A loner at heart...
Morgan McKenzie has been on her own since she ran away from a nightmarish foster home at the age of sixteen. Afraid to put down roots again only to be hurt once more, Morgan prefers to be constantly on the move. Until she is inexplicably pulled to the small Irish town of Grace's Cove. Before she knows it, Morgan is settling in and forming relationships for the first time in her life. Determined to keep her walls up to protect both her heart and the touch of magick she carries, Morgan fights against her growing attraction for the town's golden boy, Patrick Kearney.
Patrick can't keep his eyes off of Morgan. Since the moment he saw Morgan across the dance floor at Keelin's wedding, Patrick has been lost. Pulled in by her beauty and vulnerability, Patrick's frustration grows as his advances are continually rebuffed.
As Morgan rebels against her feelings for Patrick, she is swept into a battle against her own worst demons.
Wild Irish Rebel is a stand-alone novel and can be read on its own.

Wild Irish Soul is the second book in the Mystic Cove series by Tricia O'Malley. This series transports the reader into a mystical world on the rocky shores in Ireland, where women have magical gifts passed down from their ancestral female descendants. In each book, the heroine must face revealing her gift to the man she has fallen in love with, hoping that he can accept this oddity.

Tricia O'Malley presents an entertaining and captivating place in an extraordinary world. Morgan definitely felt conflicting emotions based on her past experiences. And Patrick was surely a knightly specimen in this day and age.
Wild Irish Rebel is a stand-alone novel and can be read on its own. I would recommend this book series to other readers who enjoy this type of genre.

Overall this was an enjoyable light read, but one that didn't tightly grip my attention.
I did like the characters, although there were occassions where Patrick really annoyed me. Plus I felt as I read, and then finished that the story could have had a lot more depth and the characters developed far more. It felt like the characters and story could have gone a lot further than either did.
This is the first book I've read in the series (and it's book 4) but luckily it can be read standalone-ish. Will be reading the first book to see if depth is achieved there (book 1 is currently free on amazon). -
An orphaned descendent of Grace O'Malley shows up in town and she is stronger than all the women combined with a bit of each of their gifts along with the ability of telekinesis on top of it all, but she has been badly abused and is extremely distrustful of anyone and everyone. Can the hot bartender in town break through her walls or will she cut and run....you'll have to read and see, but be prepared for laughter, tears and so much more! I can't wait to download the next book in the series to listen to next!

I am now flying through this series! Thank you Audible!! LOL
Now, this one follows Morgan. We got a glimpse of her in the last couple of books. She has arrived to town and it seems she has powers too so that means she is somehow related to the previous characters. Poor Morgan was abandoned when she was a babe so she has no idea who she is or where she comes from. Poor girl was an orphan in a Catholic orphanage and they treated her horribly because she has powers. She is a jack of all magic trades. She has a touch of mind-reading and healing. She also has the awesome power of telekinesis. Patrick is a beloved local boy who has been drawn to her since he had seen her at the wedding for Keelin.
I understood why Morgan was the way she was, but she was horrible to Patrick. Yes, Patrick had some issues being patient, but he never pushed her in anything. Morgan has never been a relationship so she has a lot of rough edges and she is constantly pushing Patrick away. PLUS they are 18, so they are young and dumb on top of it all. Young love.
I enjoyed watching Morgan fall in love with the town, Patrick, and herself. She had a lot of demons to fight and everyone is there to help her.
There was one part near the end that had me yelling and I did shed some tears! Ugh! Luckily this is a HEA type of book, so I knew somehow, some way it would be fixed. Thank goodness, but I was really scared!!! I cannot say what, but I was worried!
The narrator is the same as the previous ones and she was flawless. After this series is done I must listen to more by her.
In the end, I was frustrated with these two characters, but they had a lot to work through especially Morgan. It fit well and I enjoyed the journey. There was a lot of feels in this one. I am sad because I am nearly done with the series. I think there are 2 books left? SAD! But a good series that I highly recommend. I'll stamp this with 4 stars. -
Another descendant comes to town! This one has had a hard life after being orphaned and is so very scared of rejection!! Her life hasn’t been easy and she is very shy because she fears any relationships!! She has her powers as well and that has her scared that no one will ever want her! The other girls and Fiona step in!! You have to read to find out who she really is!!
-
Such a floofy bit of a read, but soooo much angst! The MC is all up in her own head and it's kind of a drag. It was so bad, I thought her self-loathing and lack of self-worth was going to turn out to be some sort of curse put on her, but nope. She just fucking hates herself. A real bummer to read.
-
It felt like this one was rushed and had no depth to it.... didn't like it as much as the others.
-
Didn't think I was going to like it as much as the last one but , I did. Now on to the next in this wonderful series
-
Applause, applause....standing ovation!!!
I've read every one of the wonderful Mystic Cove series. I learned yesterday that Morgan's book was out a nd instantly downloaded it. My heart broke for her from the start. Protective like a hedgehog, she keeps everyone at bay for fear if getting hurt. Growing up alone and orphaned with nobody else gifted around her....suffice to say she had a tough and brutal childhood. Opening up to anyone, let as lone Fiona and her "girls" would not 've easy. Yet like an onion they broke through her fears and insecurities layer by layer. Switching those layers with family, trust and friendship. Slowly our sharp little morgan blossomed into this kick butt amazing young woman. She formed her own family, found live, and a few surprises along the way.
As with the previous Mystic Cove books, this book upped the ante just that small bit. If you haven't read the others it isn't required, but you WILL understand the book much better after reading the others. It can only enhance said experience. This story was a joy to read. For me each time I read a Mystic Cove book it's like going out for drinks with friends. Catching up, laughing, crying and leaving wanting a little more time. I can only hope and pray for more Mystic Cove books to come.....and SOON?!?! -
I was excited to pick this book up on sale, and delve back into the world that Tricia O’Malley had built with Wild Irish Heart. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series, and the short story Wild Irish Roots. Which only served to highlight my disappointment as I read Wild Irish Rebel.
The story didn’t read as a final draft, it felt like a first draft that still needed work. There were also formatting issues with the ebook, that I feel should have been caught before being put up for sale. But the real issue I have with this book is centered around Patrick’s character.
His relationship with Morgan throws up red flags all over the place, and I can’t believe that we as readers are supposed to be sympathetic to him, and root for him to get the girl. Personally, I think Morgan should have ran the other way.
He has anger issues, he emotionally pushes and pulls on her, forces her into situations that she’s not ready to handle, and he gives her a promise ring so she won’t run. And no one calls him out for it.
This is not the kind of story that you want someone to use as a role model for relationships. -
Absolutely loved how quick and easy this story read. What a fun fast read?! Enjoyed the touch of magic in the story. This was my first Mystic Cove Series book to read and I can’t wait to read more!

Rating: 3 - 3.5 stars
As a lover of relationship angst, I enjoyed being told Patrick has had eyes and hope on one day Morgan making a move on him. In fact, this handsome man lost all interest in other women when he met her awhile back at a wedding. Overall, he was a caring, patient, understanding, good guy though he was quick a time or two to be a knucklehead himself. Morgan's back and forth willingness then reluctance to embrace happiness did get tiresome. She was the epitome of a "Woe is me" type person and seemed to be bogged down with self loathing because she always felt no one could like her let alone love her. She truly needed to learn to love herself first, folks. This lass lived in her own head probably more so than out of it.
There was a great cast of supporting sub-characters. I liked seeing them all have Morgan's back but their connection to her wasn't all that in-depth. I still liked them nonetheless. They all seemed to be a united front and belong together.
This was a pretty good, quick, entertaining read for me except for a few notable quirks. The frequent mention of past mean nuns, priests at the revolving door orphanage Morgan kept finding herself got old. It makes me wonder if it was intentional jabs against the Catholic Church or an unintentional consequence, oversight from this topic being brought up repetitively. There is an underlying paranormal, witchcraft undertone/element weaved into the story line, as well.
There was what I consider a pretty far out there, "Say What?", catastrophic accident thrown in near the end that #1 Didn't seem survivable #2 Involved a sub-character that to me felt wrong. Sorry, I can't say more least I give too much away.
I tend to overlook grammar/editing because I normally review advanced reader copies. As this was a final edition Kindle Unlimited version, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the bumpy start in regards to a lack pronouns. Fortunately, that aspect got better relatively soon.
All in all, I'm glad this good guy got his girl, and she finally allowed herself to be happy. After all, it is the HEAs that always win me over in the end.

Wild Irish Rebel is book four in the Mystic Cove series by Tricia O’Malley. This delightful series takes place in Ireland where magic is possible. It is a great series about the descendants of Grace O’Malley, pirate and mystic being. It brings the tales of Ireland to life.
Morgan McKensie had a hard life. She was abandoned by her Mother and put into foster care. Here, because of her powers which were unchecked and of which she wasn’t entirely aware, she was shuttled from home to home. When she was in the church orphanage, they tried exorcism on her as they decided the Devil was in her. Once on her own, Morgan trusted no one and was full of anger. Something inside her brought her to Grace’s Cove. She went to work for Aislinn as a clerk but soon took over her store, rearranging it and making things easier to see to sell. It was while she was rearranging that Aislinn discovered her talent- levitating. She tried to get Morgan to get in touch with Fiona, Keelin’s grandmother, who had helped Aislinn in controlling her own talents. Morgan resisted this. However, she kept working for Aislinn. Would she ever come to grips with her powers? -
This is a great summer read. Magic, romance, family ties and an orphan child coming into her own. This is just a pleasurable read perfect for a hot summer day. It takes your mind away from hot, sticky, humid weather to the cool shores of Grace’s Cove in Ireland, the fourth book in the mystic cove series. If you like to be entertained, this book certainly does the trick. I chose this book to read now because I just wanted to believe, for a little while, in the power of women who heel, perform extraordinary feats of magic and who believe in the centuries old traditions of family bonds above all else. This book entertains and at the same time leaves you feeling soothed and happy, the perfect antidote for these trying times. I suggest you run away to Ireland for a brief time and just enjoy being swept away by magic and romance.

In Book One: Wild Irish Heart, the reader is introduced to Keelin O’Brien, who travels from Boston to a small village on the coast of Southern Ireland called Grace’s Cove. Keelin meets her grandmother Fiona and learns that she, too, is part of the family’s inherited magical tradition. The cove is filled with secrets, and Keelin is determined to understand the magick found in the enchanted waters of the cove. This book sets up most of the characters for the subsequent novels.
With each new book, we’re introduced to characters found in the previous book who also possess some interesting power given by the magick of the cove. As the story progresses, we learn more of Grace, the pirate queen who bewitched the cove long ago. It is through her lineage; the women are all connected. -
Tricia O'Malley has a good way of creating characters I can connect with. I really felt for Morgan as she struggled to come to terms with her relationships and her powers. However, her powers were too exaggerated and the romance wasn't very exciting, but the friendships were much more interesting. After reading this I got a bit tired of the series and had to take a long break before I decided to continue on. I debated whether or not to continue and if perhaps it would have been enough to have a trilogy instead of a series. The previous books were much better. However, there were aspects of the book that I really liked, so I couldn't give up on the series just yet.

Jaysus Mary & Joseph
Lass, better & better by the page. Like the true Irish Tricia O’Malley has kissed the Blarney Stone so many times she’s worn a big dent in it shaped like her lips. If’n ya don’t believe me, the next time you kiss it look to the left & you’ll see her lips there with the initials TO’M .
Incredible just like all the rest, love, aggravation, short tempers, & just a wee bit of action which had me chewing my nails.
A must read like all the rest. She takes me home to try once again to find Grace’s Cove & my soul which I left there over 2,000 years ago -
Phenomenal author, fantastic read
Tricia O'Malley is a very talented author whose stories draw the reader in, holding them spellbound until the very end.
The storyline is very easy to follow, and the characters are relatable. A few times I wished she'd given them a little more depth, so I could see them better in my mind's eye. This story also seemed a little rushed at the end, in my opinion.
Overall, a great read that I'd recommend to anyone looking for some magic, some love, and a few hours to spend! -
Morgan, my favorite
Morgan’s story resonated so strongly, it easily became my favorite of the series. Beautifully written, full of angst, emotion, love and lasting.
If you haven’t read this series yet, don’t fret! Start now. Once again I read this book in one sitting. The stories are captivating and so full of simple yet intricate stories of learning how to love and fit… the puzzle pieces click together one by one as Tricia O’Malley builds the tales and brings them to a close. Her writing is mesmerizing.
Do yourself a favor, start reading! -
Wonderful, beautiful, touching, captivating ... there are no words that fully describe how Ms. O'Malley makes me feel when reading these books. I've always wanted to visit Ireland and see the rolling green hills, cliffs, and sea. This is the Ireland I can picture as I read this series. Ms. O'Malley takes me there in vivid pictures. The scenery, the people, the intertwined past and present of a mystic Celtic lifestyle thrills me. Best ever series.

Morgan’s story! Morgan was an Orphan who by chance was also a descendant of Grace. Not realizing that she moved to Grace’s Cove into a community full of people who are gifted just like her. Morgan struggles with accepting herself and letting others in. Patrick easily accepts her and wants to move forward with a relationship with Morgan. This was a fun read for those of you who enjoy a little magic.

By the fourth book in this series, I’ve about had it with whiny, angry women.
Martin Luther said we should always put the best possible construction on what people say. These women (obviously) haven’t heard Martin Luther. They always put the worst possible construction on just about everyone says to them — especially for that person is the H. And if it’s not easy to put the worst possible construction on something, they work really hard at it so they can succeed in being “w”itches. -
Love and hope prevails
I have binge read the first 4 books of this series and this one has been my favorite of all. To show how the love of not quite sisters in a sweet Irish village mends the heart and mind of a girl who once had nothing and helps her create a life of her own. I absolutely love this series! There’s nothing more romantic and Magick than Ireland. Tricia takes you there and then some. -
Very Interesting Continuation of this Series
I love series books and thus author does better than most on intertwining upcoming and previous characters into each current book. While I am definitely not in agreement with the author's underlying comments about Christianity and religion, this was a very fun book to read.
