Hera: Awakening the Mistress Reviews

What a pleasant surprise this read was! I was expecting a kinda dark, kinky Domme/sub tale, but this is so much more! What we see in Hera are the feelings so many women face at one time or another; the low self-esteem, the feelings of being a failure .... the desire to dominate, at the same time wanting to be taken & dominated. Such conflict! And all of this is written in a way that is sexy, funny, enlightening, surprising & even romantic - all at the same time! And the Den of Feminiquity is an epic idea!
This was my first chance to read work by Authoress Laurell Emily Grey, but it definitely will not be the last! This was thoroughly enjoyable! -
Flove the term feminiquity!! So happy to read Hera's story. She was such a hard person, unhappy and mean in the previous books. To start off this book with Hera in despair was a shock. Mother Nature is a bit of a trip and I am not sure I like her style, but ultimately she does have Hera's best interests at heart.
Love the subs that Hera claims. I found myself questioning Hera's intention and belief in the whole domme process. Definitely a new direction for Hera, but the Den of Feminiquity is just the place for Hera to come to terms with her past and look forward to her future! -
Definitely worth the wait. Hera's awakening is just that, it's a glimpse into a real Goddess/Mistress in the making. What I wouldn't give for one day to trade places and release all my inhibitions with a sub or two

This book puts a kinky, hot twist on Greek mythology and I think you'll love it.
After a bad divorce from Zeus, Hera must find herself again and what a better way than to lose herself with two men.
Good writing style, very intriguing storyline and smokin' hot scenes makes this book a must read! -
A quick racey read
A quick read giving Hera her well deserved ending. Just enough racey scenes to keep any reader entertained. The author spins a tale so beautiful and well written you feel like you are right in the middle of all the action. -
First off I received a gifted copy of this book. Now, as I start all my reviews. There are four elements that to me make a great book. It must make you laugh, cry, want to throw it, and then never want to put it down. Laurell Emily Grey’s book Hera was the perfect mix of sweet, sexy, and full romantic twists. It grabs you the moment you start. I loved the bond between Hera, Dylan and Flint so simple but yet the most complex thing in the world. I didn’t cry per say but there a point that was very very close. This was a very fun read, and I look forward to reading more of her works.

Hera is in need of some help after her divorce, and her friend Gaia has just the thing. She plans on turning her into a Domme/Mistress. Things go well, maybe a bit to well for Hera. Flint and Dylan are just perfect and naughty all at once. I really enjoyed this and loved the ending. I was very happy to read Hera's story after reading the Nymph's Oath series. This was the perfect ending for Hera!

Triple the hotness!
Goddess Her a turns into a dominatrix. After months of training, she gets subs Dylan and Flint.
I have to say I loved the book! Was very sad to see it end. Laurell wrote this book beautifully! I can't wait to see what other sexiness come next! -

Hera: Awakening the Mistress by Laurell Emily Grey is the story focuses on Hera, the now former wife, of Zeus. The divorce is over. Hera is a single woman yet again and it is really hurting her. She and Zeus were married for so many years, years that have spanned time for millennia, and now it is all over because Zeus chose another. Gaia, seeing how broken Hera is behind Zeus, comes down to help her and give her a push in the right direction. Gaia has some secrets of her own and Hera is about to become privy to them. Hera is broken behind the break of her relationship and Zeus’s betrayal. Can she heal herself with some help or will she strive to remake herself totally and fight what she feels when she meets two exceptional men?
Hera: Awakening the Mistress is the story you have been waiting for to learn more about Hera, the queen of the gods. If you’ve read the Nymph’s Oath series then you’ve read how Zeus was making moves to divorce Hera so that he could be with another. Gaia, the mother of earth, steps in and takes Hera to a new place and introduces her to something new. Gaia, takes the men who have been unfaithful or done wrongs and punishes them by empowering the women instead. She encourages the women to be the ones who dominate men. Gaia calls her place the Den of Feminiquity. This book moves at a quick place and is a hot steamy read.
The author, Laurell Emily Grey, does a great job really bringing this story to life. We see Hera broken and hurting and then with help she finds herself. Hera acknowledges the truth that she is hiding as she engages with the two men that she chooses. This story has a plot twist that I didn’t see coming but I really enjoyed it very much.
This story does have explicit sexual situations and is not a clean read. So if you are someone who does not enjoy intense sexual situations then I don’t recommend this book for you. However, if you are a fan of Laurell Emily Grey’s other novels and enjoy her work overall then I say welcome and dive on in. This is one book that you are thoroughly going to enjoy. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
