Emily tried to trust that she would get through everything, what with her husband dying and having to live with her sour mother-in-law, but everything was a hardship. She loved Jacob more than she'd ever loved anyone her entire life, and living without him had turned out to be an unbearable burden.
Her sorrow deepened when his mother, Laura, decided that she couldn't keep her there any longer. She would have to be sent to board with the matchmaker where she would become a mail order bride.
She was stuck still grieving her husband in the middle of nowhere with the crass Hank Johnson, trying to find a way to live a dangerous life in the wild west. She couldn't love him—she shouldn't...

Really?
The writing of this story had to have taken place in drug rehab or closing time in a bar. It contains some of the most bizarre sentences I've ever read. You'll get a bushel basket of misspelled words too. You'll have sympathy for the young lady at first. But when she arrives in the west, she's the most negative she-b!$&h you've ever seen. A rattler would crawl from her.
If you're on death row awaiting old Sparky, go ahead and read it. If you want a heart warming romance, you'll have better luck reading the mating ritual of scorpions. -
Part of a serial
This was a short, sweet, clean story. It has a good storyline (that's the only reason it received three stars) and the author will give you the second book for free but it ends mid sentence. This book needs much editing so if that bugs you, don't buy. I'm glad it was free. -
