Nothing Less (Landon Gibson #2) Reviews

"With her I can be more than the nice guy. I can be more than someone's best friend. I don't have to solve everyone else's problems and neglect my own when I'm with her."
I liked this book better than the first but in some points it was a little boring.
Thank god Landon end up with the girl I wanted (I'm not going to tell) :P -
Bueno...
Venham Mais Landons

We're back with Landon.
He has an old soul.
A wise-beyond-his-years smile and a heart of dripping gold.
Landon and his girl troubles!
We start off right where we left him in the first book.
He just had almost-sex with Dakota and now Nora is here and they're making cake...
Landon is not sure what he's supposed to do about his love life. He just knows that he's horribly attracted to Nora. But that girl seems to carry all the secrets and problems of the world inside of her. And she doesn't seem to want to open up about anything.
And Dakota is still his first everything and she needs him now too....
In a very adorable prologue we already got a tiny little glimpse into Landon's life a few years from now. I loved that.
Now he only has to decide who he wants to end up with.
Can Hardin be the one with the right advice?
Who will Landon end up with?
Who will be his happily ever after girl?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT! ☺
and also read the book for the most adorable Hardin sightings! ♥
This second book was so much better than the first one.

►REVIEW◄ of book one!
This book had a more grown-up feel to it. It wasn't so ridiculously boring and weak and stupid.
This time Landon has to really decide important things about his life. He can't just cruise around Brooklyn without direction. There are grown-up problems to face and decisions to make.
He's a bit more easy and funny about his own stupidity and his own wants and needs.
I can't really explain it. I didn't hate this second book as much as the first one. Maybe that's only so because Hardin visits Landon in New York. ☺
I really enjoyed how Landon is trying to get closer to Nora. But she's so secretive and we have no idea what she's hiding! Even though she gets her own POV for a bit!
I couldn't stop reading! I had to know what Nora was hiding and how Landon will decide in the end!
And also: Hardin! Ugh...he's so adorably grumpy again!
We have some very adorable and sexy Landon and Nora moments...
...and Dakota is getting on our nerves most of the time. But she's all alone in the world now and Landon can't not be her friend. Poor Landon - he needs to think of himself for once in his life!
With her I can be more than the nice guy; I can be more than someone's best friend. I don't have to solve everyone else's problems and neglect my own when I'm with her.
All in all this was a great 2nd book.
I still had some problems with it. Mostly with how whiney and weakish and soft and horribly young Anna wrote Landon. And he's not at all this weak person. He has some strength hidden inside - he just has to find it to fight for what he wants and deserves in life!
If you're a fan of the whole #Hessa universe, you just have to read those 2 Landon books too. Even if only to get those adorable Hardin glimpses! ☺☺ But Landon is a great guy - he just wouldn't be my guy. He would be my gay best friend without being gay! But he's perfect for the girl he chooses in the end and she's perfect for him! ♥
NOTHING MORE was so a lot better than the first book! Landon has some growing up to do - he has to decide what and who he wants for his future!
Run to your nearest amazon to find out who Landon will get married to!!!
P.S. Am I really that old and uncool that Cough Syrup is the ONLY song of Anna's playlist for the book that I know? OY ☺

Chiar mi-a plăcut. Am văzut procesul de maturizare emoțională a acestuia, in seria asta!

I was sent a copy of this book by the publisher.
2.5 stars
I'm not a big fan of Anna Todd's books (I think she's a really cool person though). I really hated After but I thought Nothing More was a lot better compared to After. I still didn't like Nothing More but there was so much improvement in the writing.
I didn't plan on reading Nothing Less but the publisher sent me an unsolicited copy and I felt bad not reading it. I am pleasantly surprised to report that I thought there was even more improvement in the writing. I don't know if it was just because the plot was a bit different from Nothing More or I'm just slowing getting used to the writing style but I didn't hate this book. I didn't like it, but I didn't hate it. I thought it was pretty good compared to After.
If you're a fan of Anna Todd's books or Fifty Shades of Gray, I'd definitely say check out the Landon Gibson series. I think it's miles above After and I don't think it's a complete waste of time. But if you haven't read Anna's books, if you're even remotely a critical reader, I wouldn't recommend this series. -
B.O.R.I.N.G.
Not that I expected anything else, but it really bothers me that I´d rather have read about Hardin and Tessa again than continuing Landon´s story.
I even feel a bit bad about it, because he´s the good guy and practically what every girl should wish for. But between his constant wondering about Nora, his emphasizing on how very normal is and the abundance of twilight related statements (stop comparing yourself with Bella Swan, you are a guy!!!!!!!) there´s not much left. Is there more to Landon than perfect behavior?
This boy has a serious problem with confidence an the fact that he´d rather fix other people than looking at his own life makes him a bit of a problem himself.
Actually- and who would´ve guessed? - I missed Tessa in the story. Irony at its finest, because I´m so fed up with the After series. Still, Landon and Tessa are supposed to be the bestest of friends, yet he ignores her problems and she never cares to talk to him about the mess he´s gotten himself into. They live together without ever troubling themselves with each other?
I´m also majorly pissed because of the food wastage. A baker - sorry, pastry chef - and passionate hobby cook create all those wonderful dishes and most of the time they go to waste? Are they crazy?
Speaking of, at least now we know how very talented Landon is in all things sexual. Despite both Nora and him never tire of stressing his youth and inexperience, he is accomplished in all things mundane and erotic.
My favorite parts, though, are those where the writing qualities of Anna Todd really shine.
She´s like a kitten who wants to be rubbed and fussed over all day. Suddenly, I´m a cat person. I don´t know if I could handle the hair-ball thing, or the pooping-inside-the-house thing. So never mind: I only like kittens in Nora-form.
Do people really think like that? Do people really want other people to talk like that? Think such things? Because they just made me roll my eyes slash cry of laughter and that´s probably not the reaction I was supposed to show.
The plot is a copy and paste of every NA story.
If the book at least would´ve surprised me with something I could´ve forgiven the real stupid stuff. But since Pottermore made Landon a Hufflepuff, I don´t feel inclined to show much good will. -
And that's on what? PERIOD.
Seguiré leyendo a Anna Todd?

And thus concludes the After side-story that I'm fairly certain nobody asked for and nobody wanted.
During the first book, I wasn't sure who Landon would end up with. Although if you ask me, he should have ended up with neither of them, because they're both petty, awful people and Landon deserves a princess... not spoiled, entitled assholes who think that they can simply just use Landon and then toss him aside when he's done.
But during the course of this book... Gee, I wonder who he's going to end up with? Could it be the girl that he's going out of his way to avoid? Or the girl WITH HER OWN POV CHAPTERS?!
No clue. Can't decide. Such a mystery. /SARCASM
The ending was a miserable waste of time, too. It kind of felt like Todd got bored with her own systematic formula, which... WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE DONE THIS WITH THE AFTER SERIES? Yeah, the After series was still unnecessarily long, but at the same time, two books would have been a hell of a lot better than four. (I want to live in the perfect world where the After series doesn't exist at all, for everything that it originated as, but here we are.)
So for the end, not only is it a crash ending, with all of the loose threads being just like “OH, AND THIS THING HAPPENED!” for two seconds while Todd focused on the “happily ever afters”... The worst part is that, in my mind, those loose threads would have made for a way more interesting story rather than Dakota and all of her privileged, immature shit-throwing and drama-starting.
Except... Except that I don't want that at all. Because while I think that I could probably find a similar story somewhere else... If left up to Todd, it would be nothing but drama and pointless circling around for chapters and chapters and there's zero character development and zero plot movement.
You know, kind of like literally all of her other books have been? (And after having now read seven of Todd's works, I feel like I can say this with 100% certainty.)
All in all, especially compared to the After series, Landon's series was bland and completely forgettable. In a week, I will probably struggle to remember what happened, and in a month, I doubt that I will have remembered that I've read this series to begin with. -
Actual rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
You've taken it all from me. There's nothing left to give her. You have it all.
After Landon found Nora with a trash bag full of clothes, it was clear that the relationship between them changed. Landon knew that there was something going on and he felt a compelling need to take care of her. But Nora carried too much baggage. She did not want to be fix neither need a knight shining armor to save her from her sh*t. With Nora keeping secrets, could she promise Landon not to tell lies?
Nothing Less was written on both Nora and Landon's POV. See a pattern there? By now, you could have guess who was the woman he got a happy ending with that I mentioned awhile ago. The story focused mainly on how Landon unlock the mystery behind Nora and what was the history behind him and Dakota.
The back story that I wanted to know in Nothing More was mostly given here in this book. The mention of Dakota's past shone a light on why she acted self-absorbed or angered and what made her and Landon stuck on each other. I know that her horrible past would never be an excuse to treat Landon the way she did but I rooted for her and realized that her character was complex, flawed and human. She might start as an unlikeable but for me, she somehow was able to redeem her character at the end of the story.
I also learned that Nora, even before they've all moved to New York, have her eyes on Landon. She has said several times that she was not looking for another relationship or she and Landon could never be together in a real way but she never kept her distance with him. She even pushed Landon towards her. If Landon was frustrated and confused? So did I!
Being able to read Nora's voice with the constant truth game she had with Landon, it was never been enough. I didn't knew her until all the secrets came out seven pages (yeah! I literally count the pages) before the story ended.
For Landon's character, I couldn't say that he morphed into a butterfly. He changed a bit but at least, he was able to man up and have the choices on his own. He might have hurt Dakota for choosing Nora over her but he was still the Mr. Nice Guy I knew he was who once let himself tangled in a web.
I admit that this was much better than Nothing More. The story got some depth of clarity with underlying issues on suicide and bullying. I couldn't say that I loved it but it was definitely more engaging and I'm happy with the way things turned out for Landon and Nora.

Nothing Less is the second (and the final, thank God) book in the Landon Gibson series, a spin-off of the steamy college romance series, After.
First of all, it's BORING. There's no plot, no action, not even that much drama. NOTHING. And then LESS, lol
There's something else, though: SECRETS. A lot of them. So much beating around the bush, so much prolonged buildup, and ZERO answers until the very end... And the ending is kind of underwhelming.
In addition, somewhere in the middle of the book I felt like for about 70 or so pages I was stuck in a tiny, dingy Brooklyn apartment watching two people kiss and stuff. That's basically the majority of the story.
I was also kind of irritated by the amount of wasted food. Stop making so much food if nobody eats!
On a positive note, I'm officially done with the entire After series. I'm finally FREE!!!
Note to myself: even if you love the first book, don't go and buy the entire series all at once because you might end up stuck with it long after you stop enjoying it. -
I loved reading from Landons POV, and getting sneaky little hints about Hessa throughout the book.
I’m officially finished with all books in the After universe, and I’m sad!! -
After reading Nothing More I could not wait to get my hands on Nothing Less. When I got an ARC of this book early I literally squealed. The minute I got it I started reading it and I could not put it down . I could not stop reading no matter how I told my self okay just one more chapter and we will save the rest for later nope that didn't work for me . I devoured this book in just a few hours and I loved it ,Nothing Less was fantastic book by Anna Todd.
We literally pick up with Landon right where we left him at the end of Nothing More, after that ending all I could think is what is going to happen next?. I loved the direction Anna Todd decided to go in this story .Everyone who has read the After series wants to know who Landon got married to and when I found out the answer to that question and how ever thing unfolded in this story ,I could not be happier with how everything turned out for Landon . I think we all know how amazing Landon is , he is kind , sweet , loyal , genuine I have many wonderful words to say about him , but we also got see him stand up for himself , we got to see him discover a lot more about himself and we also got to see him fall in love again. Getting to read Landon story was just an amazing experience and I honestly could not ask for more from this story in my opinion it was perfect .Nothing Less and Nothing More are both officially on my favorite books of 2016 list .
Nothing Less was a sexy , emotional, heartwarming story. Anna Todd is a fantastic writer and I cannot wait to get my hands on her next book, after reading this story I just know its going to be amazing .If you love all these things in your books I suggest you get a copy when it comes out December 6,2016. -

Nothing Less starts off right where the last book left off. Landon and Dakota have ended things, but somehow they can't give each other up yet and sometimes that can be a problem. Landon finds himself wanting to know Nora more and more, but she is hell bent on keeping him out.
Landon is such a sweet guy! He has always been that guy, even in the After Series. He's always been the one Tessa can lean on and even at times Hardin, so I guess it was time that Landon be the one struggling to figure his relationships out. He knows he wants more with Nora, but she is so mysterious in her ways. She doesn't want a relationship, or for Landon to get to know too much about her, but she wants to be friends. That just drove me bonkers because they are clearly majorly attracted to each other! And even after they get closer Nora is still keeping him at arms length, dear god woman just stop! Landon can't turn to Tessa for advice because that is a major conflict since she and Nora are god friends, so he goes to the only other person he can which is Hardin. That just cracked me up because Hardin is still a mess in a lot of ways, and he still needs to fix his crap with Tessa! Anyway, he wasn't so bad at the advice part though.
I love the way Landon and Dakota's relationship progressed throughout the book. They have a lot of history and Landon wasn't just going to cut her off, because it's not right. Sometimes people are so much a part of your life that even if the relationship changes they will always be there, sometimes very minimally, but there none the less. Now all we were waiting for was whatever the heck Nora was hiding! Will their new relationship survive that storm?!
Landon proved time and time again that he is a man of his word! I loved him then, I love him now, I will always LOVE HIM! If you're a fan of the After Series, you do not want to miss out on Landon's story!

Reencontramos neste livro a Tessa e o Hardin.

Boy, so much happened, secrets were unveild, choices were made.
I am so so glad Landon finally realized his worth and how Dakota didn't really love him. I love how everything played out and how it ended.. yes! For a second there I was afraid my ship was gonna sink. Thank the Lord it didn't. Landon deserved real love, someone who truly appreciated him in every way. My baby. So happy. -

I finished what she has written so far! Slow going but I still like it......I know Landon marries, just who does he choose?!
