The book wasn't what I hoped, and the description on the back cover that says it discusses the subject "in an accessible and attractive" manner is just flat-out wrong. Accessible, yes. Attractive? Not so much.
This is a book by archaeologists for archaeologists with a great deal more discussion of craft and technique than the historical and anthropological context of the discoveries. If you want to learn about ancient Anatolia, go find another book.
