Stories from the Blue Moon Cafe II: Anthology of Southern Writers Reviews
-
This anthology is a follow-up of BMC 1, and the series goes on to at least BMC 4, so it has its fans. All the stories here focus on the South and...well, I wasn't really favorably impressed. The three stars are an average since I can't rate each story individually.
More humor and less trauma/violence/vile human behavior PLEASE!
There were some good pieces, but there were some really not good ones. The first story was pretty horrific and the sports stories? A lot of people probably would love those but I don't number myself among them.
Let's repeat paragraph 2 here for effect. And hope the South is a better place than many of these stories reflect. -
This was okay. I liked some of the stories a lot but most were disjointed with no closure at all.
