A mating like no other.

Trey almost turned his back on his pack to claim Sadie—the stunning vampire who made him whole and crept into his soul. Finally, things have settled. But as an alpha, Trey’s always busy. Thankfully he has a woman who’s more than happy to ease his frustrations, see to his every desire and give him as much of her as he can take. He can’t wait to greet each day with his mate by his side.

Then Shepherds return to New York and start killing off shifters.

Sadie’s powerful enough to protect their people but Trey is determined to keep her safe. Until other dangers arise—ones that could harm humans and immortals alike—and he needs her help when things take a turn for the worst. To destroy their enemies, they’ll have to stand together. Even if it means risking everything, including each other.

Alpha Mine (Alpha and Omega, #4) Reviews

We were wanting more story about Trey and Sadie and that's exactly what we get and then some. Trey and Sadie are together and now they just need to convince the pack that being with Sadie is a good thing. And oh yeah, fight the Shepherds and deal with The Coven, find the Conjurer and help Leigh...just to name a few.

For some reason I thought this was the last book so I was a bit overwhelmed for most of the book. There is just so much going on and with sooo many different couples. The good thing is that it does set up the next two books very well.

Trey is much more Alpha-ish in this book...in both good ways and bad. Basically, he is having to deal with a mate that's a badass herself and he has to learn to accept that. But...when he is loving, well, it's allll good.

Sadie was a bit softer in this book IMO. She's really enjoying being with Trey but she's having to deal with the pack accepting her (I loved her with Arkin), helping Leigh and dealing with The Coven. She has a lot on her plate.

Of course, there are a ton of steamy scenes...A TON. It seems after every tense moment, all the mated Alphas need "a few moments" with their mates...LOL!

    description

The drama with The Shepherds was pretty anti-climatic but my heart really went out to Jonathan and Jay. There's also some drama with The Coven that was handled fairly quickly.

Onto the other couples...(btw, we get mostly all their POVs at one point or another)...

~Diskant and Ava - Diskant was getting on my nerves unfortunately. He's a bit too big for his pants in this book and needs a ego check in the worse way. However, Ava was amazing. I like how she is handling things.

~Mary and Emory - Not a lot about them although they are involved in many of the scenes. I hope things get better for Mary with the way things ended.

~Cade and Destiny - not too much going on with them yet but...there's some interesting information. I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out.

~Aldon and Olivia - We get a lot of them and I'm really liking it. Seems like their book will be next, Immortal Mine and I can't wait.

~Nathan and Leigh - WOW I can't believe what happened...I just hope that Leigh's able to handle things. I 'think' their book will be the sixth one, Salvation Mine.

Overall, things are looking up. The pack has come together even though the hunt was a bit crazy. The epilogue sets up the next book nicely...I'm looking forward to what happens next.

♥ “You’re topping from the bottom.” Trey didn’t move, giving her nothing more than a simple taste. “You know how I feel about that.”

♥ “Who loves you, darlin’?” he asked, the words deep and raspy.

Is that even a question? “You.”

“That’s right. I do. More than fucking anything.” He rolled his hips and the water rocked around them. “Who do you love?”

“A total barbarian.” She sighed and pretended to be annoyed. “A wonderful, delicious, hardheaded, heathen caveman.”

♥ “Sadie,” he whispered, lowering her to the mattress. “You’re the best of me.”

Sacre Bleu - What on earth is happening to this series!!!!

We are being taken off in some many different tangents and not really getting any answers. The romance angle is gone, yes there is plenty of sex and use of words such as c**ks and c*nts (I do HATE that word) flying around and lots of banging sessions with "I love you" being thrown in but nothing really in the way of romance. I wouldn't complain as much but the sex scenes are not even that long, it's more a case of him grabbing her or her grabbing him up against the wall, on the bed or whatever and wham bang it's over and done with!!

What is happing to the Alphas? Both Trey and Diskant are coming across as whining idiots, I understand they don't want to lose their women but they are coming across as wimps! In the beginning it was good to see that Sadie was still kicking ass but she was quickly reined in by Trey with what was basically emotional blackmail.

I would have expected to see a resolution between Nathan and Leigh in this book but that has been dragged on too and now that will have to carry on in the next book. I had loved this series and it really pains me to say that in my opinion it is going downhill and I really want it to stop dragging and to pick up and get moving and introduce some new characters, or even develop some of the characters we have already been introduced to and start telling their stories....Using Trey, Sadie, Diskant & Ava as the main characters all the time is getting boring!

From my comments it would seem that I hated it but I didn't and have still given it 3 stars. Ms Hunter is a good writer and story teller but this book/series had so much potential but it missed by a long shot :(

“Vampires, werewolves, danger, bargains, deals, danger – all the good stuff…

    Oh yeah!!!

Aline Hunter’s paranormal world seems to have taken a step up in this book, with badassery, telepathic goings on and all sorts of magical powers flying around everywhere.

There’s not really a lot I can say about the plot as there’s really no specific storyline occurring in this book – it’s a continuation of the last story arcs, and the beginning of a couple of new ones. Shepherds are still intent on killing any Shifter they come across, the distinction between white vamps and black vamps is further delineated, and new forces rise up and are revealed.

While this is technically a continuation of Shifter Trey and Vampire Sadie’s story from the last book, there is lots happening in the world of the Shifters with lots of story progression for other developing couples in the series – most notably Nathan and Leigh (OMG, what a set up), a bit of Cade, and a sensational twist in the story for one of the characters that I am really excited to explore further! Diskant and Ava are also still a very involved part of the story, and I love that this world just seems to get bigger and more complex with each book.

Trey and Sadie are cemented even further as a couple –without losing any of the hotness that zings between them, and oh holy GOD, there is hotness! Hot, steamy sex – descriptive and lots of it. Just as I have come to expect from this series! And it’s all very romantic, with no relationship drama, just them adjusting to their status as a mated alpha pair with lots of possessive alpha-ness and swoon while each of the couples all do what they need to do to deal with the drama in their world. Oh, and did I mention the swoon…

“I know. I’ve always known. You’re the one for me … You are where I will always belong. With you I’m home.”

I really enjoyed this book. The lack of an individualised storyline didn’t bother me at all. I was happy to be back in this world, and am excited to see where the story goes from here.

He closed his eyes for a moment, taking a reprieve from the scene.
    This was only the start.
Soon things would take a turn for the worse.

The future, from this point forward, was uncertain.
His part in the battle had just begun.

    4 stars.

    What did I just read????

I really love this series. I enjoyed all previous book, but it was sad to say I was disappointed to this book.

I was expected a Trey and Sadie another book, but I really don't know to whom the book for. I don't where the story going. I think everyone, such as Aldon, Olivia, Leigh, Nathan will have a interesting story if it will be told in their own book. I lost interest in romance aspect of story because I can't understand the flow of story.

Sadly this one is not a winner for me. Though I'm looking forward for Leigh and Nathan story.

The Alpha and Omega series started out strong for me. I loved the first one, LOVED it. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the others in the series. The fourth installment in the series Alpha Mine has me wondering where the series is going. At the end of Vampire Mine I thought I had a good clue. I was so wrong. At the end of Alpha Mine I have to be honest and say I have no clue where this series is headed.
The author has chosen to give Sadie and Trey another book. I like my romance series books to move on to a new couple with each new book in the series. There are four couples who have been put into play to have their own books. I feel like Alpha Mine was a bridge to string me along for those characters. I was given little teasers of what may come for them while reading Trey and Diskant constantly establishing their alphaness with more and more possessive machoness.
That was another aspect that disappointed me in this installment of what has been a very sexy paranormal romance. I understand the alpha nature of shifters in my reads. It goes with the genre. The males took a serious wrong turn to over possessive jerkland. Hunter has given her readers some seriously strong and very capable heroines. The heroes seem to have forgotten that or not noticed at all.

    And the story continues....

Trey and Sadie has settled down as Alpha and mate. But since she's a mage vampire with many talents and skills, she always away from Trey to help solve some of the problems they are facing. And this is hard on Trey because she's his mate and he can't bear to be apart from her.

The story is more of a recap of all the other predicaments they are in with added sh*t storm. We are talking the End of days now. With more evil characters worse than the Shepherds.

So....I want to know what's Aldon Frost's story. And Kinsley. And Caden's. And Nathan - will he be able to survive and get out of Aurora Palace? So many questions. Unanswered...not in this book (facepalm).

Read....and wait for the next book. Don't know when it'll be out. I'd probably forget what this series' all about by then.....

“Which one is she?” Trey asked.
“The brunette in front.” As always, Geneva had pulled her hair into a tight French twist with a cascade of curls on the top. It made her look old, like a cranky schoolteacher. “The tall one.”
“She doesn’t look like much,” Trey said disdainfully. “One hit would put her on her ass.”
“Her physicality isn’t what makes her strong.” She exhaled softly, letting her senses take over. She studied each member of the group, paying attention to their interactions with their leader. Everyone seemed relaxed inside the magic shop, choosing things they needed. “You’ve seen what our magic can do.”
“Stay with me,” she instructed Trey silently. “They need to see you.”
    “I’m here.”
    Make sure she’s strong.
    Make her strong.
Her tongue and mouth suckled, her lips keeping hold of his skin. Sadie was always cautious so he let her go, let her take her fill. She’d be careful, she always was and he loved the feel of her mouth against his skin. This was what she needed, what only he could give her. No other had that power. His blood alone kept her powerful. Without it she’d die.
And the realization he provided for her made his cock swell once more.
She belongs to me. I’ll never let her go. She’ll never be able to leave.
Her sharp teeth lifted from his skin, her tongue skimming over his flesh. He welcomed the sharp burn, wanting it to last forever. Like this, they were perfect. He wanted to feed her forever, cherish her forever.
    Love her forever.
This book was given in exchange for an honest review.
I have read the first three in this series and loved them. Trey is a shape shifter and an alpha of his pack and Sadie is a vampire. They are mated and trying to work through things. They also have to deal with the danger that surrounds their pack. There are shifters, witches and vampires. Can Sadie be accepted by his pack? Can their love survive the danger that has come?
This was a good book but it had so much going on that I had a hard time keeping up. There was so much going on in the story I had to stop and reread portions. I am a little disappointed but will read the next one when it comes out.

    FOUR WITCH ANGELS

    3.5 stars

    Up to this point, the
Alpha and Omega series has been absolutely riveting. Compared to the first three books, Book 4,
Alpha Mine, is a disappointment, but (at 3.5 stars) is still worth reading. This series by
Aline Hunter has continuing plot lines and lots of characters, so it should be read in order, beginning with
    Alpha and Omega.

No new couple is the focus of this tale (was really hoping for Kinsley's story). Instead, most of the book follows the already mated pairs: Sadie and Trey, Ava and Diskant, and Emory and Mary--with most of the focus on Sadie and Trey.

The plot advanced very s-l-o-w-l-y because about two-thirds of the dialogue is devoted to whining, bickering, and makeup sex due to Trey and Diskant each refusing to let his mate use her powers to protect the pack because she might get hurt. Trey comes across as a really annoying whiner, and it goes on for far too long.

The most interesting part of the story is the developing relationship between vampire Aldon Frost and his still-human bride, Olivia. Readers learn much more about Aldon, and he takes on a mission that may be the end of him. This is unresolved at the end of Alpha Mine and is one of the hooks to make the reader come back for Book 5.

    I will read
Immortal Mine when it comes out with hope that the series gets back on track.

Well this is a DNF for me. Just don't see the point trudging through it and I don't hold out hope for the rest of the series. I was listening to this as an audiobook. The reader is good except that she tends to whisper parts.
This series is now missing any humour and the side characters who I liked in their own previous books, are now jerks. I really like Sadie though, but Trey is just 'OK'. I found him more compelling before he and Sadie got together. He doesn't really stand out anymore. Ava is a flat out b*tch, and don't get me started on Mary and Emory, or Leigh. The author keeps adding characters that are more powerful than any that have gone before. Next thing you know, she'll be adding gods and godesses. I just started to roll my eyes. Such a cheap way to ramp up the suspense. The series is practically apocalyptic now. Kinda made me feel like I was reading '24' with Keifer Sutherland. Not my cup of tea. Not intriguing, not romantic, and not something I want to read anymore. Instead of romantic moments between the characters all we get is the odd I want to 'do you' so bad. Not romantic...

  • PepperP0t

I've enjoyed the series until this entry. The title and Trey and Sadie were the ones described having sex let you know whose star turn it was supposed to be but they seemed to share equally with the other couples through conflicts. This installment broke from formula (no new romance) and former desirable hotties became running a**holes.

Though the pack is still leery of Sadie, she once again commits to proving to the pack he can be an asset and make her mate happy. Sadie's plate is full when she goes into full warrior mode and brings more than herself to the table to make life easier for the pack, herself and Trey.

Trey contributed to the over-abundance of testosterone and bickering being sprayed and sprinkled in such a confined space. Beyond that his previously intriguing character was wasted (IMO). There were plenty of baddies in this installment. There were Shepherds, Fallen, Alton, desirable artifacts galore but little progress overall was made. I think I would have preferred a novella over this busy installment..

  • BookBunny

where to start ? I've really enjoyed this series, but this book is a fail.

I have to use Trina's review as it's spot on ..

Alphas turned wusses/annoying ninnies/overprotective mommies and their whiny mates...

and I'd add ... far to much pish dialogue .. oh I love you and can't stand to be away from you ... i promise I won't be gone long ... I can't lose you, I'd die without you ... I'll be back I promise ... I'd die without you ...

    on and on it went.

The story was *all* over the place. False tensions between characters, sometime almost bizarrely appearing out of nowhere.

Far too many side stories, providing teasers for other stories to come.

The whole book was a total mess.

I almost DNF, but struggled on to the end.

  • Stacie

Well, for most of this book my eyes kept crossing because I was so bored and tired of Trey whining about Sadie not leaving him. Hello, what kind of Alpha is that? Besides, she can't leave him, he is her only food source. And they are mated so of course she wouldn't leave voluntarily. But they had stuff to do. Man up, Trey!

Anyway, after about half way through, the story finally got good and I enjoyed the second half of the book. I'm hooked once again because I have to know what happens to Nathan, Leigh, Aldon, and Olivia. Not to mention Trey, Sadie, Diskant, Ava and the rest of the pack. I do hope this story wraps up with the next book though. Happy reading.

  • 'Q' aka CoCo

    Disappointed

With the way Vampire Mine ended, I was expecting Aldon and Olivia's story. This book barely touched on them. I really enjoyed all of the previous books... not sure if I've upped my standards (I rated them high) or if this book really is just not as good as the previous but I found it subpar. The sex scenes were a bit boring and I don't feel as though we really got anywhere in the continuation of the storyline. Definitely not worth the price I paid.

  • Firstpella

What the fuck. This book served no purpose...T/S weren't in need of a 'part 2' other characters were not even fleshed out before being thrown in...everyone was boring...it's like the writer was given 1 week to create something to publish just to publish something...so sloppy I'm not sure I even want to buy another book in this series unless the goodreads ratings are all a solid 4-5.

  • Paula

Well I haven't enjoyed the last couple of book sin this series, so I've decided that's the end for me, I have lots of other books to read which deserve my attention more than this series.

  • Leticia Isquerdo

I want more!!! I need more!!! Please Aline, we need know the end of these unforgettable characters!!! I want to know about Nathan, Aldo and his Brothers and all of the others!!

  • Kirsten

Just because it's sooo poorly written but i just want to keep finding out what's going to happen...

  • Kristal Taylor

Oh my gosh I've gotten my HEA. Finally, technically this is a continuation of Trey and Sadie's story. As much as they fought fate they finally succumbed and I loved it. Sadie is a protector and is very much an Alpha female vampire with magic in her own right. Trey I'd definitely an Alpha make Shifter and when it comes to his mate he's dominate, possessive and protective. They finally was going to their place to start a life together.

This book had so many twist and turns it was freaking unbelievable. It's riveting with awesome action. Will Cade find love? Oh my gosh wait until you find out who he's protecting. She is freaking powerful. The most interesting part of the story is the developing relationship between Aldon Frost and his still human mate. He's also helping to get Nathan back. Which is such a twist because he suppose to be a bad guy. Know he's a good guy made my heart melt. He and his brothers are Ordained - both light and dark. Will they be able to keep their secret? Now that leaves Nathan and Leigh. She's not whinny in this book. She actually steps up to the plate. Nathan is in her heart and she can't wait to get him back. Diskant and Ava are also involved big time in this book. Can't wait for the wee little one born. The shocker Sadie had to get rid of the head of the Coven, Geneva. There were plenty of baddies in this installment, Shepard's, The Fallen, and the Conjurer which we don't know much about. Can't wait for next book. Ugh sometime in 2018. By the way, I think I'm in love with Alton Frost.❤️❤️

  • Lynn Thinking out loud

I love this series. This book as been a long time coming. It was fantastic.
Sadie and Trey are at it again. There is danger, action and hot steamy love scenes.
I can't wait for the next one.

  • Antoinette Lewis

Too much wording and the story a take too long. This could have been Kingsley's book or ven Alton.

  • Rise

Can't wait for next book. I'm happy for Trey & Sadie, however I want to see what happens with Leigh and Nathan's relationship.

  • Anna-Marie Buchner

Wow I think I love Aldon Frost

Alpha Mine Book #4 of the Omega and Alpha series by Aline Hunter

Wow it seems like I waited forever for this release. After reading Vampire Mine and being teased I wanted to find out right away what was going to happen with Trey and Sadie and Leah and Nathan. Let me tell you the wait was soooooo worth it.
Alpha Mine we can call the continuation of Vampire Mine. Trey and Sadie are inseparable finally. As much as they fought fate they finally succumbed and I love it. I have to say the scenes between the two of them are most definitely hot, raw and passionate. Sadie is a protector and is very much an Alpha Female in her own rite. Trey is definitely the Alpha Male and when it comes to his mate very dominate and possessive and protective. I love the little clashes. He was willing to give up everything to do with his pack just to have Sadie as his Mate. But this didn’t happen, I’m not saying everything is 100% peachy but Sadie has proven herself more times than none her loyalty lies with the Pack.
The twist and turns and action in this read are unbelievable. I was on edge the entire time and finished the read in one sitting. That’s how riveting it was. I couldn’t find a happy place to stop. Will Cade find a new love? Wait until you read who he’s protecting and what she is OMG. Will Leah finally get out of her head and quit with all the guilt and let fate take its course with Nathan or is it too late? This part of the read killed me. Poor Nathan, Leah put him through so much grief and then what happened to him I hurt for him. Can’t give a spoiler here sorry but because of what happened to Nathan and Cade’s involvement with a certain lady (not giving anything away) we see Aldon Frost in such a different light. Never ever judge a book by its cover, that you will truly learn when you see Aldon for what he is. OMG has Aldon found his true mate in Olivia? Will Olivia give into him and if she finally does will it be in time? Can Aldon help Nathan? Will Aldon and his two brothers be able to keep their secret? Wow loved his two brothers and I so hope we see more of them. Will Sadie be able to do what needs to be done with her old coven and Geneve? This was a shocker.
I have to say however, I’m not liking Diskant, where does he get off. I was getting aggravated with his attitude and for some reason I took offense to him pushing around Trey who is the Alpha. Where does he get off. I’m sorry but I didn’t think the Omega could dictate and push around his Alpha. Just sayin it rubbed me the wrong way.
The close of this read left me a little on edge I just hope the next release comes sooner rather than later.

  • Djg

Book 4 in the series picks up not long after Vampire Mine ends.

We get more page time for Sadie and Trey (which I like) and get to see their growing devotion to each other. They are the primary focus of this book but there is a good balance with the continuation of the series (and the growing threats) and the set up for future stories.

    What I liked:
Sadie is a very worthy heroine. She's a protector and a warrior but she has a tender side too. I love that the author makes her strong but she has vulnerabilities too (So often strong heroine=bitch). I love how they didn't want to be separated from each other.

Lots of sexy love scenes but not just that, it's the way these men express their passion to their mates that melts my heart.

I am dying (I tell you) to get to Nathan and Leah's story. I'm happy that she has finally admitted to herself that he matters to her. I have high hopes for them. Also, impatient to read Aldon and Kinsley's stories as well.

    What I didn't love:
The in-fighting was less but still there. I'd like to see the main characters support each other more. There's enough of a threat from the outside factions.

So definitely recommended for fans of this series.

well,it was ok!it piss me of wen i have to connect the stories between them!what happend to kinsley?he really vanished!and i thot that this book will tell moreeeeee about Aldon and Olivia!she start doing like Leight, some like this ..o no,i dont want you,but in her minde was like, take me,make me yours!wtf...?And i loved Trey, for been more strong, and trying to be confident on him and Sadie, but now it was like his wolf was goon to sleep...i dont wont you to go,ill dye without you...ooooohhh...come on,hes a man,not a pussy woman, wolfs dont cry!and all the dirty talking, and doing...come on!its not that i dont like dirty talking, but he was much sweet in the other books, even sometimes he was an asshole!i would made him more strong, more like Diskant!well this is my opinion!i see animals in other ways, and ived imagine things in diferent way!but,it was a nice story, and i will reed the next one too!

  • Mary-Anne

Very mixed emotions about this book, for 3/4 of the book I found our two alphas had turned in to whiny self consumed sooks and the story dragged on a bit. It picked up at the end and we got an insight in to several characters (new and some mentioned briefly in previous books) which livened things up. I'm in two minds about the next book after the glimpse we get in the epilogue, I fear it's going to be very cliche

  • Holly

I really did not like Trey. And I didn't enjoy a lot of the sex between Trey and Sadie. Not sure if it's because I don't like Trey, but I just didn't find it sexy. But I liked the stuff with Aldon Frost and Olivia, and even Leigh. And I really want more Cade and Destiny. So hopefully the next book will have no Trey, and I'll like this series again.
