"Me, Anja Evans, the new Elder of the West? Had I slid into an alternate dimension? What else was wonky here? Would someone bust in and announce a tornado full of sharks on the horizon in the next instant?"

Anja maintains her steady rise to power as she asserts herself as the newest vamp on the block in the world of political intrigue. Returning to England, this time as Elder of the West, to attend the first vampire Gathering held in over fifty years, she can't wait to see friends and foes alike. Not everyone's happy to see Anja again, but strangely enough, old enemy Simon Corley is the one who welcomes her with open arms. Will Anja find a new ally in the Warden of Vetis, or should she stop and count her fillings? Convinced she's over Bishop, will her resolve hold once she actually sees him, or will any hope of rekindling their love fizzle as soon as he opens his mouth? And what about Rob - can he truly keep those deep feelings bottled up inside, or will they spill out, especially when Anja's life is in danger?

Follow Me When the Sun Goes Down (Forged Bloodlines, #5) Reviews

I can't write a long review of this book because it really is just the continuing story of Anja and her life as a vampire, she takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

She is now the Elder of the West through almost misadventures and she still has some grievances to settle. I should say this is the best book of the series but I probably felt that way about the last book and the one before that one.

If you love cheering for the underdog, love unexpected surprises this is the book, you get a ton of romance and frustration in Anja's love life but she is a one of a kind heroine.

5 Stars and I am hoping she writes the next one soon as she did this one, it was beyond great.

NOTE: This is one of those gushing reviews I hate to see people write but it is late, I am tired but I had to finish this book, no way I could sleep until I was done. It really was that good. I went back and reread the last 20 pages a second time, I can count on 1 hand the number of times I have done that.

I think this is the book that sealed my fate of being Team BiRoJak...They all have the good qualities, they all have those things that make me crazy, but the good seems to outweigh the bad by far in all of them.
Anja is the Elder of the West, and she thinks she is over Bishop, (I highly doubt it), Rob is so yummy and stoic, he keeps everything locked tight inside. And Jakob is..well Jakob. There are a bunch of fun new characters to love in this book and the adventure keeps on and Anja is still my dream BFF. I need an Anja in my life, and love this series so much!

Of all of the Forged Blood books, "Follow Me When the Sun Goes Down" is my favorite. Anja has matured, become more confident as well as capable. She is no longer a little girl and is not afraid to go after what she wants or tolerate people who aren't brave enough to be with her including Bishop.

Our story begins with Anja being made Elder if the West. As such she must attend the Gathering in the last place she wishes to return. With Felix, Rob, Gunnar and the gang by her side she boards a private jet accompanied by a new acquaintance from Texas.

As the Gathering begins it becomes clear that someone is out to take down the heads of various countries. Anja is brutally attack but is whisked off to safety by none other than Bishop. He wants her to leave but she refuses to back down from a fight. As she attempts to uncover who is behind the attacks she and the gang will have to deal with more problems than they ever bargained for. The question is can they handle it?

One of my biggest challenges with this series has been Anja's lack of maturity and indecision in knowing who or what she wanted. This book solved those issues for me but now the future will truly shed light on whether or not she will be able to continue to hold her own. We can only hope!

Book 5...Holy moly...Lisa Olsen's Forged Bloodlines just gotten better!

Anja Evans is the new Elder of the West! She's just a noob and now she has the seat of power. What can go wrong with this? Plenty, thank goodness we have Rob back in the picture. Unfortunately, she and her entourage needs to head back to the Vampire Gathering in London.

More Bishop, more Rob, more vampire politics and more wonky adventures in the life of Anja Evans. Even though Anja isn't the norm for an urban fantasy heroine, she is true to herself and the people around her. She's a force to be reckon with, so don't under estimate this newbie, she's strong and her passion to pushing humanity back into the vampire society will get herself into a heap of trouble.

    A fun read!

Wode tian! My heaven is right, Anja Evans, progeny of Jakob Thorrsen (Thor's Son?). By far this is the BEST BOOK of Lisa Olsen's Kiss Me Series. FOLLOW ME, Book 6, gives a huge wallop to overload your sensory systems. The story is a whirlwind affair on 2 continents. New characters jump into the story while we learn new depths to old characters we have come to love and hate. I cannot write anymore because so much happened in Book 6, I just got to continue onto Book 7, HEAR ME. It promises to be a MUST goodread! -G

Seriously could not put it down. So filled with action. Trying to decide who to trust and who is trying to get her. So many twists and turns. There was so much happening in this book. I'm going to read it again. My favorite of the Series so far. Now I am in a conundrum. How to decide what Team I am on. Team Rob. Team Bishop. Or Team Jakob. They are all sexy Beasts. What are you waiting for. Get your copy today! From a true Fan... Pam James.

One of the best books series I read in a long long time. I can't wait for the next one to come out. Anja is a great strong main character! All to many times I read fantasy romances with whinny main lady's and Anja deff. is not that. Lisa Olsen has out done her self and I can't wait to read more of her works !

Another great book in the Forged Bloodlines series despite a rocky start. I wasn't sure I could deal with all the vampire politics this book but once they passed I was hooked! Finally the vampire world knows what a bad ass Anja is and finally she no longer has to live as someone else! Great editing as well. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!

  • Runningrabbit

This series is great! I get totally into it. Good characters, lots of problems. Life sometimes gives them hell and highwater. Good. This book has just come out, so now I’m going to have to sit on my hands till the next one. Sigh.

    Amazing

Action packed, full of suspense, betrayal, and romance. The characters shine in this series: Anya, Bishop, Rob, and even Jakob. I did not like Aubrey and can't wait to see what happens next.

The book cover has got to be my favourite book of all time because it has a nice gothic/angelic/fantasy look to the theme of the book. I give the book 5 stars.
