"Chris and I have faced our demons and bared our souls to one another in Paris. Now that we are back home in San Francisco, I want to believe that nothing can tear us apart. Not Ava’s accusations against me to the police, or Chris's fear that he will destroy me as he feels he did Amber. And not Mark, who was once too intimately a part of our lives, and who I can see crumbling inside out. He believes he is invincible, just as I want to believe Chris and I are invincible. We have to be invincible. We need each other too much for any other ending."

ABOUT IF I WERE YOU
How It All Started…
One day I was a high school teacher on summer break, leading a relatively uneventful but happy life. Or so I told myself. Later, I’d question that, as I would question pretty much everything I knew about me, my relationships, and my desires. It all began when my neighbor thrust a key to a storage unit at me. She’d bought it to make extra money after watching some storage auction show. Now she was on her way to the airport to elope with a man she barely knew, and she needed me to clear out the unit before the lease expired.
Soon, I was standing inside a small room that held the intimate details of another woman’s life, feeling uncomfortable, as if I was invading her privacy. Why had she let these items so neatly packed, possessions that she clearly cared about deeply, be lost at an auction? Driven to find out by some unnamed force, I began to dig, to discover this woman’s life, and yes, read her journals—dark, erotic journals that I had no business reading. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I read on obsessively, living out fantasies through her words that I’d never dare experience on my own, compelled by the three men in her life, none of whom had names. I read onward until the last terrifying dark entry left me certain that something had happened to this woman. I had to find her and be sure she was okay.
Before long, I was taking her job for the summer at the art gallery, living her life, and she was nowhere to be found. I was becoming someone I didn’t know. I was becoming her.
The dark, passion it becomes…
Now, I am working at a prestigious gallery, where I have always dreamed of being, and I’ve been delivered to the doorstep of several men, all of which I envision as one I’ve read about in the journal. But there is one man that will call to me, that will awaken me in ways I never believed possible. That man is the ruggedly sexy artist, Chris Merit, who wants to paint me. He is rich and famous, and dark in ways I shouldn’t find intriguing, but I do. I so do. I don’t understand why his dark side appeals to me, but the attraction between us is rich with velvety promises of satisfaction. Chris is dark, and so are his desires, but I cannot turn away. He is damaged beneath his confident good looks and need for control, and in some way, I feel he needs me. I need him.
All I know for certain is that he knows me like I don’t even know me, and he says I know him. Still, I keep asking myself — do I know him? Did he know her, the journal writer, and where is she? And why doesn’t it seem to matter anymore? There is just him and me, and the burn for more. -
It's been a little time since I stepped away from the 'Inside Out' series. Sometimes too much of a series in a row can spoil what was a good thing, so I decided to take a break from the series for a bit. I'm glad that I did, but perhaps I should have stayed away a little longer.
I liked 'No in Between', but it didn't hold the same appeal for me as the beginning of the series did. It was okay, but I couldn't seem to make myself care all that much anymore. I think my love for this series has finally fizzled out.
This book has Sara and Chris returning from Paris to face Ava's allegations. Once again, there are questions that come up about Rebecca's disappearance and who is really responsible. I thought that chapter had been closed when crazy Ava confessed, but nothing is ever that simple. It appears that she had help and there are plenty of suspects.
Meanwhile, Ava is doing her best to redirect the spotlight onto Mark. As his world implodes, Mark becomes unusually detached from his business dealings and those around him. Sara is determined to help him, but does not know how to get her control-freak boss back on track.
Just as Sara and Chris seem to have everything in their relationship straightened out, a tragedy threatens to send Chris into a downward spiral. While I expected the worst, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how things played out. I expected a repeat of the angsty, on-again/off-again cycle that these two are known for, but things didn't work out that way this time.
Overall, it was a good story. I continue to like Sara and Chris. The mystery surrounding Rebecca's disappearance, as well as Ella's, continues to pique my interest. Unfortunately, there was not enough new information on either of those fronts to make me ecstatic about this book. In the end, it was just "okay" for me. -
I swear to God, if this Rebecca chick isn't dead, I'm going into fictionland and killing her myself. I'm on book four out of five (plus a million novellas) and yet the mystery of "where is Rebecca?" persists. If I hadn't been so trigger happy and one-clicked this whole series after loving the first book, I'd have already DNF. One more book left. You better believe I'm reading it. Where the f*ck is Rebecca?????
No in Between is the fourth installment in
Lisa Renee Jones's adult romance/mystery series titled Inside Out. The books must be read in order as they are an ongoing story. Yes...ongoing... -
4 No Secrets Stars
Sara and Chris, are closing their chapter in the story that is more about the disappearance and apparent murder of Rebecca a woman known to us only by her diary entries but still the main hero in this series of books. She brought everyone together and tore them apart. In this book, more so than ever.
This chapter is about pleasure and pain. And the trust that comes when you have laid your soul bare in front of the other and he accepts it. Flaws and all. Because it's the other half of his.
So, Sara and Chris return from Paris, in the middle of the still ongoing murder investigation, fragile but strong. They grow and mature in their relationship which is beautiful to watch and erotic to read.
But nothing is really over. The mystery and suspense is still strong and there are threats in every corner. Nothing is what it seems and by the end you will question EVERYONE!
I enjoyed this book more than the previous one because there was no second-guessing and hesitation. It moved rapidly and allowed no breath. I liked it so much that despite my mini-rant about trilogies and three books (see my review for book #3
here) I just need more Sara and Chris and control.
A last warning. We still need some answers. And I am looking forward to Mark's book and hopefully more Chris and Sara to get them!
Waiting for the release...

A SPOILER-FREE REVIEW
I was quite excited to receive an ARC for this as I started this series a month ago & LOVED the first book! It captivates you from the beginning with the mystery surrounding Rebecca's journals and the erotic entries she has written about her affair with a dominating & controlling man ;)
Sara, initially a high school teacher with a passion for art, ends up on a mission to unveil the truth behind Rebecca's erotic penned thoughts. She traveled to the art gallery where Rebecca last worked in hopes of finding her but to only be stumbled upon by the owner of the place & Rebecca's boss, Mark. Being rather impressed by Sara's knowledge on art during an event one night, Mark hires her for a summer job in the gallery. In the same event, Sara also meets Chris Merit, a fellow artist whom Sara has long admired his paintings. Soon enough, they embark on a passionate affair & there were some really scorching hot scenes!
Throughout the series so far, we have learned a lot more on Rebecca, the circumstances surrounding her disappearance & the people involved in this entire scheme. And what I truly enjoyed about this series is that Lisa has managed to keep the readers on the edge and guessing on everyone's motives; "Who are the actual good guys and the actual bad guys?". I have so many theories but alas, the truth about Rebecca has yet to come to light as we finished the 4th book. Talk about the amount of plot twists going on O__O
However somewhere along reading the series, the 3rd and 4th book has began to fall short of my expectations. The mystery was dragged out a little far too long & I felt it was all too anti-climatic when we do get some answers.
The only part I enjoyed reading is mostly the dynamic between Mark, Chris and Sara as they each try to deal with their own emotional struggles alongside finding out the truth about Rebecca.
Overall, No In Between felt more of a filler book to me in this series. The first 70% for me was just a whole lot of talk & I was only enticed during the last 30% where I finally felt some progress in this entire mystery!
And did I mention that Book 4 ends in a cliffhanger?
Lastly, I would recommend that this series be read once it's actually completed to avoid frustration for answers & to have a clearer picture of the timeline of events. I found myself having to go back to earlier books to recall some stuffs.
Final Note: Another instalment in the series that will still keep you wanting for answers & guessing every person's motives, Lisa has done it again! - 4 stars
In other news, Book 1 of the series is on sale ($1.99) on Amazon!

I was given this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest and thoughtful review.
It's so amazing how a reader can be swept up into a book, LRJ has a way of doing that through her descriptions in her stories. Not only was I swept up but I was swept into this book, the words flowed through my mind creating their own voices in my head as I read them silently to myself all while vividly seeing every thing unfold. LRJ never disappoints with this series and at this point I wouldn't expect her to. Every book is better than the last and exactly my cup of tea. I love that this book focused a lot more on the mystery and how LRJ brought the romance, the hot dirty kind that takes you to that dirty place lol into this story. I love the growth of Chris, I know I say that all the time, but seriously this book showed alot of growth for him. He continued to help Mark even knowing how he felt about Sara, he was there for her emotionally and physically whenever she needed him even at times when she felt like she didn't need him, he gave so much of himself to her in this book and I adored him for that. He showed her what no in between really means by showing her she was all he needed. Chris made this book for me and it wasn't even from his POV! Now even tho Sara made excuses for Mark treating her that way, she stood up for herself and for Chris not only to Mark but anybody who tried either one of them. I love that she was snappy in this book, it showed that she wouldn't just lay down and let people run over her! I loved that when she messed up something with Chris she didn't wait to fix it, she did it right then and there. My highlight of Sara had to be when Chris really needed her, she gave him exactly what he needed. Ladies be prepared to be left in an oh-em-gee state of mind, I know I was, especially with what happened in Marco's =)
" It's my turn to save him. "
" It reminds me of why we connect, why we are those missing pieces of a puzzle that have found a perfect fit. No matter how perfect his being imperfect makes him to me, he will never see himself as I do. He will never feel he is not flawed. He will always need me to be his eyes, and he is mine. "
" But now our blank canvas is inked with colors, not fears, and love has blossomed where there was once only passion. "
" I'm falling apart, the lyrics say. I'm barely breathing. I'm not falling apart, but as Chris steps behind me, his heat radiating through me, I am definitely barely breathing. "
" He owns me and there is no part of me capable of denying him that claim. No part of me that rejects it or believes it to be untrue. There is simply only what he can take from me. My submission. "
" He's accused me of enjoying his control, and he's right. I not only like it, I crave it, freely offering him the submission I would never consider with anyone else. "
" I've taken things slowly to protect the trust between us, but we're ready for what comes next, and I'm going to push you and push you hard. I'm going to tear down every inhibition you own until I own them. I'm going to make you crazy wondering what will be next and even crazier when it comes. I'm going to take you to places you think you can't go, and find out you can. And when you say ' I do ' to me, there won't be any doubts or any barriers left. "
" Give me your heart and soul. And I'm not breaking down, I'm breaking out."
" If you keep looking at me like that, " he promises, " I'm going to say ' f--- the gallery ' and take you home and f--- you. "
" I'm on overload, and the only ' more ' I can take is the kind of ' more ' only you can give me. That place you take me that leaves no room for anything but you. I need that. I need you. "
" Showing up naked is an invitation to get f------, Sara. "
" It is this part of Chris that really gets to me. The man who is a contradiction to himself, who can spank me, but worries over my tiniest discomfort. The man who can order me around, but asks how I feel about everything. I don't know how he achieves such a delicate balance, but its why I can not only be bound, naked, and blindfolded, but I do so fearlessly. "
" I don't know where he begins and where I end, but maybe that's the glory of who we've become. We begin and end together. We're a puzzle that fits perfectly together, where we fit nowhere else. And right now were seeking peace in the only place we know to look-each other. " -

The fourth in the Inside Out erotic romance series by New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones, this steamy novel resolves Chris and Sarah's relationship and leads into Mark's story.
"Chris and I have faced our demons and bared our souls to one another in Paris. Now that we are back home in San Francisco, I want to believe that nothing can tear us apart. Not Ava’s accusations against me to the police, or Chris's fear that he will destroy me as he feels he did Amber. REVIEW: NO IN BETWEEN is the fourth full length novel in Lisa Renee Jones’s contemporary, adult INSIDE OUT erotic romance series focusing on artist Chris Merit, former school teacher Sara McMillan and gallery owner Mark Compton. NO IN BETWEEN is the continuing story of Sara and Chris who have returned from Paris only to face the authorities who are investigating the disappearance of former gallery assistant Rebecca Mason. While fingers are pointed in their direction, Sara begins an investigation of her own.
NO IN BETWEEN is a storyline that reveals the slow breakdown of a once proud man. Rumors, innuendo, gossip and spurned lovers take aim at our trio in an attempt to get to the truth about what happened to Rebecca Mason and put into motion a series of events that will focus on the one man who has everything to lose.
Lisa Renee Jones keeps the reader in suspense with the deliberate and sensual exposure of secrets and lies. No one is safe; everyone is a suspect; and in the end betrayal and revenge will begin to unfold. The INSIDE OUT SERIES will pull you in and never let go.
NO IN BETWEEN is not a stand alone storyline. The series must be read in order.

Chris and Sara have returned to San Francisco after facing their demons while in Paris. Chris has nothing more to hide from Sara now that he's fully exposed his past to her. But even with the demons of the past laid to rest, their future still remains uncertain. Rebecca's still missing. Ava's been arrested, but her confession is soon reversed as she tries to pull everyone into a scandal of a story that ties their lives into one wicked web of deceit, sexual kinks and jealousy.
Although this story is told from Sara's point of view and mostly focuses on her relationship with Chris; Mark is making a return to the story line as his guilt over Rebecca threatens to swallow him whole. Mark's battle with keeping his ill mother in the dark, the need to be in LA to stay on top of the investigation and the longing to be in New York with his mother as she battles cancer... it is all becoming too much for Mark to take. But No In Between creates the perfect lead in to the next book (and novella) where hopefully we'll get some closure to Rebecca's disappearance and get to watch Mark return to his domineering ways.
I had slowly started withdrawing from this series. The edge that it held in the first two books, for me, felt like it had dulled. The sharpness of the story began to return with this installment. The suspense of who is responsible for Rebecca being missing, Ella still not being located and the numerous players that continue to change their stories. Lisa Renee Jones is weaving one heck of a web and there is no doubt that these books would make one amazing cable series.
LRJ's writing has always been stellar and she's done a brilliant job never giving you too much of this story at once, leaving it completely unpredictable. I look forward to watching the mystery being solved and for Mark to gain some of his control back. The hint of the man he was in the first book still has me in love with the possibilities for his character. Hopefully he'll gain some of that control back and find a way to come to terms with what happened to Rebecca, so we can finally get the story of THAT man rather the the broken Master we've gotten to know.

***ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest opinion***
I have followed the Journey of Chris and Sarah for a few years now, witnessed the highs and lows and was so happy to see their relationship reach a certain point at the end of book 3, with nothing hidden from each other. I started No in Between with apprehension, fearing for their relationship and that they will waver under pressure- however I was soon swept up in the story and all it entails, the romance, the lies, the suspense and the quest for answers.
This book keeps us on the edge, not knowing what to expect next. The protagonists' thoughts take us on a journey that is a mix of turmoil, uncertainty and hope. While we get some answers, more questions arise. To say I want book 5 NOW, is an understatement.
We start this book with Sarah and Chris returning from Paris, to face the storm brewing as a result of the events from earlier books. Chris is the same man we met in the previous books, facing his inner battles- but this time, with no secrets from Sarah. There was a moment where I feared for him, where I wondered whether he'll break down and not be able to conquer his inner demons.
Chris wants to do everything in his power to protect Sarah, he is still hell-bent on being the best man he can be, for her. Sara's trust in Chris never wavers, neither her love for him. I love this
"Chris is my shelter. He is my strength.”
“I knew it was all or nothing with you; no regrets.”
“No in between,” I whisper."
We get to see more of Mark, his inner battles and I just wonder how he'll be able to conquer them. Mark has always been one of my favourite characters alongside Chris and this hasn't changed after reading this instalment. There are so many hidden layers beneath the façade he presents to the world, being revealed bit by bit- I'm loving every one of them. I cannot wait to see what
I Belong to You has in store for Mark. I will be looking forward to everything being unveiled and seeing closure for Rebecca, to Mark finding peace and hopefully his HEA, as well as more of Chris and Sarah.
The epilogue was just evil, talk about a twist!!

I loved it!! Chris and Sara are back in San Francisco and still dealing with the fall out from events before and during their trip to Paris. In many ways, their relationship is so much stronger than it was before. They are more committed and Chris is more open and honest with Sara. Dealing with the police, press, and the upcoming trial, all highlight where they are and what aspects of their relationship still need some work. Overall, I love how their relationship progressed throughout the book!
There were a number of surprises as well. More of the story and relationships unfolded as Sara, Chris, and Mark learned new information, but there is still a lot of questions that remain unanswered. I can't wait to find out what happens next!!
I would definitely recommend this book and the series! I would highly recommend reading this series in order so that you have a better understanding of the events, characters, and relationships.

In endings there are beginnings…
This is the fourth book in the Inside Out Series and should not be read out of series order. This book begins after the events in His Secrets which are synopsized in the prologue.
Chris and Sara have survived the events in Paris, now an even stronger couple as they head back to the states to deal with the repercussions of Ava’s actions. But there is more to come for this couple to deal with. The past still haunts Chris but his love of Sara and her support enable him to admit and face those demons, the ticking time bomb that is inside him is no longer hidden. Sara is a woman ready to fight to save the man she loves, as he has saved her and we all know that turnabout is fair play.
The investigation into Rebecca’s disappearance and Ava’s confession continues; the police along with Walker Security are still seeking answers when Chris and Sara return. Their escape to Paris having been seen as escaping the jurisdiction but which for them was a respite to gain strength to combat the attacks on their reputations and innocence. Along with Mark, Chris and Sara have to deal with the hounding of the press as well as the police, protecting themselves with legal means and other methods that their money gives them access to. The gallery is in turmoil and Mark is tormented by the loss of Rebecca and by his mother’s fight with cancer, not being able to be with her as much as she needs him to be. And so the stage is set for the action and suspense to continue. Some threads are tied up and new ones are started. There are threatening forces still at work in the background and a number of surprises to make the reader gasp and keep turning the pages. This series flows so well from book to book.
No In Between provides answers to the mystery of Rebecca and is the resolution for Chris and Sara, there is no denying that they are one and that there is no in between for them; together they can and will handle what life brings them and in their love they have each found healing, in their two imperfections they have found perfection. "I don’t know where he begins and where I end, but maybe that’s the glory of who we’ve become. We begin and end together. We’re a puzzle that fits perfectly together, where we fit nowhere else." This reader feels good about where we leave them and is looking forward to their wedding. The next story is of Mark and Crystal which we have already begun to see though more so in the companion novellas which are excellent reads and I do recommend them.
I love how excerpts from Rebecca’s journals continue to be shared throughout this series. Though she is gone she has been the catalyst to all that has happened to these characters, she will always be a part of their lives and they owe her so much “But her words were also what gave me the courage to seek out a dream that led us to each other.” I often wonder what she would think of what is happening.
I totally love this series. It’s filled with such awesome romance and suspense and a storyline that just doesn’t quit. The characters are compelling, you don’t forget them after you’re done reading.

5 Stars in the erotic suspense and romance genre. I highly recommend this to readers of the Inside Out series.
This is an all too quick read. Why? The story flows so well and you will find yourself unable to walk away for any long breaks. Therefore, I caution you to plan a day to immerse yourself in the story. I think it is a good plan to read His Secrets and My Hunger beforehand, just to have more context to what’s going all in the minds of our 3 main characters, Chris, Sara and Mark.
This installment in the Inside Out Series contains more twist and turns, more accusations from resurfacing characters, and much more drama. And did I say twists? You will find yourself starting to doubt what you think you know about the storyline and where it’s going, and that I will attribute to Lisa’s wonderful writing. The story is set in a period of about 1 week, and told from Sara’s POV. It also includes a few snippets from Rebecca’s journals adding to the intensity of why we are reading the story in the first place.
Confronted with the possibility of bad press and police interviews, Chris and Sara return to San Francisco from a week in Paris. In addition, they face that little issue of the possibility of Ava’s bond release from jail. These circumstances only increase their dependency on each other and we really see their bond grow. Something deep-seated changes between them. Chris is gaining more ground with Sara and both are learning that building trust in each other, the giving over to each other trust, is the road to their happiness. Most of what we see of Chris is his jumping in to do damage control and performing as Sara’s well-loved protector. Sara does not always make that easy and when old demons resurface and Sara battles a sort of PTSD, we do see a new side to Sara. As a character, she becomes even more likable. Her compassion for Rebecca and Ella remain at the center as she continues to battle for the truth. For attention to the issue of two missing women.
We do not see a lot of Mark in the book but Mark does not have to be in every scene to have profound impact. The futures of many of the characters ride on Mark’s decisions and he is definitely not in the right place to make any decisions. New characters are brought in, old ones come back to wreak havoc on his life. This extreme pressure begins to cause Mark to disengage from his world of art and his lifestyle is at great risk. When Mark lets loose on some truths causing further issues for Sara and Chris, he becomes a little less likable. Sometimes it is just hard to root for him, but we watch as Mark’s self-loathing becomes deep-seated anger and we are reminded that his grief over Rebecca is genuine.
The plot, the dialogue, and the sensual writing are all amazingly demonstrated making this a definite 5 star read. This is series and it would not be right if we were left without a cliffhanger. This is not a standalone, you must read the series, but I can guarantee you will not be sorry you did. -
I was given a ARC in exchange for my honest review.
So I read this straight through after My Hunger and I did not put it down. I am sitting here still in shock and like OMG WTF LISA!!! how can you do this to us yet again lol!?
Wow. And now have to wait until the next book!! EEEEE!!!
We pick up from where My Hunger leaves off. Chris and Sara are returning from Paris and they are in for a ride. SOOOO much happens in this book! GAHHH I cannot even really give anything away because I cannot ruin it for everyone. But Lisa does NOT disappoint yet again. We see all our favorite and beloved characters going through so much turmoil, drama, mystery and so much more. This was a roller coaster of crazy. I found myself gripping my seat and yelling on numerous occasions. ESPECIALLY that end!!!! I have soo many conspiracy theories it isn't even funny.
And Chris and Sara go through so much crap I cannot wait for their wedding. These two deserve a happily ever after. And Mark and Crytsal... damn... again I have many theories in my head.
I am still speechless. It was amazing and everything I hoped it would be and more. You MUST read this crazy and intense book, you will NOT be disappointed.
I eagerly await the next installments and novellas :-) -
Give it a rest! This series should have been wrapped up in 3 novels. After Rebecca's Journals, the story could have been told in 3 novels. It is just being dragged out with gratuitous sex scenes and side stories that complicate but do not add to the story. There is a trend, I don't know if it was thought up by the author (although I would prefer to think not), the publisher (who I would prefer to blame) or both in cahoots (the most likely) to drag stories on and into more and more volumes. Sometimes into three, unnecessarily padding what should have been a one volume tale or in this case unnecessary padding what should have been a three volume story into what is it six? I have lost all interest in how this comes out. I am now heartily bored with these people. I no longer care what happens to them.
-
Ricco Alvarez'in ölüp gitmesini istiyorum.
Mark'ın başına bir şey gelsin istemiyorum! -
What happen to Rebecca? Is Ava going to pay? How about Amber?
No In Between picks up immediately after His Secrets. Sara and Chris return to San Francisco to deal with the turmoil of Rebecca's disappearance. We also get more of Mark and Crystal and their relationship. This book brings in the other citizens of the Inside Out world together including the Walker Brothers from the Tall, Dark and Deadly series. They are also new colorful character to love (and love to hate) Their chemistry is exciting!
Once again, Lisa Renee Jones keeps us spellbound and on the tips of our toes! Finally, the questions we have been asking are answered in No In Between but we still want more! -
I received an ARC of this novel for an honest review.
This is book four in the Inside Out Series by Lisa Renee Jones. Oh my G-d! Where to begin! So many things happen. People are not who they seem. Nothing is simple or exactly clear. I thought I had everything all figured out. I was so wrong!!!! Read this novel to learn the next chapter in the Inside Out series. -
Chris and Sara just got back to San Francisco from Paris.
The police need to speak to them again - because as we remember - Ava retracted her confession and is now blaming everything on Sara and Mark.
Now they have to proof that Ava killed Rebecca.
And the whole Rebecca disaster is not the only problem Sara and Chris have to face.
There's still Chris's dark side. We saw in Paris that whenever something really bad happens he feels the need to be whipped to survive all those dark feelings inside of him. And now he's scared to death that Sara will not be able to handle another of his 'episodes'.
But Sara believes she is stronger than he thinks. She will not leave him - no matter what.
He's her future husband. Nothing he does could make her leave.
He is power and control.
He is pure male domincance.
He is my future husband.
Then we also have to deal with the Gallery, because Mark kind of gave up on it - at least that's how it seems. He's in New York at his mom's hospital bed. And he had his mom's protegée Crystal take over both the New York and San Francisco businesses.
But Crystal is totally overwhelmed with too much work, so she begs Sara to take over in San Francisco.
Then Mark shows up in San Francisco.
And even though he's still his dominant rude self, he's all broken inside. His mom's illness, Rebecca's disappearance, having to take care of both the east and west-coast businesses, and all the rumors about his sex club going around in the press.
Sara feels she has to do something to help him - but she has enough to do to save herself and Chris.
Plus he doesn't want to be helped - he constantly sends her away - with all his rude and sexual charm.☺
Then we have our very sexy Sara & Chris moments again.
But.... there still are lots of problems to overcome until everybody can get their happy ever after...
What will happen to Sarah & Chris?
Will there be a HEA?
What about Mark?
Will everybody die at the end? o.O
Or will there be a horrible Cliffhanger?
I'M NOT TELLING YOU THAT OF COURSE... ☺
l don't want to spoil anything ☺
OK - I might tell you that Mark & Crystal will get another Novella next and then their own full length novel:
I Belong to You so - we'll see them again☺☺☺ and of course we'll meet Sara & Chris again too - there's still a last book left - Valentine's Day 2015!!! ☺

AMAZING BOOK!!!
YAY ☺ I missed Sara & Chris & Mark soo much *happydance*
I LOVED this book!
With Sara and Chris getting enganged we kinda had an ending already for them - but the story is far from over. There's still so much left to tell - so much left to overcome - mostly on Chris's side.
This book - had EVERYTHING a great book needs:
SEXY / EROTIC SCENES
SUSPENSY SCENES
MOVING SCENES
FUNNY SCENES
ADORABLE SCENES
I loved how Sara & Chris are so secure in their love this time - there's no real drama about her running away or him pushing her away. They know there will be hard moments with Chris and his darker side and with Sara and her anxiety attacks and of course with the Rebecca & Amber problems - but they love each other too much to let anything get in the way of their happiness! ♥
I loved how the Roses on the cover have something to do with the story.... ☺
Ugh, but poor Mark - I felt sooo bad & sad for him in this book.
I wanted Crystal to come and make him happy (Ok - I wouldn't have minded going to San Francisco myself to give him a 'cuddle' ☺)
- but we'll have to wait a bit longer for Mark's next 2 books. Can't wait! He so deserves to be happy again after everything that happened.
And we finally find out a bit more about what happened to Rebecca - but this whole story might not be over after this book... ☺
If you loved every book of the Inside Out series - just like I did - you will LOVE this one too ----->>> GO GET IT ☺
Now I can't wait for the next books!!!!!!!
And, can I please have the Inside Out TV Show on my TV tomorrow??? And can it please be a daily thing? Because I want/need to stare at (naked) Chris & Mark all day long!
-
I got an ARC of this book and I am so freaking excited!! I really don’t know how I got so lucky I mean
This is Chris and Sara's story when they return from Paris ..
We have to be invincible. We need each other too much for any other ending
I will soon be Sara Merit instead of Sara McMillan..... He's saved me many times over. It's my turn to save him
Remember what we said in Paris...no secrets..no inbetween AHHH i love when they announce the title ina book/movies
Dress to impress yourself, undress to impress me "
Fifty Shades of Prince Charming (About Ryan...then about Chris) I love this phrase
Thats what we do baby. We catch eachother
I love this serious wholly because every character is so strong nad their presense draws you in and keeps you in. There are no lulls in this series and as the series goes there are more and more twists in the situations. There are so many players that I am addicted.
I am still in love with Chris as the broken, sexy and amazing man that he is. I love hearing his thoughts in song lyrics. Chris is still and will forever be my book boyfriend.
Im sorry that I couldnt get to you
Mark consumes my thoughts in every line of this book and hes hardly in it. Chris dances with my heart and emotions and I just wanna punch Ryan for reasons unknown.
I dont need the whip..I just need you
This series never stops throwing wrenchs..this is the sexiest game of Clue I have ever read/played!!! I cant wait for more! -
Wow! My heart is still catching up with my head after reading No In Between. Honestly,I am still reeling from all the truths and secrets that are exposed in this book. Review to come........
Amazing job and well done, Lisa a Renee Jones!
Thank you, Lisa a Renee Jones , for the ARC!!
No In Between
Lisa Renee Jones
I give this 5 stars.....
This ARC was given by Lisa Renee Jones in exchange for an honest review.
Sara and Chris decide that nothing will become between them the day he proposes in Paris. As much as Sara wants to believe this promise, she can't help but fear Chris will need the whip again. On their return to the states, both of them are still possible suspects in the disappearance of Rebecca and fear Ava will be released and come after Sara. The legal issues, the downward spiral of the art gallery, Sara's past, and her insecurities of her relationship with Chris causes her to start having panic attacks. She has not experienced attacks since her ex raped her and she left her family behind in the past. These attacks make her fear that she will not be strong enough for Chris when he needs her to be strong.
The investigation on the disappearance of Rebecca makes everyone look guilty and forces people to turn on those they trust. Sara wants to follow her instinct and trust Mark had nothing to do with Rebecca missing, however people and detectives approach her making her doubt herself. Not knowing which way is up and who to trust, she becomes more anxious. Chris, however, remains strong and reminds her that nothing becomes between them and they will face their fears together. Sex scandals arise and the press get ahold of Mark's club and everyone is on edge wondering what will be leaked to the public.
Fortunately, the answer to Rebecca is revealed in this book. Secrets are exposed and true love is tested. Relationships shatter and even more questions are evoked as the investigation into Rebecca digs into everyone's dark and secretive past. Sara and Chis are given the ultimate challenge to see if she is enough or will he return to the whips when things get really bad and ugly. Lisa Renee Jones writes another novel that intertwines many character's lives and secrets, but still leaves you desperately waiting for the next book. Warning, this series will consume your heart and leave you guessing and wanting more. -
Im a total LRJ fan! I've back slacking on reading for a while now even though it's one of my all time favorite hobbies and a great wah to pass time and be calm. However, 2 kids later and wellllll - there's not a lot of time left anymore.
LRJ is without a question, one of the most talented writers I've come across. I never find myself confused or thinking "ooh that was tacky" or "that was predictable" when reading her stories. She has a way of drawing you into her writing and making you feel a personal relationship with the characters. By the end of this book, I wanted to slap Mark right in the face!
However---
I will say that this was my least favorite book out of all that I have read of hers, thus far. Since this is a series and a longer one, at that, I feel like more questions should've been answered from the previous books in the series. I've read all of the novellas in between the novels and been sucked into the story the entire time... But this one fell a little short for me. Nothing real disappointing to the point where I almost DNF'd. But I wasn't taking every single spare second of my day to read this book and for a LRJ book- I usually have it finished within a couple/few days. This one took me well over a week.
Granted, even though this wasn't my favorite, I still won't give up on the series.. Id rather just take a break and read a couple more books until I jump back in. I hope this series isn't one of those that gets drug on forever and ever. IMO- the author is releasing more subtle information for the readers as far as the disappearance of Rebecca and Ella but she's also adding more conflict making it more "ehhhh". I want some answers before new doors are opened and new conflict arises! Im at the point in the series where I feel like I've figured out hardly any of the mystery and I've read several books in the series. In order to keep my attention as a reader, especially with a several book book series, questions need answers before some new questions/conflict arises. Therefore, the readers don't become confused with all of the commotion and don't have a hard time keeping up. Especially a reader like myself who likes to jump around and read different books/series at different times. -
OOOOHHHH!!! This story is really "getting good"!!
The pace picks up as Chris and Sara return to the States to be interviewed by the police. The DA is looking to solve this case or have a scapegoat before the press gets all the facts of the case. After all it is an election year and this case could cost him votes.
Right now, Chris, Sara, and Mark are under the magnifying glass. Even the most innocent clue can be deemed fatal. This is setting the stage for Chris and Sara to test their resolve and love for each other. How much will their fragile love endure? The beginnings of their trust in each other will be thoroughly tested before all is done.
Once again Lisa Renee Jones proves her mastery by sweeping us into the vortex of this passionate, thrilling and complex story. As the pieces begin to fall in place, we become deeply involved in this story as these characters fight for survival and their relationship. The erotic love scenes reach scorching hot levels with the added ingredient of the forever love they feel for each other.
Fasten your seat belts! This is going to be a "thrilling" ride! -
My oh my. So much has happened in this series. I’m sure you all have lots of questions and your own theories as to what really happened. Without giving any spoilers I can safely say, this book answers A LOT. And it does not end with a question - more of an anticipation for what’s to come. Yes, that’s exactly how I feel. I’m super excited for what lies ahead.
Chris and Sara are deeply in love and struggling to find balance in their life with the mess that Ava created. This is book 4 of the Inside Out series, Chris and Sara’s party of the story. Happy reading people! -
OhMiGawd!!! whats this??? continuation or spin off??? If its a spin off... I WANT MARK'S STORY!!! RRRR....
And its a continuation... ♥♥♥ HEAVEN. -
I forgot what got me into this series but reading this book made me remember. The mystery and the romance and the secrets all our characters have.
F*ck Rebeeca. Seriously. I'm shipping Crystal and Mark.
And Chris and Sara are just too cute.
It's double fun having two alpha males in the story. -
I was so pleased to see Lisa Rene Jones bring her Inside Out series back to a book with a strong plot. Reading No in Between (Inside Out #4) by Lisa Renee Jones, was fun and exciting, it reminded me of reading If I Were You (Inside Out #1), filled with intrigue, suspense, drama, and just enough quality sex scenes, that they didn’t overshadow the actual story line.
Chris and Sara are the primary characters in this book, back from Paris, their relationship is much stronger, I found Sara had moments of difficulty dealing with past traumas, and recent incidents, but this allowed Chris to step in and be the supportive partner. I think Chris was a stronger person in this book, it’s like he’s coming to terms with his past, accepting who he is, actually liking himself, and looking forward to the future. Don’t get me wrong, Chris still has demons to battle, and needs to overcome his fear that he will “break” Sara, but as a couple they are so much healthier and likable now.
The supporting cast of characters is large, many reprising roles from the earlier books, some getting more page time then in past books, and some like the detectives and lawyers just joining the cast. There is a stronger presence from the Walker Brothers (first introduced in book three) from Lisa’s “Tall, Dark, & Deadly” series (one of my favorite BDSM lite romantic suspense series), I love how Walker Security has seamlessly been written into the plot.
The book is well written, and flows smoothly. I think that anyone following the series will be pleased with this installment, even though the answer to the two big questions: “who killed Rebecca and where is Ella?" still remain secrets.
I was given this book by NetGalley on behalf of the publisher Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books Gallery Books for an honest review. Expected publication date is Aug 19th, 2014
For me a strong 4 star read -
I received an ARC for an honest review.
I was introduced to this series by the author and feel hard for her writing style and the characters in the middle of her story. I can honestly say this series has kept my interest from day one to the present and left me wanting more………….
This book picks up where we left off with Sarah and Chris trying to plan for their future and having to deal with the uncertain times that come from the disappearance of Rebecca. I finally feel like they are a couple working towards their future and they take the approach of “No in Between” for their relationship. I think this is something that too few people take these days and it is so necessary to having a healthy relationship.
Chris really brings his “A” game to this book and watching him address the fears that still weigh them both down was amazing. He is seriously one of my favorite book boyfriends right now and what I won’t give to have that his hands all over me. I must also admit that him taking a stand to try and help Mark sort out his issues was awesome!! Mark continues to hide behind his feelings, but Sarah does an amazing job challenging him to come to grips for what he truly felt for Rebecca.
The book ends with a major cliff hanger and on that adds even more characters into the mix……... -
I cannot imagine how Lisa Renee Jones managed to write a full length novel with a good flow in the story and yet not revealing much about the mystery behind Rebecca's death. Just when I had thought that things had fallen into place and most of the mystery was solved, a plot twist comes and complicates things. It made me reconsider everything. The wait for the 5th book is going to be very long.
It might be weird, but my favorite part of the book was the songs Jones chose for two scenes. Madness by MUSE is a personal favorite, so that was one more reason to like the book. Say something by A great big world was new to me, but I loved it when I heard it and it fit perfectly with the characters. Those two songs were a perfect fit to this book. I also liked Sara and Chris's relationship. They are great together.
In No In Between I felt sorry for Mark. I just wanted to give him a hug and promise him that everything was going to be ok. I really hope that he and Crystal will work out. And that's another reason to read I Belong to You(5th book). -
The saga continues. Chris and Sara are back from Paris and the investigation is full speed ahead.
This book left me with more questions than answers. Until this book I thought I had the mystery all figured out. Now I just don't know.
I can't wait for the remaining books, I'm salivating to know who did it and exactly what happened to both Rebecca and Ella, and to see Chris and Sara get married. Heck I even want to see Mark get his HEA, up until recently I wasn't his biggest fan, I'm still not but I the things that made me not like him are now being address and I'm understanding him a lot better.
I know this review is sketchy but its incredibly difficult to keep from giving too much away to those who haven't read the series or gotten this far in it yet. All I can tell you without giving anything away is that this is a MUST read series, it should be on everyone's TBR lists. Fans of Romance, New Adult, Mystery/Suspense and Thrillers will not be disappointed in this series.
