Twenty two years old and a cowboy working for The Horizon Ranch, Jessup Brooke has a secret, a secret that he can't let anyone else find out--a secret that has already cost him the most important person in his life. Since that day, he's felt ashamed of who and what he is.
When he and two other cowboys are caught on the open Texas plains during the infamous 1836 Norther, the three are in a race against time to find shelter before the storm can claim them. Among the three is Jeb, a man whom Jessup finds his gaze linger on for just a split second too long.
As the brutal blizzard tightens its fist around the three unfortunate men, Jessup must accept the fact that the only way to stay warm is in each other's arms. But when he feels a different heat--searing yet comforting--between himself and Jeb, will Jessup be able to overcome his traumatic past and share the secret with the handsome cowboy?

DNF. It got brutal at 32% and just not want I'm looking for in a read. It was free and I took a chance.

This book took a couple of times of reading for me. I was so upset by the cruelty initially I was going to not read the book again, but on a second read, I felt uplifted by the fact that life still goes on regardless of the pain in our past.
