This second installment in the ShadowDance Club is a little better than the first, but the editing is still pretty bad. Not only were there inappropriate insertion of words, there was still some incontinuity in the story as in confusing the characters and who was in a scene and who wasn't.
Again, I liked the story, but I think the author needs to work on details and not glossing over some situations. Often the story seemed to be rushing to get to the next scene. -
Loved Colt and Jenna

Jenna and Colt have danced around each other for years. The attraction is there but something is holding her back. I have loved these books from the beginning and to see them with new covers and re-edited has been wonderful!

Once again a really interesting story is lessened by a fickle narrative. At many times throughout the story the Point of view changes in the middle of a section. Not a fan if this, it makes the story difficult to follow. The speaker should be consistent throughout a section.
Lots of side stories going on this time. So much drama to follow! Definitely leading you further into the series. A lot is put in place to hook you on the next story.
Again I felt there was much education about what a D's relationship is and how they work. Maybe a little too much, several points were covered in the previous book and did not need to be rehashed.
The characters were engaging and the story entertaining. The steam could have been more plentiful, it is erotica after all.
I didn't like the ménage element in this book, it felt too much like swinging. The guy who was a third already had a lady he was perusing and the scene smacked of cheating on his part.
I am also annoyed that the ladies In these books appear so independent and smart on the surface but completely disregard their safety. I mean come on it is monumentally stupid to wander around alone at night when you know there are bad elements out and about.
Regardless of my complaints I am hooked on the story and will move along to the next book in the series. -

Lots of intertwined storylines in this book. While the focal point is Colt Matthews, who is delectable by the way, and Jenna Lamont. Avery Gale has interspersed lots of tidbits of Alex, Kat and Zach along with introducing us to the object of Mitch Grayson's affections, Rissa. In addition Sheriff Dylan Marshall reconnects with the love of his life. Bad guys abound and none of the women are safe. Jenna must finally reveal an awful truth and Colt must convince her how truly serious he is about her. -
4.75 - really liked the multiple story lines / character views. getting a little tired of the writing errors as its starting to detract from the stories. (words misspelled, extra words added, words missing, wrong usage of past & present, etc) :/
