Well this book had some major changes. A lot of character admittance's on all parts. Mookyul starts to be more honest (and demanding!!) in what he wants, Jiho has several confessions to make (we also see a devilish side to him) and even Ewon has to admit some truths to them both. And even more to himself. I liked getting a look into characters in more depth. While I loved many aspects to this Mookyuls assaulting behavior starts to tick me off even more. I don't blame Ewon for trying to evade him. He cannot always just get what he wants when and how he wants. Ugh! Someone but this punk in his place. We don't get much from the other minor characters this time. Very MC centric.

Ooh, these just keep getting better and better! A lot of hot stuff going on in this one. Mookyul is such a hottie, even for a psycho.

    My favorite line:

"Didn't you say I was your fucking chocolate?" ~ Mookyul

    3.5/5

It's messy and definitely makes me uncomfortable at times, but the comedy, the gorgeous characters, and the glimpses we get of genuine feelings and tenderness, keep me hooked.

"Totally Captivated" remains today as one of my favorite yaoi manga - why? It is fast-paced. It is romantic. It is sad, it is hysterical. I cried and laughed, blushed and rolled my eyes.

Mookyul and Ewon...I just ship them so bad. There's that as well.

Not only were the back-stories brilliant, and the main characters brilliant in themselves...but all the side characters were just as deep and amazing!

And the plot! Oh my, the plot!

Above all, the series was brilliant. By the end, I was, indeed, "Totally Captivated."

    Me encanta.

Hey, yeah, why am I reading this again? Now that I'm older, I see just how creepy and bad this relationship is. Ohhh, why does this genre always do this... Anyway, yeah, not a healthy relationship, so I keep wincing.

In volume 3 of Totally Captivated, the two main characters each resolve their relationships with Shin JiHo, who confesses who he really loves. He's a favorite character of mine, so I was glad to see some focus on him in this book.

The art is fantastic and so is the comedy. There was a little bit of cheating going on I think, but it was handled... strangely. That's the only reason I rated it down a star.

When Hajin Yoo deals with the complexity of romantic emotions, she's brilliant, but when she falls back on no-means-yes, not so much. Then again, we are spending time with gangsters here.

Ehh I would probably eaten that up had I been younger but the overly-possessive, pushy lover thing is really toxic.

The plot is still a bit non-existent. But alas. At least the characters have more backbone now

yeah i still have no clue what’s going on so that’s that,, didn’t care for the plot or the characs much (including the “romance” which uh) . art is okay tho the characs do suffer from pointy chin syndrome lolz

I love Jiho (Jiho Shin), sweet girlish young man with long hair and gentle behaviour! He university student, also around twenty and classmate of main hero... He is pretty as maiden :o), small and slender (around 60 kilos), physically weak and tender and really lady-like :o), but very clever, intelligent and strong-willed. And honest. And sometimes a bit mischievous (which is usually very funny, because he is such cute sweet little beat...) He is main hero´s ex, but still cares for him (and still loves him, but can´t not bear to be alway cheated by him). One of sweetest character which I ever have seen. :o) I love him!
I felt so sorry for him... Hero loves him very much, but his (hero´s) infidelity is for him like terrible curse or uncurable disease. He can´t help himself to chat on him and he wants for Jiho better lover in his stead, because he really wants to be Jiho happy, and he understands that with him there is no chance for it...
I wish happiness for this boy! My poor darling, little sweet darling Jiho...
He is clear inspiration for Zesty Tastee in GlobalManga Zesty(who is a bit younger, plus with very different plot: he noble eko-terrorist from wealthy family who fights with his own greedy father for sake of Earth - sweet, but a lot more crazy than Jiho, who is rather common "femme", a bit feminine and very elegant young gay man). I love Zesty very much, but I prefer older and more mature Jiho. :o)
Jiho is for me most precious treasure from this manhwa. And plot about cheating, pain from it, sadness, and love is very interesting. Yes, plus some interesting krimi things, which remind me on Viefinder series. :o) Hard-boiled relationship of hero and Jiho´s new lover who wants hero instead him (poor Jiho, poor thing!) is very Viefinder-like. (Only subplot with Jiho is original - and VERY original and interesting!). Artwork of this manhwa, without amazing angel-like Jiho, resembles Junjou Romantica, not very my cup of tea. But Jiho is my main joy there. :o)

I like the art, Mookyul and Ewon interacting and Mookyul. As the story goes on he is more and more interesting I wish I knew what was going on in his head. Ewon still annoys me. They move in together so Ewon could be closer to school and have better living conditions. Mookyul wants to sleep with Ewon but Ewon keeps refusing, why I don't really understand other then to creat some drama. Mookyul around Ewon is interesting he wants him but is holding back, he shows his affection roughly and is very possessive.

    2nd Read: 3 Stars
This just didn't really work for me. I found Mookyul's obsessive behavior to just completely cross the line in this volume. I know that this is all for entertainment value, but I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with how forceful he was with Ewon. I also didn't appreciate Ewon cheating on Mookyul, if you care about someone, you don't do that (even if it's just fondling). However, there were some really funny and cute scenes, hence why my rating is a three.

    1st Read: 4 Stars

Interesting storyline with a plot that kept me interested throughout the whole series. The two main characters, Ewon and Mookyul, grew on me as the story went on. Their love story is not without its funny moments, with bits of angst thrown in too. Certain moments will make you laugh out loud while others will tug at your heart strings. The artist did such a good job of blending both. This manhwa is definitely one for keeps.

I was very entertained - dare I say totally captivated (snicker) - by this series! The relationship between Ewon and Mookyul develops nicely from beginning to end of the series. Both are flawed characters, and handled very well. The secondary characters and situations fill in the story without detracting from it. A good read. This review repeats for the whole series. :D

Totally Captivated is one of the few amazing Korean manwhas and it's a well- thought story. Beautiful art and very likable characters. I've reread this series countless times and I still love it everytime.

    Funny!!!!!!!

I think I laughed more from this volume than the others. I wasn't sure if I wanted to read this manga, but it has been a great read. Can't wait to see what happens next.
