Got invested in this relationship but too short and the cut off leaves something to be desired..

Don't bother. This book is nothing more than a chapter; and it's not just a cliffhanger, you're dropped off the top of Mt. Everest. The story probably has some potential, but the plot is a little far fetched and the writing is a little weak. I would have like to have finished the story, but there hasn't been a follow-up in almost eleven months. That would be okay if I was waiting for another book, but not for just another chapter.
