Kindergarten ABC Book Reviews

  • Katelyn Reagan

This book was cute. I like that it is not only an ABC book but also a look book as well.
The plot is very simple. On Aa days we bring things that start with Aa and on Bb day we bring things that start with Bb.

This is a good kindergarten book. It helps the kids start to think about what to expect when they get to school. I would recommend this book to others.

  • Glynnis

Nothing mind blowing, but Little Man really enjoys this one because it has an "I Spy" element.
Lots of sounding out the letters, so that's good!

This book does a great job a using the alphabet to tell the story of what the kids do each day in kindergarten. This book shows kindergarten as a fun place to be, all the kids in the pictures are happy and doing fun things with their classmates. One thing that was unique about this book was that not only did it have a page for every letter but it also had an “I spy” type list of things to find in the picture. Also, each item on the list started with the letter of which day it was that day. This engages the child and teaches them multiple words that start with that letter. This book would be fun to use in a small group reading session- allowing every student to have a turn to try to find the item on the list. This interactive well illustrated book will be a big hit for younger kids.

Definitely on the easy side for some of the Kindergarten kids I work with, but for others it'll be a fun book for them to find the items listed on each page and also to practice new words. This book would be good for when I need to give some of the kids something to do quietly while I work one-on-one with another student in our group. Definitely should have a couple of these on hand!

In this book they have letter days up to "Z," and they bring in a certain thing. On the last day, they go to the zoo. -by Alexander
