When Dr. Katerina Silverton travels into the Pine Barrens to make a documentary on the Jersey Devil, she doesn’t believe she will find evidence of anything supernatural. However, Kat soon finds herself face to face with the very creature she was sent into the forest to capture on film.
In Ancient Greece, the god Pan made a terrible mistake which resulted in the creation of a race of immortal satyrs. Centuries later, he lives secluded in the Pine Barrens, frightening the mortals by taking the guise of an abhorrent local monster. When a beautiful woman shows up in his forest looking for proof of his existence, Pan can’t resist revealing himself to her.
But outside forces may be manipulating them both, pushing them together for nefarious reasons. Kat must decide if she could learn to love a satyr or if his appearance is more than she can handle. Can she resist Pan’s wicked nature, or will she give into the temptations beyond her wildest fantasies?

What a delicious twist on ancient Greek myths while still maintaining a modern air! I love the way Ms. Lewis blended them both seamlessly together right from the get-go.
Dr. Katerina Silverton is on the mend from an attack that should’ve never happened. She knew better than to get that close to the cougar’s kits. So after months of licking her wounded pride, she decided to take a less than appealing offer from Mr. Dion Bach, a rich CEO of a film company on the hunt for evidence of the Jersey Devil.
It had to be a joke, right? But it wasn’t. So tempted by the handsome offer of funding for future research projects, she packed up with her two closest friends and headed into the Pine Barrens. And little did she know that she would get so much more than she bargained for.
The Satyr Pan has lived in the Pine Barrens for hundreds of years now, scaring the few humans stupid enough to stumble into his endless forest. Yes, he might be responsible for a few urban legends but immortality is boring and humans are so entertaining. But nothing could have prepared him for Dr. Katerina Silverton. Tempting him in ways that no other has for centuries, she is a blessing and a threat to his solitary existence because an old enemy is coming for him. Will this feisty redhead be an alley or his greatest downfall?
I adore the banter between the characters and the author’s ability to mix modern slang with some of the oldest Greek myths. There were moments of humor and steamy chemistry between Pan and Kat; I mean toe-curling steamy! Gah! The ending leaves you wanting more . . . so much more! These wicked Satyrs have me completely bespelled. Can’t wait for the next one. -
Loved this book, it had a bit of everything, mythology, attraction, humour, hot sex, and action.
Kat is a sceptic when sent to investigate a paranormal creature.....that is until she meets him! Pan is a satyr, living a curse, he has horns and hooves, the rest of him is pure manliness, and he has the good looks to go with it!
I spent most the time smiling while reading this book, as Kat is very sarcastic and disses most things she's told. Pan has some tales to tell and they will make you smile. As the story goes on they get closer but danger lurks.
There was the odd spelling mistake (which could be due to it being an arc) but the story was so entertaining I could overlook them easily.
If your looking for a paranormal romance Mixed with some humour pick up this great read.
I'll definitely be checking out authors other work.
Four vampy and racey stars.

How does a 21st Century woman handle meeting a man from myth? I’ve always enjoyed stories out of Greek mythology and I love how Rebekah Lewis has given it a modern twist. The idea that the Gods of ancient Greece were real and have been living among us for years is a wonderful set-up to a story that is both entertaining and very emotional. There are so many great details like folding in our modern urban legends into the real life curses of old as well as the thought of what Gods would be doing with their immortality (I probably wouldn’t have guessed Business mogul). I really loved how the relationship between Pan and Kat developed even with the heaviness of his curse and its side effects always bearing down on them. Having a main character as a satyr could have pushed the intimate scenes into the realm of weird, but there was such a realness to Pan’s character that I never thought about how different he would be to human eyes. Love is love no matter its form.

This is my first book by this author and will not be my last. I really enjoyed this book. Wonderful characters. Great chemistry. Narration was amazing. Love Greek mythology.

While looking for a new Paranormal Romance series to read, I happened upon Rebekah Lewis’ name/book while reading another author’s Facebook post. I was intrigued with the description I read for “The Cursed Satyroi” series and decided to give it a go. I have always loved Greek mythology since I was a child, and I’m not looking for the usual vampire or werewolf thing. The first book in the series – Wicked Satyr Nights – was amazing! Action, romance (ahem – hot sex), good vs. evil, humor – this book has exactly what I want in a PR novel.
When the book begins, we’re introduced to Katerina Silverton; a zoologist who is hired by a wealthy gentleman to film a documentary on the “mythical” Jersey Devil – an area way out of her expertise – but a job she accepts because she needs the money to film other documentaries. While in NJ – we meet the Greek God Pan, the devil in question. He’s spent decades/centuries scaring people as the “JD” in the Pine Barrens out of amusement and boredom. So when Kat happens to show up with her friends to film the documentary, he is not surprised that he is being sought out. But he is surprised to find himself instantly wanting her.
Throughout the story, we learn how Pan came to become a Satyr – a being with a partial animal form (furry lower legs, hooves for feet, horns on the head), and about the rest of the Satyroi. We also find that Kat’s new boss has ulterior motives for sending her to New Jersey, and he is not who he claims to be. He is actually the God Dionysus, and he is plotting against Pan, along with other Satyroi who want to do harm against him, in his quest to find a magical instrument he believes Pan is hiding.
I loved how the author wove the mythology throughout the story; it gave the reader plenty of background information while still allowing the reader to see more of the budding relationship forming between Pan and Kat. The circumstances of how they came to become acquainted was quite entertaining, and I thought the plot moved along well – there wasn’t any lulls in the story. Pan’s character was funny, sweet, and with just enough alpha male. He has been through so much through the centuries; it would be hard not to like him once we know his true character. I liked Kat as well; it was amusing reading about how her logical side kept losing out to her instincts and desires when it came to Pan. One could only try to understand what Kat is feeling as she tries to overcome Pan’s appearance as she feels herself drawn closer to him.
For a first story in the series, I felt it laid the groundwork well in terms of the history of the Satyroi and the current day conflict. But it also paid more than enough attention to the romantic relationship and some very steamy scenes between Pan and Kat. Although we do get a sort of happy ending for Pan and Kat (I hope this won’t be the last we read about these two), we know the story doesn’t end here, and I’m already excited to see how the underlying conflict of the series flows into the next book.
I would rate this book 4/4.5 out of 5 stars. There were a few moments where I felt Katerina’s sarcasm was a little lame (some jokes fell flat), and there was a couple of weird typos/grammatical errors. But otherwise, the story was great and I would recommend it to others looking for a paranormal romance series to try. -

Wicked Satyr Nights was a good read, I can’t say I have read much about Satyrs and I liked the change it brought.
I thought all of the characters were interesting but Pan was definitely my favourite, he had a great blend of witty humour, arrogance, cockiness, self-assuredness, confidence and smexiness all rolled into one….creating a fine love interest with a lot more going on than you think and making a great match for Katerina; for she herself could hold her own in the wit/sarcasm department and gave Pan a run for his money. Alone, these characters are okay but together… they heat up the pages with sexual tension & longing. I liked that even though there is an instant connection, they don’t just hop in the sack (even thought they both wanted to) and give us that instalove we all love to hate, I like it when they hold out, sexual tension can be fun in a book and when you add both of their sense of humours to the mix… it was.
I love the idea of the book; as I mentioned, it is about Satyrs and that is not really something I read about often but when you add to that Greek mythology….I’m in! I loved how that came about and the background behind the curse of the Satyrs. I also liked how they brought an urban legend into the story too and how they all connected. I thought the romance part of the book was good, it created some nice moments in which we get to see a different side to our characters, some were steamy, some were humorous & some quite heartbreaking but that helped to endear the reader to the characters. The story wasn’t just about finding love, it was also about why Pan found himself in his predicament and the history behind it, needless to say, there are other Satyrs and they all were made in an incident involving Pan and a couple of players in Greek mythology, there are two opposing forces, each blaming one or the other and that sets up conflict because retribution is the name of the game and one has been waiting a long time to get theirs and that brought the danger to the plot, some action and also sets up the series arc which has me very interested. We all know the Greek deities like to play with peoples lives & interfere, all in the name of fun… so expect no difference here. This was a good, different read for me, I enjoyed it a lot and will look out for the sequel. -

Dr. Katerina Silverton finds herself working on a documentary on the elusive Jersey Devil that she does not expect to really find. She was approach by a rich businessman to do the documentary and needing the money to pay her bills, she takes the job as she is still recovering from her attack by a cougar who was not supposed to be in the vicinity when it attacked her.
While working on the documentary with her friends, she encounters the mystical creature. She is attracted to him but he is more than she expects him to be. He turns out to be Pan a demi god from mythology whose father is Hermes.
Pan made a mistake in ancient times which cause the creation of immortal satyrs. Centuries later, he finds himself appearing as a abnormal creature scaring the people in the area. Until he runs into Katerina, he finds himself revealing himself.
Was they meant to meet or is there some other forces drawing them together? As they find themselves attract together, can they fight the attraction?
It is a tale that draws on mythology with a test of modern day spin, as we go back to another time. An interesting storyline. -
I can't tell you how badly I wanted to read this. I am huge fan of all sorts of mythology but the Greek Pantheon is my favorite. Ms. Lewis grabbed my imagination, held tight and took me deep into her world of curses, belligerent gods and sassy ladies who aren't afraid to speak up.
Despite his 'divine' nature, Pan is infused with seriously credible human qualities that allow the reader to see past the whole 'wicked' gig and find a rather lonely, vulnerable being beneath the façade. Kat is amazing and I loved how she was totally disbelieving at first as to what Pan was.
Because of my genuine love of Greek Mythology, I have an admitted bias when it comes to reading stories about it. Generally, my reaction to such falls between "What the hell is happening here" to "Yeah. No." but Ms. Lewis has not only done her homework, she's gone beyond that to present an intricate tapestry woven with intelligence and the right amount of 'magic'.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I think we have a forest around here somewhere and I'm off to get me some Satyr…*winks* -
I'm just going to go ahead and kick this off by saying that I am thrilled to have this book in my possession! I was initially a skeptic due to a lot of odd characteristics belonging to one book, but I loved it. Wicked Satyre Nights is an interesting and enjoyable book to read. The modern context of the dialogue threw me off a couple of times because it seemed off to think of the characters as Greek God's while using today's slang. I found I enjoyed the dialogue as well. It created a light hearted and fun atmosphere for such a passionate pair to fall in love.
Pan is my ideal male protagonist. The exterior reeks sexy, alpha male while in reality he is extremely vulnerable.
Katerina is the stubborn female protagonist who harnesses the soft heart needed to accept someone as Pan into her life. I melted...a lot!
I loved the character development and I love them together. The over all plot to the story is entertaining. I highly recommend it to an audience of 18 and older.

I was not the original editor. However, I did a re-edit after I finished the edit on the sequel to bring them in line. As with the second book, which I loved enough to accept, it is a delightful breath of fresh air from other shape-shifter type books (which I write because I love them :D). Well, written, and obviously researched, this book takes you through a different view of Greek mythology and what ifs. I especially love Hermes, and that will hang all of you :D He and Pegasus steal the scenes they're in. LOL The re-edit did prove to be necessary, and I'm very glad to have helped her with it, even if I was only allowed one round for the print version. A favorite author since I read Under the Satyr Moon, you won't be disappointed if you like Greek mythology and things just a bit different.
Er, date finished will show today as I don't remember when I finished reading it LOL -
Great start to a promising new series. Pan is a great central character and I love all things Greek! I even didn't mind that he had hooves :)
The interwoven Greek mythology quickly builds the backstory. I can't wait to see where Mr. Bach takes us next. Hopefully book 2 will be longer! -
I would give this 4.5 stars. This is was a wonderful story, and very unique. The only real problem might have been the editing errors, though they didn't completely distract from the story. I hope there's going to be another. (:
Satyr's! -
***4.5 stars***
Great story with great characters. Easy reading with the benefits of Greek Mythology. Even if you are unfamiliar with mythology, the author does a great job of giving you history. You fall in love with Pan very easily and Kat is a great leading lady. Well done! -
Really enjoyed this book. Wish it had been a little longer. I look forward to book #2. -
This was a highly enjoyable read with an interesting foray in to a Greek Mythology. For a cursed god, Pan proves to be sweetly human.
-
From the depths of my Kindle Library, I stepped into the realm of modern day folklore hunts. Turns out The Jersey Devil is actually the god Pan.
The book has a slow start and feels a bit like it stumbles to get a hold. Interest and real plot comes about 50% of the way in and more humor plays in a bit more in the last 30%.
There are many tongue and cheek jokes you guess at the very start and for those who like different types of folklore and mythology, you’ll find more hints as it goes on. -
Interesting
This was surprising—a new twist on the Greek legends and mixing it with newer legends—characters were convincing and I love seeing Dionysus as the power-hungry villain—actually ties into him being the God of excess ....looking forward to the next book... -

Excerpt: The pale light gave her a bluish hue, and so distracted was he by her natural beauty that he didn't see her scars right away. The puckered flesh traveled her lift thigh and hip coming just to her waist and across her stomach, and likely her back as well. The crisscrossing scar tissue was the only imperfection on her soft, otherwise flawless, skin.
"Oh, vixen." He dropped to his knees and drew her closer. "What did this to you?" He ran his hand over the markings.
I loved the tenderness of above scene.
That said, read on for my review of Wicked Satyr Nights.
I couldn't put down this book! Thanks to the author, Rebekah Lewis, I lost sleep. Why? Well, let's sum it up with the fact bedtime meant nothing when it came to putting down Wicked Satyr Nights. Just one more chapter became my motto.
I am intrigued by mythology, and wow, I inadvertently learned a lot about it. The author seamlessly entwines mythology with contemporary times. Not only that, the premise of this story was so well thought out, it is BELIEVABLE.
Kat, the heroine, is an independent, professional woman: yet her recent accident has her reeling. Finally healed--on the outside anyway--Kat takes an assignment to film a documentary to film a documentary on the urban legend, the Jersey Devil, without really holding any belief such a thing exists--until the winged myth kidnaps her.
It's clear the author did her research, right down to the weapons, curses, lineage of the gods, as well as the strength and weakness each hold. The immense thought involved combining myth, logic, human, god, and nymph is seamless. Not once did I doubt the plot, or trip on a hitch...other than the one in my heart when mythological god and human join with acceptance and love.
The sexual scenes between the two main characters, Pan (the Jersey Devil) and Kat are steamy and loving. Their conversations are deep and usually fall into playful banter. I laughed out loud several times. I love it when that happens. -
First off, I did a lot of growing up in New Jersey and camping in the Pine Barrens. I am well familiar with the Jersey Devil story and Ms. Lewis does justice to the folklore.
And combining it with Pan and Satyrs is pure awesome-sauce. Wow, the dovetail of the mythology with the folklore is great. Awesome, awesome worldbuilding.
Story only gets 4.5 stars because of some character inconsistencies early in the book. The longer the story goes, the stronger the characters and the conspiracy gets. In the first couple of chapters some of the character descriptions are noticeably repeated and should have been removed or reduced by a line editor.
But as the story goes on, as mentioned, the characters get better. Everyone is far from one-dimensional and has multiple motivations. Kat, the main female protagonist, is awesome, both girly enough to want to shave her legs and butch enough to walk off a cougar taking a chunk out of one. She wants money to do research but realizes earning the money may mean no one will take her research seriously. Pan alternates between making good quick decisions and poor ones; thinking on one's feet (or hooves) does not make every decision work. Every character has deep flaws worthy of a Greek tragedy waiting to happen, or one that already has.
No one is truly an angel in the story, nor is the villain a complete devil. Dion faces a situation where his parents and family moved without giving him the forwarding address; his reaction is poor, but a person can understand how screwed up you would be if all your brothers, sisters, and parents just cut you off without explanation.
Don't know if Ms. Lewis can keep this level of characters and worldbuilding going for the rest of the series, but book one worth the read if you like paranormal romance. -
The book starts out with Dr. Katerina Silverton on the mend from an attack that should've never happened and she knew better than to get that close to the cougar's kits, but these things happen. So after months of licking her wounded pride, she finally decided to take the less appealing offer from Mr. Dion Bach, a very rich CEO of a film company on the hunt for evidence of the Jersey Devil. It had to be a joke, right? But it wasn't a joke. So tempted by the handsome offer of funding for future research projects if she joined, so she packed up and took her two closest friends and headed straight into the Pine Barrens. But little did she know that she would get more than she bargained for.

She tempts him in ways that no other person has for centuries, she is a blessing and a threat to his solitary existence because he has an very old enemy is coming back after him.
The author really knew her mythology and facts for this book and I did enjoy it. -
If I had to sum this book up in two words they would be: Delightfully naughty!
Wicked Satyr Night features a horny satyr named Pan, who despite his personal belief about his own appearance, is deliciously smexy, hot…and cursed. He is drawn to the heroine, Katerina, by her laugher, and then ultimately the whole package once he sees her.
Katerina is a zoologist, who specializes in the feline family, however, money compels her to search and film a documentary on the fabled Jersey Devil. I literally LOL'd during Kat and Pan's first encounter. And then even after as both main characters are full of witty dialogue, each besting the other over and over. To say the least without giving away too much, Kat is a fiery red head who tortures poor Pan and his…manhood.
Miss Lewis' detail to mythology and the Olympian gods is magnificent, showing the massive research she put forward for this tale. I appreciate this effort as a reader. But most of all, I appreciate Miss Lewis' attention to developing the relationship between Katerina and Pan. It was sweet, sexy, and definitely hilarious at times! With that…I am off to read part two of the series! -
I received a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved Rebekah Lewis's use of Greek mythology in this contemporary setting, you can really tell she knows her lore. This book starts out from our lead character Katerina's point of view. We get a little taste of Kat's history leading into the story which starts off slow giving readers a chance to identify with Kat and show a bit of humor as she sets out on her seemingly impossible task. As the story progresses we get a perspective switch as Pan our mischievously handsome satyr who likes to make would be trespassers cry in fear and flee at the thought of monsters in the woods among his more primal urges. If you are looking for a modern day Beauty and the Beast look no further than these two lovebirds. Throw in the Olympian gods, a curse and a grudge and you're in for one wickedly delightful night. Between the witty banter between characters and the messy situations they get themselves into I am hungry for more Satyroi novels. -
I enjoyed this read by Ms. Lewis. I was fascinated by her Satrys and the mythology involved. It's clear she put a great deal of thought into how the mythos would work for her story and I loved how she included Nymphs in the actual plot.
The curse was an interesting twist as it was placed on gods and men, backfiring, and creating a neat element with in the story.
The sexual scenes between the two main characters, Pan and Kat, were pretty wicked all right. One of my favorite parts was toward the end as they became playful:
*********************
"I really love you."
Her smile turned into a wide grin. "And I love you."
"Get naked." His voice became deeper huskier.
How could one ever say no to that? "Make me." She sprinted toward the stairs...
*****************
I give this only three stars because I feel it ended to abruptly for my personal taste and I would have liked to see it drawn out a touch more, even though I realize it's meant to leave the reader hanging for the series. -
Gods, Goddesses and nymphs!
The zoologist Dr. Katherine is hired to find out if the cryptic creature nicknamed The New Jersey Devil is real by a very rich man. Not caring because if it will fund her for many many other adventures she would have, she decides to go and film for the fun of it. Unknown to her, she is about to embark upon an adventure that will have her running, screaming and the ever wtf if that question. As she comes into contact with things she never thought she see nor speak too.
Pan is a cursed God now, due to somethings that transpired centuries ago. Wanting to get away from it all again. He decides it just may be time to move again. But it all changes when he hears Katherine laugh out loudly in his woods, from his nap time thinking spot. He's never wanted a woman so badly in all his life, just from her voice. He will stop at nothing to have her. But will he be able to get her to look beyond his demonic looks into his heart? Or is he doomed for all eternity? -
This book was so much fun to read.. We get Dr Katerina Silverton, a zoologist hired by a rich CEO of a film company to look into evidence of the fabled Jersey Devil. Kat takes the job in order to fund future "real" research jobs.
Pan, the "Jersey Devil" is a satyr who has lived in Pine Barrens for a very long time. He occasionally scares those who come in search of the local legend. He gives them just enough to keep the legend alive but never enough to make it believable.
Pan finds it impossible to not mess with Kat. He is attracted to her as she is to him when he is in his human glam, as Peter. His fear is she would be horrified by his Satyr form.
A very well written romance with lots of action, humor, and suspense. The first of a series of stand alone stories, Wicked Satyr has me dying to read more. They are on my to be read list.
