  As a nurse, I always enjoy reading books that I can relate to, so as a romance junkie, Medical Romances was a hit for me. It's like hitting two birds with one stone. And Ms. Lynne Marshall is my go-to medical romance writer of choice when I’m looking for feel-good medical romance books. One of the things I appreciate most about her writing style is her ability to create such relatable, visceral characters – they are flawed. They make mistakes, but they are endearing and lovable.
  
  Oh gosh, Terrance is the type of guy you bring home to your parents, marry, have lots of cute kids, and grow old with. He’s a total swoon-worthy and just an all-around great guy! And Jaynie was such an endearing heroine.
  
  I appreciate the slow build that the author gave to their attraction; the chemistry doesn’t truly manifest until much later in the story, which I liked since I’m a fan of slow-burn romances. And when they finally get down to business... hot! They were just awesome! And Terrance camping outside Jaynie's house cracked me up, big time! I see; he's taking his sister's advice to heart.

  I like angsty read, but I also enjoy reading books with a simple plot, awesome characters, sweet romance, and no OTT drama! And you have all that in spades in Her Baby's Secret Father.

  I rate this as a 4.5 Star Review. This was a quick, sweet read and I highly recommend this book. The characters were genuine and well developed.
  
  Jaynie Winchester, a charge nurse on the Pulmonary ward, is in premature labor...alone, no husband, no fiance, no boyfriend. When baby Tara is delivered, she isn't breathing and she is taken immediately to the NICU for specialized care.
  
  Terrance Zanderson, Respiratory therapist, finds himself getting more and more involved with his ex-girlfriend, Jaynie and her baby girl, often placing himself as the shift RT for the NICU. He and Jaynie cared a lot for one another but her biological clock was ticking and he did not want children so they went their separate ways, remaining friends.
  
  Then through a twist of fate Terrance makes a shocking discovery.

Jayne chose her sperm donor, for his amazing genetics, and the photo he submitted of himself with his twin sister as a child, with the clincher the essay he submitted in his donor package ... "And if, in the end, I’ve done anything worthwhile with my life, nothing will compare to this. For the greatest achievement I will claim is giving you the opportunity to exist. Never take life for granted. It will always outsmart you. Consider each day a challenge. Dream big, love with all your heart and think positive. Only you can write the story of your life. Make it a great one."
  
  In her seventh month, Jayne goes into premature labour and baby Tara is born. She's a fighter but her lungs need help and she's put on a ventilator. Terrence is there in the NICU as her respiratory therapist and he quickly bonds with the baby. Jayne and Tara draw him like a magnet and he finds himself falling in love with both mother and child. When he sees the plaque on the baby's wall that bears a quote from his essay, he realizes that he's Tara's father. He's elated and then in despair; he'd vowed never to become a father again after the loss of one baby to SIDS.
  
  This is a sweet love story with two very relatable characters. I admired Jayne's determination to make her own family and I fell in love with Terrence when he couldn't keep himself away from mother and baby. This is Ms. Marshall's debut romance and also the first of her books that I've read. I like her writing voice and am eagerly looking forward to reading more from her

  An endearing quick read about a Respiratory Therapist who thinks he has no business, emotionally, of being a father again. Little does he know that two girls will knock down his fences and become a force to be reckon with, whether he wants them to or not. However, he needs to first expel a couple of secrets and hope and pray for all that's holy that one secret wont blow up in his face.
  
  I loved how this story played out. I loved the fates that may be. I loved that it was dual points of view and most of all, I loved Terrance's quick connection with Tara, his little Peanut.

  This is a typical story of secrets kept. Janie is a nurse who is also pregnant. She goes into premature labor and her child ends up in NICU. Terrence is an Respiratory therapist at the same hospital. They had dated. He didn't want any commitments he was headed to become a doctor. Now he wants to help her with her child. The secrets start with him. I read this story and loved the way it was told by Lynne Marshall. Have read several of her books in the past and will do so in the future.

  Jaynie spent five years in a relationship. She brought up marriage and children and he left. Janice was a registered nurse on the pulmonary wing at the hospital. She had dated the lovely Terrance, a respiratory therapist for a short while but he had career plans to leave the state and become a doctor. Jaynie was in her thirties and raised by a single parent so who needs men. She made a plan, saved as much money as she could and read all the books she could. She went to the sperm bank and chose her biological father. One day at work she went into premature labor and four hours later her preemie baby was born. Terrance, the respiratory therapist on duty, stayed with her baby during the critical hours. As the weeks went by as Jaynie visited the nursery learning to care for her three pound little girl, Terrance continued to visit the nursery and his care extended to his friend Jaynie. Telling her friends she was fine when her baby came home, Jaynie finally worked herself into a meltdown with two hour feedings and anxiety over her baby. Terrance had continued to visit and check on her and found her passed out. He stepped in and cared for her and the baby till Jaynje got some rest. When Jaynie started to think about it, why was he always around, where did he learn to expertly change a diaper, when has she fallen in love with him, what was he looking for. Nothing made sense. Giving in to her raging post partum harmonies, Jaynie decided to just go along with Terrance's interest in her and her baby which inevitably led to sex which was fabulous! However as Jaynie relaxed into the relationship, the truth about Terrance's interest began to come out.

  3.5 stars. Good but it's not exactly my favorite.
  
  Why? Mostly because there's just too many medical terms that I don't understand and it's confusing. I know it's 'medical romance' but I just wish there's translation of the terms. Overall I enjoyed the storyline, it's adorable and definitely full of drama. I liked it.

  I like harlequin books, I know them and how they are written, and I enjoy them for what they are, a nice piece of happy fluff. However there is a limit for me, I had to stop reading this after this specific sentence "She caught a whiff of his pheromones, and almost felt her milk let down. ".....

  What a beautiful story of love for a child, so desperately wanted but so afraid of what might happen. You felt for both Jaynie and Terrance, with their love and fears and for little Tara, with everything she had to go through to live. Thank you Ms. Marshall for a great read.
