Okay so I'm a total sucker for romances with long-lost lovers finding their way back to each other. If amnesia and magic is involved I am SOLD! So I read the blurb of this book and was like YES! THIS IS WHAT I NEED IN MY LIFE!
Then I opened the book and started reading...
I couldn't make it through 2 chapters of the horrendous writing, the YA Fanfiction feel, and the gag-me-with-a-spoon girl-ness of the thing. Also, I have a serious problem with whoever this Stacy Claflin thinks she is putting down a college student for using a backpack. WHAT THE FUCK ELSE IS SHE SUPPOSED TO USE? IT'S FUCKING COLLEGE!
But back to the story:
This girl Victoria doesn't have any memories, but she somehow didn't realize she lost her memory until like, a day? after it happened? I'm so confused about this. Just forgetting where you parked your goddamn car is going to call your memory into question. It shouldn't take you that long to figure it out.
And for someone with no memories and no real contacts beyond these random new friends, she's very well-off. She has a fucking Jaguar for a car, and for some fucking reason the fact that a person whose last name is "Jag" freaks her out, making her think "Jag? Like the Jaguar I'm driving?" Because apparently this is a totally logical connection...
At this point, I decided to skim, because there was no way I would be able to get through the whole thing, but I wanted to see if maybe when the main dude came into the picture it would get better.
It didn't. It turned into something like Teen Wolf without any of it's redeeming qualities (namely Stiles, a sense of humor, plot, Stiles, and fucking STILES) but somehow still taking place in college.
I have to wonder if Stacy Claflin has ever stepped foot on a college campus, to be honest, because it just seemed like a big high school to me.
Anyway, I'm done and I spent too much of my life reading/skimming and thinking about this book already.
To sum up: basically, this sucked. End of speech. -
Victoria just graduated high school and is now at college…with no memory as to how she got there, who she is, who her family is, and just plain doesn’t know why she DOESN’T know. The only memory she has is of the past few days but nothing else. Her phone doesn’t have any phone numbers that would be of help, her computer has no emails stored, her roommates don’t even know anything about her, and all of her assets are frozen. All she knows is that she is surrounded by Jaguars; in name and in image.
She meets Carter Jag (yup, Jag) at a party and he comes onto her. Thickly, a little TOO thickly. Right there you have to know something is up! Since he has asked her out he takes her to a family club, Jag (yup, again). As things slowly progress between the two Carter becomes more affectionate and loyal to Victoria but she still has that pesky memory issue.
Toby, a professor at Victoria’s college, happens to know her. He was been looking for her for years since he found out that she was no longer dead. He is so familiar to her but she doesn’t know why and she honestly does and doesn’t want to find out why. She needs her memories back before she can go to Toby and find out their connections.
As all of these relationships bloom we still have that main problem of memory but kidnapping and missing persons is now added into the mix. Enter new paranormals into the story and we have a party!
There is so much more I can say about this book but that would contain some serious spoilers so I will hold off on that part. But I WILL say this, this story is slow going and though we have many points to focus on, I felt that they were never really touched upon. We have two relationships going but neither feels genuine. You have one growing and one that is already grown but nothing of substance to latch onto or love. When memories return, those few paragraphs are more exciting than the story itself. It definitely ends in a cliffhanger of sorts but it wasn’t all that exciting. I know more can be written for this story so will this be a series? If so, how long will it go one before we get all the answers and no more questions?
I don’t want to bash on this story because it has plenty of potential but since I received this free in exchange for an honest review, I also can’t just let this one slide off the radar just so nothing bad can be said. I have more opinions on this but I don’t want to take away from anyone’s possible excitement over this. So once it has been released I will add more, but for now this is where I leave it.
*update*
These are my additions to my previous review
1. I didn’t like how thick Carter was laying it down for Victoria in the beginning. He was evasive and seemed way too cocky for my liking. But as their relationship grew I began to like him, a lot. But then I started to hate Victoria. She seemed cold and allusive but also seemed to have NO intention of letting Carter down nicely, she led him along and in the end she just hated him. It clearly hurt and bothered him.
2. Victoria is a wolf but doesn’t remember this, yet when she feels the pains of needing to shift she never does. Why? Why don’t we get to learn of this? Is she really going to deteriorate because of this?
3. Adding the Valkyrie, Soleil, into the mix is a nice touch! I actually liked her and what she brought to the table. She seemed genuine and just a plain bad ass!
4. When Toby is kidnapped and tortured, Victoria cared in the beginning but while she was faking emotions with Carter, she just forgot about Toby like nothing. Her curiosity for him obviously isn’t grand and neither are her potential feelings.
5. Apparently Victoria was a ploy to get to Toby, again why?
6. When Toby escapes you’d think that he would be cautious of his surroundings and that people are after him. But he is so nonchalant about it all that I actually kind of hoped he’d get got!
7. As I said before, the memory return was a lot more exciting than anything else. Maybe because it gave us some answers. We got to see into her family and death.
8. My BIGGEST issue is the way that this ended. We have more questions than we do answers. How did Victoria come back from the dead? Why did they do it? Why did they want Toby? Who are the Jags in the big scheme of things? -
If i overlook the inconsistencies and common sense (which i did bc not every book needs to be taken seriously), i really did enjoy what i was reading. I was looking forward to the next thing that was going to happen and what made it better was the pacing. It’s pretty fast paced so i didn’t have to wait long for answers. Seriously. You didn’t have time to let the questions sink in because it was going to be answered in a few pages. Or in a few chapters but truly didn’t feel very long.

This book was fantastic! I was sucked in from the very beginning. I liked the concept and the mystery surrounding the main plot. Then, there was the romance. Two hot guys? Yes, please. The author left it in such a way that I'm dying for the next book! Five glittery stars!
-
Awful. I read a lot of paranormal and have never seen a Beta referred to as an Assistant Alpha.
Victoria realizes she has no idea about her past beyond the past few days. Hoping for a resolution at then end? Dream on. The reader gets a partial answer. Her memories and ability to shift were suppressed. Who did this and why? And would you not expect her to retain some wolfy sense? Yet she can’t sniff out other shifters. Did I mention she DIED and apparently was brought back to life at the same time as others but they remembered their past. Mentioned and glossed over.
I guess Toby had part of his story revealed in another series but honestly, an Alpha who manages to get himself captured and held for a month when his packmates knew where he’d gone and never came out from? I can’t see where I’d have any interest in another series that features him. -
OMG!! This book was so awesome. I highly recommend this to the paranormal romance lovers.
-
This book was not only poorly written but it made absolutely no sense. The suspense was anticlimactic at best and the romance was forced and severely lacking. Will not be continuing this series.

Book Title: Lost Wolf
Author: Stacy Claflin
Introduction: This book was a requested book review. Everything I say is honest - I have no obligation to make this a fluffy/nice review. I was given this book in return for an honest review.
Review:
Lost Wolf is the first novel in the Curse of the Moon series. It's a fantasy, paranormal, romance-esque book.
Victoria is off at college - which I can definitely relate to. As someone who went to both University and College, I can relate to the major change. Of course, Victoria has a very different change in mind than your typical college student... She can't remember anything - no memories, no family, nothing, na da! And for some reason, Jaguars are everywhere - in name, in physical form, and it's just plain strange!
But what happens when someone recognizes her? Was there a kidnapping? Missing people? A death? So many questions, so many mysteries.
Starting off with this book, chapter 1 has me interested. It seems like a Young Adult-esque, kind of goofy, fun feel. I really enjoy the banter and female lead. Coming from someone who needs a fast, great start - this book has it at the beginning. After only reading the first chapter, this is definitely off to a great start.
This novel slowly reveals information to you. While I find it personally a not fitting part of the book, some readers may appreciate this. In my YA/Romance/Fantasy-esque books, I like the information up front if it's not a mystery novel. But this novel does have a splash of mystery, so it can fit. It's not a mark against this book, but some readers may not appreciate this aspect.
It moves at a slow pace - which for readers like me can be a major issue. I really like a fast moving story. Slow stories can be interesting, but personally it didn't hit all the tempo notes for me. I love fast moving stories!
The voice and tone of this novel is not your typical writing voice. I liked this different writing style as someone who likes to write in this very tone. After reading other reviews, I find that this voice is what makes this book stand out. With all the fantasy/paranormal/romance books out there, having this tone made the book a little step up compared to all the other typical/mediocre novels out there.
That being said - this story has so much potential for a series. The plot itself is incredible, there are so many places this story can go! On top of that, as a reader I felt drawn towards these characters. I'm invested and I want to know more. Mixing all of that in with the lore, the backstory and fantastic voice this book has - I'm invested.
Overall, yes this story was slow. For me, that would have been a deal breaker if this story wasn't so intriguing. Were there general issues with the plot or side comments? Yes, but there always are in all books these days. If you can look past the small, silly issues and you don't typically get hung up on small plot holes/issues then this book will be great for you!
Four out of five stars. -
2⭐️
This book was ok for about 40 pages. Then the real storyline came in and ruined the entire book. Like had the author just continued with the original story line if prob would have atleast been a 2.5 lol -
My Review:
Overall: 3.5
Performance: 4.0
Story: 3.0
Overall, I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. There were a few issues with the story though and I believe that part of that may have been world issues that weren't clarified...maybe. When the book begins, it's with Victoria realizing she has no memories of her life before this moment. And this is where I had the biggest issue with this story. The girl doesn't freak out...at all. She's really rather chill and laidback about it all, and that just didn't feel right. Now, like I mentioned before, this could be an unclarified world detail. This is a paranormal world and as the story develops, it's obvious that something supernatural has happened to Victoria. Is it possible that whatever happened to her (maybe a spell of some sort) that it could have also calmed her so she wouldn't react to her bizarre circumstances (I'm thinking a calming spell, maybe?) But I don't know...it's never explained and left as it was, it just didn't feel quite right.
But that was just a little niggle. There were a lot of unanswered questions that flow throughout the story. And it's going to be hard to discuss any of them without revealing spoilers, because there are definitely a TON of unknowns throughout this story. Some answers are revealed in the story and some that are not. This is one of three books and there are a few other things that bothered me, but again, just like my initial niggle, I'm just not sure. At the end of this book, the story is nowhere close to being done...so it's possible that those things will be explained later.
At times, the characters read as a little shallow. They are all going through some big emotional hits and that didn't always translate into their actions.
Overall, I did enjoy listening to the audiobook. I thought the narrators did a good job. The world was interesting enough to keep me captivated. I'm just now sure about the story line between Toby and Victoria. I think I needed them to be more emotionally vested in one another to get me more emotionally invested.
So kind of a wishy-washy review, but the book kind of gave me that feeling, too. -
So why did I keep reading this? I blame Romanceopoly. I needed a new adult set in college and this one was that AND it was paranormal (with amnesia!). My track record with most NA sucking (IMO) continues.....
This was so ridiculous. Victoria is a freshman at college with no memory of anything about her past. I thought she treated her amnesia (at least at first) in a "no deal big, I'll make new memories!" kind of way. She was shallow. It made more of a difference when her credit cards didn't work/assets frozen. She drives a Jaguar. She meets a guy named Carter Jag whose family owns a hot club named "The Jag." There's kidnapping and numerous different paranormals added to the mix.
This just didn't work for me. I didn't like Victoria and I was ambivalent about Toby and Carter. -
3.5 stars
Well written. Nothing to deep or angsty but for sure held my attention.
A girl with no memory of yesterday or any days prior to her arriving at college. It was very intriguing and will continue on with the series.
I will admit: I will continue the series at a later time. I was just wanting to read something not so teeny. -
Whoa! Non stop action. Love, hotness, and paranormal glory. I just have one problem. . . I WANTED MORE!
-
why????? I wanted to love it, I really did. But it was all over the place, some parts didn't make sense. After the she recognized the professor, it all went down hill after that.

This is Book 1 of 6 in the author’s 'Curse of the Moon' series (all published 2016/2017). It has a 4.3/5 star rating with over 1,100 ratings. At this time of this review, it’s around #700 in the free kindle store. These are self-published and Claflin has a 5-book spin-off series called 'Valhalla's Curse' featuring one of the characters in the Moon series. The cover art seems appropriate for the genre.
I think I came across a free copy of this e-book via a Bookfunnel promo where you get a freebie in exchange for signing up for the author’s mailing list. It’s a ‘shifter’ paranormal romance novel of about 300 pages and relatively clean and chaste. So a sweet YA werewolf story (though a bit violent at times) and not a ‘New Adult’ novel where the subject matter is supposedly more spicy. (I wouldn’t know!)
With freebies, I usually give the e-book about 10 percent to grab my interest. Some e-books I abandon right away; definitely by 20 percent it’s off to the DNF pile if I’m not hooked. Lost Wolf almost lost me at the beginning. It starts with a female protag (Victoria) who wakes up and has no memory of her past. Not my favorite trope or literary device. The other 1st person POV is Toby, supposedly her former love.
The writing is generally fair and the set-up interesting enough, so I kept going little by little. Plus, I’m thinking about writing a PNR novel and this was part of my research. (grin) While I wouldn’t say this story was all that gripping (I read it off and on over about 6 months as a bedtime read – a few pages before I nodded off to sleep), the plot wasn’t quite as predictable as I first reckoned. So I eventually finished it, more out of curiosity than excitement.
Overall, then, I’d give 'Lost Wolf' a 3’ish out of 5 stars. It’s a ‘book one’ structured story so not all the plot threads are tied up at the end. In fact, as I read other reviews this was the biggest complaint. It’s overly long (at 300 pages) and doesn’t really satisfy the mystery of Victoria’s memory loss or her tragic background. Too many implausible situations as well. Plus, a lot of daily life description that just wasn’t very interesting and didn’t advance the plot.
Maybe for KU readers, the length and loose strings are good things. They can binge the series ‘for free’ (monthly fee to read all the e-books you want) and they can automatically move to book 2 to find out the answers. For me, I likely will not continue the series. But at 1000-plus ratings, Claflin must have a nice sized following, so more power to her. -
This is an interesting take on alpha shifters finding their mates. This one the Mate had disappeared 40 years ago only to turn up five years ago with no memory of who or what she is. 40 years of searching leads to a very hot and strange encounter.

(RabidReads.com)Overall 3.5/5 stars Listened. Ever totally forget to review a book when you meant to? When I remembered, I started listening to it again to refresh my memory and got pulled right back into the story. So I have listened to it twice in about two months time. I think I liked it a bit better the second time, although I am not sure exactly why because there are problems.
Victoria is a freshmen in college and has just moved into her dorm. She’s settling in and making friends. Attending a party and accepting a date. Pretty normal stuff for a young girl. But, and here is my main problem with this read, she has no memories before she got to campus. She’s driving a jaguar, has credit cards and I.D., money in the bank, but no one to tell her who she is. Now, me if that happened, I would be at the police department first thing or the hospital to get checked out. Does she do any of that? No, and she tells none of her new friends either. She just goes partying and enjoying herself. It made no sense. And maybe it isn’t supposed to. There are at least two more books in this series, and maybe it will finally get explained. I hope so, because if not, well then it’s just not realistic. There are witches in this book, so possibly a spell? We do get a few answers, but not exact ones.
Along the way, she meets Carter. Carter is the son of the owner of an exclusive nightclub in town and usually doesn’t hang out that much with other students. He shows up at her dorm party and pretty much immediately asks her out and of course she goes. Then she goes to her first day of classes and recognizes one of her professors, Toby, and he recognizes her as well. Does either one of them say anything? No. Another problem I had with this read! Of course, she doesn’t know why she remembers him, but he sure does! Toby is not only a professor, but is also the wolf pack leader in town.
So while I liked the initial premise of the story, it was not without its problems. However, I enjoyed Victoria as a character, even while wishing she would do something already about her missing memories! But as I mentioned, there could be paranormal reasons for this. I really liked Toby and his back story quite a bit. Carter came off as pretty great as well, but he is hiding some things, so that made me not like him as well. Another thing I enjoyed was the inclusion of a supernatural bar, set in the middle of the woods, and spelled against anything not supernatural. At times it reminded me of the Star Wars bar scenes, with all the different aliens, only these were all sorts of supernatural characters.
Narration? Elise Arsenault and Rudy Sanda did a fairly good job, especially Elise Arsenault. When Mr. Sanda did the villain’s voice, it came off like something out of The Simpsons or something similar. Cartoonish, and it took me out of the story. But that was really my only problem and I did listen twice so that should count for something, as I do own the eBook as well. Narration was 4/5 stars for me.
On purpose, I have not told much of the story and more intricate details about Victoria. I just think that would take away from the story for the reader. This ended up being a paranormal romance and mystery as well. Love triangle? Maybe, not sure yet. Lots of different kinds of supernatural creatures added to the story and we get to know several of them. I recommend this to paranormal romance readers that like a mystery. At this point, it’s not an adult read, but that may change in the next books. I should also mention that there is violence and some of it is pretty bad. I do have book two already and I hope some of my unanswered questions get answered. -
great read!
Second chance love is amazing... although they didn't explain some things I guess that is what the second book is for.. we will see! -
Great big tear inducing story of love lost to death but relocated with magic and fortitude. Victoria is just starting her freshman year of college in Washington State. She realizes she can't remember anything prior to arriving at The Waldensian, a mansion that holds 50 students of the college. She didn't realize she had no memories while she was running the forest trails and came across a wolf that she decided to speak to and it acted like a dog towards her. It wasn't until she made it back home for a barbecue, and a cute guy, Christian Jag asked her to attend a formal dance with her. Her roommate asked her about her family while she was helping her do her hair and makeup. Victoria almost started crying her eyes out, she checked her phone and wallet for any signs of her parents phone number or anything to jog her memory. She went to The Jag, a super exclusive club that had dining, dancing, and a spa. Christian is very attentive and makes her feel special. Before they go in the dance club section, she is handed a bag that looks like potpourri and has no idea what to do with it. Christian is handed his own bag and he takes a huge sniff and puts it inside his tux and hands Victoria's bag back to the bouncers. They danced all night.
When she has about 2 hours sleep, it is time for freshman orientation and she is running on fumes.
Her roommate drags her out of bed and makes her head for the shower. At orientation she is introduced to her statistics professor Foley.
Professor Foley looks at her and she has a flash of what he smells like and how his hair feels. She cannot concentrate on anything he says.
Toby Foley has been searching for Victoria for so long, his favorite witch found a general location and there she is, one of his students. He can tell she has no memories and wants to figure out how she didn't shift on the full moon.
Christian is her constant companion, but she won't have sex with him and she tells him about her memory loss and when her credit cards are turned off, Toby buys her lunch. Victoria is sure she is going to have nowhere to live and no money for college.
Toby doesn't like her being touched by a jaguar shifter and tries to get in to Jag to spy and he is caught and held in the dungeon, while Victoria is working in the spa.
She finds out he is missing when he never made it to teach class and he is missing for weeks. She overhears about him when she is looking for a supply closet. She locates Toby, and is embarrassed that he is nude and filthy, so she runs upstairs to the closet she hid in and brings him waiter clothes and they both take off out of there. She is pissed when she finds out she was bait to lure him to the club.
Will she find out how or why, and will she regain her memory of her life before showing up at the college by trusting Toby and his friends to help her? -
You know those kind of memory loss ideas where the character has forgotten everything… but still manages to talk, walk, drive a car, use a phone, do their makeup etc.
She can’t remember anything from before two days ago when she drove into the new college where she now lives but she comes fully equipped with a Jaguar car, laptop, phone (that’s connected and working), credit cards and a full luxury wardrobe.
And she remembers that she’s lost her memory… uh huh. *frowns*Later, I would worry about trying to figure out why I had no memories. I finished getting ready and headed downstairs,
Really?
I reckon it’ll be fine because she’s the shallowest main character I’ve read in a while.
First day she’s asked out on a date by the best looking guy at the party. He wants to take her to a nightclub called Jag and she thinks this is somehow significant.Carter leaned closer. "You can come as my guest. It's a really private, exclusive club. It's called the Jag."
I nearly choked on the drink. The Jag? Like my car was a Jaguar?
Then she freaks when she discovers his name is Carter Jag.What was the deal with jaguars showing up everywhere?
It’s his NAME and his father OWNS the club, you fool. Then they go shopping and he picks her up with a corsage (wtf?) and this has all taken ONE day. *facepalms*
He owns a Ferrari. It was so soft and supple and conformed to me as I sank in. It relaxed me, and almost made me forget my troubles— much in the same way Carter did.
She met him at lunchtime TODAY.
The club has no menus - Carter says they are ‘limitations’ - so you can just order whatever you want. Wtf? How on earth can you cater for that?
… and this is so silly it makes my brain hurt.

Love story for the ages!
I forgot I read this series a long time ago. I bought it because I loved it so much. I am glad I stumbled on it in Amazon and wondered if I had read it. I've read a ton of shifter books! After awhile they start to meld together. I only read this one once, until now. Toby is swoon-worthy. Any guy as loving, sweet & thoughtful as him is perfect in my book. Not to mention so hot all the college girls harass him. I mean girls always have crushes on their college professors, right? However, if they really knew what he shifted into they would run screaming. Besides he has only had eyes for his soulmate. Then there's Carter sure he's sweet, nice & thoughtful but he's not Toby. And it's obvious there is a reason she won't even let him get to first base. Her wolf won't let her because she belongs to Toby. I don't like Carter from the start & I realize it's not his fault his dad is evil. Plus I can't believe he thought he stood a chance at being her true love compared to Toby. Really what future did he expect to have with a wolf, he's a jaguar. There is no way his dad would let them marry. It would soil their genes. I would hate to be Victoria because she had to relive her tragic life twice. That's too much trauma for one person! -
Lost Wolf is the first book in the Curse of the Moon series and it's different to other paranormal stories I've read. Victoria arrives at college without any memories of her prior life and it surprised me that she doesn't put all her energy into finding out what happened. Instead she goes to college and tries to live a normal life. Her stats professor seems to trigger some lost memory but she doesn't try to find out any more. She let's Carter take her to the Jag regularly and that's the difference to other paranormal books: Victoria is dealing with Jaguars, so called cat shifters. Never heard of them but she also encounters other creatures like a Valkyrie who drinks her essence to find out how much she remembered. Who is responsible for her memory loss? What role are the Jags playing and what will happen to her long lost werewolf love?
-
This book had great potential. I’m a sucker for long lost amnesia love stories, but this was just bad. I am currently in college and I can assure you this is not how it works. At all. If it wasn’t the poor setting, it was the cheesy dialogue or the unrealistic characters. I’m upset I actually spent money to sit and read through this book.

2.5 stars rounded up... I found it entertaining, but I didn't particularly care for Victoria... There were a couple WTF moments with her, like when she realizes she doesn't remember anything and freaks out but there's a party so "I'll think about it later" What?! I'll be in the hospital, that's absolutely not normal! Or when she gasps and almost chokes on her drink because the club the stalkerish guy she just met has invited her to is called "Jag".
The timeline was very confusing.Everything in the first two thirds of the book happens in like 3 or 4 days (not very sure, since it was weird). And she had only three classes? everyday the same? I guess since she basically lives forever she's in no hurry to finish college, since at that rate it would take her like 50 years to finish. And at what time did Toby teach? because it seemed he only taught the class Victoria was in, since the rest of the time he was either at the bar or at his house. Yet we're told he had other courses.
I don't think Carter was a nice guy, though the author seemed to try to sell it that way... His reaction when Victoria mentions she's in Toby's class is very suspect; I can't buy it when he says later that he didn't know anything (even though the author lays it a little too thick that he didn't know and his father was behind all of it).
Victoria seems kind of shallow (she cares more about the party than her memory loss, after all), and she keeps thinking how hot the professor is, or how handsome Carter looks.
The romance was meh. I mean, Toby is already head over heels in love, but we don't really know why, just that he is. And we're told Carter fell in love even when the guy knows her for all of three days. I would accept that if there was mention of fated mates or something, but that doesn't seem to be a thing in this universe, so the insta-love from Carter is just creepy. Specially when she literally has to ignore every instinct to even get near him.
Finally, we never get any freaking answers! Victoria recovers some of her memories, but we still don't know why she lost them in the first place, or how did she come back from the dead, or why she can't shift during the full moon, or what did the jaguars want Toby for. This last tidbit was the answer to why the jaguars were interested in Victoria, by the way. Victoria passes out in the forest, with Alex, and the next scene she's in the mansion with Toby. How did she get there? And what the fuck happened to Alex? can't the wolves smell he's a wolfborn? because they seem to think he's just a regular wolf. To summarize, there are more questions than we had at the beginning, and no answers.
Anyway, it was entertaining, but I didn't care enough for the characters to invest my time in reading the rest of the series. -
Who am I ?
Lost, confused, forgotten that is what Victoria felt when she arrived at uni. Everything that has happened before she had gotten to uni was no existent in her memory.
Though it doesn’t take long for feelings from the past to stur inside her as she gazes at her math teacher but live is in the air as another hot male has eyes for her and is more then ready to pounce on her like a cat as he draws her in with kindness, wealth and sweetness.
Even with her past still a blank that doesn’t stop her past from drawing her back into a world of supernatural.
A very romantic book full of supernatural creatures that reject/accept one another. The book has a very nice story line that smoothly flows nicely.
The book has unanswered questions to what happened to the characters and what is going to happen urging you to carry on reading.
Though I’d suggest there needs to be more action and anticipation, more interaction with the other pack members as they felt a little irrelevant, especially when they knew where Toby was and basically did nothing to get him out from the Jag.
Another problem I had was the emotions some of the characters portrayed where a little odd. For example why didn’t Victoria at the beginning of the book freak out more when she realised she didn’t remember anything before she arrived. It’s like she shrugged it off and it wasn’t until the problems with her cards did she really think it was a problem.
Over a I thought it was a lovely book to read. Especially if you enjoy romance, supernatural beings.
There’s more than one book in the series and by the sounds of this book the following ones will also be from Toby’s and Victoria’s point of view again.
Looking forward to reading the following books 😊
