A
www...
And their time to shine together has finally come...
I'll be very short...
I effin love this couple!😊
And can't wait to see what has been installed for them in their future life together...
Damn, I sound sappy as shit...😂 -
There are no word to describe how much in love I am with these books, I sat and read it in 2 hours! And I'm glad the end of this book makes me less anxious to get the fifth one, I mean, I'm still dying to get the next one but I'm glad it wasn't a cliffhanger ending, the past 3 book I read them nonstop in 24 hours :P Also excited to read that upcoming book about Matias *sigh* since Sander is already taken....Can I get Matias, please? He's such a sweetheart ;) I hope he ends up with Chey's friend. Plus, I'm glad Chey is making friends with the other brother and his wife.
And Natalia poor girl I feel bad for her int this book hope she gets a book as well, would love to read what happens to her. -

What a lovely story and wedding. Yes, there was drama but it was so nice to see how Sander and Chey were able to stay strong and overcome whatever presented itself. I loved how Sander constantly displayed his love and devotion to Chey and surprised her throughout the book with various forms of affection, even down to bringing Chey's best friend Wynn to move in with him so Chey would have her best friend and family with her, forever. So touching.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series, which I have been told is Mattias' story. I can't hep but wonder if maybe he will find true love within Wynn..? Now the waiting game begins, again. -
Just awesome, the best so far in the series. Chey and Sander show us what dreams are made of.
-
Chey's journey has yet to slow down, even though the most dangerous threat is no longer present. New challenges, and precarious situations will test her abilities to her future position.
Surprising new enemies will shake the core of the Monarchy. And old agreements from the past will come into the forefront of the story. Creating tension and drama between all. Can they overcome yet, more obstacles standing in their path?
The wedding we have all been waiting for may be in jeopardy, Sander and Chey will be tested once again. At every turn this is a roller coaster ride, in each book the Author has spun a new web of deceit that will catch you off guard.
Fantastic writing, an ongoing saga that will attach itself to your very soul, you will be looking forward, anticipating each and every book, with a small nagging feeling that after book six? How will I be able to let this go? It’s emotional, real, and fascinating.
Most definitely one of my favorite series, it offers so much to the reader. A page turner, an all-consuming story line. Strong dialog, lite sex, intense scenes. And an incredible love story.
It will be difficult to tear yourself away from this. I’m reading it at lightning speed.

Didn't really enjoy this one like the other three. I felt deflated in a way. In the other books there was so much more action and angst that I was expecting to feel that same sort of high. But it was a bit of a let down. I liked not knowing what was going to happen the unpredictable element was lacking a bit in this story, nonetheless I enjoyed the series and look forward to other series by this author.

I started this book so long ago I'm ashamed and then I just put it down for no good reason. This series for whatever reason is a chore for me, even though it is truly a lovely read. I enjoyed this book just as I have the others. Sander and Chey are wonderful together. I was a little taken aback when I thought Mattias had died but all worked out well in the end. Another 5 stars from me and this series is definitely going on my bookshelf
-
I have to say that I was very disappointed in this book. I really liked the previous books, and where the story was going. This installment just seemed to wrap some storylines up too quickly while leaving others completely unfinished. I am glad to know there is going to be a fifth book. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that things with paavo, bashir & natalia come to a better conclusion.
-
Loved it! There is just something about the characters in this series that makes then each lovable. I hope that we will get to read more about Mattias and Wynn in future writings. Would also love to see Natalia get her own book especially after her opening up to Chey in this latest edition.

very cute series

Loved the story

OK it is official I am absolutely in love with this series. Just when I think it can't get any better, Danielle shows something new in this story.
I think it is pretty to safe to say that with 1 book left to read I am already sad and suffering withdrawals...
This book sees the culmination of Chey and Sanders love affair into a beautiful wedding that is without its drama. We see a nasty brother in Paavo with an agenda to tear apart Latvala, the gorgeous Mattias that is always Sanders right hand man, we finally got to see more of Wynn, Chey's best friend and ally, and to my biggest surprise, Natalia shows a new side other snotty little rich princess. Kind of a shame seeing I prefer to hate her.
With prince Dare, now seated as king of Latvala and Chey awaiting queen status after her marriage to Sander, more drama shakes to royal castle. Bastard King Askell all but sells out his daughter Natalia to a King in waiting of another country along with other deals in Latvala. Dare refuses to sell out his sister and therefore causes an issue to arise with Prince Bashir. Natalia struggles to deal with this information and breaks down and it is Chey that comforts her. At that point there is a new understanding between the women of the family seat, although it is Chey that rules it!
With the impending birth of the royal baby Chey finds everything starting to pull at her, from being told what to wear for her wedding dress, a interview that goes terribly wrong, and a near death car accident a special surprise from Sander sees Wynn show up for the wedding a week earlier than planned, Chey jumps at the chance to spend quality time with her best friend, making life a little bit easier for the transition of the wedding.
This book tally shows the love and affection that Sander and Chey share and the fact that Sander shows it freely in front of anyone whether it is staff of the castle family or at formal gatherings with important dignantries. my only ley down would be the way Danielle always cut the love scenes short. There is clearly huge chemistry between Sander and Chey but never once it gets up the bedroom ; (
never fear though the roller coaster of royal drama, action and family indiscretions will keep you on the edge of your seat right through this one all the way to the end.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, THESE LATVALA ROYALS!!!! -
Ok... I have got to say that I like this book best. I mean sure I'd does have less action, but the suspense, the conspiracy, the emotional roller coster elements are still there. The reason I Do like it best is basically cause we get more emotional interaction between Chey and Sander... More hugs, kisses, laughs and looking into each others eyes. I loved how the character of Nat is given more depth in this book and how She and Chey started crossing bridges...
I have to say, for an awesome author like Danielle Bourdon who takes 2-3 pages describing forests, castles, churches, balls....etc, she really sells us short on the love scenes. For a love that's as strong and as passionate as Chey's and Sander's I would of at least loved to read one full love scene...
Also I would have loved to read part of this story from Sander's perspective. The book is told in most parts by Chey, but some scenes when she's not around are sort of just told by the author.....we don't read any thing about how Sander perceives and fells about things since most of the time he knows how to control it around Chey.. It gave me the felling that after four books I still don't know Sander that well which is a total shame...
In general i Loved the book as a whole and if you have read the other three and your not hooked, then there is defiantly something is wrong with you -
It is no surprise to anyone who has been following the Latvala Royals series that the siblings of King Dare (other than Mattias) have been less than supportive of his choice in a bride. However, Gunnar and his wife have finally come around ad the wedding is bring planned between Chey and Dare.
Of course sister, Natalie is her usual unpleasant self and had threatened to make the wedding miserable if she is forced to participate. As usual Mattias steps in to knock some sense into her head but her attitude is less than bitchy. Younger brother, Paavo, shows us who he really is for the first time. He wants to devide Latvala up into two separate countries do he can rule. All if this happening while the wedding plans are taking place. Yet, there is another problem that is about to be revealed when an unexpected visitor arrives with a signed contract in hand revealing what a total jerk Dare's father truly was.
Once again the web of deceit an betrayal in this series is truly amazing. Talk about stress for Chey at every turn. Undaunted though, she proves she is worthy of the crown. I enjoyed "The King Takes a Bride" and the ending promises more problems for our favorite couple. However, I really want Mattias' story and soon! -
In this book, Chey and Sander are planning their wedding. Along the way, Sander encounters his first challenge as King with a dignitary from another country who wants him to uphold a contract he’d made with his father, the former king.
Chey has been working on wedding details and learning the ins and outs of being a queen and the language of the land.
A big surprise is Natalia. I have never liked her before, but this book gives a lot of insight into her character and makes you think twice of what you think about her. I really hope to see her turn around and be nice.
Also, Prince Paavo makes some trouble and you really want to just dump him on the other side of the planet so you don’t have to deal with him.
Of course, the wedding and Chey’s coronation as Queen happen and both are written beautifully. Very impressed with them.
Would I reread? Yes.
Series or stand alone? Series, I don’t recommend reading as a standalone, too much to confuse you if you haven’t read everything else.
Would I recommend? Yes
Book Hangover? Yes! -
I still think this series has too much drama - however, the story and people still draw me in. The King is dead - long live the King. Sander ist finally King of Latvala but nothing gets easier. He is about to marry his beloved Chey when an old contract his father made with another kingdom rocks the family. And as if this is not enough, one sibling gets powerhungry. Will there still be a happily ever after?
This was really a lovely story which I read in about 2 hours. I love Sander and Chey but I also adore Mattias. Good to see that there will be another book with his story. Wynn is also a great character. For me, the series started as an okay read but now I really like it. It got better with each book. Let's see what happens in the fifth and final book of this series. -
This one was disappointing. Not as much scandal and suspense as the last book. In this one I probably should have counted how many times the author used cheerfully and dias. Like really how many dias lounges are there in that friggin castle! I kept waiting for more excitement but instead I was treated to every girls fantasy dreams come true, a sweet man who does EVERYTHING possible that is thoughtful, all the royal treatment, having her best friend with her forever now and what do you know an heir! I think I will read the last book after taking a little hiatus from corny-dreamy land.
-
When I thought that Mattias had died in the accident, I was so mad. I literally cried. How cruel it would be to kill one of the main characters in the story - but then he came up the hill, alive! I was so relieved. So much emotion in a chapter.
Overall, this was a really good series that kept me up late at night reading - I couldn't put it down. I love how there was so much action and romance packed into one story.
The fourth book wasn't my favorite, but altogether, I'd give a 5/5 rating for the whole series. -
This is the final one for me. In this 4th book about Chey and Prince Sander you follow the pair as they prepare to marry. Sander is now King which means that the now pregnant Chey will soon be queen. I still enjoyed the pair of them and all the trials leading up to the marriage but this one was a little choppy for me. I do enjoy the authors style of writing however and I am likely to read more of her work. Nevertheless if you start the series you must get to at least this one. There is one more in the series which I will read at some point.
-
I am so happy for Sanders and Chey. Sanders is always there for Chey. It is like it know when she really needs him. They have a ever-lasting bond and love.
Gosh, I feel like I know them both.
Boy, do I just love these Royal Brothers, except for one.
I found the one scene between Chay and her soon to be sister-in-law very touching.
This is one of my favorites in this very entertaining Series. -
The King Takes a Bride is the fourth book in the Latvala Royals seriers. The reader finally sees the crowning of Sander and Chey as King and Queen of Latvala and as with the three previous in the same series, it leaves the reader wanting more. The book is romantic, adventurous, exciting, and has some emotional sadness, that was unexpected. I would love to think that the author intends to give us more looks at this family.
-
OK, this one was really good with all the court intrigue and family stuff going on! Still lots of editing issues that would normally detract from the storyline, but fortunately I was able to glaze over those, shake my head, and return to the story. Ms Bourdon does tell a good tale, and this is the first series of hers that I've read. So, despite the typos & horrendous lack of commas, I give her a 4 for the story & recommend she change editors.
-
This was was probably the shortest and most subdued on of the bunch so far. It was just all about Chey and Sander. A little bit of family strife and good baby news. I like it cause it was a change of pace, which the loving couple truly needed. The scandals were not so bad, so it didn't send your heart racing, like the other 3 books in the series before it. I'm definitely on to the next to finish up the series.
-
WOW, love this one. Each book is getting better and better and that is say something since I just loved the first book. This one starts right after the 3rd book. The chemistry between Sander and Chey is just perfect. It is like they are just meant to be together and no matter what outside forces try to keep them apart, it just isn't going to work. I have already started the 5th book and cannot put it down!!!
-
I know this series has been released a while but somehow I just found it!!
I read this first and then just had to get the rest of the series.
Danielle Bourdon has an great way of entwining a great thriller romance story with descriptions of beautiful scenery, details of a royal lifestyle and the reminder that the responsibilities of being a leader never cease!! -
FINALLY - it takes 4 books for Sander and Chey to get an ending that isn't suspenseful. I am still going to read the rest of the series but the end of this one gives us all a little breathing space.
Although the title gives away a few of the end surprises it still isn't always clear cut who will come out on top. I am really enjoying Bourdon's characters and the whole cast in this series is well defined.
So much more than romance, but the romance is good.
