The Chocolate and Coffee Bible Reviews
-
This is a book that cries out "pick me up." Printed on high-quality paper, with some marvellous pictures, the book provides a detailed history of coffee and chocolate along with recipes that use these ingredients.
I have just had the book for a week and look forward to baking using its recipes this weekend! -
Mexican Coffee
My boys got me this chocolate/coffee book so I have been trying a new recipe every day while they are here and they are here for 2 more weeks -Yay Me!!
I enjoy experimenting with different drinks so this is fun for me. The one I tried this morning is called Mexican Chocolate - it involves heavy cream, chocolate syrup, strong coffee, a variety of spices and cinnamon. The boys wanted whipped topping so I made it homemade because I don't like the store bought stuff - on mine I put foamed milk due to the richness of the heavy cream and chocolate.
This is yummy. Chocolate enhances the flavor of coffee and coffee brings out fun flavors in chocolate - they really compliment each other - that is why they are used together in a variety of baking recipes. -
This is more of a history and culture study of coffee and chocolate, with recipes added for flourish and illustration of the epitomes of the two star ingredients. Ahh I loved this book more than I had expected to.....and baked soon after. Because I had to!
