I was ECSTATIC when I found out Bianca was going to continue James & Lola's story. I thoroughly enjoyed the mini stories and I really enjoyed the full-length novel that is Vice, Virtue & Video. I am a huge sucker for friends-to-romance stories. There’s just something about falling in love with your best friend. It’s like fast-forwarding the getting-to-know-you-phase, and just head onto the bedroom. LOL. Yea, you know there’s nothing wrong with that.
“What can I say? I fell in love,” I shrug. “I know it sounds totally corny but my heart belongs to her and I seriously can’t even consider having sex with anybody else.”
So this story takes place about three months after James and Lola finally declared their love for each other. Now that he’s with Lola, James has decided he can no longer remain in the porn business. He’s quite a big actor in the Adult Entertainment world and has had his share of a lot of women. Now that he’s retiring from this career, he’s getting more exposure. They’re in Las Vegas to attend the Adult Video Awards, where James is nominated for a ton Adult Video Awards, including Man of the Year. Lola is there to support him, but feels completely out of place.
I don’t belong here. I can’t hang with these people, go to events like this, watch spontaneous gangbangs pop up in corners, hear a vengeful slut tell me that I’ll never be enough for James…
Poor Lola. She is indeed out of her element here. First off, James is the only man she’s ever been sexual with and considers herself very inexperienced, especially considering James has probably slept with the majority of people at this award show. She is beyond intimidated by everything around her. Shit, I would be too. I mean, put yourself in her shoes: I felt awful for her when they started showing clips of all the nominees and the various positions there were all in. I would be mortified if I had to endure watching my boyfriend’s sex scenes, let alone watching it with a room full of people he probably fucked. Damn! I felt for her, but she held her own…at least for a little while. There were a lot of vengeful women hating her: It is because of her that their beloved James is leaving the business. Her anxiety is very understandable. Will she be enough for James?
“Seriously, let’s break this down,” I continue. “I’m getting beauty, brains, humor, crazy-ridiculous-insane hotness and that smart mouth that I love. You’re getting a guy who dropped out of college, who has no valuable skills, whose only claim to fame is having a big dick and who’s going to be shunned by real society the second I leave the Valley.
I love James. He loves Lola so much, it was so sweet to read. I love that he’s leaving the business for her. They really do belong together. The sex between James and Lola is still scorching and James just practically worships her, in and out of the bedroom. I just love him. However, I did have some gripes with the story. One: Lola’s constant giggling was grating on my nerves. I’ve never met a heroine who giggled as much as she did, even during some hot sex. WTF?! I wanted to slap her a few times and tell her to quit it. LOL. Two: I wanted to see more of possessive and jealous James. I love when men get all-primal and claim what’s theirs. Three: I wished it were a little longer. The drama towards the end could’ve been elaborated a little more, rather than Lola forgiving James immediately. Not that James did anything wrong, but I wished she had explained her concerns a little more. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this story and made a great addition to the series. I can’t wait for more :) -

I've literally read this series over the last 3 days.
I've fallen for James and Lola!
Their characters are fun & sexy.
They've also had to deal with the change in their relationship from friends to lovers.
James is a former porn star who has recently quit because he's fallen 'head over heals' in love with Lola, and can't even imagine touching another woman other than her.
Upon announcing his retirement from the business, James is nominated for a whole bunch of award at the AMA "Adult Movie Awards" including the coveted "Man of the Year" award.
James has asked Lola to accompany him to the award ceremony, which she agrees to do. How bad can it be.. right?
She's fine until James' nominations are being presented and she starts seeing clips of the scenes James has been nominated for.
By the end of the awards ceremony Lola is so out of her element.
She's sad, uncomfortable, and trying so hard to be happy for James because the awards are important to him.
He doesn't regret quitting, but he's happy to be acknowledged and awarded for his work.
Lola has some issues she has to sort out with James if their going to be able to continue with their relationship.
She has to be able to trust him with her heart, and not think of all the woman he's slept with.
I loved the story-line, characters and the writing of this story.
I have to admit that I've never read anything quite like this before, and I'm happy to say that I've stepped out of my comfort zone with this series.
I look forward to reading more work by Ms. Giovanni! -
It seriously only took me a few minutes to fall in love with James and that love has grown through all the books in this series. Now really, James is the ultimate book boyfriend, in that I mean a bit too good to be true! We are talkin’ 6’5 hot, sexy, porn star who has given up the porn life for the love of his life Lola. He is an amazing lover, super in tune to what Lola needs and wants and is all about her pleasure before his own!! Oh, and did I forget to mention INCREDIBLY WELL endowed?? I know, I told ya right, total fantasy!! It does hurt that this is how I see him in my head, and he is even described as closely resembling my actual fantasy lover, Jason Momoa!!

So, I've followed this series from the beginning. Lola and James are really fun, but a bit of an odd couple in terms of sex--he started young, and did well with all the ladies. So well, he's now a world famous porn star. She's only ever been with James--and that happened only recently. They've known each other nearly their whole lives and now that they are together, James says he's done making porn. I have to love James for making this decision. Really--because he's making bank on the movies, but he's so over the moon for Lola he won't even consider being with anyone else. Who COULDN'T love a guy like that? He has found love, and he shouts it from the rooftops.
Lola, on the other hand, is freaked. And with excellent cause. She "knows" James has had it all, and then some, but that's such and abstract concept. The stark reality of his sexual exploits--both on and off camera--gives Lola a bit of the creeps. Really. She's barely ever had sex--how can she possibly sate James' hunger? What if he wants some of that crazy bondage stuff like in his films? Or, threesomes? Or....uh, yes, Lola's vexed.
Attending the Awards, where James has been nominated for about seven thousand honors, is a peculiar challenge and Lola's Fifth Circle of Hell--watching James on screen over and over and over, pleasuring one woman after the next, is...excruciating. and nearly sends that beautiful gal running back to the Hollywood Hills.
There's some by-play with Lola, James and some of their rivals--imagine jealous porn stars still wanting a piece of James and trying to snatch a little of Lola's virtue--but the end is as sweet as a ripe watermelon. Well, except for Lola's mother calling to give James what-for on account of his most recent impetuous decision. I had a great time with this book. Though it's part of a series, it can stand alone. And the smexytimes are as sensual and generous as James' third leg. -
God I have to say I absolutely loved this whole series! If you haven't read this series and you are looking for the ultimate book boyfriend you needn't look further because James is the most ideal book boyfriend ever. I mean I am in love with him. I have serious book hangover thanks to him. I mean I'm not sure who will be able to compete with him...you getting my point!?
I just loved everything about this book. I'm a big fan of witty banter and characters that give each other shit and joke around with each other. Lola and James have this going on. They really are a fun couple.
We get to see the whole adult industry convention and awards which is interesting and how Lola handles it all. In some cases she handles it surprisingly well in other cases not so much...but we get to be in her head while she's going through something that is very much outside her comfort zone. There's so much more in this book and I am never one to review a book and tell exactly what's going on because I hate to ruin things...just know that Desired is a great 3rd part to this story...actually it could have ended with this one and I would be a happy girl but I hear there is more to come so yea more James!!!
Ladies give this author and this series a try...I think you will be happy you did! -
UGH! Bianca has done it to me again!
I swear I spent 30% of this book ugly crying. Like literally sobbing and couldn't stop.
Ok--here is the low down. James and Lola are best friends. James has always been a fuck and run type of guy. Lola knows this about him--and is just happy to have a best friend that is always there for her.
Well, inevitably they fall in love. Last book left off with them being together and James quitting is job for her--oh, did I forget to mention he was a porn star--like the most popular porn star.
Fast forward to this book and Lola finds herself having to go to the AVA's (Adult Video Awards) with James because he was nominated for EVERYTHING! Well, I could have told you THAT would be a mess.
Once the award show started Lola was a mess, um, they show CLIPS! Just like any awards show. As each clip runs Lola is more panic attacky, yeah I would be too. Thank god for the two gay besties! Trying to distract her. From that moment on I was sobbing. Lola's pain and emotions were seeping off the page at me. Take in mind I'm totally emotionally invested in these two, I feel like I know them on a personal level and would like to be friends with them.
Anyways--James knows something is wrong and Lola retreats to their room without telling him.
Well, the rest you are going to have to read them to find out on your own.
This series is original, brilliant, and the characters so rich they pop out at you and leave themselves in your heart. Yes, its an erotic romance book and the sexual content is high, but I LOVE these two! Even James--even when he's done something dumb! -
Bianca does it again and I absolutely love this series! What drew me in was a few factors: A very different story premise; JAMES; and the fact that he and Lola are best friends who slowly became lovers, what's better than that? Oh yeah, that James is a porn star at the top of his game!
What I love about this book is that James and Lola are coming full circle. He's trying so hard to be a good boyfriend, since he's never really been one. Taking her thoughts and feelings into consideration especially in the crazy world he's in. Lola is doing her best to navigate the waters of the industry that he is in and trying to keep her jealousy and inexperience at bay. She attends her first awards ceremony with James and this is really going to test her, test them.
Though James could care less about her "experience" and could have had his pick of ANY one, HE. CHOSE. HER! Let's face it, I don't think any of us have ever had a boyfriend who has sex on camera for a living, but I think the emotions of first love, jealousy, misunderstanding, nervousness, intentions and expectations are all feelings we can relate to.
As I mentioned, this book is part of a wonderful series that I highly recommend that you read ALL OF THEM, however, you could possibly read this as a standalone...but why would you! -
More of James and Lola and this time around, they are in a committed relationship and James is retiring from the porn industry. They get to attend an awards ceremony where James is nominated as Man of the Year. James only has eyes for Lola, his every waking thought is about how lucky he is to have her, how beautiful she is and doing whatever it takes to make her happy. I love this side of James, it is not dorky or sappy at all, it is him being in love and cherishing what they have because it is that valuable to him, otherwise there isn't anyone else in his life to live for even though he's famous and has several friends. Lola loves James back, her only hesitation is his reputation of having never been committed to anyone in the past and simply having fun with girls all of the time. Not to mention James' prowess in all things sexual while Lola is new to the scene and definitely not as adventurous in all the ways that James has experienced. She worries that she is not enough for him in the long term. If only she could see it from his POV like the reader does, she would see that there is no comparison to her, James has her on a pedestal. The awards ceremony and all the activities leading up to it are an eye opener to Lola and she handles it as well as someone could in her position. It is all very awkward for her and understandably so. James is just happy to be nominated for so many awards and to share the momentous occasion with her that he's got blinders on with how bizarre the situation is for Lola. What I enjoyed about this book was the communication aspect between James and Lola, how open they were with each other even if one was upset with the other. James could read Lola's nonverbal body language and knew not to push her but he was very protective of her, too. Perhaps there were women out there that had a piece of James that Lola didn't have, but Lola also had so much history with him and saw the whole of him as a person and not just the celebrity persona. James' past and his career is not something most people deal with in a serious relationship and Lola really had to push herself out of her comfort zone with this when it was in her face. There's a lot of playful and hot and steamy but also sensitive and compassionate between the two of them. This was another great book and looking forward to the next step in the story of their lives together.

4.5 stars. Bianca Giovanni is a superb author. Like all Omnific novels, this is a well edited story. This was a challenge read for me as I have strong feelings about the pornography subject, specifically how women are perceived and treated - a vessel for a man's pleasure and nothing else. Once I got out of my 'good-girl panties,' this was an enjoyable read.
I won't regurgitate the story. Suffice to say the characters are dealing with intense emotional upheaval. Their situation kept me hooked. Well, plus the totally steamy sex scenes. The heat sizzles. Bianca is an expert in pulling the reader, mind and body, into the bedroom and lounges and other assorted locations where all kinds of debauchery and tender passion takes place. Furthermore, while every erotic scene was orgasmically sensual, there was a minimum of profanity (well, less than I expected), and the sleaze factor never registered (except for a few minor dirt bag characters).
What I would have liked was (1) more depth of the two main characters, and (2) a clearer identification of the plot conflict in the beginning. (3) Also, the fact the two main characters didn't include/notify family in an important event made them appear selfish and a bit cowardly, which seemed a bit out of character for them. Up until then, I thought they were pretty awesome people. Therefore, I knocked half a point off the rating.
I truly enjoyed this fun read. I recommend it to readers who look for erotica, romance, adult novels. -
I'm so sad now. No the book isn't sad (well maybe the ending is...because that means there isn't anymore to read). I devoured this series! I know that Miss Bianca is writing more but I am having withdrawals from James & Lola...and it's only been 12 hours! I may need to admit myself into a program! Again the thing that I love the most about these two are they don't hold things in. They don't expect that the other person should know why they are mad. They talk things out. And for all the ladies who are Christian Grey fans...I think he has nothing on my James (yes I may just steal him from Lola)! So until the next story I will sadly read elsewhere and compare all other couples to these two.

I felt for poor Lola at the awards ceremony. It would be so hard to see your boyfriend in all kinds of porn movies and meeting the women who had fucked him. Yikes.
I loved the ending and see where Bianca could continue with the series.
Even though Ethan was James' rival, I think he is a good guy and I'd like to see more of him (pun intended) in the next book. I would have liked to see Rick get his comeuppance though. -

Oh Lordy. TORTURE this was! Gosh darn James, can't you get it right?! I'm beside myself. He has put me on an emotional rollercoaster of love/hate. How does he not understand what comes out of his mouth? At this point they live together and James is on cloud nine. There were so many moments I loved. He and Lola are phenomenal together. He is sexy as hell and knows how to hammer it home. Eventually he pisses me off all over again or maybe it's best to say pisses me off MORE!
The two go to Sin City for the Adult Video Awards. Yep that's right. They're lovers now and she attends this with him. First of all, this bitch right here would say hell no! Oh but our James is up for gazillions of porn awards in many categories including MAN OF THE YEAR against his rival Ethan Hunt and our girl Lola wants to be there for support. He is so excited as is she.
So yeah, that's when her devotion to him is so damn clear! Now I hate her for her stupidity to sit there and watch her man oh and video cuts of the winning performances. Let me tell you, they are graphic and disgusting as they're nominated, and I'd be humiliated if I were Lola. There are many Ghosts of Pussy Past But the one I despise the most is Tara FUCKING Morgan.

There were so many times that James should have intervened with his nasty dicks past not just for Lola, but for himself, if he didn't care to visit that shit again. BUT, the entire time, I know Lola was all that mattered and he needed her to breath but his dumbass just did not get it! AGAIN and AGAIN! Then Tara Morgan pulls a stunt at the awards. Lola sees it. Fucked up again James. Eventually lover boys (Chad & Alejandro) come to the rescue.

Book three (3) of this wonderful series had me captivated. Bianca has allowed us, the reader, to be spectators in the love storm of passion and the insecurities of Lola and James relationship. This book provided me with knowledge of the Las Vegas Porn Convention. And yes folks, I looked it up and it is very much really. And the ticket prices are reasonable. I digress...
The book shows how young James and Lola are in adulthood, at heart, and with relationship. They have known each other for years but they are still learning about one another as a relationship. They are also learning about themselves and what they want out of life.
Two gorgeous people who are sexually compatible and viral. The sex in the book is off the charts! Well, he is a porn star. No statement of disappointment was verbalized here. LOL.
I must give a honorary mention to the supporting cast of characters. They were a great bunch that give these young love birds insight and reality checks in their relationships. The words they provide to James and Lola are so profound and I believe redefine their thought process, which ultimately has them making some important decisions.
I am so needy regarding this series. Bianca has developed my palette to a new kind of book. A new style and storyline that has me squirming. I have not found another series like this. Sweet and smut (trademark that, lol). The story is fresh and exciting. With the other characters and how well they are written, I could so see a branch of their stories; possibly having their own stories. Just a thought, just a thought.
I am happy to have recently heard that this series is going to be going forward.
When I think of James and Lola, I only believe that Grey and Ana have some serious competition.

Let me begin this review with what I love about Bianca Giovanni as a writer! First off, the girl can write a sex scene...well, very well! However, it's her character development, and the depth of the world she creates, which allows us to not only step into, but to live in it. Her dialog is never forced or wasteful. Every sentence of dialog makes total sense and feels completely genuine. I see what her characters see, and feel what they feel. That, my friends, is an author worth getting attached to.
Now on to 'Desired'! Loved this book! Lola and James are in a committed relationship now and James is ready to step away from his porn career, because Lola is all the women he will ever need. Sounds great, right? Well, if you are as big a porn super star as James, it doesn't just happen with a snap of your fingers. The porn world will miss James and in a gesture of thanks, they honor him with "The Man Of The Year" award. James is thrilled with this award and so happy to be at this event with Lola, but Lola soon finds this experience to be more than she can handle. She has to sit through the entire award show watching clip after clip of James doing his thing with various female stars. How on earth do you watch all that and pretend to be happy for him? Alcohol, lots of alcohol! Thankfully Chad and Alejandro are there to help her through it, but Lola can't handle it...and who could? Everywhere she looks she is in a strange world, where her man is the king and she has to somehow keep it together. (Side note: I had to drink right along with Lola during that damn award show)! This series just has a hold on me and I'm in it for the long haul! Well done Bianca! PS- I am so intrigued by the porn industry now, I find I'm watching documentaries about it on Netflix. -
Another great installment from Ms Bianca Giovanni! I can’t get enough of Lola and James!
Their sweetness and easy affection towards each other are natural and though it was repeatedly written
of, I didn’t tire of it.
Ms Giovanni really wrote of the adult film industry very well and I could clearly picture the awards night.
I got to see it through James’s and Lola’s eyes and there really are different facets of sexual intercourse.
They’ve been through a lot here and problems couldn’t help but arise, especially when your boyfriend’s
a porn star. Tara Morgan, whom we saw in the first novel, is still fixated on him and she causes problems
here I wanted to bitch slap her.
I also liked the Manny Pacquiao reference, I’m from the Philippines and one of those proud to call the
“pambansang kamao” (national fist), ours.
Back to Lola and James, the love scenes between them are emotionally charged, which is the best part.
It’s cause they love each other deeply that makes it more beautiful, and not just an itch to scratch. There
was one hot episode which wasn’t elaborated but was mentioned in passing, where Lola flipped the TV
off when James was watching a football game and just had her way with him.
I’m excited about the developments since according to our dear author, she has more in store for us!
Yay for Lola and James, no couple deserves happiness more. -
James and Lola are back and they are better than ever. The life-long friends are finally a couple and James is retiring from the adult film industry to finally settle down with the love of his life, Lola. They have their bumps in the road (including and interesting experience at the annual adult video awards/convention, where Lola has his porn life thrust in her face), but they love each other and they manage to stay strong.
This is probably my favorite of the series as James and Lola finally come together as a couple, which is something I'd hoped for since book one.
James and Lola are funny and definitely HOT and the love they share is evident throughout the book.
Looking forward to what's next for this sexy and sweet couple.

I enjoyed this continuation of the series. Lola was completely out of her depth with this aspect of James's old life. I can't say I wouldn't feel the same. I dig how much he loves Lola, but it would be fun if he did push her a little bit sexually.
I hope he takes a college course of something because I just want him to be a little bit smarter. Especially now that he has left the porn bubble.
We shall see where their next journey takes them. -
WOWWWW!!!What a book. I LOVED it.
In this one we get to see more of Lola and James relationship deeper. They go to Vegas for the Awards. Lola gets a piece of the porn world. At times she struggles with it, but James was always there to be with her.
The love between them is powerful. I felt every single word. I feel like Im intruding in their intimate lives, but it was wonderful to see the passion and love they have for eachother.
I cant wait for more. -
I've read all the books so far about James and Lola. They are too cute and I have really enjoyed these books. Hope there will be more of them soon because I can't seem to get enough of their story which started when they were younger and lived next to each other, through their friendship, how they tried to fight their feelings for each other to actually getting together and then enduring some rough patches. Loved it all!

Vice, Virtue & Video: Desired was a sweet love story about how a woman must learn to overcome her boyfriend's past life and her own insecurities in order for their love to last. Lola and James' chemistry was hot and their love for each other sweet.

The only real criticism I give this book is she is sort of a prude. It really bugged me.
I wouldn't be able to handle a pornstar boyfriend, it would kill me. She's so closed minded on anything other than vanilla sex its kind of boring. I'm sure he's bored too deep down. You can't just go from screwing in every position in every hole and enjoy it to not doing anything anymore. Be realistic.
She just annoyed me in the prudish sense. Lighten up. Experiment. No one said you had to love everything.
She also got over shit pretty quick. I'd still be hurt and upset about some things even if it's part of his past and you love him for him. It's still hurtful.
