It Ends with Revelations by Dodie Smith

Jill is happily married to an actor Miles when she meets Geoffrey Thornton and his daughters Robin and Kit. She immediately befriends the girls and begins a journey of self reflection and change. This was a completely unexpected story. I love Smith's writing, her stories are not complicated but the characters are interesting and you're easily drawn in. The glaring exception is the Starlight Barking which is just bizarre..
