Justice League: Gods \u0026 Monsters #3 Reviews
-
This is a review for the whole Justice League: Gods and Monsters arch, including the movie that made me read the comics in the first place.
The movie is great. I would give a 4. It's a different take on the Trinity. The Man of Steel is not the righteous guy we all love. He is arrogant and cruel and capable of killing. The Dark Knight is a vampire who kills the bad guys for blood. So who is the monster? The Goddess is righteous, perhaps, but if needed she is ready to kill.
The comic book arch is a prequel to the movie. Starts with the origin tales of the Trinity. Origins of Superman and Batman are well told. Origin of Wonder Woman, falls short. Too much dialogues and perhaps illogical monologues.
The last three books tell the origin of Justice League. Who are the gods and who are the monsters? What is the silver lining? What makes someone a hero? It's a good story. Could have been way better.
Over all 2.5 to the whole arch.
