  One word: wow. I need this book to be turned into a movie and allow the main character to narrate the story.
  
  I could not put this book down. Definitely in my top 5 of thrillers. Warren spins a unique tale by introducing us to Dr. Kaine, a protagonist who’s a psychologist. He's able to “read” people and use his knowledge to his advantage. I first read the novella and then the sequel the author offered for free. Warren packed so much into the story, and frankly, you never really know what’s going to happen or how Kaine is going to get out of the hairy situations he winds up in.
  
  There are plenty of good reasons to read these books: Great protagonist, great storyline, fast-moving and believable story. Now I just need the author to write faster. I can’t wait to see what he throws at the good doctor next!

And it is free for purchase on Amazon as of the date of this review. It is free for purchase, NOT through Kindle Unlimited. At the end of the novel, Warren describes how and why he wrote this novel and mentions how he decided to follow up his characters with second and third novels that together have 110 000 additional words. Follow the provided link and get both of those books for free up to July 17, 2017. The link will download all three novels. After reading the first one, this was a deal I did not want to pass up.
  
  WARNING: SPOILER ALERT I get dangerously close to a spoiler here but the temptation was just too much and I believe it is vague and hidden. Readers will have to read the entire novel to figure out what I mean so I don't consider it a spoiler.
  
  Jon Kaine is a Doctor of Psychology. The novel opens in a bar where Jon didn't fit in. His clothes were wrong, his accent was wrong, and the bar appeared to be a local membership type in a rundown neighborhood. There were a few male drunks and a couple of them were getting rowdy. Jon was preparing his exit strategies knowing that he was going to be a logical target for drunks who don't appreciate outsiders. And then the girl walked in, out of place much, much more than Jon. Natalie had made noise coming into the bar with the rolling carry-on (empty) luggage. She knew right away that she had to exit the place; she hoped he could leave with Jon. First a bathroom break. Then we, the readers, leave the bar as the action moves to an airplane.
  
  An airplane flight which encounters a lot of turbulence gives Jon a chance to do some people watching and use his psychologist skills to reflect on the reactions of people to frightening situations. He doesn't mind sharing his observations with Lillian, a fellow passenger. She seems a bit put off by his arrogance but eventually starts using some of his techniques to put him in his place. This is quite clever to read. How many times do two strangers meet who can quote Seneca to each other?
  
  But Jon Kaine, while that might be his real name, has a few other names. Lillian might not be Lillian. A few other passengers might have alternate identities. And Jon has come to terms with the idea that he is entering the US to commit a crime. Jon is not an intentional criminal, he is not a superhero, and he has no hidden martial arts defense strategies. In some of the developing violence, he could have used some of the latter. He is left only with his knowledge of human psychology and how to push buttons to influence human behavior. How he does this makes this a very interesting novel that will appeal to those who liked the TV series Lie To Me and the character played by Bill Nighy in the BBC spy film Page Eight.

  Ok first I don't like writing these but as this is someone just starting I had to do my part.Second did I say that this man has real talent?this is fun,smart,and just down right entertaining.Well be looking out for any and all new thrillers from this author.Bravo....

  This book was short and sweet.
  
  Okay, it wasn't really sweet. But what I mean is that there was nothing to hate in it.
  
  Nick Warren did a great job of dissolving my time with this book. I started it in the morning, thought about it all day long, and stayed up way too late to finish it. His pacing was spot on and the story was very well delivered.
  
  I typically don't like prose that cuts out all the extraneous words, but Warren's prose made excellent use of every single word and every single sentence. Not a drop was wasted. I was very impressed. His word choice was precise and I found the writing to be quite intense and driving even though it was "bare bones."
  
  I also loved the repetition. Throughout the book the narrator keeps saying things and circling back to them. Quotes, ideas, philosophies, situations. It builds in a subtle, almost subconscious way, and it makes the whole book feel very tightly written and cohesive.
  
  My only qualm was that there were a few things that didn't quite line up across the international divide (Americans would say "ad," not "advert"), but they were certainly not deal-breakers.
  
  Reading Execution Is Everything is fun because Jon Kaine, though sometimes a little arrogant, is usually quite honest about his strengths and weaknesses and plays to his strengths. He uses fun and interesting ways to solve problems. I especially enjoyed the situation at the end. Even though the way he got out of the scrape would have been good enough for me, Warren laces that whole scene with Kaine's worries that it isn't working, making it even more believable.
  
  If you like Patrick Jane from the Mentalist, you'll probably also like this book.
  
  I daren't read Warren's other books right now or else I'll lose weeks of my life to them (if I start I won't be able to stop!), but I'll look forward to reading more of Jon Kaine in the future.

  A great short novel.
  
  I really liked this book. I loved the psychology used to outwit the "bad guys". And I really enjoyed the information about how the human brain makes the body react in different ways to differing circumstances.
  The reason for a 4 instead of a 5 was because of the use of the F word.

  For a short story it packs quite a punch. I just loved the character of Dr. Jon Kaine. He was smart, cheeky, and a somewhat of a badass, in that he showed no fear in the face of danger. I was so glad to see this short story continued with full length books! I'm so excited. I've found a great new author (to me) in Nick Warren. If you read this book you won't be disappointed.

  A great book that is a fast read. Great read for a thee hour or more ride to work or on a trip .
  
  It keeps you thinking what else can happen to this poor guy. Is he a hit man or what is the reason for this trip.

  Absolutely brilliant first book by Nick Warren. Fantastic storyline and characters. Haven't been able to put it down since beginning the first page and have downloaded the next two free installments straight away . I would happily highly recommend!

  I read the pilot and am now reading the full book. The pilot is worth reading, good action and lots of thought provoking script. Some of the spelling is a little weird but that could have something to do with the difference in UK English and US English. The one thing that I had a problem with is the female cop at the beginning, "Natalie". She is such a weakling! She should have been written stronger and way more knowledgeable in self-defense skills. Other than that the book is well worth the read, especially since it is completely free. Can't beat that.
  When I finish the full book I will update my review.
  
  So, now that I have finished the book I can tell you that I no longer have a problem with the lady cop.
  I did have the whodunit figured down to two, but it was so worth reading to figure out which one and why. Cudos Nick, Good book.

  Short but sweet. Instead of disarming the villains with martial arts, Jon Kaine disarms them with psychology. I love the way tghe first and second halves of the book come together.

  A good, quick story. Not an extraneous word as Jon Kaine is drawn into danger when he stops at a bar to kill some time. A limited cast of characters provides the basis for action that continues unchecked. After an exciting buildup, the end sequence is so suspenseful I forgot to breath. Every word has meaning, and I immediately wanted to reread this book to try to absorb them all.

  For the first couple of pages I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this novella. It had the feel of a old style gum-shoe detective story. However once beyond that first little bit I was hooked, in fact I couldn't put it down.
  
  The story developed fast and gave good characters who were engaging and believable.
  
  It contains more depth than a lot of stories of this length.
  
  If you like reading about action, crime, psychology, drama...... Let's change that..... If you like reading - you'll like (if not love) this book!
