of grey to me! I laughed, cried, yelled, and even screamed and almost threw my reader a few times while reading the book...It was absolutely magnificent! A definite must read for vampire lovers! cannot wait to read the next book! This author and her book are definately in a wonderful class of their own!

• Debz

I loved this book so much I read it twice!

This is a beautifully written story. The authors imagination has no bounds as she sucks us into her world of sex and vampires.

There are plenty of vampire novels out there but this one is genuinely a breathe of fresh air. It has a completely new twist on not only the world of vampires, but also of erotic fiction.

Loved every minute of this

• Elizabeth Grey

It was too raunchy for me.

• Claire Heaven

This starts off in the same vein as a good old fashioned classic vampire story. The handsome, rich and mysterious head of the vampires seeking out the one the old gypsy told him he is destined to meet. Predictably, when he finds her she doesn’t seem to have a problem when he reveals the truth. Where this deviates from the vintage black and white movies is the explicit sex. There's no heaving breasts and stolen glances, it has some steamy scenes right from the beginning (Twilight this is not), then it quickly ramps up to full on erotica...we are talking sex slave with a twist. Blake isn’t the one to be the knight in shining armor and protect Si though, instead he sends another handsome and sexy vampire, Jarryd. After 400 years you'd think he'd have more sense.
Is the story clichéd? Yes, marvelously so. Are the characters fresh and original? No, thankfully not.
Why am I giving it 5*? Because if you want all the elements of a true classic with an overdose of mind-blowing sex the author has hit the nail on the head.

• D.C.

I can’t

I tried. I really did. The story sounded interesting but it’s just too fast paced. The story jumps all over the place. Why was it necessary to jump fifty years then another ten? The instant love was just a little too unbelievable. Then ten years later and she’s still in love with him? No. I could have given in to a draw, a remembrance, but soulmate or not it just doesn’t feel logical to pine after someone you spent a few days with. I hate being negative but the MC feels like she has the emotional span of a 12 year old. Nothing felt like it could really happen. I got to the point where Blake suddenly reappeared and I called it quits. This was the first book I’ve read by this author. Unsure if it’s her first work or not but it really feels like it’s her first. Some of the writing felt too fluffed. Too many details, over explaining simple situations like she was trying to fill space. All that being said I think if this story had a little more work it could be good, but at its phase now it’s lacking and makes for a difficult read.
