Rebecca hasn't seen or heard from her mob boss father in four years, but she's about to receive a message from him that will throw her life into chaos. Rebecca thought she left the crime family and the painful memories behind when she went into law enforcement. She never expected to be abducted by a sexy stranger. But when this stranger makes Rebecca an offer too tempting to refuse, she finds herself dragged into one of the most ruthless vendettas of the century.

Knox Savage is the searingly sexy CEO of Knox Security and a notorious playboy. What most don't know about Knox is that he loves helping high-profile criminals escape justice. He makes no judgments about guilt or innocence. And he doesn't do it for sentimental reasons. But he's about to take on a case that's going to get very personal.

WARNING: Due to strong language, violence, and sexual content, this series is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Knox: Volume 1 (Knox, #1) Reviews

2 Stars (for it's shortness and some steamy scenes)

    Review contains spoiler!

This books starts very weird. Becky is dreaming about some guy named Marcus. It's a very hot dream because when she suddenly wakes up, she has somebody else's hand stuck between her thighs. This hand belongs to Augustus and in the next chapter we learn that Augustus is her boyfriend. But he doesn't question her about her dream or about who she was dreaming. The only thing he seems interested in is if she has come.

So Becky is a mafia princess but she despises her farther, and the things he has done. 4 years ago she left her crime family behind and started working in law enforcement.

Who in hell hired her? She still has her father's last name. Everyone of her colleagues knows who her daddy is.

In chapter 2 the heroine claims to have a solid and comfortable relationship with Augustus. She knows that Augustus really loves her because guess what??
    He remebers her birthday!

There's more, he also remembers her favourite ice cream and they are already talking about wedding

The next weird thing is in chapter 4 when she says that he is def cheating on her.

The story continues and she gets "kidnapped" by a guy named Knox. He tells her that her father is going to prison and Knox wants her to do some things since she is working in law enforcement. She assumes that Knox is working for her dad so she tells him everything she knows. Even though he never admits working for her dad.

And then suddenly she finds some similarities between Knox and this guy Marcus.
The last time she saw Marcus was 10 years ago when she was 15 and Marcus 20. She tried desperately to jump him. But he rejected her because of her dad and her age.

Eventually Knox takes her back to her appartment and they

But wait! Doesn't she have a boyfriend?

    Does it bother her?

Knox doesn't want to wear a condom but he has apparently a good reason

"Rebecca I'm not going to impregnate you. I'm incapable of such things."

What does that mean??? Can someone explain to me?

The next morning Knox disappears and her boyfriend Augustus appears.
First she wants to break up with him but suddenly she is more busy with accusing him of cheating on her.

I will stop at this point. There are a lot more weird things going on but I don't have all day.

    2.5 stars!

I know this is part of a serial so obviously it's going to be short but what the hell? Everything was so random and happened so quickly! It starts off with a completely random scene and just jumps from one scene to the next with hardly any explanation.

I wish I could go into detail about everything wrong with this book but then I would be pretty much spoiling the whole book. Basically, the heroine is dumb as fuck. She accuses her boyfriend of sleeping around because she hasn't been to his apartment....meanwhile after meeting some random guy who fucking KIDNAPPED HER in a mere couple of hours she sleeps with him! Rebbecca, Becky, whatever the fuck you're name is I just have one thing to say:

As for Knox, the kidnappper dude, I did not find him sexy at all. I mean okay, yeah he clearly knows his way with sex but he was so harsh to her and frankly reminded me of a rapist. He basically forced himself on him with barely any consent from her. But then again, she would willingly let a complete stranger do whatever he wants to her because she's that stupid.

I'm kind of mad I bought the second book because I don't really care to find out what happens next but at least I bought it while it was on sale. I don't usually read serials but I loved Cassia Leo's other book so I figured I'd give it a shot...yeah not a great experience.

This is part 1 to one of those short serials that spurts out short additions of storyline each month. It's also very confusingly written and didn't hold my attention. The unrealistic flag waves high and proud as a big warning.

Becky has a boyfriend but only sees him when he brings coffee to her each morning, has sex with her (while she imagines being with someone else), and the he walks her to the subway station. What? Then before she gets on the subway she's kidnapped by a somewhat familiar looking man who demands her to follow his orders to obtain information from the police (she's a police officer) and then he, too, has unprotected sex with her and walks away -- but not before promising he'll finish the job later that night. It's literally a cray-cray mess! One I will not be continuing.

I've read other books by this author and enjoyed them -- not so with her latest endeavor, however.

Strange book, odd story, it was all rather preposterous but.. yet I read it all & then bought the next book. Hmm.

  • Debbie♥ love my Ducks♥

This is a very short story and definety meant to get you hooked but not meant to be anything but a teaser hence it is free. As one can clearly see by the reviews of this either you get that and love it or you dont and hate it. I am one that happen to love this book and have since purchased the next two in the series and hope I like them as well as I did this one.

  • Stephanie

WELL, HELL! Cassia Leo really did a number on me.
She teased me with this awesome novella and gave me a tinny, tiny taste of the very delicious, Knox Savage!

I just met the handsome devil and I'm already having withdrawals. And did I mention all the steamy-ness!

Had me all hot and bothered just a few pages in ;)

And on top of these withdrawals, Cassia must enjoy torturing me because I have no idea when volume 2 will be released.

  • Shelby Forster

Great book! Yes it is short but it is a 4 part series. Its supposed to be short. I've read a ton of the reviews on here some saying its "far fetched" or "everything happened too quickly." First it is a book just like a movie it is not real, why would you read or watch something about everyday normal life circumstances? We read to get away from these things so saying it "far fetched" is ridiculous. Vampires are far fetched, werewolves are far fetched but everyone throws themselves onto that bandwagon. Try reading all 4 parts before giving your reviews. Its a wonderful book! Cassia Leo never let's me down!

This was a short quick read that I liked. Rebecca is the daughter of a mob boss she hasn't spoken to him in four years she left the family and went into law enforcement. When she is kidnapped by a hot guy he makes her an offer she can't refuse. Knox Savage is the sexy CEO of Knox Security and a notorious playboy. I liked both of these character's right away I didn't like her ex August he didn't seem trustworthy. I liked this book and I like reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

  • FantasyLiving

Well shit..... Now I want to read the next one.

Quick paced mafia thriller with some hot sex.

Becky is a bit daft, for being a mafia princess.
Knox is pretty presumptuous, but then Becky did give in to him.

I'm intrigued enough to want to see where this goes. Hopefully the characters will develop into people I actually like. And if not, the twists and turns seem interesting enough, for now.

  • Carrie

Knox is a steam hot and sexy read. It will leave you wanting more, If you have read Cassia's other book Chase and Luke and LOVE them, KNOX is right up there and BEYOND AMAZING!! I finished it in on sitting. You do not want to miss out grab your copy today.

  • ~♡AB♡~

3.5 Stars - This was really far fetched and I found it a bit odd but I will continue on with the series.....

  • Brooke

Let me start by saying I bought this as a set and will be reviewing it as such. This series had its ups, as well as its downs. I really was drawn to the story between Knox and Becky and the secrets that are uncovered about their past. The author did a great job of tying the story together with a rich history and suspense filled story line. I did, however, find myself confused at times about Becky fighting so hard to get out of the mob life to just casually stroll back in due to some beautiful kidnapping stranger. At times I felt she was a very strong main character, when she would be coming to her senses, however, as in many books of this nature, she quickly forgives Knox over and over regardless of what he does. This made me lose a little fondness for Becky, but, I did still like that she at least had a feisty side. I liked that Knox started out so mysterious; I wanted to know his history and his reason for capturing Becky. This is all quickly uncovered in the first book, so you spend the rest of the time learning that he is quite a bizarre guy. Knox spies on Becky always and he teaches her "lesson"s for bad behavior, which seems odd considering their past and him being so insistant about her being with someone who loves and cherishes her. At times Knox is the sweetest guy and you are swooning, and then he is going all BDSM out of nowhere. Good thing the writing and storyline was interesting, because some of the behaviors in this book did not add up. To wrap it up, this series was definitely a good read with an interesting story line and bouts of suspense. You won't be disappointed in the background and flashbacks, however, the characters may fall flat for you. This could make or break the books depending on what you like.

Holy Hell that was freakin hot!!! Cassia never, ever disappoints me!!! To say that I woke up to a surprise today is a huge understatement!!! I was shocked about this surprise book and literally devoured it!!!

Rebecca is from a mob family, but left them behind and entered law enforcement instead. She did whatever she could to leave her mess of a family behind her. In a seemingly comfortable relationship, When people hear where she's from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, they automatically assume she's tied to some mob family you see in movies. If they only knew the truth. She chose this life to send her family a message. What Rebecca witnessed in her past is something no one should bear.

Knox Savage steps into Rebecca's life and completely rocks her world. With his beautiful, blue eyes and freakin amazing body, their meeting is nothing what I expected and I was blown away how in such a short time this guy knocked me off my feet. He is mysterious and tied to her past. He lays out the terms--what he wants, he gets. It's his way or no way. She has no choice, he asks the questions, he makes the rules. He wants information, and he's going to get it--he leaves her no other option.

I don't want to give too much away--this story is one you'll want to experience yourself!! The chemistry between these to was off the charts HOT!!!! I was glued to my kindle and CANNOT WAIT for the next installment in this series!!

  • Tash

The beginning of this book makes my blood boil. I absolutely hate dream sequences unless they're relevant and I honestly don't see how this one is. The female protagonist is dreaming of some guy called Marco and their having a good time. Turns out she's not in bed with this Marco person but some guy called August who bloody fingering her while she sleeps. I mean seriously? What the actual fuck.

As the story progresses she then jumps into bed with Knox, who threatened to kill her about 10 minutes earlier, despite her relationship with a person she supposedly loves.

This is one of those books that could easily have been a decent read but due to several fairly large plot holes and well a female protagonist who's basically a slut (I hate that word by the way), it was a waste of my time even if it only took 10 minutes to read. The 'author' should go back and develop the characters, plot and well every thing and then she may have some resemblance of a good book.

Over all it is basically a giant What the fuck sort of story. It might make more sense further through the series but I'm really not going to buy them.

  • Amber Shavor

Have you read Knox yet? NO?! Stop what you’re doing and read it!

This little gem is the first installment in the Knox Series. I saw Cassia preview it one her FB page and I had to one-click it to see what all the fuss was about and the cover, my god the cover!

Rebecca is a mob princess who basically “stuck it to” her father and turned into a cop. The only problem in this equation, yeah the Mob always comes back to haunt you. This is where Knox, big bad, CEO billionaire comes in and he will not take “No” for an answer. BUT if you’re thinking it’s in regards to their hot, sexual tension. It’s not…so not. (but their sex….off the charts). Anyway like I was saying about the Mob thing? Yeah, they want what is theirs and what is owed to them, that little thing called loyalty?

Knox gives her an ultimatum she cant refuse and its thrust into a dangerous game trying to save the ones she loves.

My only complaint? I need more, so much more!!! This little sneak peak was just not enough for me.

So go what are you still waiting for? Go click it now!!!

  • Patricia

This is a fabulously intense, sexy and intriguing new Power Player series by Cassia Leo. She gave me just enough to draw me in and leave me thirsting for more Knox Savage with this first installment of the four part series.

Rebecca was raised in a mob family always aware that “business” was taking place around her. However, she extricated herself from that life vowing never to look back. She even pursued a career in law enforcement, determined to make better choices in her own life.

Knox is the intense and mysteriously captivating stranger responsible for abducting Rebecca. The attraction between the two is palpable and it soon becomes apparent to Rebecca that Knox is familiar for reasons she can’t quite put her finger on.

I was enthralled from the beginning and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment. I am beyond curious about what lies ahead for Rebecca and Knox. Mobs and mystery and sex…OH MY!!

  • Claudia

This is story is way too good to just be a novella, its gonna be tortue waiting for the next installment. Rebecca is a cop and the daughter of a mobster and is contacted by Knox to do a favor for her father who was arrested for a murder she saw him commit. That murder change her forever and was huge part as to why she made the choice to become a cop. Knox seems to have his own agenda what that is exactly I don't know. Though now that we know the man that he use to be and what he went through I have an inkling of an idea. Becky is feisty, tough, sensitive yet she doesn't take crap from anyone which may be her downfall. How bad did she screw up the job we dont know. We find out that Knox is an old friend she knew from Bensonhurst. Which leaves me with multiple questions that need to be answered. Like what does he have planned for her and her father? What has he been up to in all these years? I think my two main questions is who August and how does he fit into this?

  • Nichole

Dear Becky, you are an utter moron. First you think "I was feeling vulnerable after everything that happened with August." ... yet nothing had happened with August. You had a conversation about him but nothing happened. I mean, other than you slutting it up with a random stranger who you think is working for the father you claim to not want to associate with. Oh, right. He's got eyes like someone you knew when you were 15. Let him treat you like a blow up doll and bang him even as he disregards your request for protection. Fucking twit.

  • Angie ~aka Reading Machine~

Rebecca "Becky" Veneto remembers the day her father killed Uncle Frank. She still dreams about it sometimes. She's in a relationship that doesn't do anything for her with Austin. She clearly remembers Marco and thinks of him often. Knox Savage makes it his mission to help people disappear. Knox's next mission is one where the lines are blurred completely. What will Becky do about her boyfriend Austin? Can Knox complete his next mission? Your answers await you in Knox:Volume 1.

  • Donna ~ The Romance Cover

Well that was short and sweet, not much learned so am hoping this is just the foundation to the series. I love these series as sometimes you need a quick read. Can't wait to see what happens with Knox going forward and how August ties in to everything.

  • Rhian Jones

Thinking I'm gonna like Knox! 4 part serial least they are being released every 1-2 weeks so not long to wait, looking forward to hearing more about Becky, Knox, August and Becky's dad. Knox is gonna be a bad ass I can feel it.

  • Ruby

Talk about leaving me wanting more!! Geez!! I mean you just start getting into the story...the journey is just getting interesting...then BAM!!! THE FREAKING END! Now I have to buy the next book just to find out what happens! Ugh......smh.

  • Jean

Ah these short novellas, they just suck you in and keep you wanting more. Knox is a hot cocky asshole, just the way I like them..... haha! Rebecca is fiesty and the daughter of a mob boss, the same mob boss Knox works for. Yeah, I was hooked and moved right on in the series.

  • Dina

    3 stars..

I'm thinking this is an interesting start.. a bit on the rocky side though..

definitely could have gone better.. but interesting and steamy nonetheless ;)

Let's see how the next one turns out :)

  • Julie

Argh!!! I can't wait for the next one!

  • Jennifer

Sizzling hot. ... 1st of a 4 part serial. Knox is all sexy, addictive, alpha male. Can't wait to read more.

  • Karen

This book wasn't for me, but I'm sure there will be a lot of other readers who will enjoy it. Since I have book two I will read it at a later date!
