After tragedy strikes his team, college basketball coach Lucca Romano arrives in the haven of Eternity Springs to reassess his life. Even a winning record and big offers can’t dent the wall of guilt that Lucca has built around himself. Nothing can—except maybe a vibrant new neighbor who won’t give up on him.
Schoolteacher Hope Montgomery believes in miracles. She has to believe—because giving up would mean crumbling under the greatest loss a parent can endure. Hope understands Lucca’s suffering; she lives it herself every day. However, the high school team needs his coaching expertise, so she sets out to draw him from his cold, solitary shell and into the warmth of life in their small Rocky Mountain town. But when a weak moment leads to consequences that shake Hope’s faith, it’s up to Lucca to put aside his heartache and show the teacher that here in Eternity Springs broken hearts can heal—just in time for Christmas.
Miracle Road (Eternity Springs, #7) Reviews

Ah, Eternity Springs. This small, heartwarming Colorado town just makes you want to move there for the space of a book, curl up in its pages and let the characters solve all the world’s problems. MIRACLE ROAD was my first book in this series that hasn’t been a Christmas novel, so this was a bit of a change. Luca is a basketball coach haunted by a tragedy that occurred a few years ago while he was driving a bus on the way to a game. Hope is a kindergarten teacher who has been grieving for five years ever since her young daughter was kidnapped. I especially loved all the scenes with Luca’s big family in this one.

There are some series that are all fireworks and then there are comfort reads and series, which are there for you when you are in the mood and they are always good and that is what Emily March's Eternity Spring series is for me, the books are always good, the town people always welcoming and the main characters are always multi-layered.
Our main characters Hope and Lucca have been both through life altering changes, changes that have affected them differently, Hope is trying to make a new life for herself while Lucca is still stumbling and has come to town for his mom and his brother Zach.
The book was pretty good for me, it flowed, we see Hope and Lucca come together slowly, first in a moment of desperation and then form a friendship and something deeper. Was the book sweet? Yes and that is what I went in looking for and that is what I got.
The book in many ways was about healing and moving on and we see both Lucca and Hope come to terms with their past. I am so looking forward to Gabi's book.

Miracle Road by Emily March is 2013 Random House publication. I received a copy of this book from the publisher and Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
Hope is a kindergarten teacher starting over after her daughter, Holly, was kidnapped and she went through a divorce.
Lucca turned his back on his life and refused to ever coach or drive a van or bus again. He doing manual labor and trying not to think about the past.
When Hope and Lucca find they are neighbors the two them slowly form a friendship. Each of them believed they were not able to maintain a relationship with anyone because of thier troubled past.
But, with the help of some good friends and reaching into their own past and experiences they are able to help each other face their demons.
But, Hope also has to deal with an angry and bitter ex-husband who blames her for the kidnapping of their daughter. Even though Hope had allowed herself to open up to Lucca just a little and think that maybe she could start living her life again, a chain of events throws her into a tailspin causing her let her fears, guilt and pain rule over her heart and head. Will Lucca be able to help Hope believe in herself again and in Lucca?
The whole Ramono family is on hand to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas and maybe for Gabi, a very Happy New Year!
I read as many Christmas themed books as I can during the holidays. I'm not in the mood for Christmas romances in the middle of August. But, if you only read one or two Christmas books this year, be sure to make this one of them. This is the best new Christmas romance I've read so far this year.
There are a lot of life lessons in this book about dealing with tragedy and letting go of guilt and giving yourself permission to be happy again. While Hope and Lucca were the focus of the story, the secondary characters, especially Lucca's mom and sister Gabi also had stories out in the forefront. Gabi's story will most likely be the featured in the next book.
Overall this one gets an A+ -
Miracle Road is the 7th installment of the Eternity Springs series. The story is about Lucca Romano and Hope Montgomery who have each suffered tragedies in their lives. Lucca is a collegiate basketball coach whose life went on a downward spiral when an accident cost the lives of 2 of his players and paralyzed 1. He blamed himself for the accident and suffered from survivor’s guilt. He had a breakdown and decided to leave his lucrative career and beloved family to live a life of debauchery in South America.
As for Hope Montgomery, she has been ridden with guilt due to a decision she made which precipitated in the kidnapping of her daughter. But unlike Lucca, she decided to live her life and become a teacher with the dream of finding her daughter someday.
Meanwhile, Lucca was hauled from South America by his brother Zach and sister Gabi. He had to help renovate their mother’s recently purchased B&B. He meets Hope when the dog she was sitting for gave birth in his closet and bit him on his glorious butt.
Lucca and Hope bring their individual grief into the relationship. As a couple they experienced doubt, uncertainty, healing, forgiveness and love. And at the end of their story, they find redemption and new beginnings.
We also get to see characters from previous stories. I was especially glad to read about Jack and Cat’s one year old son Johnny.
I look forward to the next story which is about Lucca and Zach’s sister Gabi and a man named Liam.
I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. -
This romance ending during holidays was heart tugging but the relationship didn't seem realistic. Both main characters mood swings were too dramatic. It never seemed like they trusted each other even at the end. Coach Lucca is trying to emotionally deal with a bad car accident and schoolteacher Hope has a major tragedy in her past.

I had to grab the tissues at the end. So heart warming. 😅

In Miracle Road by Emily March we are taken back to small town Eternity Springs. After suffering a loss few can ever imagine, Hope now lives in Eternity Springs. She has pulled her life back together as best as she can and is working as a school teacher, something that brings her happiness. Although she has no family, she has lots of friends in Eternity Springs. It's been a long time since she's had a relationship, and it's the last thing she's looking for.
When Lucas, having suffered his own tragedy, comes to Eternity Springs to be with his family and try to find a way to move on from the path of self destruction he's been on, the last thing he expects to find is peace or Hope in Eternity Springs.
When Hope and Lucas first meet, Hope does not intend to spend time with her neighbour, even if he is so handsome... But slowly, with the stars guiding them, they spend more and more time together. Hope and Lucas gradually build a relationship, but it is one that will need honesty and trust instead of assumptions if it is to go anywhere. Hope and Lucas are both strong people, but they bring a lot of baggage that neither is too keen to talk about. To push forward from the past, they just might be what the other needs - if they can open up to one another and be honest to themselves.
Miracle Road by Emily March is another great installement in the Eternity Springs series. I loved the interactions between all of the characters, and especially loved that Emily keeps bringing back characters from past books in the series...enough that we can catch up with them, but never feeling like we've missed something if you haven't read the other books. The Romano family in particular I love 'watching' them together!
Lucas and Hope are both people who despite the problems they have experienced that few hopefully ever will, are an easy to relate to hero and heroine. Emily gives us people who could be your neighbours or your friend in her books and Miracle Road is no exception. An easy to get into and read book, Miracle Road has emotional highs and lows that will touch you and keep you glued to the pages.
Miracle Road is about healing, moving on, and miracles that I would recommend to any romance reader looking for a story that will make you feel involved. Although part of a series, Miracle Road can be read alone, but I highly recommend all of Emily's books in this series. I can't wait for her next book! -
Thank goodness for the preview in the back of the next novel letting me know the series isn't over because I just wasn't ready to say goodbye to Hope and Lucca. The only thing that could have made this book even better than it already was, would be the addition of a couple of more chapters at the end! Hope and Lucca are both trying to recover from two very different tragedies. While everyone is aware of the very public incident that changed Lucca's life forever, only one person in Eternity Springs knows Hope's pain. Five years previously, Hope's daughter was kidnapped. Ever since she has felt not only the loss but also for the blame. So while she is trying to move on herself, she sees that Lucca also needs to move on. Their common pain leads to a friendship and more. But can the two really find a future together without resolving their pasts? This was a terrific entry in the Eternity Springs series and I can't wait for the next one!

I dearly love series books. That being said it is hard for me to give each book in a long series of many books five stars. However for Emily Marchs Eternity Springs Novels I have done just that. Miracle Road is the seventh and it is in my top three....I hate spoilers so I will not tell many character details. But I will say that I loved it because it was more than a romantic read. It was funny, the characters were so real I felt like they had more than a few traits of my friends, the description of the town and its buisnesses is so entertaining! I enjoy how Ms. March brings in the characters of other books and leads us into the next with new faces. Makes me want to read the next one badly! The main characters in this book in particular are both dealing with huge issues in their pasts. They see the same desparation in each other. Its a must read!

Miracle Road was just as "heartwarming and heartbreaking" the second time around -- and left me just as teary at the end (in a good way.) You can read my original review

This had to be one of the happiest HEA I have ever read. I loved Lucca and Hope.
-
I liked this one.
Both fmc and mmc as usual have past baggage, these two more than most of the others.
Hope & Lucca
I really loved their dynamic
Hea
Little to no smut tho (unfortunate)

Still loving this series.

For Lucca Romano, arriving in Eternity Springs was just a pit stop. He was determined to numb himself to the point where one day blurs into the next. He just never anticipated the healing power of the charming small town or that his next door neighbor will get him to finally live again.
Hope Montgomery is determined to just keep living after the tragedy she endured as well as the break up of her marriage five years before. But when she meets Lucca, well sparks fly and these two wounded people find their way to one another. The holidays approach and it will take all the love and patience Lucca has to show Hope she is worthy of a second chance and a love that can heal her soul.
MIRACLE ROAD is a story about forgiveness, healing and friendship. It is about two wounded people who have experienced a loss so profound, both deals with it in a different way. Hope embraces living again, teaching and her small community while Lucca escapes into the bottle to numb his pain and guilt. Emily March delivers a story that will leave you breathless as you flip the pages to see what happens next. The story has moments of deep despair yet you can sense a lightness that comes across mid-way as Hope and Lucca find that love can be the most healing of power overall. MIRACLE ROAD is a book that has loss as well as new beginnings within the storyline. From a sub-plot with Lucca’s widowed mom to old friends having milestones, Ms. March delivers a story that touches your heart in many ways and you just can not help but fall in love with this magical town. Ms. March is a masterful storyteller who lets her cast of characters shine and shine they do in each of the Eternity Springs novels. They are well written, multi-dimensional and frankly, I want to go visit there just to meet these wonderful characters for coffee. It is a testament of a good writer when they can get the reader to fall in love with the characters and root for them all.
MIRACLE ROAD is more than man and woman meet fall in love and live happily ever after. It is about moving forward even as you try to move past adversity and pain. Hope and Lucca’s relationship is perfectly told, slowly building as they become friends then find they are falling in love with one another. The dynamic between these two just knocked my socks off and I, for one, was rooting for them to be together in the end. I really loved how Lucca dealt with his well meaning family and siblings, the parts with their mother had me giggling and I was thrilled to visit old friends from the past books as well. If you are looking for a cozy read on a cold winter afternoon, then grab MIRACLE ROAD and settle in for a long visit to Eternity Springs. I guarantee you won’t want to leave once you get there. Now the question is when is the next book out? -
Miracle Road An Eternity Springs Novel by Emily March
Enjoy reading this series so when another book became available I asked to review it.
Gorgeous cover tells the story. Lucca Romano had led the basketball team to its victory. The kids were doing it for the ones they had lost.
Lucca feels as if it's his fault and take it out on himself and tosses the check that was awarded to him.
Hope Montgomery in Eternity Springs has her own pain when March rolls around. We learn of her accident also but the town has helped to put her on the road to better health and understanding.
At the baby shower we learn of the comings and goings of the others in town. Love catching up.
Things are confusing for them as they assume things about one another. They each have painful pasts and many secrets.
Besides Lucca who will help his mother make the place into a B&B others in the family come to help but will it be enough?
Love lessons about the stars, so much to know. Loved hearing of the charity work and how the town comes together.
Hope called Lucca out on his past to help him see it was not about him... The GPS of Life. Caving is an adventure and I love how they help heal one another. There is also a bit of a mess with Lucca's mom that the whole family gets involved with.
Love how the book got its title and there is an excerpt of the next book in the series, at the end.
I received this book from Net Galley via Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine in exchange for my honest review. -
Hope Montgomery buries herself deep within the fabric of Eternity Springs. Staying busy keeps the demons at bay and Hope has no desire to dwell on the loss of her daughter, Holly, and the failure of her marriage. She is determined to be satisfied with teaching kindergarten and snuggling with her friends' children.
The peace and healing of Eternity Springs is lost on Lucca Romano. He is only in town because his mother, sister, and brother are convinced he should be. Lucca would rather be on a South American beach drinking himself into oblivion. The once successful collegiate basketball coach has never emotionally recovered from the bus wreck that destroyed the lives of the kids under his care.
Hope likes the Romano's, but she is not so certain about the newest brother in town. Her surly next door neighbor might be sexy, but he also drinks too much and seems to hate dogs. Then a night beneath the stars and an impromptu astronomy lesson causes Hope to wonder. When you peel back the layers of pain and suffering, sometimes you discover something truly beautiful.
There is something particularly human and stirring about Hope and Lucca. Readers will fall in love with the fundamentally flawed characters and buy into the almost supernatural vibe of Eternity Springs. Those who have enjoyed the other books in this series will enjoy a peek into the lives of more than one familiar couple as well.

Hope is Eternity Springs' Kindergarten teacher/bus driver/interim basketball coach. She has settled into Eternity Springs, and is trying to move on with her life as best she can. She's making friends and has adopted a dog (Roxy). Things are going as smooth as she can hope, until Lucca moves in next door.
Lucca is new to Eternity Springs and is only visiting to help his mother get her B&B up and running. His family may be in Eternity Springs, but he needs to keep busy, keep his mind on the accident that changed his life, and that isn't going to happen in such a small town.
After an incident with Hope's dog, Roxy, Lucca and Hope meet.....which is not off to a great start. However, the chemistry is undeniable and they can each sense that the other has something that they're holding back. Maybe they can help heal each other. After all, it IS Eternity Springs at Christmas. What more magical time and place for healing to occur?
I loved Miracle Road! I wasn't too sure about it at first, because it took me awhile to warm up to Lucca. After that, however, I flew through the book in one night, and I actually cried at the end (a happy cry). There are VERY few books that have actually made me cry, I can actually count them on one hand. Miracle Road is a heartwarming story that is perfect to read at Christmas time, or any time of year!!

In this latest trip to Eternity Springs, Lucca Romano returns home to his family and climbs out of the bottle. After a horrendous accident which resulted in two of his players dying and one permanently disabled, Lucca has turned his back on coaching basketball and come home to try to figure out his future. He meets his new neighbor, Hope Montgomery when her dog has puppies in his closet. As the parent of a kidnapped child, Hope has lived with her own tragedy and learned to survive every day. I liked that the relationship between them develops slowly and very low key until they are comfortable with each other’s history. As expected, there are backtracks and emotions run high but it all works out in the end.
I have really enjoyed this whole series and the Romano family has been a new part of the enjoyment. The byplay between the siblings is fun and adds a touch of humor. Maggie Romano, widowed matriarch of the family discovers a future in this book and gives her kids fits doing it. As in all series, part of the enjoyment comes from seeing characters from older books and catching up on their lives. Lucca and Hope are the latest characters that I will look forward to reading about in future books. I can’t wait to see what happens with Gabrielle in the next book- Dreamweaver Trail. -

I think this was one of my favorites to date. I just loved the courage of Hope. Her plow forward attitude after a horrible loss. Her encouragement and friendship to all who need it. Even through horrid memories build up and angry words assault her common sense, she always has that hand of hope out to all who need it. 5 stars. -

3.5*
I broke my cardinal role with this book and read it despite never having read any other books in the series (usually I make sure to read books in order) and I am glad that I didn't let the fact I hadn't read the previous 6 books stop me from trying this one. Although you meet a lot of character introduced in previous books, you don't really have to know anything about their backstory to enjoy this one.
This book was about two broken individuals who both suffered tragedies, finding each other and learning to love again. It was heartwarming and endearing. The only thing is . -
Two hurting people find each other and, in spite of their troubled beginning, find happiness. This story comes to a conclusion around Christmas time with its HEA.
This is the first book I've read in the series, so I would expect that people who've read the series from the beginning will know more of the characters and the town.
The Hero & Heroine are easy to like, and the relationships among siblings and their widowed mother is a secondary theme which is an appealing and thoughtful presentation of illusion and reality with respect to the adult children's views of their parents' marriage.
I won this book in a goodreads giveaway contest, and I'm grateful to the author and publisher for sending it to me. My review is not biased by the manner in which I received the book. -
I’ve just added a new author to my “must read” list! WOW! This book was terrific. There were a lot of characters but they were easily recognized and relatable. I stepped in at the middle of the series but wasn’t at all lost. There was steam but it was perfectly respectable and romantic. There was cursing but it wasn’t overdone or out of place. There was romance, fear, anger, and tears and I couldn’t put the book down for anything!
I must say — I’ll be searching out Ms. March’s books for some time to come! Thanks for such an awesome adventure.

What an absolutely wonderful, moving story by Emily March. She out did herself with this story of loss, love and healing in Eternity Springs. Lucca and Hope found each other through the hardest times in their lives and helped each other to heal from the tragedies that led them to healing of souls in Eternity Springs.. I give this book a 5+ Stars...
Can't wait to see what Emily March has for us next... -
Emily March has a blockbuster, I think, in this latest in her Eternity Springs series. It's a roller coaster of emotions for the two main characters, Lucca Romano and Hope Montgomery.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I'd rather live in Eternity Springs than in Virgin River!!

Really liked this one, Lucca and Hope were perfect for each other!

Emily's plotting pulled this star rating up :)
The miracle is Holly's return. Hope is her natural mother and Holly was kidnapped when around 5y (now 10y). Also, Lucca had some miraculous healing too--and Hope & her ex, Mark.
The Romano family is highlighted n this tale.
As I am reading this series out of order and with big time gaps .. I struggle with remembering this large cast of ES residents and angel blazon wearers!
My still remaining question is what does Max, the eldest Romano bro do? I suspect he might be in FBI ?

In Miracle Road the author pairs two people who have suffered traumatic experiences and struggle with their own brand of guilt over what happened.
Lucca Romano played professional basketball and went on to coach at the college level. His team was selected to play in the touted NCAA tournament. However, a horrible accident killed a couple of players and put another in a wheelchair. Lucca, trapped in the vehicle with these young men, had to watch them die and blames himself. His family, a very closely knit family, convinces him to come to Eternity Springs to recover and find out what he wants to do next. One thing he's sure of is that he'll never coach again.
Hope Montgomery is battling demons of her own. Once married and the mother of a beautiful little girl, she lost everything the day her daughter disappeared from off the face of the earth. Hope's mother-in-law backed out of babysitting at the last minute so Hope left Holly with her neighbor's nanny. Her friend had a little boy a few months old so she was sure Holly would be okay while Hope went to her hair appointment. However, when she returns to get Holly, no one answers the door and Hope can hear the baby crying hysterically. She gets the landlord to let her in and that's when she discovers her daughter is missing along with the nanny. After five years of searching she still has no leads but with the help of her friend, Daniel, a private investigator, she continues to try and find Holly. Hope teaches kindergarten at the local school and also coaches the basketball team. She's the only one remotely qualified to do so and also the only one apparently willing. Can you see the tie-in to Lucca here? Hope has an extremely talented player on the team and she knows she can't provide him with what he needs to succeed so she calls on Lucca.
I loved the way the author slowly built the relationship between them. As they got to know one another, feelings began to stir, more than just a casual interest. Although Hope knows what happened to Lucca's players, she doesn't know all the details. Lucca, however, knows nothing of Hope's past except she was once married. Hope, too, has taken significant steps to build a new life for herself in Eternity Springs while Lucca has no idea what he wants at this point in time. He's just hanging out with his brothers and sister while helping his mom open her new business, the Aspenglow Inn. He can't deny his feelings for Hope but tries to keep things casual because he's not planning on staying. Even so, he needs her. He feels different when he's around her. She challenges him and he's able to forget the past for awhile and just enjoy her company. And somehow she's gotten him to actually step into a gym for the first time in ages. His progress is like watching a baby take its first steps. He falters a few times but slowly and steadily he's starting to live again.
The way the author told this story kept me enthralled. You have the relationship between Hope and Lucca. Lucca's relationship with his family, and Hope's struggles with her ex, who usually shows up on her doorstep a couple times a year as he believes Hope really has Holly hidden away somewhere he can't find her. This makes for some very heartbreaking scenes. By the time I got to the end of this one all my emotions were engaged and I was crying. Of course everything works out in the end but boy did I enjoy the journey to get there.

Eternity Springs is a small town where wounded souls are healed and miracles happen. In this volume, a broken-hearted kindergarten teacher and a guilt ridden college basketball coach recognize the suffering of the other and vow to help relieve their pain. Five years ago, Hope Montgomery's daughter was kidnapped and not only does she blame herself but so does her ex-husband, who continues to harass her, believing that she has Holly hidden somewhere. While on a rare vacation with her sister, Celeste Blessing meets Hope crying on the beach and convinces her that Eternity Springs is the place she should be, a place where she would be welcomed by the townsfolk and find a new life and a home. Two years ago, Lucca Romano's team bus was in an accident and he lost 2 of his players and a third lost his legs. He continued to coach while suppressing the memories and guilt until one day he losses it, walks off his job and takes off to Mexico, having an emotional breakdown. His mother and sister, having recently relocated to Eternity Springs to be with their new found son/brother (previous books), convince Lucca to come to Eternity Springs to help their mother renovate a house she bought to turn into a bed and breakfast. Lucca and Hope end up being next door neighbors and as often happens in these books what starts out as animosity grows into friendship and love. These books are all beautifully written, with appealing characters and endearing plots. Best to read them in order. This one ends abruptly, but most likely it will flow seamlessly into the next installment.
