No longer willing to live with the decisions of her past, Kelli decides to make a fresh start in Los Angeles. It's time to live the life she's always wanted. But where should she start? No job, no friends, she quickly comes to wonder if she's made a mistake. Her doubts only deepen when she gets a job at McGregors and quickly falls for the pub's owner. Ian represents the love she so desperately craves, but he is haunted by a past he refuses to leave behind. Can Kelli convince him to let go of his demons and create a new life by her side?

Pleasure to read
This is the authors first book and though it was a bit slow in parts, my emotions were aplenty. I openly sobbed in front of my hubby who gets a kick out of the fact a book makes me a blubbering fool.
I wanted to kick Ian’s behind a few times, and I’m convinced Kellie was a grade A stalker... but the gamble paid off and the trek to the HEA was entertaining.
I will be watching out for more from this author... I would live to read Toms story, or even Sean or Tracey... -
I don't typically read this genre, but I did so at the suggestion of a friend. I wasn't expecting to have so much fun! I found myself reading at stoplights, walking down the hallway at work, and even sneaking in some paragraphs during meetings.
I understand this is JR Hunter's first book. I am looking forward to more from this author and seeing her grow as a writer. -
A debut book that's an outstanding read. Strap yourself in for an emotional roller coaster. It's well written allowing you to like and dislike the characters throughout their love story while always rooting for them. This read is steamy, funny, painful and captivating.

That is one heck of a thing to get past. I mean, mixed feelings. I don't know a lot about PTSD though, so I'm not sure. It just seemed so out of hats yet for Ian to do something like that, but I guess that's the point. HEA.

This was a "good read" indeed. I read it in two nights because I became involved in their story.
It is a story of a love that had to be fought for.
