Music journalist Tru Bennett has done the impossible: capture the heart of rock-star bad boy Jake Wethers. Now they’re busy planning a wedding and navigating their new life together in the US. Of course Tru misses London and her best friend, Simone, but living happily ever after with Jake in LA is going to be great…right?

Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.

Tru loves Jake more than anything. But when a devastating crisis threatens to destroy everything they’ve fought for, the couple must face the hard truth: What if, this time, love is not enough?

    Wethering The Storm lived up to my every expectation and was the perfect ending to Jake and Tru's story. It brought their journey full circle and ended on a beautiful note. Fans of TMS are in for a treat!

    The first book, The Mighty Storm, was quite honestly one of the best rock star romances I have ever read. It made my heart race and gave all the right amounts of every possible emotion and by the end of it, I'd fallen so in love with Jake and Tru that I just needed to see more of their story.

    The first half of this book actually has almost a calm vibe to it and it was considerably less angsty than the first book but after all the intense drama that Jake and Tru had just gone through, this was a welcome change of pace. They needed to take the time for them and they certainly deserved their moment of happy. But... things weren't completely perfect and there were issues they had to work through that dealt with some of Jake's biggest fears in life.

    One of the things I loved about this book was that on one hand it was a rock star romance, but on the other it was just this gorgeous story of a guy and a girl who'd been in love with each other since they were kids.

    The story took so much time to work through and deal with all the important personal and internal aspects of Jake and Tru's relationship that there were time I'd almost forget he was this hugely world famous rock star and was just able to see him as Jake - a hot, sexy, sometimes troubled guy who was crazy for his girl.

    "There is no one else for me. I begin and end with you."

    "You don't complete me, Tru. You make me who I am. You make me better. I'd be nothing without you. Nothing. I've been there once before, and I'm never going back. I'm never losing you again."

    I really don't want to say anything about the plot here but I know some of you have been worried about this one aspect of it so I'm going to lay your fears to rest here: Jake's drug issue does not come up again in this book. It is referenced because it's a part of his past but it is not a source of drama.

    In fact, I'd actually say that this book had no unnecessary drama in it at all. The issues they faced were understandable and despite the fact that there certainly had bumps in the road and misunderstandings, I loved that no matter what, they were both so absolutely crazy in love with each other that it got them through anything - even some of their biggest fears and insecurities.

    He walks to me. Taking my face in his hands, staring down at me, he whispers, "I'm not losing you, ever. I know I fuck up regularly, but I can't fuck us up."

    A cool new thing about this book is that we get alternating POVs! It's not a switch every chapter but we do get both sides of the story and I have to say that I really loved getting inside Jake's head.

    In the last quarter of the book, that quieter feeling I'd been talking about really got flipped right around because things got intense!!! Not in an angsty way though. No, we're talking genuine heart-in-your-throat intensity - the kind that tugged my heart string and brought tears to my eyes more than once. I was right there just madly flipping pages desperate to see what would happen. Totally absorbed in their story.

    The ending was just beautiful. I truly couldn't have asked for a better conclusion to their story. It wrapped up all the loose ends and left me with a wonderfully satisfied feeling. I was overflowing with happiness by the end and the last line was just perfect. Utterly perfect. It brought their story right back to the beginning while also completing it. I totally loved it ♥

    If you loved The Mighty Storm, you will definitely love this one too!

    This is truly one of my most favorite rock star series. It’s passionate, hot, emotional and just makes my heart race even thinking of it. Everyone needs to meet and fall in love with Jake Wethers ♥

    "I'll never get enough of you, Tru. Never," he growls in my ear..."

    My personal recommendation is to re-read TMS before starting this. WTS literally begins right after TMS ends and honestly, if you look at the two books as a whole, this one really counterbalances the first one so I think that it would be best to go straight from the first book into the second if you have the time.

    Oh, and finally, Tom's book is next and his story gets set up by the end of this one so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what's in store for him... and to see what his future girlfriend is going to think of his new tattoo ;)

    4.5 stars

    Jake Wethers and Trudy Bennett started out as neighbors and best friends as children. As they got a little older, Jake had to move and the two lost touch. In TMS they reconnected. Their relationship was tumultuous at best. After all the drama, stress, and ups & downs in TMS, Wethering the storm pick up immediately after TMS leaves off... Jake and Tru are finally able to be together. And they are happy. They have a beautiful love. I think a love that begins with a friendship is the most special kind.

     photo 2acf9db6-5cb6-4bb0-9925-18b82aa7b1d8_zpsdcf69680.jpg

    ‘There is no one else for me. I begin and end with you.’

    There is always going to be an adjustment period in any relationship, but when the relationship is in the public eye, its’ a little more difficult. Jake has a past. A past full of woman and drugs, and more woman. Living in LA where most of these woman are... it’s hard on Tru. It takes a toll on their relationship. Tru loves Jake more than anything, but it’s hard to cope with all that. Plus he drops the bomb on her that he may never want kids. But she loves him enough that she deals with it all. Tru and Jake truly have a one of a kind relationship.

     photo 38e11224-c1f8-4c76-b150-ec6dfa122b0b_zpsb8243211.jpg

    Jake is the man. he is probably my favorite ‘rock star’ book boyfriend. He is on the right path in this book, the straight and narrow. Being in a relationship is new for him, but he loves Tru so much, he will do anything it takes to make it work. Jake is really a one of a kind guy. He is focusing on his music, staying clean, and keeping Tru happy. He is at a place in his life he never thought he’d reach, and he intends on staying there.

     photo 214a30de-6119-4a55-878d-f89c57492b79_zps4252db6f.jpg

    Tru thought she could deal with Jake’s past, no problem. But when she finds it being thrown in her face constantly in LA, its harder than she imagined. She is at a new place, not a lot of friends, no family. It’s not easy to acclimate. But she loves Jake enough to try. Tru did a few things to work my nerves in this one, but not at all like she did in TMS. She was much more likable.

    There was a bit of drama here and there, some story line twists and turns. There were some definite OMG moments while reading this one. There was definitely a ton of hot and sexy moments (you won’t hear me complaining about that) and there was one moment that just touched me to the point of tears

     photo 2844b6b9-d9dc-48af-b5b5-cf44709b19ef_zpsd190c95a.jpg

    Wethering the Storm was an enjoyable read for me. It was good, very sweet, swoony and sexy. The writing was fantastic, I love Samantha Towle’s writing style. I actually liked Tru’s character much better in this book. Then there is Jake. Jake ‘the snake’ Wethers. Jake is just amazingly Jake. There is nothing I don’t love about that man! Jake had me swooning half of the book with his sexy self and his sweet words...
    ‘You don’t complete me, Tru. You make me who I am. You make me better. I’d be nothing without you. Nothing.’

    ‘You have me, like no one before. You have me where it counts.’

    ‘You hold this in the palm of your hand. You are the only woman who has ever had it, and ever will. You own me, Tru.’
    ‘You own me too. Completely.’

    I guess the reason this sequel didn’t get the same five star rating as TMS is because even though it was sweet, sexy, and enjoyable... it was very predictable. Even with that, it was still enjoyable for me and I am still very much looking forward to Tom’s book and more from this author.

    “There is no one else for me. I begin and end with you.”

    I was so freaking nervous while reading the continuation of Jake and Tru's story. There were a lot of bumps in the road in the first book so I had to brace myself here, knowing there will be a lot more. Sure enough, there were things that tested their strength and dedication to make their relationship work and all I did was rooting for their happily ever after.

    Wethering the Storm was written from dual POVs, so we get to hear from both Jake and Tru. In this book, Jake and Tru are already preparing for their big day. There are rainbows and butterflies at the start but Tru senses Jake's indifference when it comes to planning their future. He doesn't want to have kids, afraid that he cannot fill his duties as a father because of what his biological dad did to him and his mom in the past.

    My heartstrings were pulled and my emotions were stirred in this book. There were scenes that made me teary-eyed while there were scenes that also made me smile. This book was lighter in terms of angst. But still, there was angst which was good. I loved that despite each of the characters' flaws, they were still given a chance at a happy ending.

    “You don't complete me, Tru. You make me who I am. You make me better.”

    What also made this book delightful was the molten hot and intense sexual scenes of Jake and Tru. You cannot get enough! And Jake being Jake... I didn't expect his romantic gestures to go above and beyond. I loved his surprises to Tru here.

    Overall, I loved this book a whole lot. A little clichéd and predictable, yes, but the HEA made me feel happy like no other!

    “There isn't anything I won't do for you, Tru. Nothing I won't do to make you happy. What I feel for you... it's limitless. There is nothing before or after you. There is only you.”

    So, this is me in the end of this book (and in the beginning… and some chapters in the middle):

    description

    Well, Jake it’s on one of the first places of my book-boyfriend list, so I’m probably biased writing this because, well, there’s Jake there so it’s all good to me.
    Anyway, in this second installment we have Jake and Tru right after being engaged in the end of the first book and spending a vacation in a almost desert tropical island where everything is perfect.

    description

    But soon they have to go back to the real world and things are not so perfect there.
    Jakes past with drugs and women (especially women!) keeps getting in the way and their trust and communication issues are still there, not helping the case.

    To put the cherry on top of the cake Jake says he doesn’t want kids, that he has a asshole of a role-model growing up and would not know how to be one. And Tru…well, she really wants kids so this puts them in a very different place when it comes to their future.

    description

    But life has its own sick way of twisting all our plans and change everything we once though, so, when life keeps changing everything around them, Jake and Tru must decide if they are in it for the long haul, or if it just too much for them to be able to overcome.

    If you loved the first book, you will definitely love this. Is even better than the first (Yes, girls, it IS possible!!)
    Tru is still a little annoying but she does a lot of growing up in this book, the supportive characters (especially Stuart!!!) are great as usual. I really can’t wait for Tom’s story.
    And Jake… oh, well, Jake…

    Go read it now, people. What are you waiting for?

    This book emotes so many feelings in me....

    It's beautiful to read about a love so exquisitely powerful.

    If you’ve read
    The Mighty Storm then you will know and understand the depth of feelings and love Jake and Tru have for one another……for me, this second book celebrates these characters with beautiful words and emotions but it also gives us so much more. It gives a story of love, jealousy, sadness, friendship, grief, letting go and moving on from the past……....yes, from the start I could see the probable direction of the book, but I still lived it. And loved it. There is beauty in the writing and, even though it had some predictability, it still kept me wondering ~ what will happen next???? With butterflies in my tummy ♥

    Thank you so much Samantha Towle for this incredible world of Storm magic you’ve given us.

    I spent a lot of time during the first part of the book smiling and putting my hand on my chest on a sigh…just so gorgeous.

    I don't want to say anything about the story... I don't want to spoil your reading in any way. I just want to give you a flavour; share some of my thoughts and sweet love for Wethering The Storm, Tru and most of all my favourite rock star EVER... Jake Wethers.

    ♥ Jake
    He's gorgeous!!!

    “He is everything that means perfect to me.”

    In Tru we have a heroine who can, at times, be annoying and incredibly frustrating with her inner thoughts and her actions, but the truth is Samantha has created a human character with flaws...she doesn't hold back on these flaws just like you or I wouldn't hold back on our inner thoughts ...why would we???

    I love Tru.

    "I guess we make a good pair....the best jealous pair ever." ~ Jake

    I so understand jealousy…it’s irrational but if you feel it, you feel it…it can eat away at you and has the ability to destroy.

    I love everything about their relationship; their history and the potential of their future.

    The conversation and banter between Jake & Tru's perfectly developed characters is simply joyful….the author writes with such skill and ease….......

    ♥ They made me smile, they made me laugh out loud, they made me cry buckets, they made me horny.....Oh yes it was as hot as hell....but most of all they made my heart swell and gave me the warm fuzzies.

    Jake says the most beautiful heartfelt words to Tru but it’s not cheesy...it's still real.....still Jake....he's amazing.....

    They have a love so powerful and this makes their sexual relationship even hotter to read. In my opinion…they are dynamite together, he worships her body……every single inch; it's beautiful and knicker wetting gorgeous.

    "There are so many emotions going through me right now."

    A potentially life changing event occurs.... …...for me the floodgates opened... …….the way Samantha wrote this and the sentiment conveyed by the characters’ was just incredible...I could see and feel everything so clearly. AMAZING WRITING. Miss Towle I salute you!!!
    "I can't breathe the pain in my chest is unbearable."

    "My heart swells with happiness......I never, ever want to lose this feeling." ~ Tru

    "Everything is you."

    The Supporting cast are, of course, fabulous as well and all add to, and enhance the flavour of this incredible story…..I can’t wait to take a ride with Tom….I can feel it will be epic!!!!!

    This is how you write a sequel…..it wasn’t cheesy…..it wasn’t boring….it wasn’t just for the sake of it. Samantha Towle has stayed true to her fabulous characters. She dedicates this book to the fans who love the story and I think the fans will be very, very happy.

    "Could I love this man anymore? He really is my version of perfect."
    So very, very true…..♥

    ♥ BR with my lovelies, Barb & Deanna *Excited*
    And all the other lovely ladies who happened to be reading at the same time!!!!! xxxxxx

    This is a story about Friendship, love, healing, family and happiness.

    MY STORY
    We start off pretty much where we were left off after The mighty storm where Jake and Tru are having some well deserved rest and time to connect again, they have there time doing nothing but be intimate and talk, they then start there life together in LA this is a much slower book and I suppose predictable but that didn't stop me from loving it any less. The mighty storm is a different book and pulled my heart out and I was give me more nowww. I waited 8 long months to read this and it didn't disappoint, there love for each other seeps through the pages they are crazy for each other, even though there may be troubles some highs along as some lows there love is one thing that is centre of this story.

    "There is no one else for me. I begin and end with you."-Jake

    Jake and Tru have been best of friends since they were kids and in TMS there relationship was full on and heart breaking, when they found each other again it took them time to get past there troubles 'drug' addictions, boyfriends, being a rock star, what I will say in this one without giving anything away there is no more drama concerning Jakes Addiction, maybe within himself to learn to stay clean and away from drugs, but throughout Jakes strength I found him to be really honourable, strong and at peace with himself.

    Jake is his dominating self, always out to protect and look after Tru every step of the way, only wanting her, he's having to learn to be a good boyfriend to Tru and working that with being a famous Rockstar he really can do no wrong. Always putting Tru first.

    TRU

     photo tru_zps32fe05a5.jpg
    Yes Tru is frustrating with her continuation to not communicate but I would also say that I don't think the drama was unnecessary I did understand why she thought or went the way she did.

    Ok so there are some SSSSHHHHHHIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTT moments but yes I enjoyed it all, I stayed up till 4am reading this I have loved reading this story, Samantha can write a fab love story I understood which direction they were going and yes very predictable but it didn't stop me from reading it....

    And yes you can expect a whole lot of this...

     photo musictopositionsgif_zps28132877.gif

    There was some totally laughable times, I cried, smiled, and I a very beautiful ending... lots of fab secondary characters so bring on Tom's story can't wait... Enjoy!!

    4 MIGHTY fine stars!

    To be honest, I enjoyed
    Wethering The Storm a bit more than it's predecessor,
    The Mighty Storm.

    The reason I say I enjoyed it more is because the giant thorn in my side (a.k.a. Tru) was there but, this time, she managed to annoy me only for half the book rather than the entire length of it.

    Now, how do I put this nicely ... I was never a fan of Tru's (that's a bit of an understatement but I am trying to be nice) so going into this book knowing she is still a big part of this story wasn't easy for me.

    WHY you ask? Because I don't understand or quite get or even like women like Tru. Why anyone would choose the door instead of talking about things that bother you with your significant other is beyond me. I was trying really hard to understand where she was coming from but I just couldn't because Tru's ways of "dealing" with things are foreign to me. Plus I am still nursing a grudge against her for walking out on Jake after he fell off the wagon in book 1 but that's a whole other story.

    Another thing that puzzles me is WHY any man [specially a man like Jake] would spend most of his free time trying to convince a woman like Tru that he loves her, she is the only one for him, there isn't anyone else, the groupies are in the past, the past he can't change, etc. Did I miss the memo that says being insecure turns guys on????

    Moving on ...

    First 50% of the book was me doing a lot of this

    Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    and this

    Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    thanks to Tru and her dumbass behavior.

    I actually felt like sitting Jake down and telling him that

    Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    Then finally [FINALLY!!!] we had a breakthrough & Tru did a complete 180.

    Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    She finally found her big girl panties and became bearable for the rest of the book which made it a lot easier for me to finish.

    Overall verdict:

    Other than a lot of frustrating moments involving Tru, this book had some noteworthy moments as well. Some were funny (Tom!!! Can't wait for his book!!!), some were heartbreaking (), some really sweet ().

    I am going to miss one of my favorite rock stars but he is always only a click away on my Kindle ...

    After all the drama at the end of The Mighty Storm, Jake and Tru are together...and happy. They are trying to settle down and get accustomed to dealing with Jake's celebrity status and with Tru living in the States but nothing can ever be that simple.

    Let me start off by saying that HOLY COW...Jake is sooo amazingly romantic!! I loved all the sweet things he did...of course, his answers to some things were way over the top. But hey, when you have millions of dollars, what's a measly thirty million? The bottom line is that no matter what he took care of Tru!

    And that leads to the first drama, Tru should've had more trust in Jake. They've come so far and are talking to each other, establishing some rules and then to just blow it all off was a bit extreme. Then, it couldn't be a big problem because it had to be solved very easily....and unfortunately, predictably.

    Most of the situations in the book were too predictable and that caused me to deduct half a star. I teetered whether it was enough but basically the romanticism of the book sold me....even if it is a bit of a fairy tale, it's still a good fairy tale!

    ♫ ♪ Take that chance with me,
    I’ll let you down, I know,
    But I’ll fix it too, because everything is you,
    Everything is you.

    I really loved getting Jake's POV. I love when authors incorporate both POVs...it just adds so much to the story. I do have to say that I felt a bit of déjà vu with regards to Kellan Kyle. Jake IS Kellan...for the most part and I'm definitely okay with that!

    There were a ton of smexy times in this book. Yay!! I was a bit shocked though especially having two quite detailed ones in the first ten percent. But I loved how Tru speaking Spanish made Jake crazy...why didn't anyone ever tell me that secret? LOL!

    I loved everything Tru did for Jake's birthday...again, it was sooo romantic. And then what Jake did for Tru. ~sigh~ Naturally, it can't all be dark pink roses, there is a huge drama and let me tell you....TEARS, people, TEARS! Yes, it was a bit cliché but it hurt sooo good.

    We got a lot more story on the secondary characters in this book. I loved how things progressed with Simone and Denny and Stuart and "****". It was also great seeing how things developed with Jake and Tru's parents. And we get a good set up for the next book with Tom. At first, I wasn't quite sure if I would be interested but by the end, I was definitely curious enough to rub the lamp!! ;)

    Overall, a wonderful, romantic love story. The epilogue was amazing! I loved reading more about Jake...he is "yummy delicious"! oh yea, and Tru too!

    Wethering the Storm is the conclusion to Jake and Tru's story. After what happened on the previous book, it was a crazy ride of complications which challenged their relationship, patience and understanding. Everything almost went down but their love for each other was strong and unbreakable they were able to overcome these hindrances.

    The story continues from the last part of The Mighty Storm wherein Jake and Tru are officially . From UK, Tru moves to Los Angeles with him and she's adjusting from a simple to luxurious lifestyle. Jake has all the privileges and he gave everything to her. The ugly side of living in Los Angeles, people continuously tried to invade their privacy and encountering Jake's previous affairs which cause a slight rift between the couple. Admittedly, Tru was overwhelmed by it but she's coping well.

    Aside from these, Tru and Jake are talking about starting a family. It caused a little miscommunication between them but I love that the drama didn't go over the top. Glad everything went great and resolved after talking about it. You might get some tissues because tears were shed in this sequel. Jake's last surprise for Tru was special, touching and incredibly sweet. I'm so happy for them and they truly deserved a happy ending. I'm happier for other couples in this book like Denny and Simone plus Stuart and Josh (!!!! OMGGG!!!) I SHIP THEM ALL TOO HARD! 😭🙌🏼👏🏼

    It was a heartwarming ending. Jake and Tru are blessed with wonderful family and friends. The greatest blessing they received was having in their lives. I'm jumping into the next book. I'm hooked with Samantha Towle's novels and I'm looking forward to read more.

    Sigh....Jake Wethers

    Since I'm unbelievably late to this party, I'll make my review short and sweet.

    This book was all about Jake for me. He tackled his past demons and mistakes with honesty, vulnerability and strength. And it was great seeing him grab onto and fight for the only thing he's ever wanted...a life with Tru. I really appreciated how honest they were with each other. Neither hid their insecurities or fears, letting it fester into some unneeded drama...it was quite refreshing.

    Unfortunately, the author uses two plot devices that had me giving two large eye rolls. The first one , you could see coming a million miles away. However, I understood its purpose in helping Jake deal with his past and confront a fear that was such a big part of his future with Tru. The other....why? It's almost as though the author didn't know what else to write about. I didn't understand its inclusion or its purpose. It was unnecessary dramatic effect to stretch out the last quarter of the book.

    All in all, I enjoyed this one. Jake is definitely a hot and swoon-worthy leading man. His insatiable libido (gotta love that snake!), sweet vulnerability, and unyielding love for Tru really made this book for me.

    "There isn't anything I won't do for you, Tru. Nothing I won't do to make you happy. What I feel for you...it's limitless. There is nothing before or after you. There is only you."

    This book picks up where the other left off. Tru Bennett and Jake Wethers are on vacation so they can finally spend time alone together to celebrate their engagement. I'm not gonna lie, in the first half of the book not much really happened. It was pretty much an extended epilogue where everything was going good and they were happy. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. I was in a blissful state right along with them. They are both still dealing with their insecurities. I was a bit annoyed that they both still had these issues, but when I started remembering what happened in the first book, I thought I would probably be insecure as well. Which reminds me, I should have re-read the first book again, since I read it SO long ago. But anyways, Tru and Jake still disagreed at times and acted childish (especially Tru), but seeing them love each other had me sighing constantly. I was almost waiting for something really bad to happen. And boy, did it happen.

    I was so happy to see that we got Jake pov in this book. I love getting inside his head and read what he is thinking. Jake blew. my. mind!! He was über romantic. I don't remember him being that way, but he was so freaking swoony. I had to remind my heart to keep calm. The things he did... He was a sexy rocker, with such a thoughtful sweet side. I loved each side of him and together, he was just so perfect. Jake still thinks he is unworthy of Tru and fears losing her. My heart still breaks for him when he talks about the abusive past he suffered at his father's hands. I so wanted to hug him so bad when he kept comparing himself to his father, and how he didn't want to turn into him. It was really sad. But I think Jake has come a long way. I couldn't be more happy for him. He melted my heart completely into a big puddle of mush. I LOVED him!! *sigh*

    The book was a whole lot romantic and steamy. They could not keep their hands off each other. It seemed Jake was always randomly attacking her, but she wasn't complaining, I mean who would. It was awesome and at times really beautiful. Like I mentioned before, things were going so perfect that I knew something bad was bound to happen. And it did, big time. The last thirty percent or so, was intense. My emotions were everywhere. I'm not going to spoil it for anyone, but I was tearing up a bit. I think this turn of events is what caused these two characters to really grow. It was great to see them transform and yet still be themselves.

    The ending and epilogue of this book was so BEAUTIFUL!! Again, Jake just swept me off my feet. It will not dissapoint. I loved how everything concluded for this pair. Absolutely happy with it! And now Tom is next to have his book and I can't wait!! He may be annoying in a dirty way, but that's what I love about him. I also loved all of the secondary characters and how things ended up for them as well. I was so glad to see Simone happy. But I can't lie, I was squeeing so bad to see Stuart find his happiness. I loved this book and definitely recommend you read this right after you read or re-read The Mighty Storm.

    Guess who’s back??

    Jake Wethers is back in town y’all, with his beautiful, piercing blue eyes, his cheeky grin, his gorgeous tattooed body and he’s still completely and totally besotted by his Trudy.

     photo JakesSong_zps3521618f.jpg

    It’s been so much fun watching the anticipation for the release of Wethering The Storm reach almost fever pitch in the last few weeks and days before the big day actually came around. So many readers had fallen so very much in love with Jake and Tru and have been waiting with bated breath for this conclusion to their story. I actually did wonder where Wethering The Storm might take us – after all, we had a happy ending at the end of The Mighty Storm, a reconciliation and a marriage proposal. But Wethering the Storm, takes us a little further and provides an thrilling and dramatic conclusion to Jake and Tru’s story that’s deeply satisfying and will not disappoint.

    Despite their apparent happiness with each other and how much they love one another, William Shakespeare definitely knew what he was talking about when he said the course of true love never did run smooth! Tru will have to deal with living in Los Angeles and all that it entails – her homesickness and Jake’s manwhore past is constantly rearing its ugly head and, on top of all that, Tru wants to have children and Jake doesn’t see that in his future and Jake is going to have to deal with all of Tru’s insecurity and her jealousy.

    Wethering the Storm starts off on a truly idyllic note and very calmly but there are some bumps in the road ahead and, despite a fairly sedate beginning, the last 20% or so practically ripped my heart out and I swear I almost stopped breathing at one point. There’s some gasp out loud moments here when everything seems lost and hopeless – some desperate lows as well as some wonderful highs and laugh out loud moments. Jake’s embarrassment at Dr Glamazon’s office was a moment to remember and cherish forever!

    Jake is for me just one of those heroes that stands out from the crowd, a little more memorable than most of the rest. I think I can put this firmly at the feet of Samantha Towle - it’s her beautiful writing, her fantastic character realisation that brings Jake and Tru and all the secondary characters vividly to life, that makes them seem real and allows us to share in their happiness and sadness and experience those emotions right along with them. I feel so incredibly connected to them, so fully invested in their story that they’ve all become unforgettable to me.

    His hand goes to the back of my neck, holding me to him as his tongue gently strokes over mine. He sucks my bottom lip into his mouth, exhaling a gentle breath over me. “You don’t complete me, Tru. You make me who I am. You make me better. I’d be nothing without you. Nothing. I’ve been there once before, and I’m never going back. I’m never losing you again.”
    I get chills at his words. “Good, because I’m going nowhere.”

    “No regrets?” he asks.

    “Never. I’m right where I’m meant to be—where I was always meant to be.”

    Jake is still a sexy rock God and he still feels the pull of his former addictions and lifestyle but I loved how he felt that now wants to be a better man for Tru, how she has completely turned his life around and rescued him from himself and the downward spiral he was headed on. He’s got a past full of pain and sorrow and has made some pretty bad decisions but now Tru has shown him that he can be a better man and now that he has someone who means everything to him, he will do just about anything for. her and is desperate to protect her and keep her safe. Of course, he’s not perfect – he still makes some bad decisions but now, instead of looking for the oblivion of a drug-induced high, he’s turning to Tru and drawing strength from her and it’s beautiful to see.

    This is just, quite simply, just a beautiful love story. There is an incredible depth of emotions on display here as it’s so obvious just how much Jake adores his Tru – he’s incredibly intense, a little afraid that their happiness could be snatched away at any moment and I just loved how much he truly adored her. She is everything to him.

    “I love you,” I whisper to him, in the dark. “Thank you for what you did out there. And for the piano. Thank you for all the wonderful things you do for me.”
    He stills for a long moment, staring down at me, a blank expression wearing his face. I wonder what’s going through his mind.
    “There isn’t anything I won’t do for you, Tru. Nothing I won’t do to make you happy. What I feel for you…it’s limitless. There is nothing before or after you. There is only you.”

    This has been one of the highlights of my reading year as I have so much enjoyed the heart-melting tenderness, the incredible depth of feelings, the super-charged white hot sex scenes and the deeply compelling journey of Tru and Jake from childhood friends to lovers and soul-mates. It’s endearing, enchanting and abso-fuckin-lutely a 5 star read.

    ~ Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning ~

    For those of you who loved The Mighty Storm, hang on tight because I’m sure you’re going to love this next installment in the life that is Tru and Jake. Whilst it may not contain the heart thumping angst throughout that was so prevalent in TMS, there are scenes in Wethering The Storm that will leave you reeling and have you clutching your heart. I know they did mine.

    “You don’t complete me, Tru. You make me who I am. You make me better. I’d be nothing without you. Nothing. I’ve been there once before, and I’m never going back. I’m never losing you again.”

    We left Jake and Tru at the end of TMS with questions and decisions hanging in the balance. Tru was still feeling insecure in her relationship with Jake. Never really feeling she was good enough for him despite Jake’s insistence and actions to the contrary. There were still past issues lurking that hadn’t been completely resolved and Jake’s demons were like a cloud still hanging over his head and for Tru, living in Jake’s shadow was always going to be difficult.

    “It’s not that I don’t trust him, I do. I just know how easily a slip can happen. I watched it happen to him before and I was blind to it, and it got too far too fast.I won’t let that happen again.”

    In WTS both Jake and Tru shared so much growth. I especially loved watching Tru gain confidence and realise that yes, she was special, she was completely worthy of this man and she “got it”. She understood his complete devotion to her.

    “There isn’t anything I won’t do for you, Tru. Nothing I won’t do to make you happy. What I feel for you…it’s limitless There is nothing before or after you. There is only you.”

    The story does lull you into a false sense of security in a way that it is a slow build before it wallops you upside the head, then has you sobbing and gripping your heart in fear and anticipation.

    This book was more the progression of two people learning to live and love together, to deal with each other’s lives, each other’s baggage and each other’s insecurities and it is brought to life in such a beautiful fashion.

    “Thank you.” This is the second time today he’s thanked me, and this time I have to ask why.

    “For being with me. For giving me a chance at getting my life right.”

    There were parts of this book that destroyed me. I sobbed and I felt every single moment and Jake especially brought me to my knees at times. Other scenes had me in fits and there were most definitely parts that had me fanning myself! Wowsers, these two can certainly steam up the pages!

    “In it, on it, anywhere and any way I can have you.”

    The light-heartedness, the banter, the love, the passion, the mis-communication and the sensuality shared by Jake and Tru throughout WTS were just stepping stones to the adversity they would face down the track. When life throws an absolute curve ball at you, it takes something special and a strong bond to see you through. Having that person to lean on, depend on and love is what will see you through the other side.

    “I’m afraid. Terrified. I can’t breathe. My heart hurts against my ribs. Hurts real bad.”

    Do Jake and Tru have possess that kind of bond? Has their relationship the substance required to bring them out the other end? Will their experiences shatter them or strengthen them?

    “But that isn’t what I want to hear. I don’t want to hear any of this. I don’t want to be here.”

    In this instalment we are afforded the extra benefit of getting inside Jake’s head and what a ride that is. I love this guy. He’s so….well….he is such a MAN! He’s alpha without being a dick. He’s strong, dependable and yet so sensitive at times and we get to witness first hand this man during those sensitive moment. Be prepared because he will tear your heart open.

    With Jake’s POV comes the opportunity to share the camaraderie between Jake, Tom and Denny first hand and what a lot of fun that was. It cracked me up witnessing the banter and sheer naughtiness of their “guy” talk. I loved listening to them reminisce and these moments felt so special.

    “Yeah, it has been a while. Too long.” I stare down into my glass. “You remember how we used to be out every night when Jonny was still here?”
    Surprising myself as I say it, I realise saying his name doesn’t hurt as much as it used to. There was one point where I couldn’t even finish a sentence if his name was in it.

    What I took away from these interactions was the feeling that these guys were Jake’s family. They were so important to each other, and without these guys Jake really wouldn’t have survived the issues he had dealt with in his past.

    I will say upfront that I am a bit biased when it comes to this story as I was a beta on this book and saw it through from an inception to completion. To witness an idea form, to see it brought to life is indeed something special and an experience I will never forget. I’ve formed a strong bond with these books and the characters. I feel as if I know them personally and I love them deeply and I will miss them terribly.

    Wethering the Storm is the next chapter in Jake and Tru’s life. This book doesn’t have the constant angst of TMS but it’s not missed. This book is about two people living through their problems, building the foundations for their future and it’s a story that has heart, emotion , humour and heat. And what a fitting finale to the story of Tru and Jake it is.

    Ahh Jake, Jake, Jake we meet again. I was waiting for you, boy, to make your appearance when I heard there was another book coming out. Lucky for me I got my hands on you before the masses...Long Live The Mighty Storm!

    The story picks up right where we left off, Jake purposing to Tru and the tour ending. We see our couple together having some quiet and private time and a lot of intimate time. I don’t remember if they had sex this much in The Mighty Storm but our power couple sure are making up for any lost time in this department. What could be wrong with more and more of sexy Jake time though right…maybe?

    I have to be honest and say that the excitement I had for The Mighty Storm did not carry over to this book. It just didn’t have the same appeal. Maybe it was the time in between, maybe it was what I have read during that time, I am still not sure. Jake was still Jake but what I had felt was so romantic, sexy and hot in book 1 came off..well just off in this one. Sure there still are the same Jake moments that I adore but where I liked Tru in TMS I wanted to toss her out the nearest window here. I just could NOT get her here, not at all.

    There IS the same sexiness that comes from Jake being Jake and the small bits of his POV are SO JAKE! They were fun and I was glad we got those in the story. The angst, I won't go into spoiler territory but let's just say I wasn’t on board with that at all. I did not need the angst, even though I am a self proclaimed angst whore. I had thought that they could come to a compromise long before it happened.

    While I know that others will adore this and I hope they do, it just wasn’t it for me. I was happy see more of the members of The Mighty Storm (which I thought was perfect as a stand alone) but I ended up skimming a lot of this book and had to keep putting it down and force myself to pick it back up again. That alone made me sad. I adored The Mighty Storm, ADORED it and wrote my review it homage to Jake and his snake but…but…sigh. I just don’t know.

    I don't know whether to smile because it was so good, or cry because it's over.

    5+ STARS!

    Siiiggggh. I just love Jake so bloody much.

    God. I don't even know what to say. Can I not just tell you I love Jake again, and leave it at that...? That's pretty much how I'm feeling right now...

    Loved up. Deflated because I've finished. Heavy hearted. All warm and fuzzy inside. Sigh. Again.

    I was so worried about reading this book. I was terrified that
    a) the characters wouldn't deal with any more drama,
    b) that Samantha Towle would overdo it and I'd be saying 'she should have quit while she was ahead', or,
    c) that there wouldn't be enough to fill out a whole book.
    Yeh, no, none of that happened.

    It was just perfect. Tru and Jake had so much more to tell us. The right amount of angst, drama and tension. Love, steam and happiness. Enough to warrant the second book, but not too much that it was unrealistic or would break them.

    This book, unlike the first book, alternates between Jake and Tru's POV. Which is very cool. The majority is Tru, but then we get little bit's of inside Jake's head. I loved reading Jake's POV. How much he adores Tru. Little things like the way he answers the phone, the way she giggles... he's one smitten kitten, and it's soooo cute.

    There are some really funny parts of this book too. Some of it really made me laugh. I'm such a child at times... the mention of the words 'penis' and 'willy' and I had a fit of the giggles.

    Freaking hilarious!

    I enjoyed that most of this book focused on Jake and Tru as a couple. Not Jake the mega famous rock star, or The Mighty Storm, as a band... but them as a pair. At home. On holiday. Away from the rest of the world. Behind closed doors. Obviously the troubles they face are directly linked to Jake's fame, but this was about how they coped, in their relationship, internally.

    Again, Samantha Towle does an awesome job of making everything so believable. The trials that Jake and Tru come up against aren't far fetched or just for the sake of a story. They're relatable, understandable.

    Trudy struggles with her new reality a lot in this book. I wondered, at one point, if she would be able to cope with the new pressures of Jake's 'normal' life, which is so far from most peoples' normal. So, the tables turned a little, here. I thought it would Jake who would find it difficult to deal with any further issues, but in fact, he was so much stronger in this book.

    I completely understood how torn Tru was... Does she live this life that is so far out of her comfort zone; new country, unwanted press attention, a partner who has a crazy occupation, who is adored by legions of mad, jealous female fans, who will tour around the world, etc. But a man she loves desperately, like he is a part of her soul. Or live a normal, quiet, safe, peaceful life, near her family and friends, her job, in her home country, with someone steadfast and dependable, like Will... but without her soul mate.

    I have such a special place in my heart for these two characters. I want them to be together. To be okay. With everything that happens to them, my heart aches for them. And I love the way they deal with things. They fuck up, sure. They argue and they make mistakes. But that's part of what makes you love them even more. And what makes you believe in their love for one another. Even when they mess up, even when they lash out and let one another down, they still love one another unconditionally. They talk, they understand and they work through things. I love that. I doesn't happen often enough in the books we read.

    There are some reeeeally hot bits, too! Phew. I want me a Jake! Sooo badly. He just oozes sex appeal and testosterone. Love it.

    The first half of this book is 'nice'. It's daily ups and downs, the progression of their relationship, them working out how to live together, how to build their future, how to intertwine their very different lives, etc.
    The second half, not so much. Wow. I. Could. Not. Put. It. Down!!! My stomach was doing somersaults and my heart was in my mouth.

    But don't worry, readers. We are rewarded for our staying power with the most beautiful ending. It was perfect. It was everything I could have wanted for these characters. So bittersweet, because I just didn't want to reach the final page. I can't wait for the next book in the series and I so hope we get to see a little more of one my favourite book couple ever!

    In the words of Jake Wethers...

    Gah, there is so much I want to talk about in this review... but I can't. There's a lot I can't mention without spoilers. And I don't want to do that. But I just have to tell you... if you think you loved Jake before, you just wait! He will steal your heart, entirely, in this book! Props to Samantha Towle.

    OH MY GOD I want to give Wethering the Storm 10**********

    I have never cried so much reading a book like I did with WTS, reading Jake's POV, Jake and Stewart together the tears started coming and would not stop.

    I found WTS a very romantic story and I loved the way Tru & Jake's relationship progressed throughout the story, I loved the way all of Jake's group took Tru in under their wings and I love Stewart.

    Loved the dual POV's between Tru & Jake.

    Very happy with this book after waiting a year from reading The Mighty Storm Jake Wethers is my favourite rock star. Thank you Samantha :-)

  • Michelle

    I feel like I have been waiting forever for this book. I was craving more Jake Wethers.

    WTS starts off where TMS left off. Jake has Tru back and he is not going to mess it up again. He knows what it's like to love her, be inside her and be without her and one of those
    hurts like a bitch.

    This is the story continuation of Tru & Jake's story. She has moved to LA, she has said yes to marrying him and after 12 years of being apart they seem to have found their path to perfect. But the there are outside things that Tru never realized could affect her relationship. Jake's past - the women that he lost himself in, the fame and the constant of being in the public eye. But one thing is certain. Jake loves his Trudy. It is the one thing he knows and the one thing he needs. There is not much about their story that can be said without giving away the pivotal moments so let's just move on...

    Tru Love

    I loved that this was not full of angst and drama that usually accompanies any rockstar book. Jake and Tru have already been there and done that.

    But this is not without some drama. But this time I was not finding myself biting my nails and all sorts of nervous. This had some very emotional moments when you get to a point in the story where Jake just about brings you to your knees. Samantha Towle did an outstanding job pulling emotions out of the pages of this story.

    There was a little predictability with the story and it was full of sweet moments where you see a different side of Jake. For me this was a brilliant continuation of their story. I didn't want to experience the drama - I wanted the moments of flutters in my stomach and soft sighs. And this delivered such a romantic image of Jake - it really brought through the point of just how much having her at his side meant.

    Some may feel that this as a stand alone was lacking the angst, but for those of us who suffered through that in TMS; this just felt as close to perfect as it could get. I am looking forward to getting to know Tom a little better, I have to say he has never really appealed to me but I have a feeling that he might give Jake a run for his money.

    LOVEDDDDDDDDDD THIS BOOK.. I WANT ME A JAKE + I WANT TO LICK HIM.. Gosh how I want him..*sigh*

    He's beautiful and perfect inside and out!

    ~~~~
    Its so annoying!!! TMS came out like a year ago and obviously I don't remember every detail of the book. So now I have to re-read that before reading this..
    Its not like I have all the time in the world to re-read a book AGAIN just to get to its second one. Its like I am DYING to read this, but I have to wait because I have to re-read TMS
    I mean c'mon authors. Take your time writing, but compile your work and release them together please. Make life easy for all of us.
    I read
    The Mighty Storm">The Mighty Storm back in October {
    my review}, and I can easily say it is one of
    my favorite Rock Star books ever, and in fact, one of my
    favorite books of 2012. It ended well, and frankly, the story could have ended there (not that I wanted it to). Knowing there would be more Jake Wethers? I couldn't wait!!! But I have read a lot of rock star books since then, and I wanted to make sure I had Jake and Tru fresh in my mind before reading
    Wethering the Storm">Wethering the Storm. So I re-read The Mighty Storm (TMS). I am SO GLAD I did. I did forget a lot, and confuse a few details with other books. But more importantly, Wethering the Storm picks up EXACTLY where TMS left off, and the two books joined together seamlessly.
    “There isn’t anything I won’t do for you, Tru. Nothing I won’t do to make you happy. What I feel for you… it’s limitless. There is nothing before or after you. There is only you.”
    Wethering the Storm does not stand alone, and I recommend you re-read The Mighty Storm first. That being said, I think this may be one of the best follow-up books ever. In fact, I think I can safely say, I loved Wethering the Storm a little more!
    Tru and Jake were meant to be together since childhood. When they finally got back together after all of the angst and bumps they went through in The Mighty Storm, I wanted them to keep their HEA. I was a little scared to read this...I didn't want my fairytale ending smudged. But I knew there were issues the couple had to work out. While The Mighty Storm was about Jake and Tru coming together at last (and they continue to do that....a LOT), Wethering the Storm is about them doing just that...weathering all the storms the paparazzi, fame, drugs, and....life can bring to a couple. It was about them trusting each other, and staying together.
    “You don’t complete me, Tru. You make me who I am. You make me better. I’d be nothing without you. Nothing. I’ve been there once before, and I’m never going back. I’m never losing you again.”
    The relationship between Jake and Trudy was so much deeper than many we read about. The music connection was strong part, but I really loved the way there is never any doubt in the reader's mid that Tru was always the ONLY one for him. Since childhood.
    “I love how music can elicit memories. And I love how even now it still binds Jake and me together. It’s our connection.  It’s how we talk.”
    Well, they have one other way of talking, and damn.....there is some HOT sex in this book. Jake never misses a chance to show Tru exactly how much her loves her.
    "I love it when he talks to me like this. Dirty and domineering. It's incredibly hot."
    But they still have so many issues, it's like Tru is constantly walking on eggshells, waiting for the thing that will make Jake choose drugs or other women over her. And Jake has trust issues as well. When they are alone, they are great. But when real life kicks in, the couple still has issues. Tru has a hard time dealing with all the fame and everything that goes with it.
    "You knew how I lived my life when we got together, Tru. Don't act like this is a surprise now.
    Are you ever going to be able to get past this?"
    "I don't know. And if I can't, where does that leave us?"
    ________
    He walks to me. Taking my face in his hands, staring down at me, he whispers, "I'm not losing you, ever. I know I fuck up regularly, but I can't fuck us up."
    Wethering the Storm slowly builds. Their love grows stronger and surer....then...hold the fuck on, the ride begins.
    "Pain tears through me, so fierce that my legs buckle. I fall against the wall, clutching my chest. I feel wide open. Broken. Devastated."
    That's exactly how I felt as the reader. And then...even more. The waterworks didn't stop. I bawled like a baby, hugging my iPad. I felt so connected to this couple, especially after reading the two books back-to-back.
    I was glued to the pages and ran through every emotion reading this book. A few of my tweets follow:
    Just went from sweet crying to cracking up in 1 page. Loving Wethering the Storm by @samtowlewrites!!!
    OMFG!!!! No! I can't read anymore, but I can't stop @samtowlewrites #wetheringthestorm
    Trying to read through tears...@samtowlwrites
    Just finished. I have to say, that was the best follow up...maybe ever. *drying tears*
    Likes:
    •The way it flowed right from the first book like one continuous story.
    •We get both Jake and Trudy's POV throughout the book, and you knew immediately where you were.
    •The couple faced real-life problems, but it never got to be too much where it was tedious.
    •The sex scenes were fuck-hot and numerous, with panty ripping!
    •Jake fucking Wethers. Yum.
    •Lots of fun witty banter with the band mates, and one line with a doctor that had me bust out!
    •It was a romance of soul-mates way more than a rock star book.
    •The connection I felt to the characters.
    •Jake was so desperate to keep Tru, she was so clearly the only one for him. Ever.
    •Tru's dad and Jake's relationship.
    •The realism of Trudy's insecurities.
    •Stuart. I loved Stuart!!!
    •No cheating.
    •An incredible ending.
    I had a a few issues with The Mighty Storm when I read it, though I still loved it. Mostly, there was cheating. But with Wethering the Storm, I had no such issue. Often a second book does not have that same feel as the first, that excitement of the couple meeting for the first time, flirting...wondering 'will they or won't they?' But Wethering the Storm had magic, intensity, deep enduring love, and reading the two back to back was a deliciously long and full experience. It never felt rushed, I ran the gamut of emotions and was left feeling completely satisfied, hugging my Kindle with a smile and tears drying on my face.
    Wethering the Storm">Wethering the Storm was the perfect end to Jake and Tru's story, and I'm curious and a little concerned to see where Samantha takes Tom's story (and his tattoo!) in the next installment.
    If you have not read this series, I highly recommend you jump on it!
    5 STARS!!!!
    I actually finished Wethering the Storm a few days ago, for some reason I stopped myself posting a review straight after finishing the book. Initially, I think it is because my first reaction was disappointment, and when I feel that after reading a book, particularly by an author I love to pieces (and I have a HUGE soft spot for Sam Towle), I want to get my thoughts and reactions straight in my head first before sharing them with anyone else on the various internet platforms. As such this review is a bit of an essay, but I wanted to get my thoughts out coherently.
    A little background on me - I have been reading books by indie/self published authors for a long time now, across all genres and formats, to say I have read the good, that bad, and the downright ugly would be an understatement, but if I have the compulsion to write a review (and I don’t all the time), I always want to provide constructive criticism rather than just belittle the time and effort that has been put into said work, whether it be good or bad, I understand that what I have read has usually had blood, sweat and tears put into it, and therefore should be afforded respect, no matter how much I like or dislike it.
    I particularly get a massive buzz, when I read that one of my beloved indie authors has been snapped up by a publishing house. It gives me immense satisfaction to know that I was there at the beginning, and I love following the transformation through to fully signed/published author. Seeing this happen for Sam, made me so proud for her and by extension all of her fans and the bloggers that have known for quite some time just how spectacular her writing is.
    However, I do think that when an indie author gets signed to a traditional publishing house, the expectation and pressure increases in the extreme. Bigger and better things are promised, and lead times for publication are stretched in order to build the anticipation and overall demand for the next book too officially release (particularly when it is part of a series). That being the case with Wethering The Storm, it has been almost 12 months since we first got too read and fall in love with Jake and Tru, and as soon Sam confirmed we were going to get more from them, the excitement and anticipation set in.
    By the time August 2013 hit, and due to the length of time in-between books, the Facebook and Goodreads teasers & promotional activity etc…..my expectations for WTS were exceptionally and quite frankly unreasonably high. In explanation, I think particularly over the past 12 months I have gradually lost sight of the fact that a lot of the books I have read and loved are from self published authors, and as such they were brilliant in the first place, hence the reason their talent has been recognized and they have been snapped up for their future work.
    I cannot then up my expectations for the author again when they were already pretty bloody good to begin with, and I was happy with what I had previously read, it just doesn’t work like that, and this is something that I think I need to remind myself of going forward. So that I can put aside the “hype” for want of a better word and judge the book, and its contents fairly. It’s like craving chocolate, and waiting for so long for a special bar that you think it’s going to be out of this world, but in the end it is still only chocolate, and should be enjoyed for that reason alone!
    I also went back and re-read TMS, as I think the long delay also brings certain disjointedness to the flow of the story, as WTS does literally pick up where TMS finished, so I highly recommend doing this if you haven’t read TMS recently. So, in view of the above I now am in the right place to put down my thoughts and feelings on this book.
    I am going to keep my review short as, I think I have taken up enough of everyone’s time with the above 
    I loved it!
    You get more Jake (the POV chapters are effing brilliant) Tru and the rest of the gang, and the all round mayhem that generally follows them around. The sex is ramped up in this book, but it is innovative, creative and just plain HOT!!!!
    Sam has provided what her fans asked for, and has given us the HEA for them that we wanted, that said, as in TMS there are a lot of thrills and spills along the way. The plot is pretty expected, but the writing is flawless, the characterization spot on, and the development of the main and secondary characters well executed. Whereas TMS was akin to being on a high speed rollercoaster, with the chance of picking up possible injuries on the way, WTS is more of a speedboat ride – fast, thrilling and likely to get you wet!!! There are also a few hints towards Tom’s book which I liked too.
    I have a few paragraphs from the book highlighted, but I want to finish off with a portion of my favorite conversation between Jake and Tru, because to me this epitomizes 100%, why I love Jake Wethers (and by extension Sam Towle) –
    Jake - “How’s it going?”
    Tru - “Not good. You are incredibly hard to write about, you know.”
    Jake - “But incredibly easy to love.”
    Tru - “Well, yeah, but that’s only because you have a big willy.” I joke.
    Jake - “Cock, baby. Call it cock, or dick. I’ll even swing for snake. But not willy. Willy just sounds so wrong, on so many levels.”
    Bahahaha!!! I look forward to Toms book, please god it is released in early 2014…
    Hey there is nothing more to say about Jake Wethers??
    WE LOVE HIM!!!
    I have to say that I expected sooo much more from this book. It was wayyyyy too predictable and sweeet!!
    Tru and Jake are a match made in heaven and when Tru was scared of the news she had, there was no doubt in my mind that things were going to turn out otherwise.
    Maybe its just me but this book had kind of a Reckless feel to it?!
    Don't get me wrong, I love Jake Wethers and he will be on my list of Rockstar boyfriends right under Kellan!!
    I loved LOVED The Mighty Storm. I loved Jake and Tru and their story.
    Wethering the Storm was:
    - Sex
    - Very little story. Anything situation that arouse was quickly solved.
    - Very predictable story to the very end.
    - Very little angst until you got to about 76% and that type of angst has been used so many times.
    It was disappointing.
    Exactly one year ago I was searching through my iBooks store looking for a pick me up book after countless failed attempts to get me over my FSOG high. So I figured I'd take a chance and bought The Mighty Storm, and boy did it change my life. I fell in love with all that was TMS, I fell in love with Jake and Tru's story so much so that it has forever cemented it's spot as one of my all time favourite books.
    Which brings us to here and now. Wethering the Storm.
    My Jake
    Tru
    This book picks up where we left off after TMS. Tru and Jake are on a mini vacation, engaged and eager to escape the pressures of the world that Jake lives in, but they are slowly sucked back into reality when Jake's needed back in LA. They try their best to work through their differences and especially the insecurities they have towards each other. But is love really enough?
    Ok so these are my thoughts of Tru throughout the majority of the book
    I mean come on...you have a man who is devoted to you and yet she always let her insecurities get the better of her?
    BUT thank jeebus for an amazing guy like Jake! Seriously best boyfriend ever!! No matter what he would always fight for her and he would prove that time and time again.
    All in all I abso-fucking-lutely LOVED this book. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I blushed but also I fell deeper in love and in lust for Jake.
    It was definitely the perfect ending to their less than perfect beginning!! ❤❤❤
    Before I go can I please thank Samantha Towle for creating such a perfect rockstar! You are amazing!!! ❤❤❤
