With humanity teetering on the brink of extinction, Paul’s quest for survival heats up along with his self-doubt. After all, how can the average person hope to beat back the undead in a world gone mad? Those things outnumber them a thousand to one and lurk around every corner. Against all odds, unexpected allies convince him to keep pushing against the darkness closing in on all sides because perhaps they aren’t as average as they think. Maybe something is keeping them alive just long enough to take back what is theirs. Or maybe they’ll die siphoning gas in a Toys R Us parking lot. One thing, however, is very clear: hardly anyone is left and they’ll need all the help they can get to keep from ending up as dead as everything else.

I stayed up all night and read this book from start to finish, and it was worth it.
I liked that the same writing style, that I thought got so good half through the first book, continued in this book from page one.
This author is very creative thinking up crazy things to happen to his characters- like the zombie train.
The smart/ fast zombie angle was also interesting, though also extremely terrifying. I will admit that I prefer zombies to be brainless shufflers, but despite the scarier angle, I still loved this book. There was also a paranormal ghost thing going on that was really neat!
I thought some of the things the character did were REALLY dumb- like surfing in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse, and Bumper cars- really!? However, for me, it was still believable because you have to think that some people would really do stupid stuff like that. One thing I did hate was how Curtis kept sneaking up behind everyone and scaring them, though it did match with his personality.
It's killing me that this book left off with a cliff hanger and the third book won't be released until the summer, I will be checking out this authors Facebook page or website to look for updates.

    What NOW?!!

This second installation of the Dead Series by Sean Thomas Fisher is a HIT! Book One set the pace and Book Two hit for the fence! I cannot wait for Book Three!! Awesome tale. Unique storyline with characters as exciting and unpredictable as the storyline.

    An ok read

I like the story I just wish it moved along a little faster. Maybe if we weren't in the guy's head all the time. Ill read the next one because I want to know what happens. Maybe he will start listening to his inner voice, I mean it's always right
