Gone From Daylight Reviews

I've read this online a few years back, and it just... captured me. I plan to relive the experience, and I'm quite taken aback to find that this masterpiece of Mr. Comsie is yet to be recorded in Goodreads' database.
read this, and you'll get rid of the ruined image of vampires some books AND movies burned into your minds.
and learn so many new things about vampirism you (or only me) didn't expect.
like, vampires are no (actually, never) an entity that will go all sparkly when showered with sunlight. they will be destroyed by it, and some, in this novel do willingly chosen that path when they have acquired enough wisdom over the expanse of years they have lived.
or that some (very rich) people can stamp themselves as the no-no target for vampires as they provide the necessary funds for the night society.
or that there are people whose work is getting rid of the lifeless bodies left after vampires' feeding session. and they run around with powerful lasers and a very large refrigerator on their vehicles.
and many more.
oh, just know that this masterpiece also incorporates sexual scenes between boys. so... :)

This could have been a three-or-four star review. Instead it's only two stars, and that's for two reasons:
One. Get yourself an editor. Even a spell-check would have helped.
Second. Drop the spelling of "so" as "soooo" from your vocabulary. It doesn't help and it's annoying AF, especially since it occurs EVERY GODDAMN TIME you use the word. Sometimes multiple times in a single page.
That said, the story is a good one, tight and engaging. You could be a far better writer with a little editing -
I’m not usually into vampire stories. But, as a big fan of this prolific author, I fell in love with this story. This is the first in a continuing series of books that follows the lives and adventures of straight and gay teens who live secretively in darkness.
