Going for Broke is a story of two high school classmates who are each talented in their own way & the different paths they take. Chase took the risky way & headed off to Hollywood to be a star. Mia took the safe way, went to college & is the drama teacher at their old high school. Mia crushed on Chase in high school & the feelings are still there. Does Chase feel the same? Why is he back in Sapphire Falls? Is Mia truly happy in her job?
For a novella, Kate did a wonderful job of setting the scene. The characters were life like & inspired emotions in the reader. Chase came across as an arrogant jerk at the beginning but you were able to put yourself in his shoes. A high school actor that everyone in the small town thought would conquer the world. How did real life treat him? Mia took the safe route. Did she have regrets?was it the better path? The dynamic between them changed as you read through the story. Loved it! -
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this addition to Sapphire Falls. Chase and Mia were a lot.of fun. The natural chemistry and friendship they had as teens was the same in adulthood. This novella was not filled with a lot of drama, but more with an awakening of a love between two friends who liked each other as more from the beginning. Chase was very sweet, nurturing, and sexy, but needed help getting his confidence back. Mia was a great friend who helped everyone, eager to help others succeed and put their needs before her own. Both Chase and Mia were likeable the entire story. And the ending - major swooning for Chase!

Kate Davies was a wonderful addition to the Sapphire Falls Kindle World! When Chase and Mia come together eleven years after he takes off for Hollywood, the sparks fly! Their camaraderie was immediately evident and the chemistry was off the charts. I knew the ending before I finished reading, but it was SO sweet! -

Love the stories in Sapphire Falls. Love this story because it is a story about lost love. Mia and Chase were friends in high school. He was moving on to Hollywood so she thought she would show him how she felt before he left. He didn't respond. He left, she stayed. Years later he comes back. She is still there. He ends up helping her and the feelings and emotions come out again. This time the results are different. They seem so wonderful together. Love the Ferris wheel in these stories. Love this cute story. -
What a cute, fun, second chance love story for my favorite town of Sapphire Falls!!!! I loved Kate's story of two people who were perfect for each other, but never got the chance until years later! Chase and Mia had an undeniable chemistry together both on and off the stage and it so fun to see them get their HEA! Quick, light and sexy read!

I absolutely love this story by Kate Davies! Chase has returned to Sapphire Falls eleven years after taking off to start his acting career. Mia has stayed in Sapphire Falls and now teaches drama. These two are strong characters and I so enjoyed watching them go for their HEA. -
Chase Hamilton left Sapphire Falls years ago and became a famous Hollywood actor. He's now back to his childhood home and seeing his high school scene partner Mia Gonzales. She was secretly in love with him all through high school. Where do things stand now that he's back in town? A very enjoyable read.
