Have read The Virgin Suicides and, wow, then I read it again straight after. It was not just the story and plot (both excellent in my opinion), but the beauty of the writing and the use of words which I enjoyed. Vocabulary enhancer, Mr. Eugenides, you certainly are - I had to look up words all the time, and I thank you for the education. I am now heading for The Marriage Plot and Middlesex and anything else I can find by Mr. E.

Jeffrey Eugenides - Jeffrey Kent Eugenides is an American Pulitzer Prize winning novelist and short story writer of Greek and Irish extraction.Eugenides was born in Detroit, Michigan, of Greek and Irish descent. He attended Grosse Pointes private University Liggett School. He took his undergraduate degree at Brown University, graduating in 1983.
