From bestselling erotica author Shoshanna Evers comes an erotic re-imagining of the classic fairytale, Beauty and the Beast.

With her father’s freedom at stake, Belle agrees to be the fearsome Beast’s prisoner in his enchanted castle. Held as his willing captive, Belle must submit to the Beast’s most primal desires to survive.

The Beast can’t let his little Beauty go free, not while there’s still hope that she might be the one to end his decade-long curse…and with true love’s kiss, return him to the Prince he once was.

Their story is one that begins with imprisonment—he in his monstrous body, she in a dungeon—but without this predicament, Beauty would never have met the Beast.

So we shall begin with what occurred on that fateful night when everything changed: when a lover was betrayed, a man deformed, and a castle shrouded in an enchantment…

Beauty and the Beast Reviews

  • ᑭᑌᑎƳᗩ [Punya Reviews...]

My review contains spoilers and they're mostly my thoughts as I went with the book...

Beauty and the Beast was my first Shoshanna Evers book, an erotic re-telling of the fairytale. I was very interested to read this one because, even though, I had read couple of erotic re-tellings in the past, none were centered around BDSM. Unfortunately, I was rather disappointed in this one.

After his father the King’s death, Prince Frederick is cursed by his stepmother, a witch, and transforms into a beast. The price of his freedom is ‘love’; someone will have to fall in love with his hideous beastly form. Thinking all hope is not lost, Frederick runs to his ‘beloved’, Nadine, a village girl, with whom he’d just had a tryst before returning home. But alas, she doesn’t recognize him (his eyes were still Frederick’s very human, very beautiful green eyes) at all. Afterwards, Frederick becomes resigned to his fate and in this hellish living. Frederick/The Beast’s stepmother leaves him in his father’s castle, no one but the castle itself to look after him. He’s abandoned, alone, not knowing if he’ll ever become human again.

Then 10 years pass by and a man from the village somehow ends up in his estate that looks decidedly unkempt but for the pretty red roses. Before leaving, the man takes some roses for his only daughter, the beautiful Belle because she loves those. That is when the Beast makes his appearance, scaring the living daylight out of the man. The Beast keeps the man trapped inside the castle, but upon hearing of Belle’s name, a thought occurs to him. Can she become her father’s ‘freedom’? But more importantly, can she become the ‘freedom’ that the Beast is searching for in vain?

Belle ends up in the castle after her father is released by the Beast in exchange of her. She’s scared of the Beast at first but has to accede to his wishes in order to save her father. She’d live her 6 months of time, catering to the Beast’s every whim. The Beast hopes to woo Belle because her beauty has already captured him. And in doing so, he also hopes, prays that Belle comes to love him too.

As days pass by, Belle finds a very accommodating, luxurious living inside her temporary ‘prison’. Her whims are also catered by the Beast. She gradually begins to get used to the Beast’s appearance, noticing the softer, gentler side of him. He’s never rude with her, always cautious. But there’s one thing he demands of her. Being a virgin, Belle only has some vague idea of what it might be but she’s not sure if she can be that intimate with the Beast.

In the meantime, the Beast somehow begins appearing in Belle’s dream as Frederick. It’s a very vivid dream, and Belle finds herself falling for Frederick seeing him in all his dazzling good looks. They kiss and touch, but she has no clue that Frederick is the Beast, someone she has subconsciously started calling her beast. Belle decides she wants the Beast, as well as Frederick. But she doesn’t know why Frederick keeps telling her that she has to love the Beast too. At one point, Belle also finds that she is ready to be intimate with the Beast, though she’s yet to figure out the truth.

The Beast is overjoyed, and eager to show her his kinky ways (aka his preference for bondage). After a few false starts, spanking sessions and some tears, Belle’s initial fear is won out by her curiosity to find out the Beast’s... er... ummm, private parts.

I did have a tough time, even in my utter disbelief, imagining her accommodating that ‘thing’ cause the Beast was said to have been huge in stature. I also didn’t find the sex scenes that sexy, maybe this was one of the reasons why. Apart from this, the stilted, somewhat awkward dialogue bothered me a lot. The ending was rather nice but that wasn’t enough for me. 3 stars, could’ve been better IMHO.

Received a gift copy from Shoshanna Evers as a host for a blog tour (Feb 2014) without any obligation to review. I’d like to thank her for it.

"I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review"

Beauty and The Beast is my favorite fairy tale, so when I learned one of my favorite authors of erotica had written an erotic reimagining, I was very excited, Even more exciting, was the opportunity to read an advanced copy and give my review before it's release.

The storyline of Beauty And The Beast is pretty much the same one we all know from the classic books and films down to the Disney animated version. The one difference here is that Shoshanna Evers has taken this timeless classic and spun an enchanted tale of romance laced with sexy erotic scenes.

When Prince Frederick's father dies, his stepmother, the queen, tries to seduce him. He despises her and turns her down, causing her to use her evil enchantments to cast a spell on him. She turns him into a monstrous beast that would frighten or repulse anyone who saw him. The spell can only be broke when Frederick finds a woman who can love him, despite his hideous appearance.

Trapped in his castle for ten years, the beast has about given up on ever finding a woman who will love him in his state until one night a man appears at his door seeking shelter. The Beast keeps the man prisoner until he tells him about his young daughter, Belle. The Beast agrees to let the man go in exchange for his daughter.

At first the Beast keeps Belle captive, but after a while lets her have freedom in the castle. He is growing to love her and hopes he can convince her to love him back. The question is, will Belle be able to love the Beast enough for the spell to break?

Although I have read and seen many versions of Beauty and The Beast, there have been none quite like this. It's still a beautiful story about discovering a person's inner beauty and accepting them for who they are regardless of their appearance, but the love scenes are very arousing and sexy.

Even though this is an erotic telling of the classic tale, the story is not flimsy and full of sex. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the story and the explicit sex scenes just added to my enjoyment.

Congratulations to Shoshanna Evers on yet another beautiful, sexy story!

A quick, smutty read of Beauty and the Beast.
Belle´s father is held hostage by Beast when Belle takes his place, and the courting begins.
Love this story, the re-telling was great. Smutty fluff, angst and a Happy Ending =)

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite story ever, both in terms of Disney and the fairytale. When I saw that this book was an erotica retelling of the story I was very excited thinking that this book could marry the hopeless romantic and sex crazed parts of my brain. Maybe because of this, my expectations were too high, but this book did NOT deliver on any of those fronts.

    description

I think the writer could have done SO much more with this than she did.

The romance Eh…. Story was somewhat romantic because the original story itself is romantic, and not because the author did anything extra to emphasize that

The writing style Ugh… I felt like I was reading fan-fiction… ok, I guess I WAS reading fan fiction. but this felt like BADLY written fan fiction. Dialogue was awkward and very simplistic. I believe there were only 2 lines in the whole book that I liked and they were delivered by the Beast:

Belle asks where will she sleep
Beast: There's some hay in the cell. You'll sleep there - unless you planned on sleeping in my bed. I assumed you were the virtuous maid type. Perhaps I was mistaken.

And the second instance was when Beast tells Belle to lick off his fingers after he fed her oranges. She asks if he's getting some sort of enjoyment from the act
Beast: It's pleasurable for me to see you obeying me, yes. But if you'd rather put your pretty mouth to work on another appendage in order to give me the pleasure you seem to be inquiring about, then go ahead
There you go, best two lines in that whole book…..
    description

The sex Whaaaaa??? I have never read anything else from this author, but the other reviews go on about how she is an amazing erotica writer… I am so confused…. The sex scenes weren't actually all that hot.. And they were disjointed and the flow was weird too… We get a bit of that typical 'he thrusts twice and she falls apart in mind-blowing orgasm'… Also, the mechanics of it didn't quite work for me. They kiss and their tongues entwine… Yea… He's 9-10 feet tall with big wolf teeth - explain to me how his tongue could entwine with hers without him slobbering all over her face??… There wasn't any suspense or anticipation or foreplay for the reader. She meets the beast and is terrified of him (as you'd expect), but a few hours later she is writhing in orgasm because he is fingering her with, I might add, gorilla hands…… Mhmm….
    description

The storyline The only reason I gave this 2 stars was because of the storyline, but then again, I wonder if his book really deserves 2 stars given the whole plot is taken from the Disney movie and the original 1740 story.

Bits taken from the original 1740 story:
    - Belle's dad was a merchant who lost his wealth and goes to check on one of his ships that might have survived the voyage at sea
    - Belle asks for her dad to bring her back a rose
    - Beast allows Belle's father to go back and see her one last time with the promise that he would return
    - While captive, Belle starts having dreams of a beautiful prince who was encouraging her to befriend the beast. She becomes convinced that the Beast is holding the prince captive too
    - Beast allows Belle to go back to see her father for one week, with the use of a ring and looking glass mirror thingy

Bits taken from the Disney movie
    - Beast's appearance
    - Townspeople believe that Belle's father is insane and should be sent to the asylum
    - The scene with the wolves (when Belle runs away and gets attacked by wolves and the Beast saves her)
    - The library scene

The bits of the plot that were added to the original story (the stepmother witch and Belle's father locking her in), were brushed over very briefly.

I just thought that since the original story is so beautiful and epic, then a kinky retelling of this could only make the thing better. Wrong. This managed to ruin a beautiful story and I am so disappointed and sad I paid $2.99 for this..

A very sexy take on the old classic, I hope the author will consider writing more like this (Cinderella, sleeping beauty, etc)…I highly recommend

Once again, Shoshanna has delivered a delightful erotic treat for erotica lovers. Gripping and well-paced, I read the whole tale in one sitting. This page-turner kept me wondering whch parts from the classic fairy tale would play out and which parts were the reimagined version. Well, Shoshanna did a fine job keeping me guessing. I was hooked to the very last sentence.

Besides the obvious stars in the story, I found the other characters just as amusing. The constable and his wife served as comic relief for me—they were so serious about their jobs yet perfectly opposed to Belle's father's desires. Although their convincing roles were quickly drawn up and integral to the rest of the story, Shoshanna has a way of keeping readers engaged in the star characters with breathtaking suspense.

Above all else, I love Shoshanna's books because all the hot-as-hell book boyfriends are respectful and act on consent. So sex with these dominant boyfriends stays in the realm of sexy—even though this book boyfriend happens to be the Beast and likes his sex kinky. By the end of the book, *you'd* want to bed the Beast!

Beauty was also a great heroine in that she showed concern for people, fought with her inner demons (or beasts) and stood her ground when it mattered. She was the perfect balance between the traditional devout nurturer and the modern independent woman who could fend for herself. Shoshanna's reimagined tale is far more gratifying than its predecessors in that readers get permission to experience a sexual being, a sexual Beauty, with a sexy, kinky Beast.

Overall, I highly recommend this book. The plot is fresh, the characters convincing, the sex steamy, plus there's the happily ever after I've come to expect from Shoshanna's works. I'd say, snuggle up warm under the covers, download the ebook or curl up with the paperback and enjoy a warm night before diving into that chilly stormy night when Beast came into being...

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    4.5 Stars

Note: I won an ARC from the author

So...I will never be viewing Beauty and the Beast the same. Now all I'll think about is how the Beast ravished/spanked/whipped/etc a (willing) Beauty while a prisoner in his castle.

The writing style was so reminiscent of fairy tales I've read (I took a German Fairy Tale course in college), but with a splash of erotica/BDSM. It's odd to read if you're expecting traditional fictional prose, but once I got used to it, I quite liked it. The style is good for fast-paced shorter stories, like fairy tales and like this story.

I actually wanted to read more about their days/nights together, and how they played together. A few scenes are shown, yes, but how can I not ask for moar? LOL

I am very happy that there were no cursed, talking objects in the house (like in the movie), and there was also no Gaston. It mainly focused on Belle and the Beast's (his human name is Frederick) relationship. The way that his human form appears to Belle in his dreams was a new take for me, and made it that much more believable when he turned back to a man that Belle could easily love him.

Even though it's short and moves pretty quickly, it's still built up well, and the emotion between Belle and the Beast, especially near the end, is believable.

The nicest thing I can say is I hope if you’re reading this book you got it through kindle unlimited instead of paying real, actual money for this book on its own. I don’t like leaving a bad review, but this was hard to get through and it was a short book. So, that’s saying a something. I’m not even sure how this author was a critically acclaimed erotic writer and a best seller because this book was so bad. I imagine most of her other erotic works are a bunch of “nether lips” this and “most intimate parts” that. Basically avoiding calling body parts anything even close to what they are and describing sexual acts in as prude a way as possible. Which would be fine… if this wasn’t intended to be a smut book. It honestly reads like a frightened, middle schooler wrote a secret fanfic her very devout, conservative family can’t find or she’ll be in trouble.

Beyond the christianized descriptions of sex and body parts and the many “oh good lord in heaven” sprinkled through the book (and the word cunny), this very loosely followed the storyline of Beauty and The Beast. Some of it was so nonsensical that not even using imagination reserved for fictional books could help with some of those magical plot holes.

Besides that, SOMEHOW, she managed to mix in Wizard of Oz by throwing in a magical ruby ring that, if twisted on her finger three times, would magically transport Belle home (back to the castle in the end). And if that’s not enough to deter you from reading this train wreck of a book, the beast is some chimera of a monster that is part lion, part gorilla and part wolf.

Also, if you’re someone who reads smut for the feelings it gives you, in your brain or your pants, this book will do zero of that. I spent most of this book screaming laughing in cringe and showing my friend. If you love Beauty and The Beast as a fairy tale in general you should probably skip this book. 😅

  • Sunshine✰✰✰

This was a short Erotic retelling of the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale. To free her father, Belle agrees to stay for 6 months and do everything the Beast asks. At night while dreaming, the Beast is able to visit Belle as his human self, Prince Fredrick, and convinces her to submit to the Beast and learn to love him. She knows this means submitting to him sexually and, while she is a virgin and nervous, she finds herself excited by the BDSM play the Beast aka Prince Fredrick enjoys.

This is a quick story that follows along the original tale pretty well. For an erotic story, the sex and BDSM is pretty light, which is good considering that, well...he is an animal. And that's just weird. I actually found myself laughing because of the narration. The narrator just made everyone sound a bit over the top.

  • Jennifer Feltz Milkowski

This book was a good retelling of Beauty and the Beast one of my favorite Disney stories. My only complaint was that the audio version of the story is kind of annoying. I really hated that it seemed like we need to understand the greater meaning to certain words like "Human" or "Beastly". To me it was a draw back, like I can't understand the double meaning to the beasts eyes looked "Human", you had to do a horrible dubbing over the word.

However I did listen to this book and did thoroughly enjoyed the retelling. I enjoyed that while the home was haunted the beast was truly alone for the years before he met Belle.

I think this is a must read if you want Beauty and the Beast with a side of spice.

  • Penni

Short, ridiculous read. Immature writing with zero tension or character development. Like an 8th grader wrote fanfic after seeing the live action Disney Movie.

Shoshanna Evers has become a master at re-imagining classic fairytales into steamy and evocative reads that give readers more than just sweet dreams. This latest release is no exception and puts a memorable modern-day spin on the classic Beauty and the Beast theme that we all know and love by amping up the sexuality.

The basic premise of this story remains the same but it's the characters that make this story unique. This time around Belle goes on a journey not only to learn to love the man behind the beast but also to learn about herself and embrace her sexuality. She becomes a woman under the Beast's seductive tutelage. From the start she's immensely likable, open minded, vibrant, and strong-willed in her convictions. She's leery of what the Beast offers her but she never backs down, which made her emotional evolution feel very contemporary.

The Beast has been stuck in his monstrous form for ten years when Belle's father enters his home and he's given the opportunity to lift his curse through Belle falling in love with him. The curse has wiped his existence from people's mind which has made him feel very isolated and even more beast-like. Having Belle in his home has him re-embracing his human side and becoming a more gentle man in his words and deeds. His journal gives us even greater insight into his character and his desire for true love and made him very endearing and had me rooting for his HEA.

Ms. Evers crafted a romantically atmospheric story that's vividly detailed in its depiction of man and beast. The steamy BDSM encounters were seamlessly woven in to the storyline to make them feel believable and intensified the burgeoning relationship between Belle and the Beast. These scenes were not only super hot but maintained their romantic qualities through the gentleness the Beast displayed throughout. With such compelling main characters and a sweat-inducing romance the only thing I found a bit disappointing were the secondary characters. With the exception of Belle's father, the secondary characters felt unnecessary and I wish their time had been devoted to Belle and the Beast instead as their romance held me captive. The ending too felt a bit rushed and open-ended. Ultimately, Ms. Evers has brought another wonderful fairytale to life and I look forward to what she has planned next!

Not so hot kalo menurutku, yah bisa dibilang suam-suam kuku deh ya.. Eroticanya nggak begitu mengena, dan beastnya kaya terobsesei gitu sama'spanking', lalu chemistry Belle & Beast nya juga nggak begitu kuat, tiba-tiba aja saling cinta begitu.
Tapi so far, cerita ini lumayan bisa dinikmati untuk fast reading, dan re-telling tentang Beauty and the Beastnya juga dikemas cukup apik (terlepas dari embel-embel erotica).

I've been trying to work one of Shoshanna's books into my Psychocat Reads schedule for a while now, and I'm thrilled I finally did.

Shoshanna's version of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is an erotic re-imagining of the old classic. This novella was engaging, fast-paced, and delightfully smutty. In short, it was everything I'd expected from a Shoshanna Evers book.

Characters: Belle is not quite the naive, innocent girl from the Disney fairy tale. This Belle has a wild side and is ready to have some fun. At the same time, you still see the warm, caring girl we all grew up loving. The Beast (Frederick) is also far more wicked, in all the right watys, than his fairy tale counterpart At the same time, he still strives to regain his humanity throughout the story.

Relationships: As with the original tale, the two key relationships in the book are Belle and her father and Belle and the Beast. The first remains relatively true to the version we've likely all seen or read. The second got a major adult-rated overhaul, though it still retains much of the delightful complexity of the story it is based on. My only complaint is that at points the timeline of the story felt a bit rushed.

Smut: Shoshanna does an excellent job of capturing the heat. She delivers just enough detail without ever crossing the line into sounding alike a how to manual. Even the hints at BDSM seem right at home in this tale of Beauty and the Beast.

Final Rating: 4.5 STARS. This book is certainly not for everyone, but if you enjoy a good erotic romance, pick up a copy and enjoy! I'll defintely be carving out time to read more of Shoshanna's books.

"Beauty and the Beast: an erotic re-imagining" by Shoshanna Evers is a very sensual reworking of a beloved fairy tale classic. Prince Frederick has been condemned by his evil stepmother to exist in a horrific form unless he can find someone who will gift him with her true love. Given his proclivities, she also has to be willing to participate wholeheartedly in his kinky sexual activities. He is sinking further into his bestial nature until potential salvation in the form of virginal Belle Castelle is dangled in front of him but will he be able to get her to see the man within the Beast? Maybe not in time to save him.

This erotic novella is a very imaginative version of the Beauty and the Beast tale and provides a fun and nicely detailed read. The increasing levels of spice as the story progresses is enhanced by the magical elements that are part of the enchanted castle. The dichotomy of the Beast and his human counterpart, Prince Frederick, add to Belle’s confusion and their tutelage in some of the elements of BDSM forces her to evaluate what she wants from a lover. She is a somewhat irksome heroine who can’t quite decide what she wants at first but she eventually redeems herself by becoming more assertive. This is an interesting and enjoyable adult fairy tale and I would be interested in seeing what other stories this innovative author has created.

A copy of this title was provided to me for an honest review.

This isn't your regular retelling of the beloved fairy tale. So be prepared to be left speechless with this erotic re-imagining.

I have to admit, this book really left me somewhat shocked, and believe me that's a hard thing to do. I read all kinds of erotic books, but this one left me scratching my head a time or two. I had to read this novella two times, just to wrap my head around the idea that there were some BDSM elements in one of my all time Disney favorites.

Yup...you heard me right. When you've spent years enjoying the Disney edition with your girls and then you read this, you're likely going to be pissed off. However, once you're able to see passed the family rated version of the story, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how sensual and loving our dominant beast really is.

Overall, I'm rating this book 4 stars, which is mostly due to the creative liberties Ms. Evers took with her take on the popular tale. She made some bold decisions, stuck with them, and created a memorable experience.

  • Keana

Well, this was quite a blush-worthy take on the classic!
I was on a re-telling kick, but I wanted something a little on the grittier side. Ms. Evers definitely came through in that regard; can we say super steamy?!
As much as I enjoyed the read, I just couldn't give it a full five stars. Parts of it pulled so much from the Disney movie that it started to feel more like a sexual spoof than an actual re-imagining. In addition, I honestly think that the novella could have benefited from a little more length and little more depth. But, it is what it is. It's a good light smutty read that serves its purpose.
I think Ms. Evers has a great deal of potential and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Well I am here to tell you of a fairy tale that was dear to my heart when I was a child growing up, this fairy tale take by the amazingly talented Shoshanna Evers has not only brought my favourite tale alive it has brought it a lot more dark and most definitely not for the faint of heart also this is for adult eyes only!!!

This is a story of a brave women who tells the beast to take her as his prisoner and let her father go free. In doing so she submits fully to the beast and what ever he may desire.

When the evil queen the beasts stepmother puts a curse on the beautiful prince and the castle he lives in, changes him so he looks hideous and will never be loved so as never to break the curse.

Will Belle be enough to break the curse can she look past his ugly looks and horrible mood to give him true loves kiss.

It is a story of torture, imprisonment and love.

Amazing writing once again by Shoshanna Evers

    Hope you enjoy

  • Christie P.

Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite Disney tale so when I saw this erotic re-imagining I knew it was only a matter of time before I gave in and read it. The title definitely doesn’t lie about being an erotic re-imagining, there is barely a moment in this story that isn’t filled with sex, sexual images, or sexual tension. I wish the story was longer to flush out more moments between Belle and the Beast, and to also have more story to enjoy.

I think if I had one complaint it would be that the story moved so fast. I think I was hoping for a rated extremely R version of the story I know so well. There wasn’t much build up to the relationship between Belle and the Beast. It was a definite plunge into them being together. I wanted more build up than I got.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes/loves the well-known story but I would caution not to get your hopes up of this story following along the same time line no plot lines.

  • Fiona Marsden

If you really liked the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast but wished they spiced it up a bit, your wish is answered. This is an erotic novel so the language is quite strong and the situations explicit. There is also a BDSM vibe with Beauty submitting to the Beast, calling him Sir and getting spanked.

The story itself is very similar to the movie version mentioned but with frequent sexual interactions. There was a character arc for the Beast aka Frederick and also for Beauty which made it an enjoyable read beyond the erotic nature of the book.

If you like erotica flavoured fairy tales this one could be enjoyable. The writing is good and only one noticeable typo. If you are uncomfortable with strong explicit sexual language and bondage...maybe not. I liked the story but felt a little uncomfortable so couldn't give it a higher score.

  • Erik Nelson

We all know the story of "Beauty And The Beast" from the Disney movie. However, the story has been told in many different versions before it was presented as a Disney movie. It truly is a tale as old as time. But the best written version of the tale appeared in 1756 by Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont. Shoshanna Evers has taken Beaumont's version and made it, well sexier. She's kept the original idea of the story within her story with the exception of a few small changes and very BIG ones. Those big changes are nothing innocent (because sexy is anything but innocent) but innocent enough to keep the original point of the story. Whether you're a fan of the "Beauty And The Beast" or not, I think you'll love this version. Not just because it's an erotic re-imagining of a classic tale but because it has a lot of original material that is good for any kind of book.

  • Jessica Subject

I can never watch Beauty and the Beast again without thinking of this story. Belle and the Beast aren't so innocent anymore.

This is a wonderfully erotic story that combines a well-known fairy tale with spanking. The Beast is sexy and exactly the way her should be for the story. I only wish the story was longer, which means Shoshanna Evers wrote it well and made me want to stay in this world even longer.

I read excerpts from this story before it released, and I was excited when I won the ebook from the author. The opinions expressed are my own.

This book kept my interest from the first page to the last. I read it in one sitting. I didn't want to put it down because I truly cared how it would end. I enjoyed the retelling of a familiar story with the addition of a bit of naughtiness. It was erotic without making me blush excessively. I can say that I will be reading more of her books!
I received this book from the author after winning it on Goodreads. What a nice surprise when I opened the envelope.
